MJ’s ‘Beat It’ lyrics to go under the hammer

London, May 19 (ANI): The handwritten lyrics to Michael Jackson”s ‘Beat It’ are to be auctioned in California next month (Jun10).

The late King of Pop gave his scribbled notes to a producer pal.

“This piece has been in private hands since being written. It”s an incredible piece from the legendary King of Pop and it”s in fine condition,” the Daily Express quoted Marc Kruskol, spokesman for auction house Profiles in History, as saying.

The lyrics by the late singer won”t be the only highlight of the memorabilia auction – the pink satin gown Marilyn Monroe donned in the Diamonds Are a Girl”s Best Friend sequence in the film ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ is sure to be the main lot. (ANI)

MJ’s doc unlikely to face trial for two years

London, May 16 (ANI): Michael Jackson”s doctor is unlikely to go before a jury over the singer’s death until 2012, it has been revealed.

Huge delays in preparing the case against Conrad Murray mean he probably will not face trial over the singer’s death for two years.

Ed Chernoff, Murray”s lawyer, is fuming ‘many pages’ of documents collected by Los Angeles police have not been handed to the defence even though Murray was charged in February.

Proceedings could be drawn out even longer over problems with choosing a jury.

Chernoff fears his client will not get a fair hearing in LA.

The doctor is next due in court on June 14, but his lawyer says he will push that hearing back to September.

“We are looking at the trial starting in about two years in September. We”ve got a huge load-3,500 pages-of evidence to go through. And we have witnesses to speak to all over the world who have had contact with Jackson over the years. To properly defend Conrad it”s gonna take time to get all of our stuff together,” News of the World quoted Murray”s spokesman as saying. (ANI)

‘Hacker stole and posted MJ kids’ videos on You Tube’

New York, May 16 (ANI): The videos of Michael Jackson’s children Blanket and Paris were stolen and posted by a hacker, the Jackson family has alleged.

Alejandra Jackson, ex-wife of Jermaine Jackson, said that case was “a terrible invasion of our family privacy.”

“My home computer was hacked into by an unknown source and this is currently under legal investigation,” the New York Daily News quoted Jackson as telling People magazine.

The videos also feature some of Alejandra’s own children too. She has three kids – Jermajesty, Jaafar, Donte, Genevieve and Randy, Jr – with Jermaine.

She added: “The people who have unlawfully released this material are trying to portray my kids as bad children.

“They are not. In these videos, they are simply playing and pretending, like all kids do. My children and I feel horrible about this and sincerely hope the hackers will be stopped.” (ANI)

Mum wants MJ’s autopsy photos kept private

London, May 14 (ANI): Late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine has expressed her fear that a series of graphic photos taken during the autopsy of the singer might be leaked to the public.

The images, which were detailed in the coroner’s report of the singer’s death, are in the possession of officials at the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.

According to the National Enquirer, Katherine, 80, fears the photos will fall into the wrong hands and end up on the Internet or splashed across publications around the world.

“There are genuine fears the pictures could be leaked or that computer hackers could get to them – and the LAPD and District Attorney’s office are taking extreme preventive measures to keep them secure,” the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

Katherine wants the pictures to be kept under wraps, as she believes the publication of the gruesome shots will be disrespectful to Michael’s memory and have a negative impact on his three young kids.

“Katherine says releasing the photos is morbid and disrespectful to Michael’s memory,” the source said.

“She’s still dealing with Michael’s death and she’s extremely worried about his kids seeing pictures of their dead father.

“Katherine said she hopes and prays that decency will prevail and no one will ever see these photographs,” the source added. (ANI)

Liz Taylor slams MJ doc for gay claim

New York, May 14 (ANI): Elizabeth Taylor blasted Michael Jackson’s doctor, Dr. Arnold Klein, via Twitter for claiming that the late singer had a gay affair.

Earlier this month, Dr. Klein, a longtime friend and physician to Jackson who also treats Taylor, told TMZ that his office manager, Jason Pfeiffer, had a two-month gay affair with the King of Pop, reports The New York Post.

