Pammie portrayed as pair of cojoined twins in art show

London, May 7 (ANI): Hollywood actress Pamela Anderson has been portrayed as a pair of conjoined twins in an art show by British sculptor Marc Quinn.

The glittering barely-clad statue of Anderson, depicting her as a pair of conjoined twins is a one of the many works of art in a new exhibition by Quinn indicating people who have transformed their looks.

Quinn is known for famous creation Alison Lapper Pregnant, which is placed on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square.

“You have got people who have decided to change the outside of their bodies to fit how they feel inside,” Quinn said.

Anderson is depicted in polished bronze as two identical twin figures. The statue dons a bra and thong with tattoos on display, and wearing skyscraper heels, reports The Mirror.

Quinn said of Anderson”s transformation: “Pamela”s done it within the mainstream in a way.”(ANI)

Girl, 3, set to become world’s youngest tattoo artist!

London, April 17 (ANI): A three-year-old girl is set to become the world’s youngest tattoo artist, after her dad taught her how to use a permanent tattoo machine.

Ruby Dickinson has been receiving lessons from her dad Blane after she gets home from nursery, and he says that she is just weeks away from being good enough to ink her favourite design, a spider, on to his right leg.

“It’ll be a proud and very special moment for me and for her,” the Daily Star quoted Blane, who is a tattooist, as saying.

“She really loves it and I’m pleased I can teach her the skills,” he said.

Blane, 36, who runs tattoo studio Inkaholics Anonymous in Penmaenmawr, Conwy, is importing a miniature tattoo machine from the US specially designed for children’s hands.

“I’m under no illusions that she’ll do a Van Gogh – after all, she’s only three,” he said.

“But I’ve got 70percent of my body covered in tattoos already and it’ll only be the size of a 2p piece, so I’m not too worried she’ll make a mess,” he stated.

Ruby is due to take the record from Emilie Darrigade, from Canada, who tattooed part of a butterfly on to her dad’s arm when she was five.

“I’m not a pushy parent but she’s been in a tattooing environment since she was born. It’s a part of her life. She comes to the studio and she gives my customers advice,” Blane said.

“This will set her off on a fantastic career and a tattoo machine is a lot cheaper than university fees,” he added. (ANI)

Peaches Geldof denies ”sex romp while on heroin” claims

London, Mar 27 (ANI): Claim of Irish singer Bob Geldof”s daughter Peaches indulging in a heroin fuelled sex romp has emerged.

Biker Ben Mills, 23, who claims he met up with Peaches, 21, while sharing a house in Los Angeles, posted an explicit set of nude snaps of her to back up his lurid boasts on an Internet message board.

Mills, originally from New Jersey, wrote his account on website Reddit.com which asks readers to reveal their most incredible one-night stands.

Using the name thatcoolguyben, he claimed that he and Peaches were both staying at a mutual girl pal”s place while she recorded her debut album and he waited to fly to Chile.

He said he got talking to Peaches when she arrived home at 2.30am on America”s Thanksgiving Day, November 26.

“She sits next to me and we begin talking about tattoos, which both of us have a good amount of. She had a cute English accent and wasn”t bad looking at all,” the Daily Star quoted him as writing.

“The tattoo discussion leads to us deciding we should get each other”s names tattooed on each other.

“At 3am I grab my friend”s car keys and head out. We drive all over Hollywood looking for a tattoo parlour with no luck.

“While driving around we get on the topic of drugs. At this point in my life I was very into all drugs, as was she.

“She told me she had a bit of heroin she brought with her from the UK and asked me if I was game,” he said.

He went on to claim that he and Peaches, 21, bought needles and other ingredients needed to be able to inject the Class A drug.

“At about 5am I was high as a kite and we started to watch a movie. Things get hot and heavy and before I know it we”re naked,” he revealed.

He said they tried to have sex but he had taken too many drugs so decided to pop a pill to help him perform.

“She laughs as we continue to have a naked dance party on her bed,” he said.

“I finally feel the blood rush and the action begins. We did it every way possible and for a young girl she sure knew how to work it,” he added.

He said they continued to take drugs until 8am at which point she told him someone would come to collect them.

