London, Sep 18 (ANI): German model Heidi Klum reportedly stayed away from the New York Fashion Week, as she could have gone into labour at any moment.

Klum, 36, who is expecting her fourth child with husband Seal, missed out on designer Ann Taylor’s collection preview on September 17.

The model had recently been unveiled as the new face of Taylor’s clothing label.

“(Klum) won’t be able to make it to the show because she is due any day now,” the Daily Express quoted a rep for Taylor as having told the New York Post. (ANI)

Mickey Rourke’s sloppy appearance at New York Fashion Week

London, Sep 17 (ANI): American actor Mickey Rourke reportedly stunned the crowd at the New York Fashion Week on September 15, when he appeared in a stained suit and confessed he was “still drunk”.

Rourke, 57, who returned to the limelight with his role in ‘The Wrestler’, caused heads to turn as he reportedly slurred while speaking to photographers who asked him to pose in between fashion shows.

The actor was asked why he would not smile by the reporters.

“(Because) I’m still drunk… I’m wearing the same suit I got from a bad movie I did seven years ago,” the Daily Express quoted him as having told the New York Post.

“It’s still got the stains from a bullet hole. I just put this colourful pocket square in front of the stain so nobody can tell,” he added. (ANI)

Spitzer’s call girl Ashley Dupre walks runway at NY Fashion Week

Melbourne, September 17 (ANI): Ashley Dupre, the former high-class call girl at the centre of the Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal, walked the runway during New York Fashion Week.

The 24-year-old made the appearance at Bahar Shahpar’s fashion show, according to Jill Fehrenbacher at Ecouterre.

“It’s a rare rare thing when the tabloid world crosses into the world of eco-fashion, and one that might bring a little more attention to Bahar’s already-provocative line than would normally have been the case,” the Courier Mail quoted Fehrenbacher as saying.

Dupre was dubbed as an ‘informant’ during the scandal that saw the politician patronising a prostitution service that subsequently led to his resignation from the post of New York Governor.

Eighteen months after the storm, Dupre has been recording pop songs and wooing a record deal. (ANI)

Sienna Miller flirts with Josh Hartnett at New York party

Washington, Sep 16 (ANI): Sienna Miller apparently made it clear that she has the hots for Josh Hartnett, for she “showered” the actor with a “public display of affection” at a party in New York last week.

The 27-year-old actress approached the ‘Black Hawk Down’ hunk while celebrating the start of New York Fashion Week at the DeLeon Tequila party at Rose Bar.

“She arrived with two men and sat at a table right in front of the stage. In the middle of rocking out to the music that was playing, she eyed Josh and instantly leapt out of her seat to shower him with a public display of affection,” Contactmusic quoted a source as having told Fox News.

The 31-year-old actor was apparently quite flattered with the attention, and quickly returned the G.I. Joe star’s advances.

But the open flirting did not quite impress Sienna’s pals, who failed in persuading her to leave and eventually left her to her own.

Goth rockers The Cult gave a special performance at the party, which was attended by the likes of Hugh Grant, socialite Nicky Hilton and supermodels Helena Christensen, Alek Wek, and Bar Refaeli. (ANI)

Lady GaGa nips out in racy see-through lace catsuit at NY fashion week

London, September 16 (ANI): Lady GaGa continued her shock tactics as she stepped out in a bizarre see-through red lace catsuit teamed up with eye mask and eccentric spiky hair piece at the New York fashion week.

The singer’s modesty was said to be hardly covered by a barely there red G-string and an almost-strategically placed ruffle on her costume.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old recently gave a blood-covered performance and faked her own death at the MTV Video Music Awards, during which she changed her outfit five times, reports the Daily Mail.

However, the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker’s appearance was said to be a little toned down at the Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2010 fashion show after party, where she bumped into fellow ‘shocker’ Madonna.

Madonna admitted she was “very flattered” by comparisons to the newcomer.

The Queen of Pop complimented the star, saying: “She looks like she’s going to a carnival in Venice, very beautiful.” (ANI)

Posh says fashion industry finally taking her seriously

London, Sep 14 (ANI): Former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham has revealed that the fashion industry is finally taking her seriously as a designer.

Posh, 35, presented her third collection at New York Fashion Week on September 13.

