“I can’t bear not to be in touch so I have the Tannoy turned right up in my dressing room as I like to be one up on everyone else,” Judi, 75, admits speaking on ITV1’s The South Bank Revisited.

“You can hear the audience’s reactions in the auditorium during a performance and you don’t get that on film or TV. I listen to the audience and then you know if you need to hit the accelerator or to push on the brake!” (ANI)

Dame Judi Dench hates complaints about her on-screen swearing

London, September 12 (ANI): Dame Judi Dench has confessed that she hates it when people complain about her swearing in movies.

The veteran actress, who stars as Mona Carvell in new film ‘Rage’, is designated as a British national treasure.

The 74-year-old revealed that she was disturbed earlier when the British Board of Film Classification published its annual report, saying her resorting to abuses onscreen prompts complaints from the public.

“That upset me terribly, because I thought, in a way, that cancelled out the last 52 years,” the Guardian quoted her as saying.

“I thought ‘Does nobody ever believe anything I do? Can’t they for a minute think that I am playing another person, in another world, with another personality?

“Must they write and complain that it came out of my mouth?’ I was very depressed about it,” she added. (ANI)

Taylor first called Jackson the “King of Pop” when she presented him with the Artist of the Decade award in 1989.

She was also one of Jackson’s most ardent defenders, when he was being tried on child-molestation charges in 1995.

Taylor was also a guest of honour when the ‘Thriller’ star gave Liza Minelli away, when the Cabaret star wed David Gest. (ANI)

Is Megan Fox back with ex-fiancé Brian Austin Green?

New York, June 21 (ANI): Megan Fox seems to be back with her ex-fiancé Brian Austin Green.

After returning to L.A. following her European promotional tour for ‘Transformers,’ Fox spent some time catching up with Green.

The pair shared what seemed like a romantic dinner at Gyu-Kaku, a Korean BBQ restaurant, reports the New York Daily News.

However, it looks like Fox wanted to keep the rendezvous under wraps, as she was snapped covering her face from paparazzi.

The actress, meanwhile, is trying to improve the way she behaves in relationships because she fears ending up like veteran actress Elizabeth Taylor, who has been married and divorced seven times. (ANI)

Megan Fox ‘working on herself’ to avoid ending up like Elizabeth Taylor

Washington, June 19 (ANI): Megan Fox is trying to improve the way she behaves in relationships because she fears ending up like veteran actress Elizabeth Taylor, who has been married and divorced seven times.

The ‘Transformers’ star, who recently parted ways with long-time boyfriend and one time fiance Brian Austin Green, insists she needs to take some time to “work on herself” and find out why her romances have been failing – because she fears she will end up like multi-divorced Taylor.

“I’ve sort of isolated myself and forced myself to sit and be quiet. I’ve been reading a lot and listening to music and trying just to work on myself,” Contactmusic quoted Fox as saying.

“I was with someone from the time I was 18, so I’ve never been my own, independent adult. I’ve never been forced to take care of myself. I’ve always had someone doing that for me.

“Right now there’s no space in my head for who’s going to be next or how I need to fill my time. I’m just trying to be comfortable with who I am before I get into another relationship where I’ll just repeat the cycle and I will have 10 failed relationships.

“I will be Elizabeth Taylor by the time I’m 60 and I don’t want to do that,” she added. (ANI)

The documentary, Farrah’s Story, was aired on U.S. station NBC last week .

The channel claims that preliminary figures showed it was the station’s most-watched programme in its Friday night slot in more than a year, reports the Daily Star.

Meanwhile, Fawcett’s partner and actor Ryan O’Neal has revealed that he sometimes wishes that she would not wake up from her sleep.

Fawcett, 62, shows a strong face despite the pain she has been going through, but for her 68-year-old O’Neal the suffering his long-time lover has to go through is just too much to take. (ANI)

Aniston, Jolie could be pals one day, says Debbie Reynolds

Washington, Mar 7 (ANI): Love rivals Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie could become friends one day, at least that’s what veteran actress Debbie Reynolds believes.

