London, May 11 (ANI): Peter Andre has said that he loves Kerry Katona, but just as a friend.

The singer referred to Katona’s earlier interview in a magazine in which she said he was her “sweetheart” and an “ideal candidate” for a boyfriend.

“Kerry said in an interview last week that I was her ideal man, but that she doesn’t want to burden me too much with her problems,” the Mirror quoted him as telling new! magazine.

He added: “I love Kerry and will always be there for her as a friend, and she is more than welcome to call me whenever she needs to talk. I would never see her as a burden.

“I am so impressed with the way she is turning her life around, as it can’t be easy for her.” (ANI)

New York, April 1 (ANI): Jennifer Aniston has been heavily criticized after her latest film ‘The Bounty Hunter’ bombed at the box office.

The actress’ heavily promoted romantic comedy with Gerard Butler has pulled in just 38.4 million dollars domestically in its first 10 days of release.

The former ‘Friends’ star’s ‘Love Happens,’ another romantic comedy with Aaron Eckhart, grossed 22.9 million dollars in the US – which was still way ahead of ‘Management’ with Steve Zahn, which grossed just 935,000 dollars.

“Aniston just can”t play the good friend anymore. She”s aged out, no matter the yoga and the highlights. She just can”t do America”s sweetheart next door. She needs a big wake-up call,” the New York Post quoted one film critic as saying.

“And as for her taste in men, it”s totally off. John Mayer? Gerard Butler? She”s missing a common-sense gene,” the critic added.

Simon Cowell ‘to gift fiancée a £65K car on b’day ‘

London, March 31 (ANI): Simon Cowell is set to gift his sweetheart Mezhgan Hussainy a 65,000-pound car on her birthday, it has emerged.

The music mogul, 50, and his fiancée, 36, are believed to have spent an hour looking at luxury models at a LA classic car showroom.

Mezhgan seemed particularly enamoured with a 1954 Jaguar XK convertible.

“Money is clearly no object but he”s considering buying her something that little bit special,” the Mirror quoted an insider, as saying.

The source added: “He”s obviously a big fan of cars but Mish is too.

Donald Trump tags Jesse James as “cunning”

New York, March 20 (ANI): Donald Trump has branded Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James “cunning” after he cheated on the actress.

James had starred in the last season of Trump’s show ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’

“He was a quiet guy, but as the show progressed, you realized that he was very smart and very cunning. He didn”t get along with the people on the show, but I sort of got to like him, at least as much as such a sullen personality can be liked . . .” the New York Post quoted Trump as saying.

Hilary Swank says there was no ‘spark’ when she first met beau John Campisi

Washington, Sep 8 (ANI): Hilary Swank has said that there was no initial “spark” between her and new beau John Campisi because both of them were nursing a broken heart at the time, and their romance was completely “unexpected”.

Hilary was in the process of divorcing Chad Lowe when she started working with John in May 2006.

“There was no spark. What’s interesting is, there was never anything. It wasn’t until we were well into the dissipation of our respective relationships. Going through something so difficult at the same time, we became very good friends. We became closer and closer,” Contactmusic quoted Swank as telling Britain’s Hello! Magazine.

“It was so unexpected. We both recognised that if we were going to take the relationship to the next step, we could no longer work together,” she added.

While the 35-year-old star has no intention of marrying John, 41, in the near future, she hopes to start a family with him one day.

She even enjoys spending time with his son Sam, from a previous relationship.

“Sam’s a sweetheart. I most definitely want children. It’s something I’d like to do someday. And when the timing is right I’ll hopefully know it,” she said. (ANI)

The video of the track ‘Beautiful Heartache,’ is apparently melodramatic, showing the singer playing a grand piano while she sings each word through full and puckered lips, the New York Daily News reports.

Two dancers command a ballroom floor with a powerful tango as the backdrop.

The captivating 4 minutes and 28 seconds video shot by the actor continues with the piano lights on fire while his sweetheart keeps playing.

Eventually she’s pulled from the flames to join the tango.

