Having sex is good for heart – even after a heart attack

Washington, May 22 (ANI): Most heart attack survivors avoid sex because they fear it will trigger another attack. But a new study suggests that sex is good for the heart — even after a heart attack.

Researchers say that it is a myth that sex is a dangerous activity for heart patients.

“The likelihood of dying during sexual intercourse, even among people who have had a heart attack, is really small,” Live Science quoted lead author Dr. Stacy Lindau of the University of Chicago, as stating.

Researchers reported at the American Heart Association”s Forum on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke that many people pointlessly become prudes after surviving a heart attack. A third of men and 60 percent of women abstained the year after a heart attack.

In films, mind-blowing sex often becomes heart-stopping sex. But in real life, there is little need for such worries.

Most doctors consider sex safe once the patient is feeling up for moderate exercise.

After all, “sexual activity is a moderate physical activity,” said senior author Dr. John Spertus of the University of Missouri in Kansas City.

In the study of 1,760 acute heart attack patients, less than half received information regarding sex. Women, in particular, were unlikely to receive advice on when, or if, to resume sex.

This lack of communication carried over to the bedroom. Men were 1.3 times and women 1.4 times more likely to report a diminished sex life if they hadn”t been offered advice on the subject from their doctors.

Spertus suggested that doctors, patients and their loved ones should proactively bring up questions about sex.

“The goal is to restore people”s total health. Not only by minimizing the risk of the next heart attack but also by maximizing quality of life,” Spertus said. (ANI)

Animals’ sex-life inspires Nicolas Cage to eat their meat!

London, May 19 (ANI): Nicolas Cage has revealed that he will only eat meat from those animals that have a ‘dignified’ way of having sex.

The Hollywood star, 46, says he won”t touch pork because he doesn’t like the way pigs romp.

Instead, he scoffs poultry and fish because he finds their love lives more tasteful.

“I love all animals. I have a fascination with fish, birds, whales – sentient life – insects, reptiles. I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex,” the Sun quoted Wacky Cage, who won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas, as saying.

“I think fish are very dignified with sex. So are birds.

“But pigs, not so much. So I don”t eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl,” he added. (ANI)

Study shows ‘female Viagra’ works

Washington, May 19 (ANI): A pill called Flibanserin can boost sex drive in women. It”s being called ‘female Viagra.’

A new paper from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists reports that after a 6-month treatment with the pill, women found improvement in their decreased sexual desire.

The FDA has not yet approved the drug, which was originally meant to be an anti depressant.

A survey conducted by a drug manufacturer, amongst 1,378 women who were suffering from a lack of sexual desire, revealed that the drug improved sex drive by 18 per cent, after a usage of 24 weeks.

Another study notched this number to four weeks.

Unlike the Viagra used by men, which increases bloody supply, this pill may affect a female”s mind and the neurotransmitters in the central nervous system, with minor side effects like dizziness, nausea, fatigue and insomnia.

For now Ashton suggests couples therapy and consulting a sexual therapist for these problems.

“You want to get at the root problem,” CBS News quoted her as saying.

“If it”s something like depression or a medication side-effect, deal with those things and hopefully you”ll see an improvement in your sex life.” (ANI)

Over 60 percent Chinese couples are happy with their marriage

New Delhi, May 16 (ANI): Over 60 percent of couples in China enjoy a blissful marital life, a survey has revealed.

The survey was conducted by the All-China Women”s Federation and covered 9,645 couples in 10 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China from October last year to April.

About 62.4 percent of the respondents said that they were happy with their marriage, and “loved and respected each other.”

About 64.5 percent of surveyed Chinese couples said they were “satisfied” or “very much satisfied” with their sex life.

The survey found a direct correlation between level of education of both partners and conjugal bliss. Only 7.5 percent of husbands and wives, who never went to school, felt very much satisfied with their sex life. The ratio increased to 28.6 percent among those with a degree of bachelor or higher.