He claimed he woke at 1pm dressed in Speedos and was sitting in a sauna at the Scientology Center in Hollywood where he said they had been taken to detox.

“I”m standing in the room groggy and confused as hell,” he recalled.

“This girl ended up being a hardcore Scientologist and a D-List celebrity, and we were doing a process called Purif.

“I showered, got my clothes on, got her, and drove back to my friends, nodding out and puking the whole way,” he stated.

Later on Thanksgiving Day he flew to Chile, where he now lives.

To summarise his boasts, Mills wrote: “Did heroin, f***ed a minor celebrity, woke up in a Scientology Center, ruined Thanksgiving, left the country.”

When challenged by website users to prove his tale, Mills posted five pictures that he claimed showed the pair of them that night.

In them Peaches reclines on a bed, topless in some shots and completely naked in others.

The claim is said to have left Peaches furious, with her 58-year-old dad, said by pals to be “frantic” and “desperately trying to find out the truth”.

Her lawyers furiously denied his claims, insisting she had not touched anything stronger than booze. In a statement, they said the pictures had been taken for private purposes but refused to deny the fling took place.

“The allegations that our client was carrying and injecting heroin are also denied, our client having consumed alcohol with the other individual leading to the ”highs” described and portrayed in the photographs,” their statement read.

And they added Mills” account was “evidently unreliable”, claiming he would not have been allowed inside the Scientology Center.

But Peaches has previously admitted to following the religion. She was only 11 when her mum Paula Yates accidentally overdosed in 2000, at the age of 41. (ANI)

Missing man now major crime probe

Adelaide police have declared the disappearance of Salisbury East man Craig Leonard a major crime.

The father-of-three, 41, walked out of his home on January 10 and has not been seen since.

Police now think Mr Leonard has met with foul play.

Acting Superintendent Denise Gray hopes the public can help police work out what happened.

“We’re hoping that someone will see his photo and that they’ll provide us information or somebody that has suspiciousness about his disappearance might come forward and can do so anonymously,” she said.

Mr Leonard is 170 centimetres tall, of heavy build, balding with shaved greying blonde hair and has tattoos on both upper arms.

Police say he needs daily medication for serious health problems.

Mr Leonard’s partner said they were now separated and he had been due to move out within days to live with a friend.

She told police she had received several strange telephone calls from a man claiming to be a friend, saying her husband was being taken care of.

Becks censors his Cupid and Psyche tattoo

London, Mar 8 (ANI): David Beckham has revealed his latest tattoo— a Renaissance-inspired body-art of Cupid and Psyche.

The inkwork has been inspired from a painting by 15th century artist Francesco Francia showing god of love Cupid carrying wife Psyche to heaven.

However, the AC Milan ace, 34, has had a veil drawn on her to protect her modesty.

The footballer unveiled the tattoo after his side’s 0-0 draw at rivals Roma over the weekend.

“Perhaps David thought it was a little rude for some of his younger fans,” the Mirror quoted an AC Milan source as saying.

The latest body-art apparently totals Becks’ tattoo- count to 14.

His last one was also based on a painting – British artist Matthew R Brooks’ depiction of a bleeding Christ.

In his memoirs, ‘Both Feet on the Ground’, Beckham said of his tattoos: “They’re about the important people in my life, my wife and sons.” (ANI)

Lindsay Lohan now dating a man?

London, Mar 5 (ANI): After her much-publicised stint as a lesbian, Lindsay Lohan is back into boys- and she”s got a new beau to prove it.

The singer, who had a stormy two-year on-off romance with Samantha Ronson, is dating British DJ Gareth Geno.

The ”Mean Girls” star was recently spotted at Sketch nightclub in central London on Wednesday, and she was all over him.

“I have to move to London. He”s so cute,” the Mirror quoted Lindsay as saying.

And Gareth is not the only bloke to have turned her head.

Earlier in the day, Lindsay bumped into Boy George at the ITV studios after filming Alan Carr”s Chatty Man show.

The pair really hit it off, comparing tattoos and headgear. (ANI)

Kelly Osbourne doesn’t want her nipples facing floor

Washington, Sept 11 (ANI): Kelly Osbourne is conscious about her body and has said she would get a boob job done when they “get saggy”.

