Kate Moss robbed of £80K Banksy portrait

London, May 21 (ANI): Super model Kate Moss has been robbed of a Banksy portrait worth 80,000 pounds along with other valuable artworks.

Moss, her partner Jamie Hince and mother Linda, were asleep when the burglars broke into the house.

It is believed that the robbery occurred around 4am on Thursday and the robbers may have escaped following disturbances when Moss or Hince woke up.

The police have arrested a 24-year-old man and are questioning him.

“Camden Police are investigating a burglary at Greville Road, NW6, from approximately 4.20am on Thursday, May 20,” The Telegraph quoted a police spokesman as saying.

“A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with it and inquiries are ongoing,” he added.

Moss recently spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on works by Banksy, the guerrilla artist, including a 12ft by 18ft mural of herself and several celebrity friends which she reportedly commissioned at a cost of 150,000 pounds. (ANI)

Casanova Russell Brand turns down sex – with Susan Boyle!

London, May 4 (ANI): In an atypical move, casanova Russell Brand declined the opportunity to have sex with one of the most searched women on You Tube – Susan Boyle.

Britain’s Got Talent’s star Susan, 48, had previously claimed she was a virgin and had never been kissed.

And lothario-comedian Brand, 33, who has previously confessed taking hundreds of girls to bed, said the singing sensation was better without him.

“I don’t think I should be the one to do that. Susan deserves a nice strapping farmer from the North,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

But Brand, whose past ladies have included model Kate Moss, actor Andrew Sach’s dancer granddaughter Georgina Baillie, said he loved listening to the church volunteer from Scotland.
He confessed he was “quite charmed” with her jaw-dropping performance of I Dreamed A Dream, from Les Miserables, on the talent show that had won her thousands of admirers all over the world.

He added: “It’s very moving to see latent talent realised.” (ANI)

Kate Moss to take part in exhibition of world’s muses

London, Feb 19 (ANI): English model Kate Moss will be taking part in an exhibition, which is exploring the role the fashion model plays as an artist’s muse.

The exhibition is taking place this spring at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and supermodels like Moss, Naomi Campbell and Twiggy will be a part of history’s great muses, reports the Guardian.

Thomas Campbell made the announcement in front of Peter Lindberg’s 1990 British Vogue cover portrait of Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatjana Patitz, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford.

Campbell was accompanied by Anna Wintour and Marc Jacobs, sponsor of the exhibition, who took to the podium to quote Yves Saint Laurent: “A good model can advance fashion by 10 years.”

Harold Koda, curator of the museum’s costume institute, said the exhibition would show “how the great iconic beauties represent the evolution of the feminine ideal” over the past five decades.

There will also be an exhibition with the theme, how during the 1960s and 1970s, “the emergence of clothes which for the first time do not have the refuge of structure and underpinning within them made the model wearing them suddenly very key”.

Moss has been praised by Jacobs as a “muse to a generation … she defines a time, a feeling, that has become part of history”.

The exhibition will open on May 6. (ANI)

Kate Moss snubs BAFTA over dress choice!

London, Feb 12 (ANI): English model Kate Moss’ absenteeism from the Baftas has been revealed to have been due by her inability to decide on which dress to wear to the event.

Moss was due to attend the event with her boyfriend Jamie Hince, but changed her mind at the last moment as according to her pals she was could not find a dress to shine out in.

“Kate’s friends were waiting for her to turn up, only to be told she’d settled into her favourite Sunday-night TV,” the Daily Express quoted a pal as saying.

“But then Kate had a change of heart and said she’d be on her way after she’d picked the right dress.

“Just when everyone thought she’d be joining them, Kate called back to say she’d changed her mind as she wasn’t happy with how she looked in anything. It’s quite incredible when you think how many fabulous outfits she must have,” the pal said.

It seems with the likes of Angelina Jolie and Kate Winslet present there, Moss, 35, wasn’t prepared to risk being upstaged on the night.

“With the likes of Angelina Jolie turning up, Kate knew she’d be alongside a long list of beautiful women in amazing outfits,” the pal stated.

“She wasn’t her usual confident self and eventually decided she’d prefer to give it a miss rather than risk looking very much second best.

“In the end she and Jamie just crawled into bed instead and had an early night,” the pal added. (ANI)
