Brit female soldier ‘Combat Barbie’ advertises Armed Forces lingerie deal

London, September 7 (ANI): A British female soldier has been selected to promote a lingerie chain’s discount offer to members of the Armed Forces.

Katrina Hodge, nicknamed “Combat Barbie” by her Royal Anglian Regiment colleagues, is helping to promote La Senza’s offer of a 15 per cent off to servicemen and women.

“I am enjoying the attention and profile but my job is still as an army soldier. I love the army life and if this encourages more women to join up then that would be brilliant,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying.

“I’m so proud of this campaign and I really hope that it encourages other high street stores to offer discounts to men and women in the armed forces,” she added.

Hodge, 22, came second in this year’s Miss England contest, and served in Iraq, where she was recognised for her bravery. (ANI)

Bruce Willis’ brother-in-law works as binman in London

London, Mar 29 (ANI): American actor Bruce Willis’ brother-in-law has been revealed to be a binman in a London suburb.

Martin Heming, 42, who became the 54-year-old actor’s brother-in-law after Willis married lingerie model Emma Heming, 30, last weekend, is delighted for his sister, who is the face and body of underwear company La Senza.

“I just think ‘Good for them’,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

“I don’t live a glamorous life. I’m a binman and I certainly don’t earn anything like as much as Bruce Willis. I drive commercial waste around in a lorry.

“As long as she’s happy that is the main thing,” he said.

Although he has not spoken to his sister for a year, Martin is hoping to meet up with her and Willis soon.

“I am just waiting for an invite,” he added.

He admitted his life is “far from Hollywood”, with a binman’s average salary being around 20,000 pounds to 30,000 pounds a year, and that he was not jealous of his sister and enjoyed working for London-based Grunden Waste Management. (ANI)

Danielle Bux’s less-than-glamorous cosmetic secret – braces!

London, January 11 (ANI): Model Danielle Bux has admitted that she was deliberately keeping herself from “smiling properly” – to hide her braces.

The ‘La Senza’ lingerie model, who recently returned from a romantic trip with retired football striker-fianc‚ Gary Lineker in Dubai, confessed that she was trying to keep the cameras from snapping her in the transparent tooth aligners.

“I’m wearing one of those weird Invisaline braces. I know it’s transparent but you can still see it up close – and I don’t want the cameras to pick it up,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

“That’s why I’m not smiling properly. I’ll be accused of looking moody and behaving like a diva or something, but it’s not that at all!”

“I’m still getting used to them, but I think it’ll be worth it in the end,” she added. (ANI)
