Mum wants MJ’s autopsy photos kept private

London, May 14 (ANI): Late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine has expressed her fear that a series of graphic photos taken during the autopsy of the singer might be leaked to the public.

The images, which were detailed in the coroner’s report of the singer’s death, are in the possession of officials at the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.

According to the National Enquirer, Katherine, 80, fears the photos will fall into the wrong hands and end up on the Internet or splashed across publications around the world.

“There are genuine fears the pictures could be leaked or that computer hackers could get to them – and the LAPD and District Attorney’s office are taking extreme preventive measures to keep them secure,” the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

Katherine wants the pictures to be kept under wraps, as she believes the publication of the gruesome shots will be disrespectful to Michael’s memory and have a negative impact on his three young kids.

“Katherine says releasing the photos is morbid and disrespectful to Michael’s memory,” the source said.

“She’s still dealing with Michael’s death and she’s extremely worried about his kids seeing pictures of their dead father.

“Katherine said she hopes and prays that decency will prevail and no one will ever see these photographs,” the source added. (ANI)

MJ’s mum asks relatives to vacate California mansion

London, April 28(ANI): Michael Jackson”s mother Katherine has asked her former daughter-in-law Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza and her children to vacate her California mansion, it has emerged.

The Jackson family matriarch, who won custody of the King of Pop’s children, is apparently having trouble taking care of all her seven grandchildren in the San Fernando Valley house, reports the Daily Star.

According to TMZ.com, Oaziaza, who has two sons by ex-husband Jermaine Jackson and another two kids with Randy Jackson, may now move into a nearby condo, belonging to the family.

Cirque du Soleil to base show on MJ”s music

New York, April 21 (ANI): Late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s estate and Canadian entertainment company Cirque du Soleil are planning to produce a touring acrobatics show based on his music.

The “concert-like” arena tour, which is expected to start late next year and visit the New York metropolitan area, will end in 2012 with a permanent production in Las Vegas at a property owned by the MGM Mirage.

A Jackson-inspired nightclub will also open with the Vegas show.

“This will not just be a tribute to Michael’s musical genius, but a live entertainment experience that uses the most advanced technology to push every creative boundary as Michael always did,” the New York Daily News quoted estate layer John Branca as saying in a statement.

“Having attended Cirque du Soleil performances with Michael, I know he was a huge fan,” he stated.

The estate, which supports Jackson’s three children and his mother Katherine Jackson, will own 50 percent of the project and share in the cost of production. The estate also will receive royalty payments.

“Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way,” Katherine Jackson said in a statement. (ANI)

Eldest sister says she helped raise Michael Jackson

New York, Apr 19 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s eldest sister Rebbie has revealed that she helped raise her superstar brother.

When she was a teenager, her mother, Katherine, went back to school, leaving her — the oldest of the nine children — in charge of caring for the Jackson brood.

“I’m very much the big sister. I helped raise a lot of them. I took care of them and administered the disciplinary action,” the New York Post quoted Jackson as saying.

Rebbie revealed that memories of her role as caregiver in the family’s Gary, Ind., home came flooding back to her in the wake of the King of Pop’s death on June 25, 2009.

“When he passed, I thought about him the way he was as a kid,” she said.

She recalled the iconic star’s cherubic smile that first brightened stages as a member of the Jackson 5 and later as a solo artist.

After her brother overdosed on the powerful sedative Propofol, Rebbie, who lives with her husband, Nathaniel Brown, in Las Vegas, cancelled a string of performances.

She spent two and half months in California at her brother’s and mother’s estates, comforting her family and resumed her role as caregiver to Michael’s children, Prince, 13; Paris, 12; and Blanket, 8.

“I have to say, for a while, it was very difficult to listen to anything that Michael’s voice was on. That’s pretty tough to escape. Everywhere you go — food markets, departments stores, TV and radio — they are playing his music,” she said.

And now, almost after a year, Rebbie has said that she still wakes up in the middle of the night haunted by the circumstances surrounding his brother’s death.

His doctor, Conrad Murray, currently awaits trial on manslaughter charges for his role in administering the fatal narcotic and facilitating the legendary singer’s addiction.

“My brother had a problem with drugs, and he was in denial. There were many interventions by the family members, and I was involved in a lot of that. It was such a sad thing and it hurt so bad,” said Rebbie. (ANI)

MJ’s mum fumes over reports of interrupted CPR on dying son

New York, March 24 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine hit the roof after a report claimed the singer’s personal doctor interrupted CPR on her dying son and delayed calling 911 to stash drugs from paramedics.

