The former model, 36, ordered the singer to leave their Dublin home after a late-night showdown.

The news comes months after the tragic death of the Boyzone star’s close friend and band member, Stephen Gately.

“Ronan left home on Monday after Yvonne asked him to leave. There was lots of arguing again on Tuesday over everything from rumours about other women to his upcoming work in Australia and they decided to split,” The Sun quoted a band source as saying.

“Telling the kids was heartbreaking. They were both just devastated and never thought it would happen. Custody and things like that have not been talked about yet, it”s just too raw,” the source added. (ANI)

Kendra Wilkinson ‘to lose husband over sex tape revelation’

Melbourne, May 13 (ANI): Kendra Wilkinson’s relationship with husband Hank Baskett is on the rocks after her alleged sex tape with multiple partners emerged, say sources.

The former Playmate’s spouse is reportedly planning to split with her, as he is furious that she was shopping the video around, in 2008, when they were already engaged to be married, according to Hollywood Reporter.

“Hank is totally upset and embarrassed,” the Daily Telegraph quoted a source as telling Life & Style magazine of the sex tape.

The insider added: “The main reason he’s embarrassed is his team”s [possible] reaction. He needs to concentrate on his career right now, and this just creates more distractions for him.”

Celeb sex-tape broker Kevin Blatt claims Wilkinson’s manager approached him with the tape a couple of years ago.

He said: “Kendra’s sex tape was shopped to me two years ago. It was done by a person who said he was Kendra’s manager.”

Meanwhile, RadarOnline.com has revealed the identity of Wilkinson’s one co-stars in the clip. His name is Justin. (ANI)

Gerrard’s wife warns fellow WAGs to ‘stop bitching about her marriage’

London, May 7 (ANI): Footballer Steven Gerrard’s wife Alex has warned fellow WAGs to ‘stop bitching about her marriage.’

English model Curran dismissed rumours that her relationship with Gerrard was on the rocks, when she arrived at a showbiz event with her hubby, reports The Daily Star.

Her friends have said that she is annoyed with her fellow WAGs who fuelled the split rumours.

“Quite a lot of other WAGs are bitching behind Alex’s back. She is just ignoring them but she’s not happy with it. Alex hates being called a WAG and hates what they stand for,” a close friend said.

“She is a model and journalist and doesn’t get the mentality that WAGs should stay at home or just go to lunch,” the friend added.

“They have nothing better to do than gossip and be bitchy. But when they meet it’s all air kisses and admiration for each other’s latest outfits. It’s all so false. Alex doesn’t like that lifestyle and doesn’t want any part of it,” the friend further said. (ANI)

Earth’s magnetic field is 3.45 billion years old

London, May 5 (ANI): Scientists in the U.S. have discovered that Earth”s magnetic field, which protects all life on the planet, is 3.45 billion years old.

The evidence is seen in tiny iron minerals that are aligned inside ancient dacite rocks from the Barberton mountains in South Africa.

Analysis of minerals, however, indicates that the strength of the field was much weaker than today.

Earth”s magnetic forms a shield that deflects harmful particles from the Sun around our world, and limits the ability of this ‘solar wind’ to erode our atmosphere.

The new work by Professor John Tarduno, from the University of Rochester, US, and colleagues has been discussed at a major Earth sciences meeting in Vienna, Austria.

“Earth”s magnetic field is important to us,” the BBC quoted Professor John Tarduno, from the University of Rochester, US, as saying at a major Earth sciences meeting in Vienna, Austria.

“[3.45 billion years ago] is a really critical time because it”s when we start seeing the first tentative signs of life, so perhaps these two things are linked together,” he added.

Tarduno and colleagues developed techniques for studying tiny magnetite minerals trapped inside the crystals of volcanic rock. (ANI)

Police warn against railway trespass

Broken Hill police are reminding locals that it is an offence to be on railway owned land, and if caught an on-the-spot fine of $400 could be issued.

Last weekend, police officers chased a couple of men under the Crystal Street overpass, after three cars, including a police vehicle, were hit by rocks that were thrown from the rail line onto the road.

The maximum penalty for someone caught throwing objects at traffic is five years in jail. After the incident, the railway authority has resolved to step up security patrols in the area.

The authority has also raised concern for cars driving over tracks in front of oncoming trains.

Police say a driver can be fined $400 if they are caught driving through the red warning lights at a railway crossing.

Tampering of law student’s marks rocks Kerala assembly

Thiruvananthapuram, March 16 (IANS) The Kerala assembly Tuesday witnessed uproarious scenes and a walkout by the opposition over the alleged tampering of marks of law students, details of which are said to have been leaked by a Kerala University official who is the wife of the deputy leader of opposition.

Sulekha, the university’s controller of exams, is said to have discovered that marks of an LL.B final year student were raised from 34 to 44 in the Public International Law and Human Rights paper. Sulekha is the wife of deputy leader of Congress in the assembly G.Karthikeyan.

