Pitney Bowes Named to “World`s Most Ethical Companies” List for Fourth Consecutive Year

STAMFORD, Conn.–(Business Wire)–
Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) today announced that it has been recognized by the
Ethisphere Institute as one of the World`s Most Ethical Companies in 2010.
Pitney Bowes earned a spot on the list by implementing ethical business
practices and initiatives that benefit customers, shareholders, employees and
communities. Pitney Bowes has earned this award for four consecutive years.

yearly for employees, and managers are rated in their annual performance
appraisals on their ethical leadership.

This is the fourth year that the Ethisphere Institute, a research think tank
dedicated to the advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics,
corporate social responsibility, anti-corruption and sustainability, has
published the World`s Most Ethical Rankings. The 2010 list will appear in
Ethisphere Magazine’s Q1 issue.

The methodology for the WME ranking includes reviewing codes of ethics,
litigation and regulatory infraction histories; evaluating the investment in
innovation and sustainable business practices; looking at activities designed to
improve corporate citizenship; and studying nominations from senior executives,
industry peers, suppliers and customers.
