Suspended IPL chief replies to corruption charges, CRI

MUMBAI, India (AP) Suspended Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi’s official response to the corruption allegations against him was delivered in six large boxes to the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Modi’s lawyer delivered the thousands of pages of documents late Saturday, meeting a deadline which had been extended by five days.

Modi followed it up with a confident posting on Twitter. “It’s best to allow my colleagues time to go thru my reply,” Modi said in a tweet late Saturday.

“We spent weeks putting it,” together. The BCCI is investigating Modi over his involvement in the initial bids for the Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab at the inaugural IPL auctions in 2008, in a broadcast deal and in the awarding of two new IPL franchises last month.

Modi was the powerbroker in establishing the lucrative IPL and then turning it into a multi-billion dollar enterprise, which has led to an explosion of interest in the shortest form of international cricket. Modi’s lawyer Mehmood S. Abdi declined to elaborate on the contents of the six cartons delivered to BCCI Chief Administrator Ratnakar Shetty, but told reporters he was confident that the charges against Modi would be dropped.

“The charges were based on allegations and gossip. BCCI can never prove it.

We are confident that all the charges against Modi will be dropped,” Abdi said. He added: “The reply has been written in simple prose and BCCI president Shashank Manohar, who himself is a lawyer, will need only a few hours to go through it.

” Shetty did not comment on the documents or what the next step in the proceedings was likely to be, saying only that “there is a procedure in the BCCI and the president will follow that.” Modi was initially supposed to answer the corruption allegations by May 10, but was given additional time to reply after he asked the board for additional documents.

Modi has been barred from participating in the operation of the IPL, the BCCI or any of its committees. A vice president of the BCCI, Modi has said his running of the IPL was completely transparent and denied any corruption.

An investigation led by Shetty into IPL records had already shown “a lot of documents missing,” BCCI president Manohar said last month.

New Brit Govt. to ask Queen to take ‘at least’ five percent pay cut

London, May 16 (ANI): David Cameron led coalition government is expected to ask the Queen to take a pay cut from the 7.9 million pounds-a-year Civil List payment the royal family receives from taxpayers money.

The royal family had been expecting an increase when the current 10-year agreement comes to an end this year.

But senior figures in the new coalition government have warned that the royals will be advised to follow the Cabinet’s lead and accept a reduction of “at least” five percent, the Daily Star reports.

Downing Street advisers fear increases in royal spending could cause a backlash.

“The round of government cuts that are on their way are so deep, so severe, that there won’t be a single family in Britain who won’t be feeling the pinch.

“There couldn’t be a worse time for the richest family in the country to go to the taxpayer with a begging bowl,” the paper quoted an adviser, as saying.

The Queen will also be urged to make a round of royal redundancies, with low-ranking family members like the Duke of Kent and the Duchess of Gloucester being “sacked” from front-rank royal duties, losing their grace and homes.

Experts say it costs more than 40 million pounds a year to keep the royals running, plus 50 million pounds for police and security, the Daily Star reports. (ANI)

IPL franchises to support Lalit Modi

Mumbai, Apr 21 (ANI): Most of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises continue to support IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi despite the controversies surrounding him.

Royal Challengers Bangalore owner Vijay Mallya and Rajasthan Royals co-owner Shilpa Shetty have openly supported Modi.

Shilpa Shetty said the IPL is Modi’s brainchild.

“I support Lalit as someone who has been part of IPL. It is Lalit”s brainchild. Because of Lalit, IPL happened,” Shetty said.

“If there is something murky happening behind the scenes, I am unaware about it, and in that case, let the law take its own course. However, people should not jump to conclusions. Till you are not proven guilty, you are not guilty,” she added.

Shetty further said that Modi should be credited for his effort to make IPL a global event.

“We must not forget that it was Lalit who made IPL successful in the overseas market. We must give him that credit. It is all because of his efforts that the IPL has become successful across the world,” she said.

Shetty’s statement comes in the wake of recent media reports of an income tax department probe revealing Modi’s silent stake in three IPL teams – the Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab.

Shetty claimed that her team has all legal documents.