Congress legislator P.C.Vishnunadh moved an adjournment motion on the issue immediately after question hour but Speaker K. Radhakrishnan ruled that since Education Minister M.A.Baby was out of station, attending a function in which Kerala Governor R.S.Gavai was taking part, the motion could not be taken up.

This irked the opposition and Leader of Opposition Oommen Chandy said as per the convention of the house, if a minister was absent some other minister could give a reply as the government had a collective responsibility.

This was opposed by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs M. Vijayakumar, who said the question of collective responsibility did not arise on this issue.

‘The education minister has taken leave of absence from the speaker. Moreover, to reply to an issue in less than an hour for a minister not handling the department is not an easy task,’ said Vijayakumar.

But Chandy remained adamant and said what Vijayakumar pointed out did not go with the tradition of the house.

‘We also have been in government and we also have been absent from the assembly at times, but we handed over the responsibility to other ministers. Any minister can get the required information in an hour’s time to give a reply on an issue. What happened today is a black day in the history of the assembly,’ Chandy said, leading the opposition out of the house.

Later speaking to IANS, Vishnunadh said early this month a senior official of the Kerala University on perusal of certain records found that the marks list of students had been tampered with.

‘In the answer for Public International Law and Human Rights paper of final year LL.B course, a student had got 34 marks and this was marked on the counterfoil of the answer sheet. But in the tabulation sheet, he was found to have got 44 marks. On seeing this, the controller of examination called for the answer sheet and found that the student’s actual marks were 34. It was also found that an error of this nature was spotted in the case of another student as well,’ said Vishnunadh.

Earlier, during a meeting of the Kerala University Syndicate, members belonging to the Student Federation of India – the student wing of the ruling CPI-M – accused Sulekha of leaking details of the incident.

‘Our student activists who staged a protest march to the office of the university, yesterday (Monday) are now in jail. We demand a thorough investigation into the scam by an external agency because the credibility of the university is at stake,’ added Vishnunadh.

Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson split rumours dismissed

New York, March 17 (ANI): Rumours of Ryan Reynolds and his wife Scarlett Johansson hitting splitsville have been dismissed after the couple were said to be eyeing a permanent move to New York.

A source close to the actress claimed the couple had reached an agreement to keep a lid on their relationship since it began in April 2007.

“People have been saying that they are on the rocks because they haven”t been spotted together recently, but that”s only because they are both busy working,” the New York Daily News quoted the source as saying.

“She”s been doing up to eight shows a week on Broadway, and he”s been shooting the ”Green Lantern” in New Orleans. It”s been tough, but they”re making it through just fine,” the source added.

Explaining the pair’s alleged plans to shift to the Big Apple, the source said: “Scarlett is extremely close to her sister, Vanessa, who lives in Chelsea, and she wants to live full-time in the city.” (ANI)

Staying calm helps save stranded diver

Sea rescue authorities have credited an Esperance diver’s survival with his ability to remain calm after becoming stranded at sea overnight.

Peter Agnew, 46, was diving off the south-east coast on Friday, but when he surfaced his four-metre dinghy had drifted away.

He swam to Sandy Hook Island where he took refuge for the night, before swimming a further 800 metres the next morning to get help from a passing fishing boat.

Russell Palmer from the Esperance Volunteer Marine Rescue Group has praised Mr Agnew’s actions throughout the ordeal.

“He stayed calm the whole time when things didn’t work out for him, when he surfaced and realised his boat was gone, he didn’t panic, he stayed calm,” he said.

“[He] got himself up onto the rocks and … thought his situation out very well, in the end that’s probably what got him through it.”

Mr Agnew was discharged from hospital yesterday after being treated for dehydration.

Call for cull after dogs try to attack woman

The Northern Territory Opposition says it supports culling camp dogs in remote Aboriginal communities.

The renewed push for the culling of potentially-dangerous dogs follows concerns raised by a woman in Maningrida, who said she feared for her life after packs of dogs stalked her.

The Opposition Leader, Terry Mills, says the Territory Government needs to look at immediate ways to combat the problem.

“I’m not against culling,” he said.

“There’s no problem with culling.

“I grew up in the bush and I know that there are times when you have to make tough decisions in the interests of security for that community and health.”

Debbie Corey, who lives in Maningrida, said she was walking to work this morning when three separate packs of dogs confronted her.

She was forced to fight them off with a stick.

“How does one feel safe?” she said.

“Why should you have to get in the car to go anywhere, why should you have to take a big stick or handful of rocks?

“How many other people have got to go through this?”

Ms Corey said there are packs of up to 30 dogs constantly roaming the streets and hanging around the school.

“It’s really shaken me and I definitely won’t be walking to work again,” she said.

Last week another Maningrida resident wrote to the ABC saying there are up to five dog attacks per week which result in injury.

The West Arnhem Shire said it was doing its best to combat the problem with limited resources.

It said it wants to employ an animal control officer but does not have the funding.
