Naked Kate Moss photos expected to fetch £30K at auction

London, May 19 (ANI): Nude black and white photographs of supermodel Kate Moss are to go under the hammer.

Over a dozen photographs were taken in 1993 in Marrakech and are likely to fetch up to 30,000 pounds when they are sold on Friday.

The pictures that show the supermodel crouching on sand come in the form of the photographer””””s ‘contact sheet’.

Photographer Albert Watson shot Moss without clothes or jewellery when she was in her late teens.

“Albert Watson is a famed photographer,” the Telegraph quoted Alexander Montague-Sparey, photography expert from Christie””””s auction house which is selling the photos, as saying.

“He is known for his work in black and white and these photographs have a golden quality to them which makes them very attractive.

“There is a contact sheet with 14 photographs and they are very large for contact sheet photos.

“There was another print from this shoot which was enlarged and sold for 50,000 pounds.

“The photographs are like looking through a keyhole into an intimate moment and they draw you in.

“There is an intimacy between the photographer and his muse. She is crouching trying to hide as much of her body as possible.

“There are those who collect Watson photographs and Kate Moss is very commercial and they are a safe investment,” he added. (ANI)

Pedro Almodovar snubs muse Penelope Cruz for new horror movie

London, May 7 (ANI): Filmmaker Pedro Almodovar has turned his back on muse Penelope Cruz as he ventures into the horror genre, because he couldn”t envision the Spanish beauty in the project.

The director has cast Antonio Banderas in his provisionally titled ‘The Skin I Live In’, which will be adapted from Thierry Jonquet”s 1999 novel ‘Tarantula’, about a vengeful cosmetic surgeon.

“(It) will be close to a horror film, which was something I really wanted to do as I had never made one, but I will not respect any rules of the genre,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

Almodovar has confessed that he has been struggling with the script, but this time he won’t knock on the door of his favourite leading lady—Cruz.

“If I can finally shoot it, it”s because I have been able to solve the huge problems I had with the adaptation. I am stubborn and I could not abandon this story… The more I developed the story, the less I saw her (Cruz) in the role. But it”s not important at all. I see her again in many more roles,” he said.

Almodovar has worked with the Spanish actress in films including 2006”s ‘Volver’ and last year”s (09) critically acclaimed ‘Broken Embraces’. (ANI)

Seven types of guys women can’t resist

Washington, July 11 (ANI): Always wondered why some guys always manage to get the best of girls? Well, the secret is not good looks or a well-defined six pack, but the fact that women simply get attracted to certain personality traits and flock to men who possess them.

Below are seven of these “ideal types” of guys that women are drawn to, and an explanation as to why these guys are so appealing, reports Fox News.

The list could help you understand what women are looking for, and most importantly, to make sure that you fit the bill.

1. The Romantic Guy

He believes in classic romance. He is constantly bringing her flowers and chocolate and lighting candles during dinner. He calls her often to let her know he is thinking about her and looks into her eyes and tells her how he feels.

Why he is so irresistible: A woman loves to feel appreciated, and the romantic guy makes this happen. He uses romantic gestures to show her he is thinking about her. As an added bonus, she feels free to reciprocate and act on her own romantic tendencies.

2. The Confident Guy

He is totally secure and sure of himself. He is assertive in public and gives off an aura of power and control. In a relationship, he doesn’t get jealous of other men; he doesn’t feel threatened by his girlfriend’s male friends or co-workers.

Why he is so irresistible: Women are attracted to confident men. Consider this: If you think you are great, she will probably be influenced to think the same. The confident man doesn’t seek approval from women, and this makes them want him even more.

3. The Artistic Guy

The artistic guy is spontaneous and lives for the moment. Often, he will use his creativity to woo her, such as with a song he has written about her or a painting he has made for her.

Why he is so irresistible: Every woman wants to feel unique and special. There is no better way to make her feel this way than to use her as your muse or your source of inspiration. She is intrigued by the artistic guy’s creative mind and especially by the way he incorporates her into his art.

4. The Foreign Guy

He comes from a faraway exotic country and he might have a cute accent or a unique way of seeing the world. His social customs and everyday behaviour can be a little quirky, but he always manages to come off as uniquely charming.

Why he is so irresistible: Women often choose this kind of guy if they are curious about the world, but most of the appeal comes down to a fascination with dating someone from another culture.

5. The Free Spirit Guy (aka the Bad Boy)

The free spirit guy goes where the wind takes him – and the wind usually takes him on some kind of wacky adventure. He might ride a motorcycle, or he might skip work to take her on a last-minute road trip, but this guy doesn’t worry too much about the consequences- he just sees where his own devices take him.

Why he is so irresistible: Every woman wants a bit of a rebel. She loves his carefree attitude and hopes that it will rub off on her too. The bad boy spirit adds an element of youthfulness to the relationship and she loves to try taming him, although she knows she’ll never actually succeed.

6. The Intelligent/Witty Guy

He instigates conversations that are intellectually stimulating and listens to what she has to say in response. He makes her laugh with his clever sense of humour and has an uncanny ability to make politics interesting. He can shoot the breeze with her for hours and it will never get boring.