The affair between Mel and Oksana became public after it was announced that the singer was pregnant with his child six weeks after his wife Robyn filed for divorce. (ANI)

Brit couple’s secret to 81yr marriage – regular rows!

London, May 27 (ANI): Frank and Anita Milford, aged 101 and 100 respectively, celebrated their 81st wedding anniversary yesterday. And, in case, you’re wondering what’s keeping their marriage alive, well the answer is pretty ‘mundane’ – regular rows!

The couple, who became man and wife in 1928, met at a YMCA dance in Plymouth, where they still live.

As for what’s keeping them stay so strong – they say that they still have daily squabbles.

“Not big rows, just the odd cross word. As far as I’m concerned, it’s healthy,” The Times quoted Anita, as saying.

However, as well as a little argument, “a little romance” is also essential.

“It’s our golden rule,” Mrs Milford said.
Couples these days don’t last long because they often don’t take enough time for each other. There isn’t enough respect – love is about give and take. Our advice to young couples would be to make time for a little romance every day,” she added.

Frank, a retired dockyard worker, said: “To win over your sweetheart you need a dose of old-fashioned chivalry and don’t let your standards slip.”

Their son, Frank Jnr, 74, said: “They spend most of their time together, with Dad almost completely deaf and blind, so it’s difficult for him. Mum is a chatterbox and nothing has changed there.” (ANI)

‘Great Bingle-bungle’ makes Lara Bingle miss Miss Bikini World Australia

Melbourne, May 26 (ANI): Lara Bingle, fiancee of Australian cricket vice-captain Michael Clarke, won’t be going to Darwin this week to judge the Miss Bikini World Australia grand final at Discovery Nightclub, because of “great Bingle-bungle.”

Bingle had been advertised to appear at the nightclub to judge the competition on Friday but it looks like Discovery confused the famous Aussie model with less-well-known water-skiier and model Lauryn Eagle.

Posters promoting the event feature a line saying: ‘exclusive appearance by Aussie Sweetheart Lara Bingle’ beneath a picture of Eagle.

Bingle’s management said that the model had never even been booked for the event.

“I can tell you right now, it isn’t happening. It’s definitely not true and it’s never been true,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Bingle’s spokesman David Croft as telling the Northern Territory news. (ANI)

Washington, May 7 (ANI): Joe Jonas is so head over heels in love with sweetheart Camilla Belle that he’s looking for a love-nest for the couple to escape to.

The 19-year-old, who shares a Hollywood pad with his Jonas Brothers bandmates Kevin and Nick, is desperate for more privacy and therefore, is looking for a pad in Los Angeles, according to reports.

A pal tells Star magazine, “(The Jonas Brothers’ home is) too crowded and inconvenient for Camilla. They’re looking for somewhere that’s super-private.”

However, Joe may face opposition from his family, reports Contactmusic.

The source added: “His parents are against the idea of Joe getting a condo for himself, though. They want the boys to do everything together.”

Windsor Castle romper’s ex-fiancée furious with his public sex act

London, May 2 (ANI): Windsor Castle romper Phil Carden’s ex- fiancée has stated that she is furious with him for his public sex act.

Lucy Meredith, who is Carden’s childhood sweetheart, was further infuriated when she received a text message from him pledging his love for her just three days after he was caught with his pants down with another woman.

“Why are you trying to make out I’m seeing someone else? Are you trying to hurt me? I love you and always will,” the Sun quoted the text as saying.

Meredith, 29, a children’s nurse, had been due to marry Carden on December 5 and had already splashed out 5,000 pounds on her big day, but she now does not want to have anything to do with him.

“He makes me sick to the core,” she said.

“What the hell was he thinking of? I never want to see him again.

“I was so wrapped up in the wedding I fooled myself into thinking things were ok.

“He would turn off his phone for long periods, he wouldn’t ring or text me.

“He would make excuses for staying an extra night and then barely look at me when he got back,” she revealed.

Meredith called off their engagement on April 17, and when the sex romp story first appeared she had found it funny, though she later was hurt by it.

