J.Lo’s list of demands for WMA includes diamond-encrusted headphones!

London, May 19 (ANI): Latino Singer Jennifer Lopez has agreed to sing at the World Music Awards but that has come with a huge price.

As part of her demand list, she has asked for a helicopter ‘on stand-by’.

She has also demanded a custom-fitted speedboat – complete with love seat, faux leather seats and a champagne fridge.

The 40-year-old has also asked for a pair of 3,000-pound-diamond-encrusted headphones to keep the noise of the boat”s motor.

“Jennifer was partying on board Sir Philip Green”s yacht in Cannes before being transferred by speed boat to Monaco for the WMA,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

“Her people requested that she have an entire floor of the hotel to herself to ensure she wasn”t hassled. Privacy was a main concern so she had a piece of beach roped off, too.

“She spent the morning playing there with the kids. But she declined the offer of a butler, insisting she was happy to do things for herself,” the source added. (ANI)

Simon Cowell to sign £100M-a-year record deal for ‘American Idol’

London, July 15 (ANI): Simon Cowell is in talks to sign a 100million pounds-a-year ‘American Idol’ contract, which could make him the highest paid star in TV history.

By sealing the US deal with Fox, Cowell will quadruple his current 25million pounds a year, which means that he would rake in a whopping 2.2million pounds an hour on screen.

And his new business partner, Topshop mogul Sir Philip Green, is negotiating the agreement.

Cowell, 49, is seen vital to the survival of the ailing American network, which makes 450million pounds a year from advertising on the hit talent show.

The network signed up American Idol’s cheesy host Ryan Seacrest for a three-year deal worth 30million pounds and is now closing in on Cowell.

“The word went out from on high to pay Simon what he needs,” the Mirror quoted a Fox insider as saying.he source added: “Without him the show would be a shadow of itself. And without American Idol we’re in the dumper.”

Cowell will also soon be in renewal talks over his ITV contract, which is likely to be less than his current 20million pounds deal over three years. (ANI)

Kate Moss, Simon Cowell ‘to launch billion dollar global empire’

Washington, July 13(ANI): Kate Moss has reportedly joined hands with TV mogul Simon Cowell to launch 1-billion-dollar global entertainment company.

Apart from the two known celebrities, British businessman Sir Philip Green is also in the team.

The British model is expected to be responsible for the fashion and style section of the project that could double her fortune to 100-million-pound.

“She has been signed as a figurehead and style setter for the fashion end of the business. She will bring her expertise to the table, advising on all branding and style for clothes, hair and accessories,” Contactmusic quoted a friend as telling Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.

Her friend said: “She will also be involved in finding and signing new bands and promoting them. Something that has also been talked about is Kate developing her own singing career and starting a music label.

“She has a big network of people Philip and Simon have no access to and they want her to make the new venture hip.”

Philip Green developed a business relation with the beauty after she signed up to create her own clothing range for his chain of British high street stores Topshop.

Kate’s pal added: “Philip knows Kate has been looking for a way out of modelling for the past five years.

“She’s only confided in her closest friends because she still has outstanding contracts. No one knows she met up with Simon and Philip two weeks ago to sign and agree the final deal.” (ANI)

Kate Moss to be TV talent show judge?

Washington, July 06 (ANI): If sources are to be believed, Kate Moss is in talks with music mogul Simon Cowell to become a small screen star.

Cowell, who is the man behind hit TV talent shows including ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and the ‘X Factor’, has reportedly joint hands with U.K. retail billionaire Sir Philip Green to expand his TV business.

And the British supermodel is apparently an important part of their scheme.

“Sir Philip and Simon think she is a brand in her own right and would be a landmark signing, earning them and her millions. They believe Kate has far more talent than being simply beautiful,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling The People magazine.

The source added: “She’s a natural in front of the camera and quick witted so they think she would be a great TV talent judge.”

Moss has also designed her own clothing range for Green’s fashion chain Topshop. (ANI)

‘Simon Cowell to quit X-factor’

London, June 25 (ANI): Simon Cowell has decided to quit X Factor to launch a billion-pound global TV and entertainment empire with Topshop tycoon Sir Philip Green, say reports.

According to sources, the 49-year-old music mogul has told his friends that the next series will be his last.

He plans to join hands with Green to create and sell TV formats across the world. One of their first targets could be ITV.

“Nothing is off limits,” the Mirror quoted an insider as saying.

However, the ITV bosses desperately want Cowell to stay.

But insiders say Cowell is reviewing his future.

“He has found X Factor increasingly draining and it leaves him little time for serious business,” said a close friend.

“Now he’s decided this will be his last series and he’s moving on. In future, he will have a more overseeing role,” the friend added.

It is said that Cowell is extremely excited about his collaboration with Greene.

They will also create shows, manage stars and exploit the rights to existing TV hits. (ANI)

Kate Moss ‘snubs beau’s concert to holiday with Topshop boss’

London, May 06 (ANI): Catwalk queen Kate Moss turned down the opportunity to spend time with boyfriend Jamie Hince in New York last week so she could holiday with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green, according to sources.

Sources say that Hince asked the supermodel to fly to the US to watch him perform with his band The Kills at Webster Hall.

But Moss, who was in New York three days later to attend a fashion gala, instead chose to take a break on the Topshop owner’s boat in the Mediterranean.

Hince, who hasn’t seen the catwalk queen in over a month due to touring commitments, is now said to be scheduling another meet up.

