Tiger Woods” ”mistress” Uchitel confesses having affair with David Boreanaz

London, May 14 (ANI): Tiger Woods” alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel has confessed that she is the ”other woman” who almost wrecked David Boreanaz”s marriage.

A lawyer for the nightclub hostess released a statement announcing the confession.

The ‘Angel’ star recently confessed to cheating on his ex-Playboy Playmate wife Jaime Bergman with an unnamed woman, and admitted he was forced to come clean about the affair after his mistress threatened to sell her story to the media.

Online gossips named Uchitel – the woman who sparked the Woods affair scandal – as Boreanaz”s mistress, but she initially refuted the claims.

“I am not in communication with him and do not wish to be. I have made no claims against him and do not plan to assert any,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

However, after a string of angry texts allegedly sent between the pair were leaked online, Uchitel”s lawyer Gloria Allred has revealed that her client did have a relationship with the TV hunk.

She has claimed that the star “treated her as his girlfriend” during their torrid romance.

“(Rachel) understood that he (Boreanaz) was unhappy in his marriage and had been for some time and she had reason to believe that he intended to separate from his wife,” the Daily Express quoted a statement from Allred as saying.

“He treated her as his girlfriend and also took her out in public. He called her between takes when he was taping his television show and put her on the telephone with his friends and his son. He even stayed with Ms. Uchitel when he came to New York for press tours,” added the statement.

And Allred insists her client ended the relationship because “she felt that he had not been completely truthful with her and she no longer trusted him.” (ANI)

Fifth of spouses spy on partner’s emails, texts

Mon, Mar 29 05:17 PM

A fifth of spouses confessed to spying on their partner’s emails or text messages in a new British study.

Researchers from the London School of Economics, the University of Oxford and Nottingham Trent University, quizzed nearly 1,000 UK couples and found that in a fifth of relationships, at least one partner had checked their spouse’s browser history on the computer.

The study, entitled “Netiquette within married couples”, showed eight per cent of men and 14 per cent of women had read their spouses emails, seven per cent of men and 13 per cent of women said they had done the same with text messages, The Telegraph reported.

Lead author Ellen Helsper said: “Our findings showed that there are surprisingly high levels of surveillance. One of the surprising findings was that surveillance was undertaken more often by wives than husbands.

“This contrasts with research that suggests that women are less technologically skilled than men. It seems that they are able to overcome these barriers when they feel their relationship is at stake.””

She added: “It is clear that internet users do not shy from taking action when they think their partner might be undertaking activities that they are not comfortable with.

“Whatever the reason for the monitoring, partner surveillance was wider spread than we initially assumed, with one out of every three couples having at least one partner who monitored the other partner’s behaviour using some kind of technological tool.”

The findings were published in the journal Computers in Human Behavior.

The former ‘Friends’ star has been seen with the luxury watch amid rumours she and Mayer have rekindled their romance “John gave Jennifer the Rolex when they were at the height of their romance in May 2008. Now, a ‘smart house’ that texts you if you’ve left the front door open

London, July 14 (ANI): Think about a “smart house” that automatically turns the lights and cooling systems off and on as per our needs, and even texts us if we have left the front door open.

Well, this could soon be a reality, thanks to University of Hertfordshire researchers’ latest innovation- InterHome.

The researchers have designed a doll’s house on similar lines to test and demonstrate how much greener and secure our homes could be if they incorporated intelligent technologies that adapt to our daily routine.

The house is fitted with a network of infrared sensors connected to a central computer.

Johann Siau, the project’s coordinator, says that the software algorithms work out which rooms we tend to occupy at different times, and, accordingly, learn when we need the lights, heating or air conditioning systems turned on and when we don’t.

His tests have indicated that such technology could cut carbon emissions, and slash energy bills by an estimated 300 pounds per year, on average.

In fact, InterHome could also boost home security-by connecting door and window lock sensors to the computer, it can send a text message to the homeowner if they have forgotten to lock the front door, for instance.

Texting back will lock any doors or windows in question.

The “smart house” was unveiled in Cairo last week at the finals of the Microsoft Imagine Cup – a competition for technologies designed to solve global problems. (ANI)

Washington, May 30 (ANI): A teacher in New York was put behind bars and charged with rape, sexual abuse and child endangerment after she was allegedly caught having sex with a 14-year-old student in the classroom.

It was the student’s mother who tracked the teacher named 27-year-old Melissa Weber down.

“It’s real disconcerting to find that,” CBS News quoted parent and school employee Stacy Gold as saying.

“It’s extremely shocking. This is a teacher that teaches my son,” added Gold, who works at I.S./M.S. 8 with Weber.

It is alleged that Weber took particular interest in the boy, and had had sex with the teen seven times from mid-April to mid-May, all after school.

She allegedly told him: “Don’t tell anyone. I could get arrested and I could lose my teaching license.”

Facebook ‘turning Brits into introverts’

London, May 2 (ANI): Social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace might be a great way of meeting new people, but they are turning British people into introverts, a new survey has found.

In the study led by market research company Mintel, over 50 pct of the adults revealed that they spend more time chatting online than they do actually speaking to friends and family.

The researchers found that people were making fewer phone calls, sending fewer texts and emails, watching less television and spending less time on computer games.

Half of British internet surfers have signed up to at least one social networking site, compared to 27 per cent in France, 33 per cent in Japan, and 40 per cent in the US.

“Britain has undoubtedly become a nation of Facebook addicts,” the Telegraph quoted a Mintel spokesman as saying.

The firm believes that the recession is likely to boost the popularity of social networking sites, as people would use them to stay in touch.

The report revealed that one in five people who use the sites are “constantly checking” for new messages and updates.

Moreover, one in 10 admitted that they had added a person as a “friend” on a site, without ever knowing them in real life. (ANI)