“When I first saw the story I chuckled and wondered what sort of sex-crazed idiot would get caught with his trousers down on the Queen’s lawn?” she said.

“Well now I have my answer – the man I loved and was supposed to be marrying.

“I could hardly believe it’s the same person because Phil was never very adventurous in bed.

“But I took a copy of the article to show his mum. She had a face like thunder,” she said.

Meredith has left the couple’s three-bedroom home in Cheshire and moved in with her mother Wendy.

“I’m a hard-working nurse and I’m really proud of what I do,” she said.

“If that’s not good enough for Phil, he’s welcome to chase after as many businesswomen as he likes.

“I just wish he wouldn’t be so public about it,” she added. (ANI)

New York, Apr 29 (ANI): When it comes to burying the hatchet, Anne Hathaway is a complete sweetheart.

Last week ‘The Princess Diaries’ star showed up to support Natalie Portman’s new venture- the behind-the-scenes entertainment industry Web site MakingOf.com- at Tribeca’s Marble House.

It is believed that Portman was first considered for the role in Judy Garland’s biopic ‘Get Happy’, which finally went to Hathaway, thus sowing the seeds of an alleged rift between the two beauties.

“There’s buzz in Hollywood that Natalie should have gotten the part [in the Judy Garland biopic "Get Happy"] that Anne landed,” The New York Daily News quoted an industry insider as saying.

“Anne wanted to pay her respects and make sure there was no bad blood,” said the source.

Cowell tells Boyle ‘get yourself together’ after makeover

London, Apr 25 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has told the show’s star Susan Boyle to “get herself together” if she wants to win the competition.

Cowell, 49, who is apparently fed up with stories about 47-year-old Boyle’s unkempt hair, bushy eyebrows and pet cats, urged her to concentrate on winning the television talent competition rather than on the attention surrounding her.

“She has got four weeks to prepare for the biggest night of her life, and she has got to sing better than she sang before with all those expectations on her,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

“But it could all go horribly wrong for her because there are so many other distractions.

“Get yourself together sweetheart for the big one – the semi-final. Shut the door, choose the right song and come back as who you are, not who you want to be,” he added. (ANI)

Back-up dancer Chase Benz’s mum livid over link-up with Britney

London, Apr 17 (ANI): Pop star Britney Spears, who has been in the news for her growing fondness for her back-up dancer Chase Benz, has left the latter’s mother fuming.

Chase Benz’s mother Diane insists that he is already engaged.

According to reports, Benz girlfriend Tessa Campbell is also infuriated over the alleged linkup between him and Britney.

“Chase has already got a girlfriend. Her name is Tessa Campbell and she is a fantastic girl. Chase comes back to Tennessee whenever he can to see her,” the Mirror quoted Diane as saying.

“They’ve been going out for three years – she’s the same age and they are great together. She’s so sweet,” she added.

Britney, who has a history of dating her back-up dancers, is said to have been dating Benz for three weeks.

“Britney was all over Chase from the word go. He was determined to keep things professional but Britney has been making it difficult by being extremely suggestive. Chase has been dating Tessa, his childhood sweetheart, for over three years and she is livid about the reports… as is Chase’s mum. Diane has ordered him to stay away from Britney and made it clear she’s not welcome in the family home,” a source said.

Britney’s former husband and father of her two kids, Kevin Federline, was also once her backup dancer. (ANI)

Whoopi Goldberg ‘just can’t commit’

London, Apr 6 (ANI): American actress Whoopi Goldberg has revealed that she loves to get married, but her fascination dies after the ceremony.

The 56-year-old actress admits that she “just can’t commit”.

In an interview to TV host Jonathon Ross, Goldberg said that though she would happily tie the knot again, her fascination with marriage ends straight after the nuptials.

“I like the party. Everybody’s very, very happy when they’re getting married. Everybody’s cheerful, they wish you luck – everybody’s really supportive,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

“My issue comes the next morning, when you go, ‘Wow, forever – really forever?’ And I just can’t commit,” she added.