Kelly, 24, has decided to stay away from body tattooing, but she will certainly get her breast augmentation done when she ages.

Contactmusic quoted her as saying: “When my boobs get saggy I will have them lifted. I don’t want my nipples facing the floor.

“But I definitely don’t want anymore tattoos. I hate the one I have of a keyboard – I want it gone. I have actually looked into removing it. I don’t even know how to play a piano. I had it done when I was really drunk.”

However Kelly is not in the favour of teenagers going under the knife.

“It bugs me that in Los Angeles, girls as young as 15 have boob jobs and put stuff in their lips. It is so wrong. I like someone with a messed up nose, it means they aren’t just a perfect cardboard cut-out,” she said.

Kelly approves of her mum, Sharon Osbourne’s plastic surgery, while quickly pointing out that she dislikes “sellotape faces”.

She explained: “Plastic surgery works for someone like my mum. It has changed her life. It gave her that last bit of confidence she needed. I think she looks beautiful. But some people do go too far – I hate people with Sellotape faces.” (ANI)

Lady GaGa ‘flattered’ to find fans have tattoos of her

Washington, July 09 (ANI): Lady GaGa has said that she is really flattered to find fans with tattoos of her inked on their bodies.

The ‘Poker-Face’ singer described one such fan, who has her imprinted on his skin.

“This fan got this amazing tattoo on his arm, this massive Lady Gaga tattoo that was very intricate and very detailed and in it I was wearing this crystal outfit – but this thing was like an art piece. I was so flattered because tattoos are for life,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

The singer also believes that she is one of the few stars who has fans ready put themselves through physical pain.

Megan Fox wants her prospective boyfriends to tattoo her name or face

Washington, July 02(ANI): Want to date Megan Fox? Well, then, getting a tattoo of the actress’ name or face on your body is a must.

The actress insists that boys should tattoo her name or face on their bodies if they fancy being her boyfriend.

“I have eight tattoos. All my boyfriends are required to have one and if they don’t have one yet, I make them get a tattoo of my name or my face,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling to TV programme ‘The Early Show’.

The ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ star also revealed that she hardly had any clue what the film was all about and that she does not prefer watching her own films.

She said: “I usually don’t watch things that I do because I’m very neurotic about it and I can’t sit through it. But I had to watch this one because everyone was saying ‘Megan, it’s really good, you have to watch it.’
It’s massive. I don’t know how people can see it on IMAX without having a brain aneurism or at least a migraine headache. I’m in the movie and I read the script and I still don’t know what’s happening so I think if you haven’t read the script and you see it and you understand it you are a genius,” she added. (ANI)

Jolie ‘angry with Fox over Tomb Raider role’

London, June 24 (ANI): Angelina Jolie is said to be furious at Megan Fox after she learnt that the young starlet may play the lead role in the next “Tomb Raider” film.

The prequel will focus on Lara Croft’s younger years. And therefore, the Oscar-winner has been given the boot in favour of the fresh-faced Megan, reports The Sun.

A source said: “Angie was intent on reprising her role. She feels it’s something she helped define and feels robbed that it looks likely to be handed to someone who she considers less capable than her.”

The new movie’s executive producer, Dan Lin, told about.com: “It is an origin story so it is a younger Lara Croft. It will have character-driven action.”

A source added: “Angie isn’t a fan of the Transformers films and believes Megan won’t do the Lara Croft character justice. She’s also annoyed because she thinks Megan copies everything from her, from her tattoos to her style.” (ANI)

Girl with tattooed face admits lying about 56 stars in fear of furious dad

Melbourne, June 23 (ANI): A teenage girl who alleged she fell asleep while getting her face tattooed has confessed she lied and was up the whole time.

Kimberley Vlaminck had claimed she asked for only three stars to be tattooed near her left eye but was shocked to find 56 stars on her face after she woke up.

According to The Telegraph, the 18-year-old and her livid father had gone to the police and had been seeking 9,000 pounds in damages to fit the bill for laser surgery to remove the tattoos.

But the Belgian teen, who accused the Flemish-speaking tattooist for not understanding her French and English instructions, admitted she lied about falling asleep because her father was “furious”.

