MJ fans to fly over court ”for justice” during Murray”s hearing

London, April 1 (ANI): A group of Michael Jackson loyalists is set to charter a plane and fly over LA to “demand justice” for late pop icon as his former personal physician appears in court.

These fans have collected 833pounds to rent an airplane that will carry the banner, “We demand justice for Michael Jackson”, reports the Daily Star.

The plane will fly over L.A. County Superior Court on April 5 as court proceeding begin with Dr. Conrad Murray accused of administering Propofol to MJ minutes before the King of Pop went into cardiac arrest and died last June.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter.

According to TMZ.com, MJ devotees will also present 100 roses to the late star”s mum Katherine Jackson to support her through the hearing and have raised cash to gift a locket to the singer”s daughter Paris who will be celebrating her 12th birthday on April 3. (ANI)

MJ’s dad to file wrongful death suit against Conrad Murray

London, Mar 25 (ANI): Michael Jackson”s father is planning to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the King of Pop”s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray.

It is alleged that Murray administered the drugs that ultimately killed the ‘Thriller’ star.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter after Los Angeles prosecutors charged him with administering the powerful anaesthetic Propofol to Jackson minutes before the singer went into cardiac arrest last June (09) and died.

Now, Joe Jackson wants Murray to be punished for his alleged medical malpractice.

And he has instructed his lawyer Brian Oxman to begin proceedings to file the wrongful death claims in Los Angeles County Superior Court next week.

In an interview with TMZ.com, Oxman said that the Jackson family patriarch is seeking an unspecified amount of punitive damages, economic support, loss of companionship and loss of consortium.

However, the legal notice has angered Murray”s lawyer Ed Chernoff, who is confident any such claim will not be awarded.

“That”s like throwing a bucket of water on a man drowning in the ocean,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying. (ANI)

Jackson doctor faces licence suspension

California’s attorney-general has asked the Los Angeles Supreme Court to suspend the medical licence of Michael Jackson’s doctor, who last month pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

Edmund Brown said in a statement that his office had filed documents to the court to suspend Conrad Murray’s licence on behalf of the California Medical Board “until the criminal proceedings against him are completed”.

Dr Murray “administered a lethal dose of propofol, as well as other drugs to Michael Jackson”, Mr Brown said in his filing.

“We will argue in court that Murray was reckless in giving Jackson such a dangerous drug and has demonstrated a serious lack of judgment that should prohibit him from practicing medicine.”

Dr Murray, 56, denied last month a single charge of causing the death of Jackson on June 25 last year. He was the last person to see the King of Pop alive.

The physician was ordered to surrender his passport and posted bail of $US75,000 ahead of a hearing on April 5.

He could face up to four years in prison if convicted.

‘MJ’s doc delayed calling 911 to conceal drugs’

New York, March 23 (ANI): Michael Jackson”s personal doctor has been accused of interrupting CPR and causing delay in calling 911 while he tried to conceal drugs.

Alberto Alvarez, a witness and Jackson’s logistics director, told investigators Dr. Conrad Murray, who is at the centre of involuntary manslaughter over the star’s death, the medic asked him to put rubber-topped drug vials into a brown canvas bag and an IV pouch with a milky fluid in its connector into a separate blue bag.

Alvarez added Murray only asked that paramedics be called after the drugs were stashed, the New York Daily News reported.

Miranda Sevcik, a spokeswoman for the lawyers representing Murray, said: “These leaks scream of insecurity. Prosecutors either want to taint the jury pool or bait us into answering so they can get a peak at our defense. Dr. Murray led investigators to where the propofol was before this statement [by Alvarez]. That has not been a secret.”

Murray previously confessed he waited 20 to 30 minutes before calling the authorities, saying he was unaware of Jackson”s address and had trouble summoning the singer”s staff while performing CPR.

The doctor also admitted administering propofol to help Jackson sleep and has denied the manslaughter charge.

Jackson died aged 50 on June 25 last year in Los Angeles. Coroners ruled the case as homicide caused by an overdose of the anesthetic propofol. (ANI)

Family wants justice, insists MJ’s dad

London, Sept 1 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s father Joe in his first public statement after the singer’s death was declared a homicide, has demanded justice.

The senior Jackson’s statement comes after the Los Angeles’ County Coroner declared that the King of Pop was killed by a cocktail of strong prescription drugs – Propofol and Lorazepam.

The corner’s ruling could put MJ’s physician Dr Conrad Murray in a tight spot.owever, Joe has refused to say anything about the role of the doc.

