London, May 6 (ANI): A rare vintage Bugatti supercar is said to have smashed sale records and become the most valuable car ever to be sold after it was bought by a museum for around 30million pounds.
The Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California, snapped up the 1936 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic from the family of late car collector Dr Peter D Williamson.
A source close to the deal revealed the astronomical sum handed over for the car, which makes it the priciest motor ever to have changed hands.
Brokers Gooding & Company, based in Santa Monica, California, had auctioned off the Bugatti, which is considered to be a French Deco design classic.
“I am extremely pleased to have found the new buyer for the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, one of the world’s most significant and valuable automobiles that has been in a private collection and rarely seen during the past four decades,” the Sun quoted David Gooding, president and founder of Gooding & Company as saying.
“It has been a great pleasure to work with the Williamson Family and Trust in this important endeavour,” he added.
Gooding declined to confirm the identity of the buyer or price. (ANI)
Gisele Bundchen sparks pregnancy rumours
London, May 6 (ANI): Newlywed Gisele Bundchen has sparked pregnancy rumours after she was photographed leaving an obstetrician’s office with hubby Tom Brady.
The supermodel and the American football star visited a Manhattan-based OB/GYN on May 4, just three months after they exchanged vows in a Catholic ceremony in Santa Monica, California.
The couple later celebrated their union with a larger ceremony and wedding reception in Costa Rica.
“We have no comment on our clients’ personal lives,” The Daily Star quoted a spokesperson for Bundchen as telling the New York Post.
The Victoria’s Secret model and Brady began dating after his 2006 split from actress Bridget Moynahan, with whom he shares a 17-month-old son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan. (ANI)
