Liam still wants to make music with his Oasis pals, but chief songwriter Noel won”t be part of the band.

And Ono is mourning the band”s split.

“I love Oasis. We need the power of goodness like them. The goodness is shining from their music,” the Daily Express quoted her, as saying. (ANI)

M&S model Lenoir ”attempted suicide after footballer Makelele dashed her reconciliation hopes’

London, May 15 (ANI): Marks & Spencers model Noemie Lenoir attempted suicide because footballer Claude Makelele told her that their relationship was over, it has emerged.

The beauty was found unconscious in the woods outside the French soccer star’s Paris home following drugs binge.

The former couple, who have a five-year-old son, Kelyan, together, had parted ways last year.

Lenoir had been dating Swiss millionaire Carl Hirschmann, but pals suggest she could never really get over Makelele, 37.

“Claude and Noemie’s relationship is known in France as une histoire d’amour – a love story and a sad one. To us they are like the Beckhams, huge stars,” the Mirror quoted a pal of Makelele, as saying.

The friend added: “Noemi is one of the most beautiful women in France. Claude is the love of her life. She has dated other men, but none compare to him – he’s the father of their child, after all.

“He has been seeing other women, she’s known this, but there is one in particular he is very keen on and Noemie is devastated.

“She has always said she wanted to marry him. But they get back together, split, then get back together again.

“Now he has this new woman he has told her in no uncertain terms it’s over. She wanted to make a point with Claude that she is still in love with him, and that’s why she went to his house to attempt suicide.”

Also, a close friend added: “Noemie has been spiralling into depression in recent months – she has been having a crisis about turning 30, not being married and she has a fear that she’ll always be alone. When she woke up on Sunday she was terribly depressed and carried on drinking. She decided her only option was to kill herself.”

Meanwhile, Swiss millionaire Hirschmann, who is presently accused in a sex and extortion scandal in Zurich, has reportedly dumped her too. (ANI)

Sinitta said she was shocked when The Mirror broke the news of the earlier this year.

She said, “He always said he never wanted to get married. He surprised us all.”

A spokeswoman said, “We do not comment on Simon”s private life.” (ANI)

Cheryl Cole now wants the ‘sex factor’

London, May 13 (ANI): X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has told pals that now that she’s finally over love rat hubby Ashley, she’s ‘gagging for it’.

“But now she”s over it, she wants a smile back on her face,” The Sun quoted a source as saying.

Pals says new US Supreme Court judge Kagan no lesbian

Washington, May 12 (ANI): A close friend of newly appointed Supreme Court judge Elena Kagan has refuted allegations and rumors that she is a lesbian.

POLITICO quoted Sarah Walzer, Kagan’s roommate in law school and a close friend, as saying onTuesday: “I’ve known her for most of her adult life and I know she’s straight. She dated men when we were in law school, we talked about men — who in our class was cute, who she would like to date, all of those things. She definitely dated when she was in D.C. after law school, when she was in Chicago – and she just didn’t find the right person.”

Walzer, half amused and half appalled to be discussing her friend’s sexual orientation, agreed to be interviewed after Kagan’s supporters decided they should tactfully put an end to the rumor, which White House officials had already tried to squelch in background interviews with reporters.

She said she decided to talk to POLITICO because the discussion of Kagan’s personal life has become a “distraction.”

“It’s taking away from substantive discussion of the issues from a really substantive person who deserves to be given the opportunity to address the substantive issues,” she said.

Another friend, former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, a member of Kagan’s social circle at Princeton University, said: “I did not go out with her, but other guys did. I don””t think it is my place to say more.”

The rumor about Kagan has circulated for months on gay blogs and became a matter of controversy when it was cited as fact by a conservative blogger on the website of CBS News, drawing a sharp White House rebuttal. (ANI)

“The painting also shows various well known faces including pals Sadie Frost, Naomi Campbell, Lily Allen and even Gordon Brown and his wife, Sarah. It is pretty eclectic.

Facebook fans find searching for pals best

Washington, April 24 (ANI): Facebook users enjoy searching for friends the most, a new American study has found.

Kevin Wise, an assistant professor of strategic communication at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, examined people”s habits when they navigate Facebook.

Wise says previous studies on social networking sites involved merely surveying study participants. Wise conducted his study differently.

He said: “Rather than asking people to report their uses of Facebook, we wanted to see them in action.

“We wanted to see if there is a way to categorize Facebook use, not based on what people say about it, but what they actually do when they are using it.”

During the study, participants were seated at a computer and told to navigate Facebook for a determined amount of time.

Participants could view anything they wished during that time, as long as they stayed on the Facebook website. Using screen-capturing software, Wise was able to view every action that each participant made while on the site.

The researchers attached sensors to various parts of the participants” bodies to measure potential emotional responses as the participants navigated Facebook.

Wise categorized participants” actions into two different groups: social browsing and social searching.

He defines social browsing as navigating the site without a targeted goal in mind.

Wise says people use social browsing when they survey the general landscape, such as their newsfeed or wall, without looking for specific information.

Wise defines social searching as searching the social networking site with the goal of finding certain information about a specific person, group, or event.