The Daily Star quoted him as telling U.S. TV’s the Today show: “I keep thinking, I just cant believe this happened to him… I’m not angry, I’m mad. I’m mad because I didn’t know all of this was going on, that’s what I’m mad about. I didn’t know he was taking that type of medication. They (the family) want justice to be done and that’s what is being done. I don’t know (if that means criminal charges).

“It’s the first time I’ve ever heard of the drug. That tells me that was foul play, that’s what it tells me and (there is) more to be investigated to see what was behind all of this stuff, not just Dr. Conrad Murray. Someone should pay. Not just someone, but all of them should pay that’s (sic) involved. I didn’t say doctors – everybody else that’s involved.”

The complete autopsy report of the pop icon – who died on June 25 – has not been released. (ANI)

MJ killed himself by mistake with drug overdose, claims personal doc

London, August 30 (ANI): Michael Jackson accidentally took his own life by administering an overdose of anaesthetic on himself, his personal physician will reportedly claim.

Dr Conrad Murray and his legal team will allegedly defend themselves claiming the King of Pop topped up his own drip with powerful sedative Propofol.

Murray, who is at the centre of a manslaughter probe, previously confessed hooking up the insomniac star to a drip with the drug to help him sleep, reports the News of the World.

The medic alleged he administered just 25 milligrams of Propofol into the bloodstreamof the singer.

He will purportedly claim that Jackson later re-set the machine to increase the dosage that sent him into a cardiac arrest.

Medical experts have, however, cast a shadow of doubt over Murray’s claims, saying 25mgs of Propofol would not have been enough to put Jackson to sleep for sometime.

Dr Kathleen London, a US family practice physician, said: “Murray says he only gave 25mgs of Propofol. I don’t believe that. In order to induce sleep, 40mgs is needed.”

MJ’s family seeks justice over drug death

London, August 29 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s relatives have reportedly said that they ware waiting for the moment when those responsible for the star’s death will be brought to justice.

The Los Angeles Country Coroner recently ruled Jackson’s death as homicide caused by acute intoxication from powerful anaesthetic propofol and other conditions.

The findings may result in criminal charges against the singer’s personal physician, Dr Conrad Murray, who administered the sedative to help him sleep, reports Sky News.

The Jackson family allegedly praised the actions of the coroner and cops and said it “looks forward to the day that justice can be served”.

Propofol and the psychoactive drug benzodiazepine were concluded as the primary drugs responsible for Jackson’s death in the coroner’s report.

Other cocktail of sedatives, painkillers and stimulant found in Jackson’s system included diazepam and ephedrine.

The coroner said the complete toxicology report remains sealed at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County District Attorney.

MJ’s death ruled as homicide

London, August 29 (ANI): The Los Angeles Country Coroner has ruled Michael Jackson’s death as homicide caused by acute intoxication from powerful anaesthetic propofol and other conditions.

Propofol and the sedative lorazepam were concluded as the primary drugs responsible for Jackson’s death in the coroner’s report.

Other cocktail of sedatives, painkillers and stimulant found in the singer’s system were midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine and ephedrine, reports the Telegraph.

It is the first time Jackson’s death has been officially concluded homicide while the complete toxicology report remains sealed at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County District Attorney.

Detectives have been probing the circumstances leading to death of the King of Pop, who died aged 50 on June 25 from a cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles mansion.

Officials have quizzed Jackson’s team of doctors as part of the investigation and the star’s personal physician Conrad Murray has been at the centre of a manslaughter probe. (ANI)

MJ inquiry could take months

London, August 27 (ANI): Officials probing Michael Jackson’s death have reportedly said that it could take months before an arrest could be made in the case.

Jackson’s personal physician Conrad Murray and other doctors are being investigated by police over their role in the star’s death, which is being treated as homicide.

“We’re looking at months before we make any arrests. We want to build a concrete case,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

Murray, who is at the centre of a manslaughter probe, could be charged after the Los Angeles Coroner allegedly ruled that the singer’s death was homicide and that he had lethal levels of powerful anaesthetic Propofol in his body when he died.

Murray, who told homicide detectives he gave Jackson 25mg of propofol to help him sleep before he suffered cardiac arrest, has denied any wrongdoing. (ANI)

MJ death probe: Cops accuse personal doc of lying

London, August 27 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s personal physician has been reportedly accused of lying about the amount of powerful anaesthetic Propofol he gave to the singer before he suffered cardiac arrest.

Dr Conrad Murray, who is at the centre of a manslaughter probe, had previously confessed giving low 25mg doses of the drug.

But law enforcement officials suspect the King of Pop may have been administered up to a massive 400mg on the day of his death.

