July 1 (Reuters) – South African retailer Pick’n Pay (PIKJ.J) said on Thursday it plans to sell an Australian unit for about 1.4 billion rand ($183.6 million) to unlisted local firm Metcash Trading.
Pick’n Pay will sell its 77 Franklins supermarkets to Metcash in a deal that is expected to close by September 30, the company said in a statement.
