Natalie Portman denies dating Sean Penn

Washington, May 17 (ANI): Natalie Portman has denied reports of her romantic link-up with Sean Penn, insisting that the actor is ‘a friend and colleague’.

Several tabloid reports have claimed the two are an item after being seen together in a West Hollywood bar shortly after Penn, 48, filed for a legal separation from his wife of 13 years, Robin Wright Penn.

However, the 27-year-old actress is firmly denying rumours that the two are an item.

“Sean Penn is a friend and colleague,” E! Online quoted her as telling Extra.

“The reports that we are romantically involved are completely untrue. I normally do not respond to rumours about my private life, however, this repeatedly fabricated story has forced me to do so,” she added.

Portman parted ways with folk-rock singer Devendra Banhart last fall. (ANI)

Gary Glitter’s new Rolf Harris-style disguise

London, May 3 (ANI): Pop paedophile Gary Glitter has reportedly taken a new disguise to trick the crowds in London with a Rolf Harris makeover and a new name Darren.

The glam rock singer-child abuser was allegedly trying to ape the Aussie singer and TV presenter by sporting a curly grey wig, black specs and neat beard for deception, reports News of the World.

The 64-year-old, who was jailed and listed as a sex offender following conviction for downloading 4,000 images of child pornography in 1999, was seen armed with the coiffured hairpiece, along with smart jeans and blazers as he stepped out his 1.8-million pound luxury pad.

The fallen rocker was spotted eyeing pretty young waitresses and making an excuse out of his hearing problem to bring them close to him.

The pop pervert, who was deported from Vietnam last August following a jail sentence for molesting two girls aged ten and 11, later tried to pick up young women on the street, as per reports.

He then purportedly returned home in a drunken state, but not without trying to make a desperate bid to lure two attractive blondes and young man up to his flat.

Glitter apparently told the trio he was called Darren, adding: But that’s not my real name.”

And when the group looked perplexed, he insisted he could not reveal his real name.

He said: “I’ve only just returned to England. . . I was away for ten years. The government won’t let me leave the country. I hate it here. It stinks. I want to leave and if I had the chance I ould.” (ANI)

When Penny Lancaster had a fit of shyness

London, Mar 30 (ANI): Brit model Penny Lancaster was spotted displaying her shy side as she left London’s Dorchester hotel, with her legs covered up.

Lancaster, 38, who is married to rock singer Rod Stewart, was wearing one of her usual ultra-short dresses and black tights, but when they developed a ladder she took them off.

“It seems Penny thought she was showing a bit too much bare leg as she got two friends to cover up her legs with a shawl as she left the venue when she saw snappers were waiting,” the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

“When she then got in the car, she made sure her legs were clamped closely together to avoid any unnecessary display of flesh. She seemed to find it all highly amusing,” the source added. (ANI)

John Mayer to sue magazine over Aniston book reports

Washington, Mar 20 (ANI): Musician John Mayer is planning to sue a U.S. magazine over reports that he’s planned to cash in on his relationship with Jennifer Aniston by writing a book.

According to the Star Magazine, the 31-year-old pop rock singer was planning to a book on his on/off romance with the ‘Friends’ star since their split last week.

However, an infuriated Mayer has dismissed the reports, and is contemplating taking the publication to court over the claims.

“Even for them, it’s a new low. They’ve dressed themselves up but they’re no better than the Enquirer. Despite their low standards it’s still not ok to make up stories and print them,” Contactmusic quoted a representative for Mayer as telling gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

“Unfortunately, while we’re considering legal action, Star Magazine is already at work on next week’s cover story about some reality TV star’s secret marriage to Elvis,” the rep added. (ANI)

The couple first began dating last March, but briefly split in July.

Gary Glitter drops legal battle to avoid signing sex offenders’ register

London, Jan 17 (ANI): English glam rock singer Gary Glitter, who has been convicted of sexual offences, has decided to drop his legal battle in order to avoid signing the sex offenders’ register.

Glitter had tried to escape the safeguard after returning to the UK from a three-year prison sentence in Vietnam, and his legal appeal had been set to take place on February 19.

He was expected to appear in person, but his solicitor has withdrawn the appeal in a letter to Harrow Crown Crown, reports the daily star.

The message claimed Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, would not get a fair trial because of the media interest.

His dropping the case means that his name and personal details will remain on file for life, and that he will have to tell police if he moves or wants to travel abroad for more than two days.

Glitter had tried to fight signing the sex offenders’ register saying his Vietnam conviction was a “travesty of justice”. (ANI)