According to the survey, about 70.2 percent of the surveyed couples were happy and very happy in their life. The happiness was strongly related to the couples” perception of their economic status, the survey report said.

The survey also found Chinese couples considered loyalty as the most important virtue in maintaining a good marriage. About 69.4 percent of the surveyed couples said the least tolerable mistake was having extramarital affairs, Xinhua news agency reports. (ANI)

Six steps to a happy sex life

London, Apr 30 (ANI): Feeling shy to make that first move in the bedroom? Well, here are six sex tips to get you all raring to go and sweep your man off his feet.

1. Bag Some Bedroom Magic with Before-Play

No surprise that women blame a lack of romance for a lack of sex! Time to nurture “before-play” between you—if you”ve had a row, or are stressed after work, let him know you need some cuddles and affection.

Don”t expect him to be a mind reader – men aren”t good at that. Ask him for a compliment, too. Men respond to straight talking so tell him that feeling appreciated and loved-up gets you in the mood for proper foreplay, reports The Sun.

Having before-play creates the right mood to get turned on. So include things like always having mood music ready to play, and candles to light your supper – even if it”s a takeaway!

2. Get Steamy!

Time to turn up the heat. Why not suggest having a candlelit bath or sexy shower together. Subtle candlelight flatters your figure! Take time lathering each other up with some sexy-scented shower gel. Have a couple warm towels ready to dry each other off before you tumble into bed.

When you indulge each other in steamy little pleasures it”ll give you loads of ideas for more sensual tricks to tempt each other into bed. You could offer to wash his hair and caress his scalp gently. Show him a light touch and then ask him to return the favour.

Once you”re out of the shower dare him to paint your fingernails. As he strokes each of your fingers gently it produces the love hormone oxytocin in your bodies.

3. Get Rude with Food!

It”s crucial to make sex as easy-as-can-be when you”re a busy/tired couple. So grab opportunities like getting a bit rude with food together. It”s super sexy to hand-feed each other little tidbits or to spoon something delicious like chocolate mousse into each other”s mouths.

Or why not have a rude-food feast in bed on a Saturday afternoon? Who says you have to eat at the table! This is the perfect setting for drizzling some sweet honey down your cleavage for him to lick off – forget about putting it on toast!

4. Letting Him Know What You Want

Believe me he wants to know what turns you on! If you”re feeling a bit shy then show him rather than tell him what to do. Take his hand and guide it gently around your pleasure-zones. Pause where it feels fab saying, “I love it when you touch me here.”

Also when he happens to touch you just right “big him up” – men love praise so heap it on him and he”ll do more of that feel-good foreplay.

If he”s a bit heavy-handed (true of so many men!) use this trick— take his finger and gently suck and lick it – then tell him that”s the sort of pressure you love.

And definitely use a warm and sensual voice to encourage him. Crikey, even just hearing your little sex-sighs will make him all ears! So use those little sighs and moans to communicate your pleasure.

5. How To Find Out What He Wants!

He might be a bit shy to tell you what he likes. So ask, ask and ask again! A good way to ask is to give him some options. Say something like, “do you prefer it when I stroke or squeeze you here, and more gently or firmly?” This”ll give him the confidence to be honest.

If he needs extra encouragement tell him you find it exciting being told what to do. Turn this into a playful sex-game where he”s the boss and you”re his sexy PA and he”s going to dictate to you what he wants done!

6. Your Private Pleasure Pack

Definitely make your sex-life simpler by keeping a little “pleasure pack” in your bedside table. Then when the mood strikes you”ll be ready for some frolics with your fella.

No annoying searching about for things like your favourite lubricant, condoms, sex toys, blind fold for a kinky sex game, sexy stockings and silky knickers, tissues, massage oils, etc. (ANI)

Billie Piper’s hubby moans about ‘boring’ sex life

London, Apr 24 (ANI): Billie Piper might be a sex goddess in ‘Secret Diary Of A Call Girl’, but her husband has said that their sex life is “boring” as compared to scenes in her raunchy TV series.