The newspaper reported Vlaminck owned up she wanted all the stars and was “fully aware” during the time she was getting tattooed.

“I asked for 56 stars and initially adored them. But when my father saw them, he was furious. So I said I fell asleep and that the tattooist had made a mistake,” News.com.au quoted Vlaminck as telling a Dutch TV crew. (ANI)

Barbie’s tattooed makeover leaves parents livid

London, April 30 (ANI): Barbie has been given a makeover to celebrate her 50th birthday and now comes complete with tattoos. But parents are not too happy with the transformation.

Barbie and her brunette version Nikki are now marketed as ‘Totally Stylin’ and they come with 40 tattoo stickers plus temporary ‘tattoos’ for their little owners.

Each doll has a set of sticker tattoos so children can make her look like their heroes such as Jordan, 30, Amy Winehouse, 25, or Cheryl Cole, 25.

The doll has gone on sale in the US for 13.50 pounds, reports the Sun.

However, parents have expressed their concern and accused the makers Mattel of dumbing down.

One parent said: “Whatever will they bring out next? Drug addict Barbie? Alcoholic Barbie?

“Tattoos are common and if it leads girls to get one, they might regret it for the rest of their lives.

“It is dumbing right down – Barbie should be at the high end of fashion not the chav end,” the parent added. (ANI)

Joel Madden hits out at British Airlines after ‘cover-up tattoo’ row

London, Apr 28 (ANI): Good Charlotte star Joel Madden has hit out at British Airlines’ workers after he was banned from boarding a plane until he covered up his tattoos.

Madden, 30, who was preparing to fly from Chicago, Illinois’ O’Hare International Airport to London to film a new music video, was told by the airline’s officials that he had to hide the tattoos on his arms before boarding.
Frustrated and stunned by their actions the singer decided to vent his anger on social networking site Twitter.com.

“Was just told by a british air person I can’t get on the plane till I cover my tatts. Should I fight the power?” the Daily Star quoted him as writing.

“I really actually am in shock, he won’t let me on the plane till I put long sleeves on and another BA rep is disagreeing,” he wrote.

Madden later acknowledged he had given in to the demands – but planned to complain to company bosses over his treatment.

“I still can’t believe Brit Air discriminated me for tatts. Unheard of. the guy was literally disgusted by me. I’m gonna write a letter!!” he said.

“I did end up covering my tats. It’s not my style to cause a scene, I just had a convo with the BA guy, told him how it was discrimination.

“Yes I covered up to board the BA flight. I didn’t want to miss it. And honestly I was embarrassed all the people were staring and laughing!

“It’s not in the rules that I can find. My tatts arent offensive. Looking into it. I havent felt this small since the first time i asked nic (partner Nicole Richie) out,” he added. (ANI)

Medical tattoos may pose health risks

Washington, Apr 22 (ANI): A new study has claimed that there’s a need for doctors to know about medical tattoos-an increasingly popular trend to let others know about one’s medical condition.

One of the most obvious benefits of medical tattooing is for identification purposes in an emergency situation.

And it is especially useful for patients with diabetes, when a patient may be incapacitated-particularly in the case of hypoglycemic coma.

But, the study’s primary author, Saleh Aldasouqi, MD, FACE, has said that it could also pose some health concerns, which the medical community might have to handle.

“Like it or not, tattooing for purposes of medical alerts is a phenomenon that is now occurring,” said Aldasouqi.

He added: “It’s imperative that the medical community take note and that, perhaps, appropriate regulation of the practice be proposed, especially for patients with diabetes.”

And if that happens, Aldasouqi hopes that patients and their doctors could sit down, analyse the risks and benefits, and make an informed decision together.

The study will be presented at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) 18th Annual Meeting and Clinical Congress. (ANI)

Craze for English tattoos increasing among the Chinese

London, April 18 (ANI): While westerners once used to be crazy about having Chinese characters tattooed on their bodies, ink parlours have observed a reversal of the trend off late.

Chinese tattoo makers have revealed that craze about tattoos in English is gradually increasing among their clients.

“Around 30 per cent to 40 per cent of our customers are choosing tattoos in English letters now. This has happened really suddenly, since the beginning of this year,” the Telegraph quoted Zhang Aiping, a tattooist at Tattoo 108 in Shanghai, as saying.

