Courtney Love cosies up to Uma Thurman’s ex

New York, May 18 (ANI): Rock musician Courtney Love has added fuel to rumours that she is involved with actress Uma Thurman’s hotelier-ex Andre Balazs after she was spotted cosying up to him.

Love, 45, had denied rumours that she was romantically involved with Balazs, saying that he was nothing more than an “old friend” and her “sometimes landlord”.

But their recent behaviour at Balazs’ uber-exclusive club Boom Boom Room inside the Standard Hotel suggested otherwise.

“They came to the Boom Boom Room together late Thursday night and initially went their separate ways,” the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying.

“At first, Courtney was chatting with a couple of guys about her music. But eventually, she and Andre snuck out to the smoking deck together and were hugging and being touchy.

“They both seemed very sweet and genuine,” the source stated.

But when Balazs was approached by a woman he knew, Love is said to have lost it.

“When Courtney and Andre decided to call it a night and hail a cab, Andre was stopped by a woman he knew,” the source revealed.

“As soon as he started talking to her, Courtney hit the roof. It was obvious to everyone that the woman was a business associate, but not to Courtney.

“She acted like a toddler! It got so bad that the woman Andre was talking to got really embarrassed, and he had to apologize and walk away. By then, Courtney was crying and screaming.

“Andre started shouting right back at her. They eventually got into a cab, but the few people left on the street at that hour were in shock,” the source added. (ANI)

Courtney Love speaks about her bust-up with daughter

London, Mar 16 (ANI): Rock musician Courtney Love has revealed that the split between her and her daughter came about because of the teenager punching, biting and scratching her.

Love, 45, said her daughter, Frances Bean, from late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, was placed under the temporary guardianship of her paternal grandmother and an aunt in December last year after the fall out.

The singer was later issued a banning order by a judge, which prevented her from contacting Frances until a further hearing in April this year.

She is adamant to get her daughter back, but she also wants to clarify about the argument that sparked their split.

“I was talking on the phone. Frances came out of my room. She was hysterical. First she was crying at my legs, saying, ‘Why was I born?’ Then she bites and scratches and pulls on my hair,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.

“She punched me. I grabbed her with both arms. That left a bruise and she took a picture of her bruise,” she added. (ANI)

Courtney Love’s bandmate clueless about Hole reunion

Washington, Jun 25 (ANI): Rock musician Courtney Love’s decision to reform rock band Hole came as a big surprise to her former bandmate Melissa Auf Der Maur, as she knew nothing about it.

Love, 44, who had recently revealed that her long-awaited solo album would be released as a Hole record, had also said Auf der Maur would be backing her with vocals and a bass guitar.

But Auf der Maur has admitted that while she would consider rejoining Love in the studio, she knows nothing about the record and tour plans.

“I actually don’t know (about the reunion). I have no idea. I heard that Hole were getting back together from people sending me links,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“I am very proud of my time in Hole, I’m very grateful for my ‘big sister’ Courtney and the initial door that she opened for me in music and I have literally no comment, other than she and I have been in touch for the first time in a decade, and I know she’s in the studio and I’m excited to hear what she makes.

“Whether it’s Hole or Courtney, that’s up to her to decide, I don’t know. I’d say that it’s all very new news,” she added. (ANI)

Fraudsters buy #200m office block using Love, Cobain’s identities

London, Apr 22 (ANI): American rock musician Courtney Love has claimed that fraudsters bought a 200-million pound office block using her and late hubby Kurt Cobain’s identities.

Besides the office block in New York, Love, 44, said that several homes and cars, a spa retreat and dozens of credit cards were taken out on their names.

As per her friends, Love, who was left Cobain’s 21million pounds-a-year estate when he killed himself in 1994, was “too out of it” to notice the fraud when it started in 2003.

But now she has spent 500,000 pounds on private investigators in a bid to find her missing millions. And she is ready to launch a civil lawsuit next week.

“We’re talking hundreds of millions of dollars and it was taken by people very close to her,” the Sun quoted a pal as saying. (ANI)

Courtney Love to sue Kurt Cobain estate’s ‘looters’

New York, April 8 (ANI): American rock musician-actress Courtney Love is contemplating dragging some of the people handling her late husband Kurt Cobain’s estate to court, after realising that they have lost all the money that the Nirvana frontman had left for her and their daughter Frances Bean.

Her lawyer Rhonda J. Holmes, of Gordon and Holmes in San Diego, has revealed that Cobain’s estate had been looted of more than 30 million dollars in cash, and up to 500 million dollars in real estate.

According to reports, a team of investigators, forensic accountants and lawyers hired by Love made these findings.

“I have never seen such greed and moral turpitude. This case is going to make Bernard Madoff look warm and fuzzy,” the New York Post quoted Holmes as saying.

“We will be filing civil cases . . . within the next 30 days. There are many, many millions missing. We’ve only been able to track down 30 million dollars, but there is more. And then there is the real estate,” the lawyer added.

According to Holmes, bank accounts using Cobain, Love and Frances Bean’s Social Security numbers were set up and used to buy and sell real estate across the US.

“There is now a web of homes which were bought, flipped and used to launder money — up to $500 million worth. Any of the property we can get back will be donated to people who have lost their homes in foreclosures,” Holmes said.

When Holmes was asked how could that have happened, the lawyer said: “Courtney noticed the money was gone when there wasn’t any left. It’s no secret she struggled with substance-abuse issues, but in the last year she’s taken a more serious approach to sobriety and started noticing things were wrong. She hired private investigators, accountants and me.”

Holmes added: “We are also working with local and federal authorities. When Mr. Cobain died in 1994, he left his enormously wealthy estate behind for the benefit of his mother, two sisters, a brother, his wife and young daughter. Many of those [involved with] the estate’s coffers mismanaged, stole and outright looted it shamelessly.” (ANI)

Courtney Love’s anti-Semitic rants revealed in Jewish magazine

New York, Jan 17 (ANI): American rock musician Courtney Love’s anti-Semitic views have been revealed in the Jewish magazine Heeb.

Love, who describes herself as Buddhist even though her mother is Jewish, spoke out about her ex-husband Kurt Cobain’s legacy.

“Every time you buy a Nirvana record, part of that money is not going to Kurt’s child, or to me, it’s going to a handful of Jew loan officers, Jew private banks, it’s going to lawyers who are also bankers . . .” the New York Post quoted her as saying.

She further shared her views on the reason why she gave up playing in an all-girl band.

“Like, there are [bleep]ing riot grrls sitting there banging on pots and pans and talking about their vaginas, and that’s all really lovely, but the music blows,” she added. (ANI)