The sexy actress banned actor hubby Laurence Fox from watching her as high-class escort girl Belle du Jour in the series.

However, the 32-year-old, who stars in police drama ‘Lewis’ tuned in when he grew suspicious she was enjoying filming antics such as bondage, threesomes and sploshing – when lovers cover each other in food.

“Billie didn”t want me to watch it. But I started thinking to myself, ”Why is she always saying all this and why am I not watching it?” the Sun quoted him as saying.

“Is there something bad here? Are you enjoying yourself, Bill?” So I watched it and I was really impressed. We never think of sploshing in our private time. We”re actually boring like that,” he added. (ANI)

Baseball coach claims he slept with Larry King”s wife

New York, April 21 (ANI): Hector Penate, a former Little League coach to the sons of Larry King, claims to have had a fling with the CNN star”s estranged wife Shawn Southwick.

He added that King didn”t seem to care much about the affair since he was having an affair with Southwick”s sister, Shannon Engemann.

“I still think to this day that Larry is in love with Shawn”s sister,” the New York Post quoted Penate, as telling In Touch mag.

Penate, 31, says he and Southwick, 50, started having sex two-and-a-half weeks after they met in 2007, when he was the baseball coach for the pair”s sons, Chance, 11, and Cannon, 9.

He said: “We had sex in Larry”s bed — a lot.

“I had sex with Shawn while Larry was on TV. Our sex life was real good.”

According to Penate, Southwick wanted to get pregnant with his child.

He said: “She was trying to fertilize her eggs to do that.”

Penate claims Southwick showered him with gifts, including a BMW 7 Series, and even paid his rent.

Moreover, Southwick asked King to co-sign the lease for Penate”s Studio City, Calif., apartment, says Penate.

Penate said: “She controlled him.

“He just sat there and signed it.”

Penate says King didn”t mind his affair with Southwick as the telly host was romancing her sister, Engemann, 45.

Penate said: “He told me one time, ”Have you ever seen Shannon?” After I said that I had never met her, he said, ”Oh, oh — she”s really gorgeous!” ”

However, Southwick has earlier rubbished all reports of an affair with Penate, and Engemann has denied having an affair with King.

King”s rep has kept mum over the issue. (ANI)

Women crave sex nearly as often as men

Wellington, April 19 (ANI): An Australian survey has revealed that women crave sex nearly as often as men do.

The online survey on almost 10,000 Australian men and women, aged between 25 and 45, asked about what they thought of sex.

And the results showed that when it comes to love, lust and good old-fashioned romance, the genders aren”t that different.

The study found that almost 33 percent of women want sex every day, compared with 40 percent of men, though in reality 25 percent of women have sex only once a week while one in five get lucky just once a month.

Olivia Nicolson, 25, an events manager, and Chris Grady, 25, a forensic officer with NSW Police, have been together for four years and have a very healthy sex life – engaging in sex three to four times a week – with both of them initiating it.

“We”re both pretty similar in what we want,” Suff.co.nz quoted Grady as saying.

“I probably want it a little more than Olivia, but on the whole we just really enjoy being with each other,” he said.

Nicolson said she often wanted sex every day if she was not tired.

“When I”m not tired from work I would say that I would want it almost every day,” she said.

More than two-thirds of both sexes said they would be open to watching porn or engaging in sexy role-play games in order to spice things up.

“We don”t need to mix it up all that often. But we have watched some porn and I sometimes dress up in lingerie,” Nicolson revealed.

A romantic dinner was favoured by a third of both sexes but according to 61.8 percent of men and 52.4 percent of women, there is nothing quite like a cosy night in to ignite passion.

Dancing is the unanimous winner for both sexes when it comes to activities most likely to turn us on, with 65.9 percent of women and 50 percent of men preferring it to outdoor pursuits and pub-based pastimes such as pool.

As for sex itself, the survey showed rushed foreplay was named as the biggest issue for 37.8 percent of women while 35 percent of men complained women never initiate sex.

