Amy Winehouse’s new man two-timing her with stripper

London, June 4 (ANI): ‘Rehab’ singer Amy Winehouse’s new man has been revealed to be two-timing her with a stripper called Raven.

Winehouse, 26, has been dating director Reg Traviss since she chatted him up at his parents’ pub a few weeks ago.

But now it has emerged that he is also seeing burlesque star Raven Isis Holt, 25, who he has been seeing for two years.

“Amy can’t steal my man,” the Sun quoted Holt as telling a pal on June 3.

“He’s told me they are just friends and I believe him. There’s no way he’d leave me for Amy,” she added.

Traviss was spotted having dinner with Holt, who is a philosophy student by day, on June 2 night. (ANI)

‘Racist’ Oz Davis Cup star banned for calling opponent ‘f***ing kaffir’

Sydney, July 9 (ANI): The ATP has banned Western Australian Davis Cup star Brydan Klein for six months for calling his South African opponent Raven Klaasen a “f***ing kaffir” during a teenager tournament in Eastbourne, UK.

The massive ban follows a previous 14,000 dollars fine, the maximum possible under the ATP, and a suspension by the Australian Institute of Sport.

Despite issuing a public apology, the ATP today told Klein he would not be allowed to play in any tournaments in the next six months, as well as adding 10,000 dollars to his fine, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

An ATP statement said Klein had been suspended from the ATP World Tour and ATP Challenger Tour tournaments, having been found to have committed the Player Major Offense, Aggravated Behaviour under its code of conduct.

Klein has the option of appealing the penalty or accepting a reduced penalty option.

If he enrolls in and successfully completes a racial sensitivity training course, which is acceptable to the ATP, within the first four months of the suspension, the remaining two months’ suspension and the additional fine will be waived, the paper said.

The penalty is effective from July 20, 2009 unless he appeals the decision. A Tennis Australia spokesman confirmed the ban after Tennis West president Dean Williams said he was sad but not surprised because of Klein’s previous track record.

In a statement after the incident, Klein said he deeply regretted his actions, the paper reports.

“I would like to clarify my position on an incident that occurred during my match against Raven Klaasen in the last round of qualifying for the AEGON International at Eastbourne on June 14,” Klein said.

“I deeply regret my serious error in judgment in using this word and I am very sorry for the offence this has caused. After the match I called my opponent Raven and apologised for what had happened and also apologised for any offence caused to his support team,” he added. (ANI)

Cricket-loving explorers head for match on Everest

London, Apr.10 (ANI): A party of 50 cricket-loving explorers departed Lord’s yesterday for an unusual tour. In 11 days’ time, after flying, driving and finally trekking to a plateau 5,000 metres (17,000 ft) up in the Himalayas, more than three miles above sea level, they will play a match of Twenty20 cricket and set a world record: the highest altitude recorded for a field sport.

According to The Times, the Nokia Maps Everest Test match is due to be played on a frozen lake near Everest base camp called Gorak Shep, which means “dead raven” in the language of the Sherpas who will accompany the cricketers.

The teams, named Hillary and Tenzing, will play a match of 20 overs a side under the proper laws of cricket. They will use wooden stumps and bats, a pink leather ball (which stands out better against the snowy terrain) and a full-sized artificial pitch that has been broken into three parts and will be carried up the mountain.

The match is due to be played on the Queen’s official birthday, and a message of support from Buckingham Palace was sent to the two teams. After the match, a proper British cricket tea will be taken and the Union Jack raised in the Queen’s honour.

The match is being played for charity, and it is expected that over 250,000 pounds would be raised for the Himalayan Trust and the Lord’s Taverners.

Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook, the England Test captain and vice-captain, have agreed to be the honorary captains. (ANI)