Katherine, 79, is now demanding that the single charge of involuntary manslaughter against Dr. Conrad Murray be upgraded to that of a second degree murder following the new allegations.

“Mrs. Jackson never doubted that this man murdered her son, and these new revelations, if true, mean we need additional charges to fit the severity of his crimes,” the New York Daily News quoted her attorney Adam Streisand as saying.

“Second degree murder requires malice aforethought, which can be implied by the conduct of the defendant. The actions alleged suggest that Dr. Murray abandoned his duties as a physician or an ordinary human being to save himself rather than his patient,” he added.

Murray”s legal team has rejected the claims, arguing the leaked account by witness Alberto Alvarez, Jackson”s logistics director, was inconsistent.

Murray, has denied the charge and pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. He admitted administering Propofol to help Jackson sleep hours before his death but said he gave him nothing to cause his death.

Jackson died aged 50 on June 25 last year at his home in Los Angeles. Coroners ruled the case as homicide mainly caused by an overdose of the anesthetic Propofol.

The next hearing has been set for April 5. (ANI)

MJ’s mother wins will ruling

London, September 19 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine can challenge the administrators of the singer’s estate without any threat to her 40 per cent stake, a judge has ruled.

The 79-year-old’s legal team said that she wants to have more say over the manner in which the 400 million dollar estate is handled.

According to the ruling, the King of Pop’s mum will not breach a ‘no contest’ clause in the family trust if she sets up a challenge before the executors over Jackson’s will, reports the Sun.

Katherine is the legal guardian of the star’s children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, after his sudden death on June 25.

She will receive more than 1 million dollars a year from his estate including a sum of 26,804 dollars a month for herself apart from a monthly allowance of 60,000 dollars for the three kids, as per the court’s order. (ANI)

MJ finally buried to rest in peace

London, Sep 4 (ANI): King of Pop Michael Jackson was finally been buried at the Forest Lane cemetery in Los Angeles, while the world media covered a part of the final service.

Almost two-dozen cars with members of Jackson family inside entered the gates of the cemetery about an hour late than the scheduled time.

Hollywood celebritiesm including Dame Elizabeth Taylor, Macaulay Culkin and Jackson’s ex-wife Lisa-Marie Presley, were waiting inside the memorial park along with 200 guests on white wooden chairs arranged outside one of the many ornate buildings on this site.rogrammes containing pictures of Michael Jackson were being played, while the guests were fanning themselves in the night heat.

After the family arrived, the ‘Thriller’ star’s mother Katherine and father Joe sat down in the front row, while his three children sat between their grandparents and an upset Janet Jackson.amily members wore black armbands and his brothers stood at the front, ready to repeat their roles as pall-bearers.

They had walked beside their brother’s coffin at the memorial service in July and did the same at the burial.

And after everyone was seated, Jackson’s coffin was driven in by hearse, unloaded and wheeled into place.

His three children walked up to it and gave a brief farewell after which the media was asked to switch off the cameras for a private service as per the family’s request.

The service lasted around an hour and cars departed swiftly.

Earlier in the day, police had sealed off part of the area and even enforced a no-fly zone to keep news helicopters from buzzing overhead.

They had warned fans to stay away. (ANI)

MJ’s family invites ex wife Debbie Rowe to funeral

London, August 29 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s family has invited his former wife and mother of his two kids, Debbie Rowe, to attend his funeral.

Rowe, the biological mother of Jackson’s two elder kids Prince, 12, and Paris, 11, reportedly struck a 2-million-pound deal with the Jacksons, placing the children under the care of the singer’s mother Katherine.

It would be Rowe’s first supervised visit with the children since Jackson’s death if she decides to turn up at the private burial in Glendale, California, reports the Daily Express.

She was not present at the star’s public memorial service at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

The report comes as the Los Angeles County coroner ruled Jackson’s death as homicide stemming from “acute propofol intoxication”.

The findings could lead to criminal charges against the King of Pop’s personal physician, Dr Conrad Murray, who administered the powerful sedative and is at the centre of a manslaughter probe.

The coroner said the complete toxicology report remains sealed at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County District Attorney.

Detectives probing the circumstances leading to the death of the star, who died aged 50 on June 25 from a cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles mansion, have also quizzed other doctors who were treating him. (ANI)

MJ’s skin doctor admits he could be Prince, Paris’ dad

London, Aug 28 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s skin doctor has refused to undergo DNA test to confirm if he fathered the star’s two oldest kids, insisting he’s “well aware” he could be the dad.