“We are suspicious of Dr Murray’s account of what happened. It seems very scripted,” the Daily Star quoted an LA police source as saying.

Murray has previously denied any wrong doing, insisting: “I have done all I can do and have faith that truth will prevail. I didn’t kill Michael Jackson.”

MJ’s ex wife tipped cops about drug doc

London, August 27 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s former wife reportedly tipped cops about how doctor Arnold Klein helped supply the star with powerful drugs.

Debbie Rowe, who used to work as an assistant at Klein’s Beverly Hills clinic, was said to have secretly informed authorities how the singer used aliases to get the drugs from the plastic surgeon, who treated Jackson for 20 years.

Court papers apparently state that detectives got a tip-off from “an unknown female caller”, who revealed Jackson used names such as Omar Arnold, Fernand Diaz and Peter Madonie when he saw the medic.

Klein was purportedly accused of helping Jackson stock sedatives including powerful anaesthetic propofol that is believed to have caused his death.

“Rowe holds Klein totally responsible for Jackson’s drug addiction,” the Sun quoted sources as saying.

“She believes there is no way he could have got hooked without the help of Klein – and she is potentially the only one who can prove it.

“She must have suspected what was going on for years.

“She could really put the boot into Klein and she has good reason to. It makes her skin crawl to think Klein is the biological father of her kids, like reports suggest,” the sources added. (ANI)

MJ’s doc spent 47 mins making calls after he stopped breathing

London, August 26 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s personal physician Conrad Murray has been accused of spending 47 minutes making calls to another doctor, a lawyer and a mystery associate after the singer stopped breathing.

Dr Steven Hoefflin, who treated Jackson for 25 years, alleged Murray phoned fellow medic Arnold Klein for advice on what to do as the King of Pop lay dying.

“Murray definitely called Klein because Klein taught him how to administer propofol,” the Sun quoted Hoefflin as saying.

“There were two in-state calls then one out-of-state. He was calling an attorney – he had to because Michael was dead.

“He tried to cover it up by telling everyone Michael had a weak pulse, but Michael was dead,” he added.

Hoefflin, a respected plastic surgeon, also claimed that Murray rang an attorney before informing a security guard to dial 911 and summon paramedics to Jackson’s Los Angeles home.

But a lawyer representing Murray recently denied claims that the medic left Jackson to make phone calls after giving him powerful anaesthetic Propofol.

Lawyer Ed Chernoff issued a statement seeking to clarify parts of a court affidavit unsealed in Houston, Texas.

The contents came to light as reports claimed that the Los Angeles County coroner had concluded Jackson’s death was homicide and that he had lethal levels of Propofol in his body when he died on June 25. (ANI)

MJ’s sis relieved to know brother’s death truth will be out soon

London, August 26 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s grieving sister La Toya has confessed that she was relieved the world would soon learn the truth about the star’s death.

The 53-year-old said she was waiting for the day when the names of those responsible for killing the King of Pop would be made public, and when they would be brought to justice.

“I am thankful to the investigators for uncovering the truth to the world,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.

“I look forward to the day that justice will be served to all the parties involved in my brother’s homicide,” she added.

La Toya spoke just hours after parts of a court affidavit unsealed in Houston, Texas, emerged claiming the Los Angeles coroner had ruled that Jackson’s death was homicide and confirmed the singer had lethal levels of propofol in his body. (ANI)

MJ’s death was homicide, concludes coroner

London, August 25 (ANI): The Los Angeles County coroner has reportedly concluded Michael Jackson’s death was homicide.

The King of Pop, who was allegedly being treated for insomnia, had lethal levels of the strong anaesthetic Propofol in his body when he died, according to court papers.

Details of the coroners’ findings were revealed when a search warrant affidavit was made public in Texas, reports the Sun.

Investigators have quizzed the team of doctors who treated Jackson, including his personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray, who, though not named as a suspect, is at the centre of a manslaughter probe.

A search warrant affidavit for Murray in California read: “The Los Angeles Chief Medical Examiner-Coroner, Dr Sathyavagiswaran, indicated that he had reviewed the preliminary toxicology results and his preliminary assessment of Jackson’s cause of death was due to lethal levels of propofol (diprivan).”

The affidavit apparently revealed that Murray told LAPD detectives he had been giving the singer propofol as part of his treatment for insomnia, and feared the star was becoming addicted to the drug.

But Murray, who has denied any wrong doing, reportedly gave Jackson a lower dosage of propofol on the morning of his death after several other drugs failed to work.

MJ’s burial ‘postponed to Aug 31′

Washington, August 21 (ANI): The date for Michael Jackson’s burial has been delayed. The singer will now be laid to rest on August 31.