“Jamie was gutted. He’s been on the road for a month and really wants to see Kate,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

“His band had a gig at the Webster Hall on Friday and he’d asked Kate to come to it because she was going to be in New York on Monday anyway.

“But she didn’t want to make time to see him and went on Philip Green’s yacht instead.

“The Kills had gigs in Washington DC and Philadelphia over the weekend, which he’d also asked her to come to. He reckoned she could easily see him at the gigs and get back in time for Monday night.

“He’s now trying to get her to go to the Canada gigs. It’s not looking good,” the source added. (ANI)

Kate Moss shows off her spare tyre

London, May 4 (ANI): Gone are those days when Kate Moss had a waif-like figure. The supermodel was recently seen with a spare tyre around her waist.

Moss, 35, who was relaxing on Topshop boss Sir Philip Green’s yacht in Monaco, did not bother to hide the bulge, as she soaked up the sun in a bikini, reports the Mirror.

She was holidaying with Green, 57, and his wife Christina, and she looked like she had put on a few pounds.

The model was also spotted having a good time sunbathing topless in the sun. (ANI)

Change Capital losses no surprise: Margaret Doyle

By Margaret Doyle

Roger Holmes and Luc Vandevelde were the pair who almost drove Marks and Spencer into Philip Green’s embrace. Employees at Robert Dyas should be grateful that they have avoided the same fate.

Holmes was Vandevelde’s choice as chief executive at M and S. As the share price fell while he was in charge, Green threatened to bid, and the M and S board was obliged to do what they’d resisted doing: appointing Stuart Rose to keep the company independent.

Vandevelde had been a successful executive chairman, but after he appointed Holmes, he saw no conflict of interest when a private equity group he was involved with invested in a retail business called M and S (no relation).

So it is no real surprise that Change Capital Partners, where both are managing directors, should have lost so much in the hardware business.

The 8 million of equity has gone, along with the 22 million pounds of loan note — plus rolled-up interest at 16 percent a year. That’s 54 million pounds in real money. Not bad in five years. Is Kate Moss planning to write a cookbook?

London, April 6 (ANI): After conquering the modelling world and storming the high street with her Topshop threads, Kate Moss is rustling up some recipes to tickle tastebuds, according to sources.

The catwalk queen has reportedly decided to write a cookbook after being inspired by Topshop boss Sir Philip Green’s stepdaughter Stasha Palos, who recently penned her very own recipe book of traditional Jewish dishes.

“Kate recently cooked Jamie a slap-up Jewish meal following kosher techniques from Stasha. She loves her easy-to-follow recipes,” the Mirror quoted an insider, as saying.

“It’s all she’s been taking about.

“Stasha is due to release her book this year and Kate has been testing out the recipes,” she added.

The Croydon-born supermodel has reportedly been trying her hand at everything from chicken noodle soup to salt beef and potato latkes, non-dairy pareve carrot and honey cakes.

“Her friend Davinia Taylor has been helping and Kate is always on the phone to her pals for tips,” the insider said.

“She is buzzing about the idea of being the first supermodel to release a cookbook,” the insider added. (ANI)

Kate Moss’ ‘booze fuelled week of debauchery’

London, March 21 (ANI): Kate Moss has been club hopping for an entire week and seems to be leaving her mark on every evening.

The supermodel began her giant week on March 16 at Topshop boss Sir Philip Green’s 57th birthday at London’s Annabel’s where she bared her chest.

The catwalk queen was spotted 24 hours later for another birthday party, this time that of designer Alexander Mcqueen.

She then went on to put herself under the hammer the following evening at the Mummy Rocks charity event that saw her perform a raunchy dance routine.

“Kate was really enjoying herself. She was catching up with pal Jo Wood and kept dragging Jo’s son Tyrone up to dance,” the Sun quoted an onlooker as saying.

“As her mates got up on stage to do karaoke, she even grabbed the mic and joined in for Tina Turner’s hit What’s Love Got To Do With It.

“Then, when Britney Spears’ Womanizer came on, she performed an entire raunchy dance routine, grinding up and down against her mates,” the onlooker added.

The 35-year-old was also seen losing her temper on Friday evening after being told to wait for her turn to use the loos at London’s posh Volstead.

A source said: “She barged into the ladies and when she realised there were no cubicles free she starting kicking one of the doors, shouting: ‘Hurry up or I’ll kick the f***ing door down.’

“The female toilet attendant told her to calm down and offered her some tissue paper to use when it was her turn, but Kate threw it back at her, saying, ‘I don’t want any of your skanky toilet roll.’” (ANI)

US Topshop launch of Kate Moss’ clothing toned down due to recession

Washington, Mar 9 (ANI): The launch of British supermodel Kate Moss’ clothing at Topshop in the US has had to be toned down due to the recession.

Moss’ fashion clothing line at British chain Topshop is doing so well that the franchise is heading overseas with a flagship store opening in New York next month.

But plans of having a huge bash to open the shop have been scrapped by its billionaire owner Sir Philip Green, who has instead decided to invite 35-year-old Moss to boost Topshop’s American profile.

“The opening is on April 2 and the whole team is working hard to make sure it goes off without a hitch,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

“We’ve decided not to have a huge event, because of the recession, but we’re looking forward to the line being a great success over there. Kate will hopefully be coming over to give it some glamour,” he added. (ANI)