Dr. Arnold Klein fuelled rumours he’s the biological father of Prince,12, and Paris, 11, when he appeared on TV in the aftermath of Jackson’s 25 June (09) death, and claimed he wasn’t their dad “to the best of my knowledge”.

Klein fuelled the rumours when he turned up unannounced at a guardianship hearing, where the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker’s mother Katherine was awarded custody of the kids.

Although he admitted he could well be the father, Klein says he has no interest in finding out for sure.

“There was a possibility that the two older kids could be biologically linked to Dr. Klein,” the Daily Express quoted Klein’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan as telling UsMagazine.com.

While talking about Klein’s appearance at the custody hearing, the attorney reveals, “Dr. Klein wanted to assert a request that he had concerns.

“He had an agreement with Michael Jackson that if anything happened to Michael Jackson… Dr. Klein would do what he could to see that they were protected.”

The lawyer reveals his client is refusing to undergo a DNA test, insisting Jackson was their true father, and he has no interest in challenging the court’s decision to grant Katherine Jackson custody.

“It would serve no helpful purpose for the children to be distracted from believing Michael Jackson is not the father in every possibility… It is not something Dr. Klein feels he is interested to establish,” said Kaplan.

“It would serve no purpose other than creating distraction or noise. It is not going to help the children, other than to solve the answered question, which is a selfish motive to see who the ultimate provider of the 13 chromosomes (is),” he added. (ANI)

Jackson family in court battle over will

Jackson family in court battle over willLos Angeles – Michael Jackson’s family was in court Monday as it sought to gain greater control over the late singer’s estate.

The court hearing was also expected to confirm a settlement that grants Jackson’s mother, Katherine, custody of Jackson’s three children, with Debbie Rowe, the mother of the two oldest kids, getting meaningful visitation rights.

Jackson left control of his estate in the hands of John Branca and lawyer John McClain, two music industry figures named in his 2002 will. But his 79-year-old mother is seeking to be named co-executor of the estate, and last week took on the executors asking for wide- ranging information about the estate, including details of his final contract with concert promoter AG for his 50-date comeback tour in London.

Jackson’s lawyer Londell McMillan also cast doubts on the legitimacy of the will, saying it was not notarized, and had not been revealed to the family until it filed a petition in court stating that Jackson died without a will.

McMillan also disputed estimates that the Jackson estate was worth 500 million dollars, saying that a more realistic value was 2 billion dollars.(dpa)

Jackson ‘to be buried wearing his signature white glove’

London, July 10 (ANI): It has emerged that late Michael Jackson will be wearing one of his signature white gloves when he is buried.

According to US celebrity website TMZ, the legend’s sister La Toya has picked a white leather glove embellished with Swarovski crystals, the Mirror reports.

Meanwhile, no confirmation has come regarding the whereabouts of Jackson’s body.

The celebrity website adds that it is not at the Forest Lawn crematorium in the Hollywood Hills as is being reported elsewhere.

It has been reported that Jackson’s brother Jermaine and his mother Katherine are at loggerheads about where the star should be cremated.

MJ’s body stored in LA crypt until family decides what to do with his remains

New York, July 10 (ANI): If reports are to be believed, late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s kin have stored his body in Motown maestro Berry Gordy’s crypt in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, until they sort out what to do with the superstar’s remains.

Sources have revealed that Jackson’s brother Jermaine and father Joseph are insistent the Gloved One be buried at Neverland Ranch so that the family can profit from a proposed Graceland-style museum there, a process that may take years.

“Jermaine is the one that wants him at Neverland-he and Joseph — because of the whole Elvis thing and the money potential. They are seeing dollar signs,” the New York Post quoted a family source as saying.

On the other hand, adds the source, Jackson’s mother Katherine and most of his siblings want that his body be laid to rest elsewhere out of respect for his wish, following his acquittal on child-molestation charges, to never return to Neverland.

The source says that her son’s physical purgatory has left Katherine shaken.

“She is still upset that Michael isn’t buried and he is at Gordy’s spot in Forest Lawn. This fighting has to stop. We can never unite, and that’s an injustice,” the source said.

The newspaper report suggests that the fight between the clan has become so contentious that Jermaine rode in a separate Rolls-Royce limousine to Jacko’s public memorial at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, even though his mother had wanted all the brothers to ride together.

Meanwhile, most of the kids and Katherine are said to be onboard with a proposed documentary about the family, which can earn them 20 million dollars.

