Curries in UK ‘contain more salt than Atlantic Ocean’

London, Apr 29 (ANI): Curries are one of Britain’s most popular dishes, but they contain more salt than the Atlantic Ocean.

What’s more, some ready meals, on sale in supermarkets, contain up to three times the recommended daily amount of salt in just one portion.

A research undertaken by Cash, a group that campaigns against high levels of salt in food, found that the worst offender was Iceland”s Chicken Tikka Balti frozen ready meal contained 4.1 grams of salt per 100g.

Policy manager at the British Heart Foundation, Mubeen Bhutta, said: “The level of salt in some of these curries is frankly outrageous, but it’s often tucked away behind unhelpful food labels where it’s difficult to spot. Food manufacturers should give shoppers the whole truth about what they are putting in their baskets.

“We believe that universal front-of pack label, including traffic light colours, the words ‘high’, ‘medium’ and ‘low’ and guideline daily amounts, are key to helping people easily understand what’s in the food and drink they take to the tills.” (ANI)

Now, a butt cam to tell women the real truth about their rears!

Melbourne, August 25 (ANI): Women may have had their prayers answered, for an Australian retailer has come up with the country’s first butt cams.eanswest has introduced the technology that captures image of your backside on your own personal screen in the changeroom.

Women can save themselves the trouble of stepping out into the main store, and reviewing themselves in front lined up lights and mirrors, reports the Daily Telegraph.

CEO Stephen Younane said that the camera was a “way to bring some fitting room fun to the experience of purchasing a pair of jeans.”

But leading retail consultant Stephen Kulmar, of Retail Oasis, expressed doubts about changeroom novelties like the butt cam, suggesting it to be a sales-boosting strategy that also compensated for decreasing numbers of sales staff.

Kulmar said: “For males the changeroom is where the sale is made. Men don’t like going shopping so if you can get them into the changeroom this is where the sale is made. And for women in particular, if they think their behind looks good in something, they’ll buy it.”

He added: “Instead of adding staff, they are re-organising their service.” (ANI)

Ryan O’Neal’s son slams dad over Farrah Fawcett funeral ban

Washington, July 4 (ANI): Ryan O’Neal’s son has slammed his estranged father after being denied permission to attend Farrah Fawcett’s funeral on June 30.

Ryan and his reformed drug-addict son Griffin had strained their relationship following a row that saw Ryan firing a shotgun into the stairwell of the family home.

And that left Griffin seeing red.

Speaking outside the service, Griffin apparently added: “She’s mad I’m not in there.”