Why he is so irresistible: An intellectual connection is a big part of what sustains a relationship and if you can show her that you’ve got that, she’ll be hooked pretty quickly.

7. The Considerate Guy

He holds open her car door and pulls out her chair. He foots the bill for dinner and makes sure to offer her dessert. He always asks her out with reasonable notice and picks her up at her door. He is generally sensitive to how she is feeling and when she is ready to go home.

Why he is so irresistible: Once a woman has gone through her share of the bad guy, the rude guy and the not-calling-her-back guy, she will likely re-evaluate her priorities. It takes a bit of maturity on her part to realize this, but eventually most girls come around and realize that they want a guy who will treat them well in the long run.

But, think twice before copying any of the above character types, for women can know when you are faking it. (ANI)

Britain’s Got Talent schoolboy Jafargholi wins hearts at Jackson’s memorial

London, July 8 (ANI): Britain’s Got Talent finalist Shaheen Jafargholi moved fans around the globe to tears with his stunning tribute to Michael Jackson at the star’s memorial service in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The 12-year-old from Swansea, who shot to fame after performing the Jackson 5 hit Who’s Lovin’ You on the talent competition, wooed fans with his perfect rendition of the track at the Staples Center.

The schoolboy went on to thank the late King of Pop for playing his musical muse, and making him a celebrity.

“I just want to say I love Michael Jackson and I just want to thank him so much for blessing me and every single individual with such amazing music. Thank you so much. I love you Michael Jackson,” The Sun quoted him as saying.

The Jackson family was said to have chosen the youngster amongst other singers to honour the Thriller hitmaker, telling him that the late star was a huge fan of his Jackson tribute act.

And the young lad’s jaw-dropping solo performance won him an applause, leaving mourners believe that Jackson himself was there with them.

Fan Erika Ivory, 29, from New York, said: “When that little boy started singing, Oh my God! It was like Michael was here, his voice was so powerful. It was the most moving part of the ceremony. It was such an uplifting, moving moment, it filled my heart with hope. That boy is incredible.”

Jafargholi performed alongside galaxy of stars, including Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey, and stood with Jackson’s brother Jermaine as they sang a medley of We Are The World and Heal The World. (ANI)

Jacko wanted to star in ‘Phantom Of The Opera’ movie

Washington, June 29 (ANI): Theatre impresario Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed that Michael Jackson wanted to star in the movie version of the hit musical ‘Phantom Of The Opera’.

After watching the show, which debuted in 1988, numerous times the King of Pop discussed seriously with Lloyd about starring as ‘The Phantom’ in a big screen adaptation of the hit musical.

But Lloyd Webber could not make it happen for Jackson back then, as he wasn’t ready to turn it into a film.

However, when the helmer did make the movie in 2004, he cast Gerard Butler.

“The story got to him. I think he had a connection with the lonely, tortured musician. He found the idea of somebody working through music and having a girl as a muse very intriguing – and he loved that there was illusion in the show,” Contactmusic quoted Webber as saying.

“Michael became interested in playing The Phantom himself, in a movie version of the show. We talked about it a lot, but we’d only just opened and, at the time, I felt that it was too early for it to become a film. I felt his interest in Phantom was because he was interested in doing something theatrical himself,” Webber added. (ANI)

Susan Boyle ‘lined up for X Factor guest role’

London, June 23 (ANI): Susan Boyle is being lined up to appear for a guest role in this year’s talent competition X Factor, host Dermot O’Leary has revealed.

Show bosses apparently want Susan to coach finalists during the appearance, which would also give the singing sensation a chance to share the stage with the contestants she mentors.

Dermot said: “Who she’s going to duet with – that’s the fun part,” The Sun quoted Dermot as saying.

The presenter further revealed he admires the 48-year-old songbird, who ended up as the runner-up in Britain’s Got Talent finals.

He added: “She was brilliant. I think finishing second was probably the best thing that could have happened to her.”

Dermot also said added the Scottish singer could play the muse for older contestants, who could pick pointers from her during a special episode.

He said: “I think we all need to be ashamed of ourselves in the sense that as a public we all did look at her and go, ‘She’s not good looking, she can’t possibly have a good voice’. I’m glad that she did so well.” (ANI)

Carla Bruni is Woody Allen’s latest ‘muse’

London, June 19 (ANI): Filmmaker Woody Allen says he would love to cast French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy in one of his films – insisting she has the charisma for the job.

The 73-year-old director, who’s in Paris for promoting his new film ‘Whatever Works’, was asked what strong personality he would most like to see star in one of his movies – to which he replied “Without question, Carla Bruni!”

Meanwhile, Allen is expected to visit the Elysee presidential palace during his stay to meet with President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, reports The Telegraph.

Carla’s sister Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi is herself a well-known actress and director whose first autobiographical feature depicts her sister – played by Chiara Mastroianni – as a guitar-strumming seductress with whom she is barely on speaking terms.

Nine, the Rob Marshall directed film, features an ageing sex-bomb who is a muse to a 40-year-old director Guido Contini, played by Daniel Day Lewis.

The source added: “Anne hasn’t signed up to do any advertising yet but, by dressing her, Marc can infuse his line with a fresh but famous face and Anne can revamp her image. If it works well, Anne would be happy to model for some of Marc’s campaigns.”