More than half of both sexes said the one thing they really wanted, above all else, was to be seduced more often.

Sex therapist and clinical psychologist Janet Hall said sex was often reduced to soulless hook-ups.

“The attitude towards sex is now about the outcome, rather than the journey,” Dr Hall said.

“People aren”t making love now, they”re just having sex.

“Girls are not telling the guys what they want and as a result the whole art of seduction is just not there any more,” she added.

The findings are published in April 20 Men”s Health and Women”s Health magazines. (ANI)

Alistair Darling denies he’s too ‘knackered’ to enjoy sex life with wife

London, Mar 31 (ANI): Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling has denied that he is too “knackered” to enjoy a satisfying sex life with his wife.

Darling, 56, was asked by Piers Morgan for GQ magazine whether it was possible to have a good sex life and be a member of the Cabinet, reports the Telegraph.

“I don’t know,” the Chancellor replied.

He went on to deny he was too “knackered” (to tired) to enjoy a satisfying sex life with his wife, Margaret, by whom he has two children.

“There are some things a gentleman doesn’t talk about,” he repeatedly told Morgan.

Morgan also asked him if he ever fantasised about an attractive woman approaching him in a bar.

“You have to be realistic. Who the hell is going to come up and speak to me in a bar?” he stated.

And if he were ever to receive a letter from a woman saying that she was attracted to him, he added he would “assume it was some sort of hoax”. (ANI)

Prostate cancer op ruins Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sex life

London, March 16 (ANI): Music composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed that his sex drive has been affected after prostate cancer treatment.

The 61-year-old ‘Love Never Dies’ composer, who has been married thrice, underwent a surgery to fight the disease.

“Sex drive does take a while to come back but, frankly, I’ve had five children so in my case it’s probably not a bad idea,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling Radio Times.

Webber worries if will ever get his sex drive back, but he insists that his wife Madeleine Gurdon and children are more important to him at present.

He added: “I don’t really know. The most important thing is my children have a father and my wife has a husband. In a way it’s Madeleine I’m more worried about than me.” (ANI)

Cheryl Cole considering permanent move to LA?

London, Mar 15 (ANI): Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole is said to have spent Mother’s Day planning her future with her mother.

Cheryl’s love cheat husband Ashley blamed Joan Tweedy, 49, as the one who caused the marriage to crumble, after the singer decided to move her in with them.

The footie ace, who has never seen eye-to-eye with his mother-in-law, blames her for wrecking his and 26-year-old Cheryl’s sex life which in turn he says led to him playing away.

“With mum-in-law around, he knows that he doesn’t stand a chance,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

It was Joan who showed him the door on her daughter’s behalf on March 12 just 40 minutes after he returned from a three-week spell in a French sports injury clinic.

And Cheryl, who is recovering from bronchitis, spent March 14 with her mum discussing a permanent move to Los Angeles where Simon Cowell, 50, has offered her the chance to be a judge on American X Factor.

Ashley, 29, who is staying with a pal, knows he faces a real battle to win back his wife while her mum is bending her ear.

“He’s very down. He expected to at least talk with Cheryl when he returned from France. But it didn’t happen. Her mum took control and supervised him while he collected his stuff,” a club insider said.

“Ashley suspects Joan is not exactly his No 1 fan at the moment. And the thought of the pair of them holed up on Mother’s Day must have really hit him.

“Ashley wants to say his piece to Cheryl one-to-one with no external influence,’’ the insider added. (ANI)

Women of greater genetic diversity have more sex partners

Sydney, Mar 5 (ANI): Women of greater genetic diversity have more sexual partners, concludes a new study.

After showing a series of genes linked to the immune system, Western Australia researchers say it can be explained why some women are more sexually successful than others.

The genes are thought to make them more attractive to potential partners.

According to professor Leigh Simmons, of the University of Western Australia, having a diverse set of genes was beneficial because it meant a person had more defenses against invading germs.

Such genetic ””success”” was thought to influence mate choice, the expert claimed.