“I don”t understand what is happening. Every day, new things are coming out. As far as our (Rajasthan Royal) papers are concerned, we have all legal documents. About the remaining teams, I have no idea. I don”t know who is involved and from where has the money come,” Shetty said.

“As an Indian, I think we all should be proud of IPL. It has generated not just a lot of revenue, but also pride in the sporting space and created job opportunities. IPL has been good in a lot of ways,” she added.

The IPL franchise owners are reportedly, not too keen on the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar taking over as the league”s commissioner.

Owners believe that Manohar may not be the right choice for the post of IPL Commissioner, as matters need to be conducted professionally in the league. (ANI)

ED files case against IPL teams for FEMA violation

Mumbai, Apr 21 (ANI): The Enforcement Department (ED) has filed a report against all eight Indian Premier League (IPL) teams for violation of key sections of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

The ED is probing the investment of foreign money in the IPL.

The report was filed under the Section Three of the FEMA.

Earlier, Jaipur IPL Cricket Private Ltd, the owner of Rajasthan Royals, resubmitted a proposal before the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB), the key body responsible for foreign investments, to issue a 32.41 percent stake to Mohan Badale.

In October 2009, its application was rejected by the FIPB.

Meanwhile, the Income Tax (IT) Department is conducting a search at the offices of Sony’s Multi Screen Media (MSM) and te World Sports Group (WSG).

On Tuesday, a section of the media reported that the both MSM and WSG had paid 80 million dollars as‘‘ facilitation fee.”(ANI)

Australian documentary on Thai royals sparks outrage

Thailand has protested to the Australian government over the airing of a documentary critical of the Thai royal family and warned that the broadcast could affect ties between the nations.

A senior representative from the Thai embassy met with officials from Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs yesterday to express his concern at the programme aired by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).

“The concern is that it might affect the good relations between Thailand and Australia, especially the people to people relations,” Saksee Phromyothi,minister-counsellor at the Royal Thai Embassy, told AFP.

“We consider this an issue matter of national security… because the royal family, the monarchy, in our constitution is above politics.”

Thailand’s ambassador designate Kriangsak Kittichaisaree has also written to ABC managing director Mark Scott to complain about the programme which could breach Thailand’s lese-majeste laws which prohibit criticism of the royals.

“I regret that an organisation of the ABC’s stature has lowered its own standard by airing the said documentary which is presented in a manner no different from tabloid journalism,” he wrote.

The programme, which aired late Tuesday, was broadcast on the state-funded station only in Australia and cannot be viewed over the Internet outside the country.

Warne bowls Royals to two-run win

Shane Warne bowled his Rajasthan Royals to a two-run win over Adam Gilchrist’s Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League match at Nagpur on Monday.

Warne took 4 for 21 from his four overs and the Chargers were all out for 157 with just one ball to spare, Nagpur-born Rohit Sharma the last man out for 73 off 44 balls.

Gilchrist made 34 off 17 and Andrew Symonds contributed 15.

Earlier, Shane Watson starred with the bat for the home side with 58 off 36 balls.

The Royals were dismissed for 159, also one ball short of the scheduled 20 overs.’

Sehwag blitzes Warne’s Royals

Big-hitting India opener Virender Sehwag has blasted Delhi Daredevils to a comfortable six-wicket win over Shane Warne’s Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League in Ahmedabad overnight.

Sehwag hammered 75 off just 34 balls as the Daredevils easily chased down the Royals’ under-par total of 6 for 141, finishing with a score of 4 for 142 with 17 balls to spare.

Warne’s side, which won the competition in 2008, was restricted by some tight bowling from the Daredevils, with Abhishek Jhunjhunwala top scoring with 54 off 45 balls.

Australia’s Dirk Nannes was once again impressive and grabbed 1 for 27 off his four overs for the Daredevils.

The Royals’ total never looked big enough with Sehwag at the crease, as the Indian superstar clubbed five sixes and eight fours in his entertaining knock.

Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait endured a difficult evening for the Royals, bowling four wides as he finished with figures of 0 for 28.

Warne took the wicket of South Africa’s AB De Villiers, to peg back the Daredveils, before Dinesh Karthik (23 not out) and Mithun Manhas (11 not out) guided their side to an emphatic victory.