The Ghost star has been married thrice. She first walked down the aisle at the age of 18, wedding childhood sweetheart Alvin Martin.

After her split from Martin, she went on to marry David Claessen, who she divorced in 1988.

Angie Harmon defends Bristol Palin’s pregnancy

Washington, Apr 2 (ANI): American fashion model Angie Harmon has defended Bristol Palin’s decision to have a child out of wedlock in an interview.

Harmon, 36, who had recently been in the news for venting out her frustration at being called a “racist”, also praised the Republicans for being more understanding.

“I think one of the greatest things about the Republican Party is the understanding, we don’t point fingers and we have class,” Fox News quoted her as saying.

“Lets keep in mind here, how old is she, 17? I don’t care what anybody says, this person is still a young person and okay she’s got a big situation on her hands but for anyone to sit there and make fun of her or judge her is just cruel and wrong.

“She is and in a position that any girl could be in: is this guy marrying me because he loves me and wants to be with me? To be in my life and our child’s life? This is a big deal; we’re getting married at 17! Nowadays, those don’t last.

“So if everyone could just get off her and let her live her life and do it in a way that she thinks is best, I’m all for it. I really am. She has my support 100 percent, she’s a sweetheart.

J. K. Rowling, Britney, and Becks’ London roots revealed

London, March 27 (ANI): Renowned ‘Harry Potter’ author J. K. Rowling, pop princess Britney Spears, and ace footballer David Beckham may check out their family trees on the Internet within seconds, for their ancestors have been found in London records.

A register from All Saints church in Mile End New Town, east London, a 19-year-old blacksmith named William Rowling married his sweetheart Frances Andrews on December 8, 1872.

Publicly available records show that William and Frances had seven children, including a son called Frank, born a decade after their marriage.

According to the Telegraph, Frank Rowling’s son Ernest, born in 1916, in turn had a son called Peter in 1945, who is J. K. Rowling’s father.

As regards Britney’s family tree, a 1923 register from St John’s Church in Tottenham, north London, shows the marriage of her great grandfather George Portell, a Royal Naval seaman, to 25-year-old Lillian Lewis.

The newspaper also reports that David Beckham’s great-great-great grandparents John Beckham and Sarah Chandler appear on an 1868 marriage register from St Stephen’s church in Southwark. (ANI)

‘We are the new Wayne and Coleen’!

London, Feb.28 (ANI): A footie wonderkid hailed as the “new Rooney” has found his “Coleen” in the sizzling shape of Hollyoaks babe Melissa Reeves.

And at 16, the beauty has become the Premier League’s youngest WAG, the Daily Star said.

Everton ace Jack Rodwell, 17, is set for stardom after wowing fans with his goal and all-round performance to help knock Aston Villa out of the FA Cup.

Pundits have compared the teenager to England hero Wayne, 23, who made his debut for Everton at 16 before moving to Manchester United.

And midfielder Jack is not just copying Wayne’s on-the-pitch heroics.

Like the United star, who married Coleen, 22, after meeting her on the streets of Liverpool where they grew up, Jack is reportedly smitten with his Scouse sweetheart Melissa.

The pair was pictured together for the first time earlier this week leaving the posh Gusto restaurant in Liverpool’s Albert Dock.

Pals have dubbed them the “new Rooneys” because their relationship mirrors Wayne and Coleen’s so closely.

Both couples met before any of them were famous. Jack and Wayne were both rising stars at Everton, while Melissa and Coleen were wannabe actresses.

While Wayne scored his first professional goal for the club five days before his 17th birthday, Jack did it aged just 17.

Jack has captained England Under 16s and is rated one of the hottest properties in the game, Wayne has gone on to win two Premier League titles and the Champions League after his 25 million pound switch to United.

A close pal of Melissa and Jack said last night: “They know their relationship is almost a mirror image of Wayne and Coleen’s. The similarities are staggering and they get a bit of stick from their pals. (ANI)