He found that participants tended to spend much more time on social searching than social browsing. Not only did participants spend more time on social searching, but they seemed to enjoy it more as well.

Wise said: “We found a more positive response from participants during social searching, or when they had homed in on a particular target.

“Ultimately, it appears that Facebook use is largely a series of transitions between browsing the environment, then focusing in on something interesting or relevant.”

Wise says that this was an exploratory study to move past how people say they use Facebook in favour of studying their actual behaviour.

He says that there are many more questions about how people use social networking sites that he hopes to study in the future. (ANI)

Brit girl risks Dubai jail by telling cops she was raped after boozy night out

London, April 19 (ANI): A British girl is said to have risked being jailed in Dubai by telling cops that she was raped after a boozy night out.

The 24-year-old trading company executive, who has been identified only as Lucy, said that the 30-year-old Arab man insisted on giving her a lift home after a night out drinking with pals at the Dubai Marina.

And then he allegedly drove her to the remote area and attacked her, before taking her back to her flat and raping her again on her bed.

The accused man told police that she agreed to sleep with him, and now if her account of what happened is not believed, she could face prison for drinking and having sex outside marriage in the strict Muslim state.

“She told police she screamed and cried out begging him to stop during both attacks which were entirely against her will,” the Sun quoted a Dubai court source as saying.

“She went straight to the nearest police station and reported the sex attack at 3.20am the same day,” the source said.

Cops were immediately able to find the alleged attacker, named only as Saif, as the woman had saved his mobile number when they were introduced earlier in the night.

“The case will be heard in full before a judge who will decide who is telling the truth, but the girl may face difficulties if her story is not believed,” the source revealed.

“She is still regarded as the victim at this stage, though she has already admitted being drunk, which is itself an offence in Dubai.

“And if the court finds in the man”s favour, she could face a charge of having unlawful sex as well which might land her in jail for a year followed by deportation,” the source added.

The alleged rape in January is the latest to spark anxiety among ex-pats in Dubai.

A date for the rape trial will be set later this year. (ANI)

London, April 16(ANI): Katy Perry and Russell Brand are considering getting married in Japan, sources say.

Earlier, pop star Rihanna had revealed that the couple were planning to get hitched in India later this year.

However, the pair is keeping their options open.

“Russ and Katy are marrying at the end of the year, almost a year to the day he proposed,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

The insider added: “They originally planned to wed in India, in an intimate ceremony before close friends and family within the grounds of the Taj Rambagh Palace hotel, where Russell popped the question.

“They have a holding reservation but nothing is set in stone. The pair of them want to keep people guessing and on their toes – even their celeb pals.

“Whilst in LA, Russell told a couple of people that they were also considering Tokyo as a venue.

“It is a really buzzy, vibrant city and somewhere completely different and unique. Katy kept jokingly hitting Russell, telling him to keep his big mouth shut.

“But Katy really likes the idea of wearing some kind of Geisha-inspired bridal dress so it is a real possibility.” (ANI)

Women only consider three friends completely trustworthy and reliable

London, Apr 16 (ANI): For women, only three of their friends are completely trustworthy and reliable, a new British poll has found.

The survey of more than 3,000 people found that despite a circle of 22 friends on average, people in the UK have close relationships only with few of them.

Three-quarters of best friends are revealed as family members, with mothers topping the list at 39 per cent, followed by sisters at 23 per cent, while one in 10 people nominated their spouse.

The study showed that a typical close friendship lasts 18 years, with most best friends meeting at school, work or university.

However, the study also found that people lose touch with around 24 friends over the years, simply drifting apart.

“It is only the really strong friendships which continue despite life’s interruptions, and of course family members are often the most reliable and trustworthy people to turn tom” the Daily Express quoted Shefali Mattani of Nivea, which commissioned the survey, as saying.

Two-thirds of those questioned said a busy lifestyle meant they saw friends less and less, although a third were happy to confide in their pals over the Internet.

“There really is nothing like making the effort to meet face-to-face. That is why we are urging people to take time out, really think about the relationships they have, and celebrate close family ties and friendships,” said Mattani.

Unsurprisingly, 84 per cent of people questioned claimed that relationships with family and friends were the most important things in their life. (ANI)

When WBA champion Haye gate crashed to watch his idol Lewis fight

London, Mar 31 (ANI): WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, who will be taking on American challenger Johnny Ruiz on Saturday, had gate crashed the London Arena 10 years ago to watch Lennox Lewis retain the world heavyweight title.

Spotlights will track Haye, now 29, as he walks to the ring to defend his WBA title in front of a sell-out crowd at Manchester’s MEN Arena.

But things were different when he and some of his friends got into the now-defunct London venue to watch Lewis destroy Frans Botha in two rounds.

“One of my pals paid for a ticket. He went in and opened a fire exit so we could all bundle in although a security guard was trying hard to stop us,” The Sun quoted Haye, as saying.

“We all ran round him and disappeared into the crowd before meeting up by ringside where I did a bit more blagging. I sat there just feet from the apron, a 500 pound ticket for nothing.

“We got there as Lennox was coming to the ring. He was a massive idol of mine. To watch him dispatch Frans Botha like that was brilliant,” Haye said.