On Tuesday night (AEDT), Bangalore hosts Punjab and Kolkota plays Matthew Hayden’s Chennai Super Kings in Kolkota.

Racial attacks: Shane Warne mingles with Indians to allay fears

MELBOURNE: Australian spin legend Shane Warne on Tuesday stepped in to mend his country’s fractured ties with India, attending a picnic here with the Indian community, which has been targetted in a series of violent attacks in the past few months.

Warne met the community members of Victoria state, talked to them, posed for photographs and tried to allay fears of the students, saying Australia is a “great” place to live in.

“I think the state sells itself, it’s just such a great state, it’s a great city to live in. I’ll keep pushing the message across over there, I love India, I love Rajasthan when I play cricket there, so to me it was a natural thing,” Warne said.

“I want to listen, really, to hear what the students have to say and see what these guys, how they’re feeling about things,” said Warne, who is quite popular among the Indian diaspora here.

Victorian government had asked the iconic cricketer to help them boost the state’s image in India after recent attacks on Indian students in Melbourne tarnished its reputation.

The leg-spinner, also dined with the Indian students on the occasion and told the crowd: “It’s important for me as a Victorian… to keep building the relationship with India and Australia, and in particular Victoria.”

Warne will leave for India on Thursday to lead the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League commencing March 12.

Meanwhile, Victoria Premier John Brumby, who was also present at the picnic, hoped Warne’s presence in India for the IPL would help improve Australia’s image.

“Shane’s been great in the support that he’s given the State just over the last year, particularly in relation to the bushfires, and where the sort of support that he can provide is so important in lifting spirits and giving people hope for the future,” Brumby said.

“We need to bear in mind all the great things about our state and we are a very warm, open, welcoming state. We love sport, we’re very multicultural, we’ve got nearly half of our population born overseas and with one of their parents born overseas, and we’ve got a good story to tell about all of us, about the great multicultural society that is Victoria, so we just need to get a bit of balance back into this debate,” Brumby added.

‘Prince Charles had three lovers when he and Diana were married’

London, Sept 20 (ANI): In one of her missing letters to the Queen Mother Princess Diana claimed that Prince Charles had three lovers while they were married.

Diana, who died in a car crash in 1997, named Camilla, Aussie Lady Dale Tryon – known as Kanga – and another high society squeeze in the sensational note, reports The Daily Star.

A source close to the royals said: “Diana was in a lot of pain at the time and wanted to damage Charles.

“She knew he was close to his grandmother and wanted to lash out to hurt him.

“She thought that if someone he really respected knew her claims, they might be able to make him change.”

The letter is understood to be one of dozens from Diana to the Queen Mother which were later incinerated by Princess Margaret to protect her mother’s memory. (ANI)

Shilpa Shetty offers prayers to Lord Ganesha

Mumbai, Aug 30 (ANI): Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty offered prayers to Lord Ganesha at a makeshift temple here.

Shetty’s beau Raj Kundra, the London-based Indian millionaire, accompanied her.

Responding to the rumours that she will be marrying Kundra later this autumn, she said in a lighter vein that every one would be invited in advance.

“The day I get married I’ll send invitations to all of you (the media persons) and invite you. I will give you a months notice,” she said.

The couple formed a successful business partnership, which includes a 10 million pounds stake in the Rajasthan Royals Twenty20 cricket team and a recently acquired food company.

The 34-year-old actress had become a household name in the United Kingdom after she won the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2007.

The show sparked a huge outcry in Britain and India after housemates made racist comments against her, forcing Channel 4 to apologize.

Soon after her win she had got engaged to the jewellery tycoon. (ANI)

Salman Khan ‘interested’ in buying new IPL team

Mumbai, Aug. 26 (ANI): Salman Khan is reportedly in talks to a stake in the Indian Premier League.

The actor on Wednesday met IPL chairman Lalit Modi here to understand the bidding process.

“Yes, Salman came to see me with the possibility of buying an IPL team. We were just exploring the possibility of what the process would be. And he has been interested for quite a while. He is interested in a new team. He talked to me in the past. I think he is a serious buyer,” Modi said.

Two new IPL teams are to be introduced in 2011. Early reports say Khan is interested in bidding for the Nagpur or Kochi team.