“I just did one a few days ago for a footballer at Shanghai Shenhua club. It said: ‘I miss u forever,’” Aiping added.

Chinese clients are said to be deriving inspiration from footballers like David Beckham and American basketball stars.

The reason why they are get motivated to choose English letters is simple – any foreign language is mysterious and exotic.

“We get 20 to 30 customers a month, and import our paint and needles from Europe,” said Zhu Jian of ‘Tattoo 007′, who charges an average of 100 pounds per tattoo, the equivalent of a factory worker’s monthly salary.

“We get mostly college students, but we have also had doctors, professors and bankers. Tattoos of letters have become very popular since last year, with around three out of ten people going for them. They are simple and graceful. Quite a few just copy the tattoo of their favourite stars, like Beckham or Angelina Jolie,” he added.

Yang Enna, a 22-year-old television producer in Shanghai, said:

“English tattoos are just more special. They are very trendy and they say something about my personality.

She added: “They are much simpler compared to Chinese characters and can hold deep meanings. English letters can be used as acronyms so your privacy is protected and people are curious about what you have written on your arms. If I had tattoos in Chinese, everyone would immediately know what they meant.” (ANI)

David Duchovny, Tea Leoni get matching wedding ring tattoos

Washington, Apr 16 (ANI): Hollywood actors David Duchovny and Tea Leoni have decided to strengthen their love for one another by getting matching wedding ring tattoos.

The two had in October last year announced the end of their 11-year marriage, after Duchovny, 48, underwent a spell in rehab to treat sex addiction.

But it now seems that they have solved their differences, following their vacation together in March on the Caribbean island of Mustique.

“I hate wearing the metal because I bang it everywhere and hurt myself. We made a compromise and I said, ‘If I get a tattoo, can I take the ring off?’ She liked it and went out and got one for herself,” Contactmusic quoted Duchovny as telling Star magazine.

Duchovny, however, has decided to keep mum about what the tattoo means.

“It’s a phrase we say to each other but I don’t actually tell anybody. It’s AYSF. It stands for something,” he added. (ANI)

‘Classy’ Jodie Marsh ‘plays dress up’ in raunchy Playboy shoot

London, April 7 (ANI): Glamour girl Jodie Marsh dropped her layers to pose for a new raunchy Playboy shoot with a classy look.

The 30-year-old added long brunette locks for the photo session with the lad magazine’s website.

But the Brit, who has appeared topless in many tabloid newspapers, said she would rather ditch her new look and flaunt her tattoos on a motorbike.

“I can be classy, I can be a lady and I can be elegant,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

“But I also ride a motorbike and I’m one of the boys and always have been.

“You know I like playing dress up and being somebody else for the day – and then going back to being me, getting back on my Harley and riding off with my tattoos and my shaved head,” she added. (ANI)

Getting tattooed ‘a sign of low self-esteem’

London, Apr 3 (ANI): If you think that a tattoo will get you noticed among your friends and acquaintances, then it’s time to jiggle the thought, for a study has found that the “cool” body art is a sign of low self-esteem.
According to psychologists, the art could conceal a poor personal opinion of oneself.

Marie Randle, from Liverpool Hope University, who carried out the study, said: “Tattooing has become more popular in recent years, especially among young women and there is a growing fascination with the tattoos of celebrities.

“The findings of this study suggest that tattoos are not just fashion accessories but driven by a wide range of motivational factors that are significantly associated with self-esteem.

“This strongly suggests that people consider getting tattooed should be encouraged to question their motivation before deciding to permanently change their appearance.”

To reach the conclusion, researchers quizzed 48 people, some of whom had tattoos covering much of their body, reports The Telegraph.

They found that there were four main reasons why people got tattoos – to be rebellious, to belong to a group, for aesthetic reasons and because of a strong emotional attachment.

However, Randle said that not everyone who had a tattoo had poor self-esteem.

“We found that having tattoos was just one predictor of self-esteem and not everybody who has tattoos has low self-esteem,” the expert said.

The findings were presented at the British Psychological Society annual conference in Brighton. (ANI)