“Back then I would never have thought in a million years I would be the next Briton defending the heavyweight title over here. I feel proud about it,” he said.

Bookies have Haye as favourite but he is taking no notice of the odds.

“In the heavyweight division, one punch can settle it all. You can come unstuck if you don’t prepare right,” Haye added. (ANI)

Heather Mills says she treated ex-nanny ‘like a daughter’

London, March 31 (ANI): Heather Mills has slammed her former nanny Sara Trumble for betraying her and dragging her to an employment tribunal, insisting that she treated her “like a daughter”.

Trumble, 26, is claiming undisclosed damages on grounds of discrimination over maternity leave, sex discrimination and unfair dismissal.

However, Mills said the ex-nanny’s allegations were motivated by money.

She even accused Trumble of outright lying.

“Sara won”t look at anyone in the eye because she is lying,” the Telegraph quoted Mills, as saying.

While Trumble admitted she accompanied Mills to Slovenia with her other staff and pals to celebrate her 39th birthday she said the behaviour of the Dancing on Ice star changed after her split with Sir Paul McCartney.

Trumble said: “I wasn”t the only person who felt that at that time. It”s just that nobody else will stand up. I decided to take action and fight this for myself.”

Mills told the panel she asked the former beauty assistant to babysit her daughter after she found Trumble was earning a mere 20pounds a week for giving massages at Hilden Health Club in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Mills said: “Overly helpful Heather, I offered her some way to help her better herself as I thought she had huge potential.”

She went on: “I wasn”t demanding and that”s always been my problem… she actually worked the least hours of all my staff, I was the softest on her of all my staff.”

“I do not accept that I discriminated against Sara in any way or that I treated her unfairly. I therefore have drawn the regretful conclusion that Sara has made these allegations against me purely to make money.”

She added: “I am still devastated by her claims and feel that I”ve been deeply betrayed by someone who I considered a dear friend, not just an employee.” (ANI)

Jordan ‘fumes as Peter Andre bonds with Kerry Katona’

London, March 31 (ANI): Katie Price a.k.a Jordan is apparently furious after rumours emerged that Kerry Katona and Peter Andre spent two secret nights together.

The glamour model is fuming that her old pal is now cosying up to her ex-husband.

She fears a serious romance is blossoming between them, reports the Daily Star.

The ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer has grown close to Kerry, who was a bridesmaid when he wed Kate, since her split from Mark Croft, 39.

They have bonded since hooking up again after losing touch for several years following his marriage to Jordan.

Kate apparently told her pals: “I don’t know what Pete thinks he’s playing at, she’s just a poor man’s version of me.

“He’s making a fool of himself and she is a total disgrace for doing this to a mate.”

However, Pete and Kerry’s manager Claire Powell has insisted that two are just good friends.

She said: “They are not together and they’re not going to get together – but it’s a really nice friendship. He’s a very stabilising influence on Kerry.

“That’s just what she needs at the moment.

“Pete’s got a very strong family unit around him and if she went back to drugs he would be livid because he’s very anti-drugs,” she added. (ANI)

Ashley’s never going to change his spots: Piers Morgan warns Cheryl Cole

London, Mar 30 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan has revealed that he told co-judge Cheryl Cole to get rid of her cheating husband Ashley as he will never ever change his spots.

“The way he’s been treating Cheryl is terrible. Any ounce of sympathy I had for him has gone,” the Daily Star quoted him as telling New! magazine.

“I’ve been advising Cheryl to leave Ashley for years. He is never going to change his spots. He is just a treacherous git,” he stated.

But Cheryl is said to be undecided whether to end their five-year marriage, and has not yet consulted divorce lawyers and pals say she still loves Ashley. (ANI)

Butler apologises to ex-school crush – after namechecking her on TV

London, March 30(ANI): Actor Gerard Butler called his teenage crush Julie Morrison and apologized, after naming her on US TV show.

The ‘300’ star had appeared in comedian Jimmy Kimmel”s late-night show, where he had revealed details of women who had dumped him.

He had said: “This girl, Julie Morrison… was the one you”d end up round the back of the bike sheds with… I”ll never forget her walking up the stairs… and I said something to her and then I gave her a long, lingering look… and she looked at me and gave me these come-to-bed eyes.”

However, Morrison has cleared that she is not offended by the actor’s remarks.

“I have known Gerry for 30 years and we are great pals. We will be great pals for another 30 years. What he said was typical Gerry – he is just a fun, mischievous, cheeky chappy kind of guy…” the Daily Express quoted her as telling Scotland”s Sunday Mail.

She added: “What he said has been misconstrued. He was making lighthearted comments to amuse an audience. None of it was meant to be taken seriously.

“I know Gerry has been shocked by how people have painted him out to be a bad guy and he got his lawyers involved. I keep in touch with him but I was surprised to get the call out of the blue. He just told me what I knew – that it was a bit of fun.

“I had never even heard of the show let alone seen it so I was really surprised by this. I have people phoning me up to see if I”m OK about it but it was just a good laugh. I am not in the least offended… It was hysterical and I”m not taking anything to heart.” (ANI)
