Asif-Veena reach out of court settlement over all issues

Lahore, Apr.17 (ANI): The conflict between Pakistan fast bowler Mohammed Asif and his estranged girlfriend Veena Malik seems to be over with both of them reaching an out of court settlement over all issues between them.

Malik, a famous television actress, told Geo News that matters between her and Asif have been resolved as both have decided to end the muddle amicably.

“Matters between Mohammed Asif and me have been decided and we have reached an agreement. We had two-day long talks to reach a deal,” Malik said.

She, however, refused to divulge details about the ‘agreement’ between the two.

Malik said a mutual friend, Zahid Yusuf, mediated between them following which they decided to call-off the tussle.

However, there has been no confirmation of a settlement from Asif’s side.

Earlier, Malik had asked the concerned authorities to register a case against Asif for giving her ‘fake’ cheques.

In her plea, Malik claimed that she had given 10 million rupees to Asif, and the cheque that the fast bowler had given her to return the money had bounced.

Malik claimed that she had supported Asif both ”emotionally” and ”financially” during his bad days, and now she ‘at least’ wants her money back.

Asif was romantically linked to Malik, and there were rumours last year that both got secretly married in London, which has been denied by both of them.

However, Asif got married to a girl from Lahore, Hina, recently. (ANI)

Stress of 400m dlrs debts killed Jackson, says pal Lou Ferrigno

London, July 06 (ANI): Michael Jackson died because of the stress of his 400 million dollars debts, according top his pal ‘The Incredible Hulk’ star Lou Ferrigno.

“He was under tremendous stress, so much I think it killed him. He was 400 million dollar in debt. In the past, he had backed out of doing live shows but this time he was under the gun. The debts put a huge strain on him,” the Mirror quoted him as saying.

The actor and bodybuilder had been training the legend for his demanding 50-date London tour.

He visited Jackson’s rented Bel Air mansion three times a week to bring him back in shape.

He said: “He had undergone a five-hour medical in February and ad passed with flying colours, but he wanted to be fitter,

“So I would go to his house with an inflatable exercise ball and 3lb dumbbells. He did not like the dumbbells. He said he didn’t want big shoulders and big muscles like me.

“I laughed and said, ‘Michael, there’s no way you will get big shoulders from 3lb dumbbells.’”

The ‘Sinbad of Seven Seas’ star also revealed that he saw no signs of the King of Pop using any sort of drugs while he was with training under him.

He added: “I was with him until the end of May and he was fine, there was no sign of drug use and his flexibility was improving. That was important, as he was a little tight in certain areas. He hadn’t danced for so long.”

However, he agrees that his client’s diet was poor.

He mentioned: “He ate only one meal a day, always in the evening. He’d wake up and not have anything for the whole day, and when he did eat it was always vegetarian.”

Lou claims to have become a close pal of the ‘Thriller’ singer since they first met through a mutual friend in 1995. (ANI)

Prince Harry, Chelsy Davy rekindling romance?

London, June 20 (ANI): Prince Harry and ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy have fuelled rumours of reconciliation after the duo spent an evening partying.

The former couple, who ended their five-year romance January, chatted all night at a mutual friend’s private bash.

“It was great to see them together,” the Sun quoted an onlooker as saying.

“They are clearly great friends and spent much of the evening locked in conversation.

“Chelsy was on top form.

“She was wearing a sexy black dress which was so low cut it left little to the imagination.

“And it was obvious that Harry couldn’t take his eyes off her,” the onlooker added.

Prince Harry and Chelsy were present at Jake Warren’s bash near Newbury, Berks, last weekend.

Warren’s sister Susanna is dating Harry’s best pal Guy Pelly.

However, sources said that Harry, 24, had a long way to get her back.

“Chelsy’s been flat out with her law finals and he’s been busy on his flying course. However, the fact they enjoyed an evening together is a big step,” said a pal. (ANI)

Cheryl Cole’s brother in ‘car theft and crash’ soup

London, Apr 14 (ANI): Pop star Cheryl Cole’s troubled brother Andrew Tweedy found himself in soup one more time, after he stole a car and crashed it badly.

Tweedy and the Audi car’s owner Lee were drinking at a mutual friend’s house when the incident took place.

According to reports, Tweedy took Lee’s car keys, ran away with the vehicle, and later sent the owner a message telling that the vehicle was with him.

“Lee, I have taken your car, sorry mate,” the Sun quoted the message as reading.

The paper further reported that upon crashing the car, the panicked Tweedy begged Lee not to inform the cops, as he would ask his celebrity sister to bail him out of the mess.

Lee, who was shocked to see the condition of his car, gave a nod to Tweedy’s pleas and decided not to inform police if he pays for the damage.

“When I saw my car I was devastated. All the tyres were popped, the wheels were smashed to bits, the wing and the bumper were hanging off. It was a total mess,” Lee said.

“He threw away the keys in panic and I can’t get into the car. He begged me not to tell the police,” he added.

However, tired of taking care of Tweedy’s mistakes, Cheryl decided not to bail him out this time and her brother was left helpless.

Lee finally decided to inform the police about the incident.

Tweedy has more than 70 convictions, and was jailed for 6 years in 1996 for a stabbing. (ANI)

New Delhi, Mar 17 (ANI): Music videos representing Heath Ledger’s last directorial work will be released this year.

Modest Mouse are planning to release the animated video for “King Rat,” a bonus track from the band’s 2007 “We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank,” Billboard has confirmed.

Spin magazine first reported the news on its Web site, reports The China Daily.

A video for Grace Woodroofe’s cover of David Bowie’s “Quicksand” is also set for release this year, along with her Ben Harper-produced debut album, the L.A. Weekly reports.

“The idea sort of dropped, but then he just sent me an email saying that he wanted to do it,” Brock added.

The video is animated by director and illustrator Daniel Auber, a member of Ledger’s art collective the Massive. (ANI)

George Clooney denies renting Italian villa to Becks

London, Feb 28 (ANI): George Clooney has dismissed suggestions that he has lent his Italian villa to British soccer ace David Beckham.

He was reacting to the reports that said that The Los Angeles Galaxy star had moved in to Clooney’s Lake Como retreat, while he plays on loan for Italian club AC Milan.

Clooney reportedly offered the luxurious property to Beckham after mutual friend Giorgio Armani introduced the duo last year.

However, the ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ star’s representatives have slammed the rumour, insisting that Clooney has no plans to turn his prized property in to a holiday rental in the near future.

“One hundred percent not true. George is filming in America at this time. He is not renting the house to anyone, and that would include David,” the Daily Express quoted the spokesperson as saying. (ANI)