“They’re doing this documentary because with the kids, they will get 20 million dollars,” the source said, adding that Katherine was pushing all her children to be a part of it. (ANI)

Jackson family split delays funeral

Los Angeles, July 10 (DPA) A family split over where to bury Michael Jackson is delaying the funeral of the late King of Pop who died two weeks ago, ABC News reported Thursday.
Mystery has surrounded burial plans since Jackson’s casket was whisked to a secret location following his globally televised memorial service Tuesday.

The ABC report said Jackson’s body was returned to the Forest Lawn memorial home while the family sorts out the burial imbroglio.

Jackson’s brothers are determined to get permission to bury him at his Neverland estate. But his mother, Katherine Jackson, wants to find an alternative resting place that honours Jackson’s wish made after he was acquitted of child molestation charges in 2005, never to return to his home.

Jackson’s brothers have already begun the lengthy process of obtaining permits to bury Jackson at Neverland, according to the report. But local officials said they have not had any contact with the Jackson family regarding the burial.

Jackson’s supporters meanwhile appear to have an uphill battle to get him declared an “American legend” in an official congressional resolution.

House Resolution 600 praises the work and life of Jackson, “honouring an American legend and musical icon” and was proposed by Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat from Los Angeles who also spoke at Jackson’s memorial.

But House speaker Nancy Pelosi condemned the idea, saying it would disrespect Jackson by raising the controversies that haunted his later life.

“Michael Jackson was a great, great performer,” Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference, explaining that a resolution would be a distraction and “would open up two contrary views” on Jackson’s life.

Pelosi was speaking just days after Representative Peter King, a Republican from Long Island, blasted the media coverage of Jackson and called the performer a “pervert” and a “paedophile”.

Now Michael Jackson’s second will emerges

Washington, July 7 (ANI): A second will inked by Michael Jackson, thought to be his final testament, is said to have emerged in Los Angeles.

The document was said to have been drawn up in 1997, five years before what is thought to be the star’s final will and testament.

In the will made on July 7, 2002, the King of Pop named the singer Diana Ross as the guardian of his children, should his 79-year-old mother Katherine be unable to care for them, reports Contactmusic.

He left his 303 million pound estate in a trust for his children and named three associates – attorney John Branca, veteran music executive John McClain and Barry Siegel – as the co-executors of the will.

Probate judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled that the singer’s 2002 will was valid, and that as the Thriller hitmaker’s had wished, Branca and MCClain would serve as executors of the late icon’s estate. (ANI)

Jacko’s exclusion of father from will is not snub, says Jermaine Jackson

Washington, Jul 4 (ANI): Late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s exclusion of his father from his will has not been seen as a snub by the singer’s brother Jermaine, who insists Joe will also benefit from the estate.

Jacko had drawn up a will in 2002 in which he left his entire estate to a family trust, comprising of his mother Katherine and his three children.

There was no mention his father, who Jackson claimed had physically abused him and his siblings as a child.

“Joe’s exclusion doesn’t bother me, because if my mother’s mentioned, my father’s fine,” Contactmusic quoted Jermaine as saying.

“I mean, if my mother’s fine, we’re all fine. But most important, it’s not about money. It’s not about property. We’re a family. We don’t let that get in the way. That’s not important to us. That’s not important,” he added.

Joe and Katherine Jackson wed in 1949 but have been separated for years. However, they never filed for divorce.

Joe lives in Las Vegas, while Katherine resides in the family compound in Encino, California. (ANI)

‘Jackson kids don’t think Debbie Rowe is their mother’

Washington, July 4 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s older children do not think Debbie Rowe is their real mother, according to the late singer’s former publicist.

Stuart Backerman, who worked for the star from 2002 to 2004, when Jackson faced child molestation allegations and the infamous baby-dangling incident, said that Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, were far from believing that former nurse Rowe was their biological parent.

“I’m not sure exactly who they think their mother is. That was never discussed [with me]. But I do know that they didn’t think Debbie Rowe was their mother. They were told Debbie was either a friend or a relative,” CBS News quoted Backerman as having told Early Show.

Celebrity Web site TMZ.com claims: “Rowe wasn’t the biological mother, and was implanted, and carried the babies to term.”

Jackson named his 79-year-old mother, Katherine, as the carer for his three children in his will, adding should his mother be unable to look after the kids, then Diana Ross, 65, his long-time friend and singing superstar, should be their guardian.

No provisions were made for Rowe in the documents.