“I know I used to be in a pop group and I’m married to a footballer – a very lovely footballer,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying.

“But I’m grateful that people are prepared to leave their preconceptions at the door and let the dresses speak for themselves. The sell-through has been amazing,” she said.

A number of celebrities, who have been photographed in her figure-hugging LBDs from her current autumn/winter collection, include Madonna, Brooke Shields, Elle Macpherson, Katherine Jenkins, and Tana Ramsay.

American actress Leighton Meester recently filmed scenes for US TV series, “Gossip Girl”, in a VB scarlet “Carmontelle” peplum dress.

Posh has been promoting her line with in-store “trunk shows” at Neiman-Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in New York and at Selfridges in London.

Katie Holmes secretly working on fashion line

New York, Mar 3 (ANI): Katie Holmes has been working on a highly secret fashion line for over a year, it has emerged.

She has been secretive about her plans for the line and will not yet unveil whether or not it will be available to the masses.

The line is titled Holmes-Yang and is a collaboration between Holmes and her stylist pal, Jeanne Yang.

“We started about a year ago, sketching different things, trying to find comfortable clothing for our daughters that is also pretty and cute,” the New York Daily News quoted Holmes, as telling Glamour magazine.

Holmes has stepped out twice in the line to rave reviews.

The first glimpse of the line was last summer, when Katie was seen in a leather and silk piece. The second peek came two months later, when she stepped out in an ivory silk jumpsuit with black lace sleeves.

Holmes was reported to be planning a full-fledged runway show at New York Fashion Week in September, but the rumours have been dismissed.

Holmes has hinted at public expansion of the line. (ANI)

New York, Feb 21 (ANI): Designer Richie Rich, for whom Hollywood actress Pamela Anderson walked the ramp at the New York Fashion week, has stated that she exemplifies Marilyn Monroe terrifically.

The ‘Barb Wire’ actress, who strutted her newly enhanced chest in a gold halterneck bodysuit for Richie’s first fashion show as a solo designer, left the audience asking for more, as she flaunted the designer’s ‘Blondes Have More Fun’ collection.

“She totally embodies the Marilyn Monroe of our times,” the New York Daily News quoted Richie as saying.

“She is such a sex symbol, and she’s so funny,” he added.

Pamela was also full of admiration for Richie, who calls her his “muse”.

“I had to come! Richie has done so much for me. Besides, I felt like the trailer park was attacking me, so I had to get out,” she said.

“Richie pinned me down on an ironing board and bedazzled me with a hot glue gun,” she added. (ANI)

The hip-hop star was spotted with new love interest Amber Rose during New York Fashion Week.

They were seen cuddling at Nur Khan’s Rose Bar on Tuesday night and attending Narciso Rodriguez and Alexandre Herchcovitch’s fashion shows together.

“She’s going to be good for him. Amber is a model with a fly, out-there, in-your-face style and attitude, just like Kanye. She’s his match,” the New York Daily News quoted a source, as saying.

The source added: “Traveling with Kanye can be rough – press swarms him wherever he goes – but Amber is cool and collected about it all. She doesn’t care about industry stuff, and she actually understands Kanye.” (ANI)

Posh may ditch New York Fashion Week for spending Valentine’s Day with Becks

London, Feb 14 (ANI): Victoria Beckham might juts scrap her plans to fly to New York for Fashion Week so as to spend Valentine’s Day with her husband David.

According to sources, Becks just can’t spend the day all alone and has asked Posh to join him for romantic celebrations.

The 33-year-old footballer is in great form while playing with AC Milan, and has equalled legend Bobby Moore’s record of 108 caps.

He is said to be excited for a dual celebration with the Spice Girl, and might just convince her for spending the day with him.

“David begged Victoria not to go to New York because he can’t bear the thought of spending Valentine’s Day without her,” the Daily Express quoted a source close to the couple as saying.

“David’s playing so well at the moment and loves life in Milan – he says he’s feeling more romantic about Victoria than he has in years because he’s really on top of his game.

“He has been having top-secret discussions with a number of Italian jewellery designers over the perfect present and if she accepts his invitation he’s planning a romantic candlelit dinner with a room full of red roses on Saturday night,” the insider added. (ANI)