The King of Pop, who died on June 25 at his rented LA mansion, was to be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California, on August 29, on what would have been his 51st birthday.

But the star’s father Joe revealed the date had been pushed back by two days so that the Jacksons could have more time for preparations, reports Contactmusic.

Meanwhile, Jackson’s personal physician, who allegedly administered strong anaesthetic to the music legend before his death, will be charged with manslaughter, it was reported.

Dr Conrad Murray, who apparently admitted giving the sedative Propofol via an IV drip to help the singer sleep, will purportedly be taken into custody within two weeks. (ANI)

J’s personal doc ‘to be charged with manslaughter’

London, August 20 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s personal physician, who allegedly administered strong anaesthetic to the star before his death, will be charged with manslaughter, according to recent reports.

Dr Conrad Murray, who apparently admitted giving the sedative Propofol via an IV drip to help the singer sleep, will purportedly be taken into custody within two weeks.

According to Fox News, which quoted an anonymous police source, investigators may not go for a more serious charge of second-degree murder unless new “smoking gun” evidence emerges, reports Times Online.

Murray recently uploaded a video on YouTube, saying, “I have done all I can do [to help the police]. I told the truth, and I have faith the truth will prevail.”

The medic has not been the only one at the centre of Jackson’s death probe. The music legend’s dermatologist, Dr Arnold Klein, has also been under the police scanner after he confessed giving the singer Demerol, a painkiller.

Meanwhile, Jackson, who died on June 25 at his rented LA mansion, is to be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California, on August 29, on what would have been his 51st birthday. (ANI)

MJ’s mum may sue his doc for $100m over ‘wrongful death’

London, August 19 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s mother plans to sue the star’s personal doctor with a 100-million dollar “wrongful death” claim.

Katherine Jackson aims to target Dr Conrad Murray who admitted administering the sedative Propofol via an IV drip to help the King of Pop sleep. He now is at the centre of a manslaughter probe.

“The wrongful death action has been floated…no decision has been finalised,” The Sun quoted Jackson family lawyer Burt Levitch as saying.

Miami-based wrongful death lawyer Stewart Greenberg said the medic could end up facing a 100 million dollar payout.

He said: “If Katherine brings the case on behalf of herself and the kids, she only has to show what Michael lost in earnings by his premature death.

“He was only 50 and had plenty of years left in him as a top level entertainer. It could be 100 million dollars, could be more.” (ANI)

MJ’s mum plans to sue his gig promoters

London, August 19 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s mother is reportedly planning to file a lawsuit against the concert promoters of her late son, believing them to be responsible for her son’s death.

Katherine Jackson apparently thinks the music legend was killed by the pressure to perform for the 50-show run in London.

She may also sue the singer’s personal physician Conrad Murray, who is the focus of a manslaughter probe, after he admitted administering the sedative Propofol via an IV drip to help the King of Pop sleep.

“The possibility of a wrongful death action has been floated,” the Daily Star quoted family lawyer Burt Levitch as saying.

“Dr Murray’s name has been floated because he is under investigation,” he added.

A spokesman for concert promoters AEG said: “It would be inappropriate to speculate on any potential litigation.” (ANI)

MJ’s personal doc’s YouTube posting: “truth will prevail”

London, Aug 19 (ANI): In the first public appearance since Michael Jackson’s death, his physician Dr Conrad Murray has posted his video on YouTube.

It is the first time that Dr Murray has spoken publicly since Jackson’s death. The physician was present at Jackson’s home when the singer suffered a fatal cardiac arrest on June 25 and is at the centre of the investigation into what killed the 50-year-old King of Pop.

Police and drug enforcement officials are investigating the allegation that Dr Murray supplied Jackson with propofol, an anaesthetic that can prove fatal, reports The Telegraph.

Dr Murray said on his YouTube post: “I want to thank all of my patients and friends who have sent such kind emails, letters and messages to let me know of your support and prayers for me and my family.

“Because of all that is going on, I am afraid to return phone calls or use my email. Therefore I recorded this video to let all of you know that I have been receiving your messages. I have not been able to thank you personally which, as you know, is not normal for me.

“Your messages give me strength and courage and keep me going. They mean the world to me.

“Please don’t worry. As long as I keep God in my heart and you in my life, I will be fine.

“I have done all I could do. I told the truth and I have faith that truth will prevail. God bless you and thank you.”

Dr. Murray had not spoken before the public since MJ’s death on June 25, though federal investigators raided his Houston office and home in Las Vegas last month. (ANI)