Last year, the average bid was 150 million dollars per team, so Salman will need a serious amount of cash.

Bidding for the new teams will take place in January. The big IPL players will also be back on the market next year.

Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta are the other star owners of IPL teams.

Shah Rukh Khan owns Kolkata Knight Riders, a team that has been at the bottom of the table in both the IPL seasons. The team is co-owned by Juhi Chawla.

Shilpa Shetty took over as co-owner of the Rajasthan Royals in the second season. Preity Zinta was seen cheering her team Kings XI Punjab through both the seasons. (ANI)

Queen to spend nine million pounds on private jet

London, July 9 (ANI): The Queen is splashing out on a new private jet and helicopter.

The Sikorsky chopper – for the Royal Family’s official business – will be leased for 500,000 pounds a year.

Her Majesty plans to buy a nine million pound jet by March next year.

It is the first time in her 57-year reign that the Queen will have her own aircraft.

According to her aides, the Queen’s decision will actually save the taxpayer money.

Until now senior members of the family have had to share planes from 32 Squadron RAF with senior politicians and military top brass.

And the royals have often ended up having to charter expensive flights for official trips.

Last year the royals clocked up 501 flying hours in helicopters, 380 in the Queen’s Sikorsky S76, which is being replaced.

According to The Sun, the Department for Transport approved the acquisition of a private jet last year. (ANI)

Warne, ex-wife ignite rumors of a renewed love match

London, July 7 (ANI): Former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne and his ex-wife Simone Callahan stepped out together at the Wimbledon men’s final on Sunday, igniting rumors of a renewed love match.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Warne and Simone looked a happy couple in the grandstands at the royal box end.

They spent a relaxed afternoon in each other’s company. However some habits die hard, with Warne spotted texting on his mobile phone as he stood in front of Callahan.

Warne was in London for a Twenty20 match with his Rajasthan Royals Indian Premier League team at Lord’s – a match promoted as his last game at the famous venue.

Warne flew into the UK from Las Vegas, where he has been competing in the World Series of Poker event as part of his new part-time poker career.

The spin king took Callahan and the pair’s three children to Vegas with him. But they had not been spotted together until yesterday at Wimbledon, where Roger Federer beat Andy Roddick to win a record 15th grand slam title.

The pair missed the historic moment, slipping out of Centre Court at the start of the fifth set. (ANI)

Eco-friendly ‘Green Tomato Cars’ for the Queen to cut costs

London, July 6 (ANI): Following the global slow down and economic crisis, the Queen is determined to switch from the LPG-fuelled black cab to an environmentally friendly car service, to save money.

The Queen’s staff at the Buckingham Palace has signed up with Toyota’s ‘Green Tomato Cars’ to cut costs, after they found out about the car from Prince Charles’s London office, which switched to its cheaper carbon-efficient Toyota Prius fleet, the Daily Express reports.

“They were very conscious of the savings they’d be making both in financial and carbon terms. Cost was certainly a major factor, so much so in fact that Clarence House negotiated a discount,” said Tom Pakenham, Director of Toyota.

“Prince Charles was one of our first customers and his staff have been using us since we launched in 2006. Now we are the first choice for both Clarence House and Buckingham Palace,” he added.

According to the company, Green Tomato Cars’ petrol and electric hybrids average about 56 miles to the gallon compared to 36mpg for a black cab, making them the cheaper of the lot for more than 75 per cent of journeys.

“We have raised the subject of the royals themselves using our cars, not just their staff, but security and speed are problems we would need to overcome first,” Pakenham said.

Following reports of the Queen running out of funds by 2012, the switch to eco-cars is among many decisions taken by the Queen to cut costs. (ANI)

How Royals blew Brit taxpayers’ money

London, Jun 30 (ANI): Brit taxpayers had to dole out 250,000 pounds for a makeover of Princess Beatrice’s university digs, stated a bill revealed by the Queen on June 29.

The fund was used to redecorate a private four-bed apartment at St James’s Palace for Beatrice, 20, who started her history of art degree at Goldsmiths University, London, last September.

The annual report into Royal finances revealed the money was spent on rewiring the rooms, plus installing a new kitchen, two new bathrooms and a wood floor in two reception rooms.

