Prince William’s RAF base ‘mate’ will soon be a ‘ladette’ after sex change op!

London, Apr 23(ANI): Prince William’s Royal Air Force (RAF) base is set to get a ‘new’ woman helicopter pilot after one of the airmen told his colleagues that he is having a sex swap.

Flight Lieutenant Ian Holdom, who is one the pilots of 22 Squadron C Flight based at RAF Valley in Anglesey, where William is learning to fly the Sea King Mk3 helicopter, has revealed his sex-change plan in an email, and hinted at it on a Facebook status update.

He told friends that he was recently diagnosed with gender dysmorphia and expects to transform himself into a woman called Ayla in the next 12 months.

“Prince William must have been a bit taken aback when he found out Ian, or rather Ayla, was becoming a woman. They will have met each other in the mess and will know each other through social events,” The Sun quoted a military source, as saying.

“It wasn’t a total shock for those of us who have known Ian for a while, as he was not happy being a man. This sort of thing isn’t that unusual in this day and age, even in the military,” the source added.

Prince William will also be posted to Anglesey after successfully ompleting his RAF Search and Rescue pilot training in September

The second-in-line to the throne can expect to be promoted to captain and given overall control of the helicopter in the coming years, which means that there is a good chance of William and Flight Lieutenant Holdom teaming up. (ANI)

Prince William takes Kate Middleton to Mustique for her second holiday

London, August 24 (ANI): Prince William has reportedly taken his girlfriend Kate Middleton to Mustique for her second holiday just days after she returned from a family holiday on the Caribbean island.

The couple flew out to the island on Wednesday for a week’s break.

Their trip came as William’s helicopter training in Anglesey finished two weeks earlier than expected.

They are thought to be staying at a five-bedroom cliff top villa, which costs 2,000 pounds a night.

The villa, considered to be the most opulent in Mustique, offers facilities like an infinity pool, a private beach, and a team of staff.

“They are having a fantastic time. Kate and William have been spending a lot of time on the beach and William has been showing off his skills on the jet ski,” the Telegraph quoted a source as having told the Sunday Mirror.

“They are having the time of their lives and haven’t stopped smiling since they got here,” the source added.

Although the prince had been expecting to be training to become an RAF search-and-rescue pilot in North Wales during the whole of August, an unexpected period of fine weather allowed him to complete his required flying hours early, and, consequently, he got two weeks off. (ANI)

‘Too busy’ Wills ‘rules out’ marriage to Kate Middleton next year

London, August 9 (ANI): Prince William is far from drawing any wedding plans with girlfriend Kate Middleton next year, according to reports.

Friends of the couple were previously said to have been convinced that the long-running royal romance would end in marriage in 2010.

But the prince, who is training to become an RAF search and rescue pilot, was allegedly too busy with his hectic schedule, including his two official tours to South Africa and Australia.

“All this talk of a wedding next summer is wide of the mark,” the News of the World quoted a high-ranking Palace figure as saying.

It was suggested that the lovebirds, presently 27, may turn 30 before tying the knot. (ANI)

How Prince William gained insight into violent street culture

London, June 21 (ANI): Prince William has made it known for the first time how his private meetings with former street gang members helped him pick valuable pointers from them.

The royal revealed he had met former gang members through his links to charities and understands their struggle to earn “respect”.

“Former gang members have told me that it is precisely to find status, respect from others and the role in a community that we all crave that led them to fall in with gangs in the first place,” The Telegraph quoted him as saying in his article for the newspaper.

“One enduring feature of all gangs – and teams – is that they survive on mutual support. They allow their members to earn respect by obeying the rules, and they share clear objectives.

“Essentially, they allow the individual to belong. As such, the fundamental difference – so far as I can see – between violent street gangs and cohesive teams of contented young people is the destructive violence of the former set against the constructive comradeship of the latter.

“The challenge, therefore, seems to me to be to how turn gang members into team members,” he added.

William, who turns 27 today, is presently training to be a search and rescue pilot. (ANI)

William and Harry both set sights on military action in Afghanistan

William and Harry both set sights on military action in AfghanistanLondon, June 19 : British Prince William is desperate for an opportunity to fight for his country, while his younger brother Harry hopes that he will once again get a chance to return to Afghanistan as a helicopter pilot.

Both Princes are currently training at the Defence Helicopter Flying School at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire.

While William is flying twin-engined Griffins on his way to becoming an RAF search-and-rescue pilot, Harry is training for the Army Air Corps in the single-engine Squirrel.

“I did not join the Forces to be mollycoddled or treated any different. As far as I’m concerned, if Harry can do it, I can do it,” Times Online quoted William, who has always been kept clear of frontline combat, as saying.

“As future head of the Armed Forces, it is really important to at least get the opportunity to be credible and to do the job I signed up for and do the best I can. It is all I ever wanted to do,” he added.

The 26-year-old Prince might have seen himself doing search and rescue for four or five years, but he hopes to serve in Afghanistan as part of his future operational roles.

