Twilight stars embroiled in pay dispute

London, May 19 (ANI): Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has landed herself into the alleged pay dispute which threatens to delay the final instalment of the movie franchise, insisting the film”s supporting cast “probably do” deserve a wage increase.

Although lead cast actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are receiving multi-million pound pay cheques stars like Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz are reportedly amidst negotiations for higher pay scales.

There is even talk going around about replacing some of the supporting cast if the negotiations fail.

“Ashley and Kellan have agents, managers, lawyers… you get all of these outside influences telling you you should hold out for this much because you”re such an important part of the franchise,” The Daily Star quoted the director as saying.

“Possibly, Ashley and Kellan might not even be all that involved. They have all the other people telling them things and a lot of stuff can get mishandled. There”s so many possible misunderstandings. It breaks my heart.

“It could turn ugly. Do (these actors) deserve more money? Probably they do, on one level. But, if everybody makes so much money then… it”s complicated. What a mess,” the director added.

The film, ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’, will be shot in two parts, back-to-back starting autumn 2010. (ANI)

Robert Pattinson says he dreaded proposing to Kristen Stewart in Twilight

Melbourne, May 19 (ANI): Robert Pattinson has opened up about how afraid he was of filming the proposal scene in the third Twilight Saga film, Eclipse.

The actor admitted that he was ‘dreading’ the wedding proposal he had to make to his girlfriend Kristen Stewart in a scene in the soon to be released film.

“I was dreading the day it was coming,” he says of the scene that was held until the very end of the shoot,” the Daily Telegraph quoted him as telling told USA Today.

“The first time I read the script, I thought, ”This is impossible,”” he added.

The 24-year-old actor, who plays vampire Edward Cullen, was particularly uncomfortable when his character attempts to woo Bella Swan, played by 20-year-old Stewart.

“It”s so earnest. I finally convinced the producers that you can play it with a bit of awareness of not being a fictional character. I”m not trying to be part of a Gothic novel.”

However, the young actor admitted that he was pleasantly surprised when he saw the final cut.

“It seems different when you see it,” he said. (ANI)

Twilight rep dismisses Pattinson-Stewart feud claims

London, May 14 (ANI): Film bosses have dismissed rumours that Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart were involved in a bitter fight on the set of the next Twilight film.

They insisted that there has been “no row or ill feeling” between the pair, reports The Daily Express.

The rumored real-life couple has been reshooting scenes for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in Vancouver, Canada.

A source told New York Post gossip column Page Six, “Robert turned up later on the set. When Robert arrived, he and Kristen started fighting. She accused him of taking a later flight from London because he had been hanging out too late at a burlesque bar. He didn”t take it well. They were both so angry, the crew had to take a break for an hour for things to simmer down.”

But a Summit Entertainment spokesperson has dismissed the claims.

The rep tells Page Six, “Rob was not late on set, he arrived later because (he) had a different call time than other cast members. There was no row or ill feeling at all. Everything went very well.” (ANI)

London, May 7 (ANI): Twilight actress Kristen Stewart has said that speaking about her relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson would “cheapen” it.

Stewart insists naming her lovers would “cheapen” her relationships, reports the dailyexpress.co.uk.

“I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, ‘Just say who you’re dating.

“Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.’ It’s like, ‘No they won’t!’ They’ll ask for specifics,” she told America’s Elle magazine.

For a long time now, the stunner has been dogged by rumours that she is secretly romancing Pattinson, forcing the pair to continually deny reports they are together. (ANI)

Director of next Twilight flick woos fans through Facebook post

Melbourne, May 3 (ANI): Bill Condon, who will be directing the next movie in The Twilight Saga, has posted an open letter on Facebook in a bid to be accepted by diehard fans of the trilogy.

Twilight’s notoriously obsessive fans were cautious after last week’s announcement that Condon, 54, was to take charge of the hugely popular movie series and he was keen to assure them that he was doing his best.

“I’m pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart,” News.com.au quoted him as writing.

“I’ve read Breaking Dawn twice, rewatched Catherine’s and Chris’s movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine’s notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz’s companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk.

“I realize that this barely qualifies me for “newborn” status in the universe you’ve been living inside for a few years now, but a guy’s gotta start somewhere,” he wrote.

Condon’s movie will be the fourth to be released, and is based on the fourth book in the series, Breaking Dawn.

But Condon’s net note did nothing to quell the controversy over whether the movie based on the final book in the series will be one movie or split into two.

Fanatical fans of the series known as Twihards, maintain the final book needs to become two movies to do it justice.

In the Facebook post, which has had 3000 responses, he seems to refer to two movies.

“I’ve been given a very warm welcome by Stephenie and Team Summit – who are super-focused, as you know, on getting these movies right,” he stated. (ANI)