When searching for a mate, on the subconscious level, people are seeking out someone with different genes from their own to create offspring with a lot of genetic diversity, said Professor Simmons.

He said that a specific group of genes called the major histocompatibility complex (MHC), a driver of the immune system, had previously been shown to influence mate choice, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.

To test if this genetic diversity affected the number of sexual partners a person had, the research team assessed the genetic variability of 74 females and had them fill in a questionnaire about their sex life.

After removing the bias associated with age and sexual attitudes, Professor Simmons found those women who had more genetic diversity in their MHC complex reported more sexual partners over their lifetime.

The number of partners was predicted by genetic variability, said Professor Simmons.

The study has been published in the journal of Animal Behaviour. (ANI)

Top white lie to shun sex: I’m too tired

London, Sept 16 (ANI): The humble headache has had its day as far as excuses to avoid sex are concerned, for now the reigning white lie to snub a romp is ‘I’m too tired’, says a new survey.

“I’ve got a headache” has lost its lustre and fallen to number three in the list behind “I’m not in the mood”.

Other white lies to make the top five included “I’ve got to get up early in the morning” and “I’m pre-occupied with work”.he conclusion was made after studying 4,000 adults.

The not-so-kinky research also revealed that one in five Brits regularly make excuses to avoid having sex.

Seven out of 10 said they were often too exhausted to enjoy sex. And four out of 10 said the recession had played havoc with their sex life, the study found, reports The Telegraph.

A spokesman for www.OnePoll.com, which carried out the study, said: “The humble headache has had its day as far as excuses are concerned.

“Tiredness plays a much bigger part in our reasons not to climb between the sheets these days and enjoy some quality time together.

“And its hardly surprising when we are all working longer hours than ever before and have so many things to worry about.

“Fears over whether will be able to pay our mortgages or even whether we will have a job in a month’s time are bound to affect our bedroom performance.

“It was intriguing to see just how the recession has affected our passion levels too.”

The report also found men are more likely to make excuses than women with 27 per cent admitting they often avoided sex compared to 18 per cent of women.

Top Ten Sex Excuses

1. Too tired

2. I’m not in the mood

3. I’ve got a headache

4. I’ve got to get up in the morning

5. I’m pre-occupied with work

6. I’m angry with you

7. I can hear one of the children

8. You need a shower

Berlusconi’s daughter jumps to his defence over sex scandal

London, Sept 13 (ANI): Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi’s daughter Marina, who is ranked the 10th most powerful businesswoman in the world by Fortune magazine, has come to her father’s defence, saying he has been “stabbed in the back” by months of revelations about his sex life.

The 43-year-old came to his defence after Giampaolo Tarantini, a businessman under investigation for alleged drug and prostitution offences, told prosecutors in Bari, southern Italy, that he had supplied 31 women for the prime minister’s parties between last September and January, reports The Times.

Berlusconi, however, denied having ever paid anyone for sex, but admitted Tarantini had brought “beautiful women” to his parties.

Marina, who heads the Fininvest financial holding group and the Mondadori publishing house, denounced “attempts to stab him in the back. But luckily my father has good reflexes”.

“Berlusconi, like everyone else, is free to have a private life and to react forcefully to accusations which aren’t accusations but shameful slander,” Marina told the newspaper Corriere della Sera.

In May, Berlusconi’s estranged wife, Veronica Lario, had announced that she wanted a divorce from the premier after accusing him of being “not well” and obsessed with young women.

She was apparently furious over his attendance at the 18th birthday party of an aspiring lingerie model, Noemi Letizia.

Later an escort, Patrizia D’Addario, claimed that she and another prostitute had sexual intercourse with the prime minister at his official residence in Rome following a private party. (ANI)

Surreal, sex-obsessed world of not so “big” Russell Brand revealed

London, Aug 29 (ANI): A model has revealed that British comedian Russell Brand lures women by posting Tweets and has a pretty adventurous sex life.

The television presenter apparently loves threesome and offered Brooke Adams free tickets for MTV Music awards to sleep with her via Twitter.