Graham Smith, from the campaign group Republic, has branded the huge cost a “scandal”.

“This puts the rows about MPs’ expenses and duck houses in perspective. This bill eclipses any put in by MPs in their expenses,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

“The level of scrutiny being given to MPs expenses should apply to Royal spending,” he said.

The TaxPayers’ Alliance has also condemned the St James Palace expenditure.

“It’s staggering,” campaign manager Susie Squire said.

“Many taxpayers will find this unjustifiable, not least because Beatrice does not carry out official engagements,” she stated.

But a senior Royal aide has defended the 256,000-pound bill, saying the age of the property meant high restoration costs.

“The apartment had been used by a member of household staff,” he said.

“It’s a normal apartment which was on our list for improvements for some time.

“It co-coincided with the Princess going to university in London and it was therefore appropriate for her to occupy it,” he added. (ANI)

IPL franchises eager to field Pakistan players again after ICC T20 win

Lahore, June 23 (ANI): With Pakistan pocketing the ICC World Twenty20 Championship, speculations are rife that Pakistani players would once again feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Several IPL franchises, who had signed Pakistani players for their respective teams, are hoping that the players would return for the third season of the IPL in 2010, after heightened tension between India and Pakistan in the wake of the Mumbai terror attack, forced the players to sit out of the cricket extravaganza this year.

One of the players, Sohail Tanvir, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, could don the navy blue jersey once again, when his side takes on Middlesex at Lord’s in a one-off game scheduled to be held on July 6.

The Rajasthan Royals co-owner, Manoj Badale said Tanvir’s participation in the match is ‘subject to his availability’.

The match which is being organized by the British Asian Trust, would be held two days before the first Ashes Test starts.

Pakistan would also begin its tour of Sri Lanka on July 4, but that would not affect Tanvir’s outing with the Royals, as he is not a part of the Test team.

However, another Rajasthan Royals Pakistani player, Kamran Akmal, would not be available for the Lord’s encounter, as he will be on national duty.

The IPL chairman Lalit Modi has also made it clear that the league has ‘no problem’ letting Pakistan players play in the next edition in March 2010.

Modi, however, noted that it is for the governments of the two countries to decide to let the players play.

While the IPL franchises had signed 11 Pakistani players in the league’s first season, contracts of only four players were retained in the second season. (ANI)

‘I just stick to my game plan’, says Proteas star De Villiers

Cape Town, May 20 (ANI): Proteas and Delhi Daredevils batsman A B de Villiers might look like a possessed sage in full flight, but he pins his success on sticking to his game plan.

De Villiers, speaking after yet another brilliant knock against the Rajastan Royals on Sunday night, said that it was about giving himself a chance to settle at the crease before he attempted to dominate a bowling attack.

“I think I have been following the same game plan for the last two years now.

Whether I play tests, ODIs or Twenty20 cricket I give myself a chance to get my eye in and get used to the conditions and always try to get through the first 20 balls, and from there on, I try to express myself,” said De Villiers at the press conference in Johannesburg.

According to Sports 24, De Villiers has scored 405 runs at an average of 67.50 and a strike rate of 135.45 per hundred balls in the IPL thus far, and trails only the currently indomitable Matthew Hayden (546 runs) in the runs table.

Together with Tillakaratne Dilshan, who is seventh on the list with 329 runs, De Villiers has been crucial to the Daredevil cause, especially with Gautum Gambhir and Virender Sehwag experiencing indifferent form.

Darren Berry, director of coaching with the Rajastan Royals, had only praise for De Villiers.

“Not only is he a great talent, but also he is a great thinking cricketer as well. In the heat of a Twenty20 battle that is exactly what you need. I think we were given an exhibition innings,” said Berry. (ANI)

Rajasthan Royals to bring IPL League road show to Lord’s

London, May 20 (ANI): Rajasthan Royals will bring the Indian Premier League road show to Lord’s on July 6 before they face Middlesex in a charity Twenty20 match.

Shane Warne will lead the 2008 IPL champions in what could be his last outing at the home of cricket.

England star Dimi Mascarenhas may also feature due to his links with the Rajasthan Royals.

