J.Lo’s list of demands for WMA includes diamond-encrusted headphones!

London, May 19 (ANI): Latino Singer Jennifer Lopez has agreed to sing at the World Music Awards but that has come with a huge price.

As part of her demand list, she has asked for a helicopter ‘on stand-by’.

She has also demanded a custom-fitted speedboat – complete with love seat, faux leather seats and a champagne fridge.

The 40-year-old has also asked for a pair of 3,000-pound-diamond-encrusted headphones to keep the noise of the boat”s motor.

“Jennifer was partying on board Sir Philip Green”s yacht in Cannes before being transferred by speed boat to Monaco for the WMA,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

“Her people requested that she have an entire floor of the hotel to herself to ensure she wasn”t hassled. Privacy was a main concern so she had a piece of beach roped off, too.

“She spent the morning playing there with the kids. But she declined the offer of a butler, insisting she was happy to do things for herself,” the source added. (ANI)

Jay-Z nixes Chris Brown’s plans to perform at BET Awards

New York, July 1 (ANI): Jay-Z thrashed Chris Brown’s hopes of returning on stage at the BET Awards, in a bid to pay tribute to late King of Pop Michael Jackson.

Brown has been low-key since beating up his ex-girlfriend (and Jay-Z’s artist), Rihanna, earlier this year.

Apparently, Brown was supposed to participate in the Jacko tribute at LA’s Shrine Auditorium, but Jay-Z pulled the plug on the plans.

“Jay-Z wasn’t having it. He threatened to pull out of the show if Chris was involved, so BET dropped Chris,” the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

A representative for Brown said: “That’s not true-he was never confirmed to perform.”

Brown was close to Jackson and performed ‘Thriller’ at the World Music Awards in 2006. (ANI)

Friends and fans ‘devastated’ by Jacko’s sudden death

London, June 26 (ANI): King of Pop Michael Jackson’s sudden death on Thursday has left his friends and fans absolutely devastated.

The 50-year-old singer is said to have died after suffering a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles.

“Like the whole world I’m absolutely devastated and lost for words because everyone expected him to come to London for the concerts,” Sky News quoted his friend Uri Geller, the self-proclaimed psychic, as saying.

“He was in good health, he was rehearsing, dancing , practising for the shows in England. I am shocked. I cannot – I do not want to – believe what I’m hearing or seeing,” Geller added.

Another pal and former PR representative Jonathan Morrish said: “I worked with him for over 25 years. It was a complete privilege.”

“I last saw him when he was last in London, which was for the World Music Awards, and he was his usual, lovely gentlemanly self.

“He was fine (health-wise). You don’t get to the top of the tree like he did without being incredibly strong – mentally and physically,” Morrish added.

Music legend Quincy Jones, who produced Jackson’s legendary “Thriller” album, said: “I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news.

“To this day, the music we created together on Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication.

“He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever.

“I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him,” Jones added.

Actor Ashton Kutcher has posted a message on his Twitter blog: “RIP. Sending love and light to family and friend but especially his kids.” (ANI)
