Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon renew wedding vows

New York, May 03 (ANI): American singer Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon renewed their wedding vows to celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary at their Beverly Hills home.

According to TMZ, Carey and Cannon renewed their pledges in a detailed ceremony.

The ‘One Sweet Day’ singer wore a veil and a lacey white dress while hubby Cannon sported a dove-white suit as the pair exchanged rings, reports the New York Daily News.

According to People.com, Cannon gifted Carey a diamond-encrusted Ring Pop doppelganger designed by Jason of Beverly Hills Jewellers.

“So last night”s wedding vow renewal & small party was a SG. Too many cameras from close & far! but it was beautiful. NC is the best: ),” Carey’s Twitter page said.

“The festive moments continue Dahhlings! Sending LOVE to all the LAMBS in the land as always and happiness to everyone out there x,” it further said. (ANI)

Carla Bruni pledges £43,000 donation for L’Aquila quake hospital

London, July 11 (ANI): French First lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy gave glimpse of her philanthropist side as she pledged a personal donation of a whopping 43,000 pounds to a hospital treating survivors of earthquake- ravaged town of L’Aquila.

The former model-singer visited the earthquake-hit region a day after the wives of other leaders participating in the Group of Eight summit (G8) did, reports The Daily Express.

Dressed in a chic white suit, the wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy was greeted with cries of “Bella, Bella”, which means beautiful in Italian.

While an entourage of officials showed Bruni around, she said that the French government would contribute 2.7million pounds to help repair the dome of the Santa Maria du Suffragio church.

It was one of many monuments damaged in the April 6 quake, which killed nearly 300 people. (ANI)

Rihanna shows off her ‘apples’!

London, May 08 (ANI): Barbadian singer Rihanna brought New York to a standstill when she stepped out in an eye-popping outfit for a shopping trip.

The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker flaunted her cleavage in a tiny satin corset underneath a baby pink cardie and teamed it with a pair of white jeans and pink shades.

Later that night, she swapped her sexy corset for a white suit and leopard-print top as she headed out for dinner, reports the Sun.

Meanwhile, Rihanna has landed four nominations for the 2009 Urban Music Awards.

The awards, voted for by fans online, will be handed out on July 17 in New York City. (ANI)