Middlesex chief executive Vinny Codrington said: “After the disappointment of not being able to play the Champions League last year, it’s fantastic that the 2008 Twenty20 champions of England and India can play such a match.”

“The fact that the game will benefit such a worthy charity, the British Asians Trust, is a tremendous bonus,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.

“This is a great opportunity for the Rajasthan Royals to expand our fan base in the UK, and to showcase the great international talent in the team,” Royals chairman Manoj Badale said. (ANI)

Snubbed Tait looking at other options

Adelaide (Australia), May 16 (ANI): Though fast bowler Shaun Tait, 26, has not given up hope of playing for Australia again, his frustration at Cricket Australia for preventing him from playing in the Indian Premier League for fitness reasons and for dumping him from its contract list, has made him think of other options.

Tait will head to England in the coming weeks and ponder over a future in private Twenty20 leagues around the world.

According to The Age, his long-term plans are most intriguing and illustrate how dramatically the cricket landscape, and his own priorities, have changed since he spearheaded Australia’s World Cup win two years ago.

Tait will have more freedom to take part in the global Twenty20 explosion without a Cricket Australia contract. His only obligation is to the Rajasthan Royals, with whom he has a contract for next season worth about 500,000 dollars. He is also eyeing opportunities in the UK, where an England Premier League will be launched next year and, closer to home, where CA is planning a Southern Premier League with South Africa and New Zealand from 2010-11.

“You’ve got to wait and see how it all pans out, but to be involved in a couple of franchises playing Twenty20 cricket would suit me pretty well,” Tait said last night.

He wants to keep playing for South Australia and be eligible for Australian selection, so has no immediate plans to use an English passport and qualify for England. But he has not ruled it out in the longer term.

“I wouldn’t not consider it, put it that way. I wouldn’t do that now, but there are some options in cricket around the world now. It’s all a bit up in the air. It’s no secret I’m trying to concentrate on the shorter form of the game and it probably frees me up a bit more to do that. The good thing about it is I can make my own decisions. I am still, hopefully, going to be contracted to the (South Australian Cricket Association) here … but I can explore some other options in the shorter forms of the game,” Tait said.

“But it’s not the end of the world. It gives me a bit of freedom to explore other options. I’m lucky enough to have things like the IPL going for me. The other thing is I can still play for Australia. I have always enjoyed playing for Australia and I want to play for Australia again, but there are other options as well.”

Tait’s demanding action has restricted him to three Tests in four years, and he supported West Indies captain Chris Gayle, who said this week he would not be sad if Test cricket gave way to Twenty20.

“It’s a pretty big call coming from a Test captain … but I think he is probably spot-on,” Tait said. (ANI)

Angry and rejected ex-Oz pace bowler Tait says may take a trip to Greece

Adelaide (Australia), May 15 (ANI): An irate former Australian pace bowler Shaun Tait lashed out at Cricket Australia on Friday for ruining his Indian Premier League dream and then denying him a national contract which he labelled a “kick in the teeth”.

In an explosive media session in Adelaide, Tait criticized national chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch for “sugar coating” his contract snub and threatened to take a trip to Greek Islands rather than pursue futile preparation for Australia’s one-day series against England in September.

Tait believes he was fit enough to play for Shane Warne’s Rajasthan Royals after recovering from a four-month fight against hamstring tendonitis and could have fronted for Australia’s World Twenty20 campaign.

However CA physio Alex Kountouris and doctor Trefor James ruled Tait was not fit enough to play in the IPL – costing the super slinger 500,000 dollars.

“I am pretty ready to go. If I was to play cricket tomorrow I could wheel myself out. To not let you go, not pick you in a squad then not give you a contract is a bit of a kick in the teeth. I can take a breath, and it gives me some options to explore other options in the cricket world,” the Courier Mail quoted Tait, as saying.

A disheartened Tait said that he would pursue county cricket in England, but was not optimistic about a one-day recall against England in September.

“It is pretty for Cricket Australia to say get ready for a tournament when they haven’t given you a contract. I can quite easily duck off to the Greek Islands if I want to but I will keep myself bowling, fit and something comes up that would be good,” Tait said. (ANI)