Some of his posts inviting her to townhouse in Hampstead, north London read: “Where do you live? Near London? And can you bring a friend?”

While another went: “Confirm your friend, darling, as I am in the mood for adventure,” reports the Sun.

Brooke narrated the events leading to the sex act with the comedian.

She said: “I got a cab to his house and the security guard opened the gates and let me in.

“Russell poked his head round the door – and when he opened it I realised he was totally naked.

“He took me through to the kitchen and offered me a drink – although he has no alcohol in the house.

“Then he asked me to perform a sex act on him – I’d had a few to drink and had always fancied him, so I did it.

“He was very complimentary, even though he was eating a plum at the time!”

However, Brand had another girl in his house at the same time and wanted to have threesome.

She added: “He took me up to his room and there was another girl – a blonde girl – already there sitting on the bed.

“I had no idea another girl would be there – I was quite surprised.

“But I think she was more shocked than me – she didn’t seem happy about it at all. He asked us if we would have a threesome and although I was up for it, she refused.

“He declared we were not allowed to leave until he had had been satisfied at least three times, so he just took it in turns with us. While he was with her, I just sat on the end of the bed, waiting.

“He was very good in bed – not as “big” as I was expecting but he still knew exactly what to do and had a lot of stamina.

“Afterwards I just got a cab home and he said he would be in touch.”

Brooke says that she spent a similar night with Russell one more time. (ANI)

‘Watching Alex Reid go head-to-head with another man turns on Jordan’

London, Aug 28 (ANI): Katie Price a.k.a. Jordan has revealed that she loves the true beast ‘hidden’ inside her boyfriend cage fighter Alex Reid.

The glamour model – who began dating Reid last month following her split from Peter Andre – is looking forward to seeing her new lover fight another man as she finds it “sexy”, reports the Daily Star.

Katie told a friend: “I just can’t wait to see him in action – it’s going to be so sexy. I have already seen him in training and that’s pretty hot. Watching Alex going head-to-head with another man is going to be incredible.

“He’s so different from my ex, Pete was very cuddly but he’s not really much of an animal! Alex has a true beast hidden inside.”

The mother-of-three – also known as Jordan – and Alex are enjoying an “adventurous” sex life.

A pal said: “Apart from the fact that Alex is all muscles, he is so highly sexed and adventurous that he’s taken Jordan to another planet.”

“She lusts after his body, but now she’s licking her lips at the chance of seeing him prove what a man he is by displaying his power and masculinity in the ring.” (ANI)

Katie Price shocks passengers with ‘dirty sex’ denial on flight to Spain

Washington, Aug 26 (ANI): Former glamour model Katie Price, a.k.a. Jordan, reportedly shocked fellow passengers on a flight to Spain when she insisted that she did not have “dirty sex” with her cage fighter boyfriend Alex Reid.

The 31-year-old disgusted plane passengers by shouting about her sex life during a flight, after she became livid about reports that she and her beau favoured unsavoury bedroom antics, and decided to set the record straight.

“She was shouting that she and Alex would never be into dirty sex and that they aren’t into bondage,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.

“She said, ‘Do we look like those kind of people?’ She was a disgrace. She kept shouting her mouth off – saying, ‘My man would never do that!’” the source said.

Jordan, who has three children with Andre, was flying with Reid to Malaga, Spain, with a budget airline when the incident took place.

Her noisy denials even embarrassed Reid, who unsuccessfully tried to calm her down.

“She was raging in front of her kids too. Alex was mortified and kept telling her to stop shouting about their private issues,” the source told thisislondon.co.uk.

“She was saying he was such a considerate man and not the filthbag he was being portrayed as.

“Everyone on the plane was staring at her as she let rip about his sex life. Alex looked totally humiliated and kept telling her to stop shouting.

“She tried to show a united front by being all over Alex but there was a lot of tension. He looked really uncomfortable as she draped herself all over him,” the source added. (ANI)