Aniston and Jolie are still at war through press interviews, four years after Brad Pitt ended his marriage to the Friends actress and fell for Jolie.

Reynolds admits that the rivalry reminds her of her own conflict when her first husband Eddie Fisher left her for close pal Elizabeth Taylor in 1959.

But both of them have overcome the rivalry to form a firm friendship – and Reynolds insists Aniston and Jolie can too.

“(The split with Fisher) reminds me of what happened with Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Except we were a generation earlier,” Contactmusic quoted Reynolds as saying.

She also urges the pair to become friends – insisting there was nothing Aniston could do to keep Pitt from leaving.

“We (she and Taylor) are friends again. I mean, what can you do? When the man wants to leave he wants to leave,” she added. (ANI)

John Lennon counselled Petula Clark while having ‘bed-in’ with wife

London, February 20 (ANI): John Lennon had counselled then troubled Petula Clark when she needed guidance the most – while having a ‘bed-in’ with his wife Yoko Ono.

The veteran actress revealed that she had turned to Lennon in a desperate bid to seek advice following protests when she performed a bilingual gig in French-speaking Montreal in 1969.

“I was a French star in Canada because I had lived in France. Then Downtown happened in the US, so when I went back to Montreal I thought, how nice, I can do a bilingual show. I was wrong,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

“I didn’t know John but I needed to talk to somebody who wasn’t in my immediate entourage because I felt I was in trouble.

“So I nipped over to where he was having a bed-in with Yoko Ono. There was no security, I just walked in and there they were in bed. John said, ‘Hi Petula!’

“I explained what was going on and asked him what I was supposed to do. He replied: ‘F*** ‘em.’

“I then discovered they were filming Give Peace A Chance in the next room,” she added. (ANI)

Jane Fonda embarks on new ‘celebrity blogger’ career

Washington, Feb 17 (ANI): Veteran actress Jane Fonda is the latest celeb to enter the blog bandwagon.

The 71-year-old Oscar winner began writing online in January this year to help cope with her father’s death and share the ups and downs of her life and her stint in Broadway play 33 Variations.

Fonda is adamant that her brutally honest approach to writing could lead to another major success.

“I’ve never been on anyone’s blog and I’m not a techie (technologically-minded) kind of person. But it was the beginning of the year and I met a tech person in Atlanta who persuaded me to do this, and I thought, ‘Well, I’m about to start this play, and it would be interesting to take people day-by-day through the process after all this time.’ And it turns out I’m really enjoying it a lot,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“I wrote my memoirs and it was a very successful book and I think one of the reasons it was successful is because I was honest.

“I mean, what’s the point if you’re not being honest?

“I want people to understand what this process is like – what it feels like to have this instant feedback from an audience who’s just boiled over by the play. And then of course the comments you get – I’m getting all these incredible comments, which are so fantastic I wish I could publish them,” she added.

Some of the celebrity bloggers are Lindsay Lohan, Aston Kutcher, Britney Spears, Bruce Willis, Jackie Chan, Paris Hilton, etc. ANI)

Helen Mirren’s performances set for show on screen and stage simultaneously

London, January 15 (ANI): Dame Helen Mirren will appear on the movie screen and on stage simultaneously, when the National Theatre launches live performances into UK theatres later this year.

The veteran actress is all set to lead in Phedre, a French classical tragedy that will be the first production to go live on what is to be known as ‘NT Live’.

Nicholas Hytner, artistic director of the National Theatre, confessed to having shortlisted the ‘Queen’ star for her public appeal.

“The reason I said Phedre (would be the first production to go live) is that Helen said ‘Yes’ and I dare anybody to say no,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

Mirren has one Academy Award, four SAG Awards, four BAFTAs, three Golden Globes and four Emmy Awards to her credit. (ANI)