“You talk to everyone else and it is impossible. I still remain hopeful that there is a chance,” he said.

Younger Prince Harry said if he could not return to Afghanistan with the Household Cavalry, he would try to go as a helicopter pilot.

“It’s my easiest way to get back to the front line. I love flying helicopters and I hope that I can be better than the best. That is what I have always strived to be, to go out to a front line. My best chance to do it is from a helicopter,” he said.

Harry no longer dreams of flying Apache attack helicopters.

Giving the reason for that, he said: “Brain capacity – I don’t know if I’ve got it for the Apache.”

He revealed that he would prefer the Lynx, a utility helicopter used for support and convoy protection as well as ferrying personnel.

If successful, he could be ready for operations as early 2011.

Wills, Kate return to the public eye at polo tournament

London, May 11 (ANI): Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton were spotted together in public at a polo tournament following a brief separation.

The pair, who have been together for seven years, were pictured together for the first time in five months in Ascot, Berks.

The young couple had been avoiding the spotlight while the royal trains to be a search and rescue pilot in Shropshire.

“William and Kate have gone to great lengths this year to keep out of the public eye,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

The two appeared relaxed and happy before heading for William’s private apartment at St James’s Palace, where they are thought to have spent the night. (ANI)

‘Kate Middleton’s health scare on becoming late mum’

London, April 12 (ANI): Kate Middleton fears her becoming a late mother might land her with health troubles, according to sources.

The 27-year-old is presently waiting for her royal beau Prince William to complete his seven-year training as an RAF helicopter rescue pilot.

And her close pals have claimed that Kate is worried she might be in her mid thirties before she has her first child.

“She knows the clock is ticking and she doesn’t want to see 30 come and go and find herself short of time and plagued by health problems that come with older pregnancies,” the Daily Star quoted a pal as saying.

The couple had made headlines last year when foreign magazines alleged the two had already had a pregnancy scare.

The reports were slammed by their friends and courtiers while William was said to have been stunned. (ANI)

Prince Williams once wanted to be a policeman!

London, March 19 (ANI): Prince William has revealed that he once dreamed a life of a cop chasing the bad guys when he was younger.

The soldier prince made the revelation in a television interview to promote his support for the Teenage Cancer Trust’s plans to build a new centre for young patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey.

The 26-year-old, who is presently training to become a Royal Air Force search and rescue pilot, unwrapped his childhood ambition in front of a 10-year-old cancer patient Alice who asked him what he would have done if he were not a prince.

“A long time ago I wanted to be a policeman. I soon learned that probably wasn’t a good idea,” the Sun quoted him as saying in an interview with the BBC’s Newsround.

And when asked who would win an arm wrestle between him and his younger brother Prince Harry, he added: “You know the answer to that! It’s not even a contest.

Obviously I’d win. As the bigger brother you have that psychological power over your brother, you see.” (ANI)

Wills, Middleton to share first home together

London, February 22 (ANI): Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton will reportedly share their first house together at the RAF base where he is honing his flying skills to become a search and rescue pilot.

The second in line to the throne will allegedly stay at a renovated house at the military base in Shropshire, where he is expected to remain until September.

The 26-year-old will then be sent to air-sea rescue bases to gather experience while he completes his 18-month course in 2009.

The development was said to have left an excited Kate, who can stay overnight with her royal beau as often as she likes.

“Kate is thrilled that after all the waiting she and William will finally have a grown-up life together,” the Daily Star quoted a family friend as saying.

Another aide said: “Married quarters are formally for married couples.

“But the prince is, of course, allowed visitors and officers are allowed to live off base in secure accommodation.” (ANI)

Short-sighted Wills used loophole for RAF pilot course?

London, Jan 16 (ANI): Speculation is rife that short-sighted Prince William may have exploited a loophole to fulfil his dream of being an RAF pilot, for which only people with perfect 20/20 vision can apply.

The 26-year-old royal was spotted in a pair of shatter-proof specs as he began his helicopter pilot’s training.

According to some, the prince, who faces being nicknamed Four Eyes by RAF pals, got round the rule because he was a serving Household Cavalry officer.

RAF chiefs are allowed to consider applications from Army and Navy personnel on a case-by-case basis.
Wills, now known as Flight Lieutenant Wales, will undergo 800,000-pounds-worth of training over the next two years to become a member of the RAF’s elite search and rescue team.
“Prince William set his heart on becoming a pilot when he was a boy. He’s earned his place on the course because he went through Sandhurst like any other Army officer. He has already shown he has the natural skills that should make him an exceptional pilot,” the Sun quoted a source at RAF Shawbury, Shrops, as saying.

The RAF confessed that the prince used the loophole to join up, but insisted no rules had been broken.

A spokeswoman said the prince had a full medical, including a thorough eyesight test, when he applied.

“When corrected, his eyesight meets the standard required for a search and rescue pilot,” she added. (ANI)