When Rowe divorced Jackson in 1999, she accepted eight hours’ custody every 45 days but signed a deal two years later to give up all her visiting rights. In return, she was paid a multi-million dollar settlement.

She said that she was ready to undergo a DNA test to prove her biological claim to the older Jackson kids.

She also said that she wanted the custody of third Jackson kid, seven-year-old Blanket, who is not her child.

Speaking about a possible bitter PR battle between Rowe and the Jackson family over the custody of the kids, Backerman added: “I don’t really think that Debbie Rowe wants to stir the pot with this custody issue. I think it was Michael’s wish that his mother be the custodial parent, look after the children. And, because she cared for Michael very, very much and, as I said, came to his support on a number of occasions, I’d really be surprised if she stirred the pot here and created a real furor, because that furor would ultimately have an impact on the children, and I don’t think she wants to see that happen.” (ANI)

Jacko’s will names Diana Ross kids’ guardian

London, July 2 (ANI): Soul legend Diana Ross has been named the guardian of Michael Jackson’s children, if the late King of Pop’s mother is not able to look after them.

According to Jackson’s five-page will registered in Los Angeles County Superior Court, his 303 million pound estate was to be left in a trust for his kids, Prince Michael I, 12; Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, seven.

The documents said that the icon’s estate consisted almost entirely of “non-cash, non-liquid assets, including primarily an interest in a catalogue of music royalty rights which is currently being administered by Sony ATV, and the interests of various entities.”

Jackson’s mother, Katherine, 79, was named the carer for the three youngsters, while Ross, 65, his mentor, is to be their back up as a guardian, reports the Telegraph.

Three associates for the King of Pop, attorney John Branca, John McClain and Barry Siegel, were also named co-executors of the will.

The document further confirmed no provisions had been made for Jackson’s former wife Debbie Rowe.

The Jackson family have not announced any funeral plans yet, and are yet to reveal where the singer may be buried. (ANI)

Two court hearings on custody of Jacko’s kids set for July 6

Washington, July 1(ANI): Two court hearings for the custody of late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s kids have been scheduled for July 6.

According to U.S. TV news show Extra, Billie Jean Jackson, the woman who alleges that she’s the mother of Jackson’s youngest child Blanket, had filed for the joint and legal custody of the 7-year-old child in December last year.

She had also asked for 1 billion dollars in child support as well as the opportunity to participate in Blanket’s education and gain weekend visits to him.

Her case will be heard on the same day when Jackson’s mother Katherine fights for the permanent custody of Jackson’s three kids, Prince Michael Jr, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket.

Katherine has currently been given temporary custody of the kids, reports Contactmusic. (ANI)

Jacko’s father ‘not named in will’

London, June 30 (ANI): There is no mention of Michael Jackson’s father Joe in the late singer’s will, it has been reported.

The document drafted by the King of Pop in 2002 divides Jackson’s estate between his mother Katherine, his three children and one or more charities, reports the Telegraph.

It is said to have been written by John Branca, a prominent entertainment lawyer who was Jackson’s attorney from 1980 to 2006. Jackson had re-hired Branca shortly before his death.

Sources say the lawyer for the singer, who died last week at the age of 50, could submit the will to Los Angeles Superior Court later this week.

Jackson’s parents said this week in a court document that they believe their son died without a valid will.

However, they said: “It is possible that the court will have to review many wills and evaluate the competing claims of the presenters. Someone with legal authority needs to be in place now to properly protect the estate’s interests.”

A lawyer for his parents said they had not seen the 2002 will.

“We will review any will when we see it,” L Londell McMillan said.

Legal experts said any executor of Jackson’s estate appointed by him has 30 days to come forward to petition a court. (ANI)

Jacko’s mother gets temporary custody of his kids

New York, June 30 (ANI): Late singer Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine has been given temporary custody of his kids.

The 79-year-old won the temporary guardianship of his three children Prince 12, Paris, 11 and Blanket 7.

She has also asked the judge to appoint her administrator of his estate.

“This is where they belong. We are the parents,” the New York Daily News quoted Joe Jackson as saying.

“We love those kids, we are going to take care of them and give them the education they are supposed to have,” he added.

A hearing on whether the temporary guardianship should be made permanent will be held Aug. 3 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Katherine’s petition for guardianship of their estate of “unknown” value will also be on heard July 6.

“They have a long established relationship with paternal grandmother and are comfortable in her care,” the filing states.

The Jackson court papers say Michael died “intestate” – or without a will – and asked a judge to put Katherine Jackson in charge. (ANI)
