The Oscar winner was exiting the Wyndham theatre, where she is starring in new play Madame De Sade, when she tripped over a stage door and got hurt.

The Casino Royale star has been forced to temporarily pull out of a new London play.

She is now nursing an injured ankle and has been ordered to rest.

However, she is determined to be getting back at work next week.

“As Judi Dench was leaving the theatre, she tripped at the stage door and fell. She was taken to Accident and Emergency, where she was diagnosed with a severely sprained ankle,” Contactmusic quoted Dench’s spokesperson as saying.

Daniel Craig jokes he will struggle to portray Noel Gallagher in film

London, January 8 (ANI): James Bond actor Daniel Craig says that it will be a bit hard for him to fulfil Noel Gallagher’s wishes to portray him in a film about the rock band Oasis, for it would require him to tone down his superior axe skills.

The ‘Casino Royale’ star said so while reacting to a question at the premiere of his film Defiance in London.

“I can play the guitar better than Noel can so I don’t know how that is really going to work,” the Sun quoted him as saying in his tongue-in-cheek manner.

It may be significant to note here that Noel had recently said that he considered Craig to be the right person for portraying him in a film about the band.

“I wouldn’t be averse to a film about Oasis. And I would like Daniel to play me,” he said at the time.

“I said to him, ‘If you can swing it for me to get the James Bond theme tune, you can play me if they do an Oasis movie,’” he added.

Noel also touted Julian Clary and Jeremy Kyle as the ideal candidates to play his brother Liam. (ANI)

Daniel Craig says Austin Powers ‘screwed’ Bond Franchise

London, Jan 8 (ANI): Daniel Craig has said that the last two films in the James Bond franchise were deliberately taken in a different direction because Mike Myers” ‘Austin Powers’ trilogy ruined the spy genre.

The 40-year-old star starred in the last two Bond movies—2006”s ‘Casino Royale’ and last year”s (08) ‘Quantum of Solace’—have shifted to a darker, less light-hearted tone as compared to their predecessors.

Craig is now convinced that Bond bosses will not take future 007 films back to the catchphrases and gags that characterised previous Bond incarnations.

And the actor has blamed Myers” Austin Powers trilogy, which poked fun at all things Bond did, for the change.

“Don”t get me wrong, I”m up for (gags), as long as the gag works. But the problem is that Austin Powers screwed everything up. He exploded the genre,” The Daily Express quoted him as saying. (ANI)

Daniel Craig doesn’t answer his phone

London: Daniel Craig, who has firmly established himself in Hollywood, has revealed that he can be a difficult man to reach.

When asked about future projects, the hunky star stated that he doesn’t have much information about it, as he hasn’t been answering his phone.

“I haven’t heard anything – but then I’m not answering my phone,” The Daily Express quoted Daniel, as saying.

Daniel revealed that the mediocre reaction to ‘Quantum Of Solace’ didn’t come as a shock to him after the unanticipated victory of Casino Royale.

He said: “Everyone thought it was going to be s***, So when it wasn’t, they were all just completely surprised.

“I think that Quantum Of Solace is as good a movie as Casino Royale. The difference is that last time people were surprised by the fact that they enjoyed it,” Daniel said.