“Dr. Arnie Klein declared on May 2 that he did not betray Michael Jackson by saying publicly that he had a homosexual relationship with someone in Arnie”s office,” Taylor tweeted. “It seems he supplies not only women (Debbie Rowe), but men too … how convenient.”

“Just what we want in our doctors. And then to say he did not betray Michael”s confidence. No wonder he has death threats,” Taylor continued.

“I thought doctors, like priests took an oath of confidentiality. May God have mercy on his soul.”

Klein said he made the gay affair announcement to put an end to rumors that Jackson was a pedophile. (ANI)

Clips featuring MJ kids surface on YouTube

New York, May 13 (ANI): Video clips of late singer Michael Jackson’s kids have surfaced on the web.

Until his death, the King of Pop had kept his children away from any sort of media attention.

However, now at least seven videos of Blanket and Paris have emerged on You Tube.

A source close to the Jackson family confirmed to E! that the clips are authentic.

One clips shows the youngest of the three, 8-year-old Blanket, dancing around with a friend flaunting his lightsaber skills.

Also, Jackson’s daughter Paris features in a couple of clips that were reportedly recorded from an iChat conversation via a Webcam.

The 12-year-old girl is seen saying, “Monkey, please help?,” reports the New York Daily News.

Tragic recordings expose MJ”s troubled mind

London, May 12 (ANI): A set of tapes has emerged in which Michael Jackson can be heard pleading for financial help.

What”s more, the tragic recordings revealed by The Sun, also reveal the late singer”s fears for his life.

The tapes were handed to US journalist Daphne Barak after she wrote a book on celebrity addiction.

Barak told The Sun: “Some of Michael”s closest confidents talked to me exclusively about his addictions – and provided audio tapes of Michael never heard before.

“These demonstrate different states of mind he was experiencing under the influence of pharmaceuticals.”

The messages date back to 2003. In February at that time, MJ was under fire after the Martin Bashir TV documentary exposed him for sharing his bed with kids.

In the first message he is determined to move away:

“It is Michael calling. It is very important, I want that 150 in that account for me, because… I am very concerned about my life. I am hearing a lot of stories that (name withheld) is still trying to sabotage (inaudible) me and I want to be in a different environment and, um, I”ve found a place that I like and now (inaudible) I want to be away for a while where they can”t find me. So please help me, help (inaudible) help me, and, um, more important than (inaudible). We are brothers.”

“We think the man”s bad. We think he is the Italian Mafia. I don”t trust him.”

In a second, his voice is slurred and slow, which Daphne believes is due to medication. He expresses concern about a figure who he says could be involved with the Italian Mafia.

“It is Michael. Ahh, it is 4:30 in the morning here that”s why I sound very sleepy (laughs) and I”m really worn out… but please check the message I left a day or so ago. I am very concerned. I don”t trust that man. We think he”s bad, we think he is Italian mafia. Please… we must be smarter than him. So please, help me with this. I need to get that, those funds so I can do that, I wanna be away. . . I don”t want to be in Neverland right now.”

In a separate message Jackson again seems to be seeking money urgently.

“If you get this message call me immediately at 805 *** ****. What I want to talk to you about is very top – top secret… I need a German or Swiss bank… ”

A little later Jackson calls again asking for cash to be put into an account. He appears to use a code word “Sun Screen” – possibly suggesting protection money.

“I need to get those funds. I wanna be away… I don”t wanna be in Neverland

“I am very embarrassed. But, um, there should be that I have some finance that”s coming up January, February 2nd, and um… that”s why I, we need to have on Sun Screen to the account 150. Please don”t be mad at me for… (inaudible) It”s something that”s very important to me and my family, because I”m (inaudible) that I”m being stalked and I think it is (name withheld).”

In one tape, the singer is at his most lucid.

Jackson urges his friend to work with him, saying: “I would love to work together, but as far as timing… The, uh, I really feel in my heart – we must move as fast as we can because the, on the film side of it, ah, I don”t know if you have been reading the paper… but Marvel already have sold off their internet rights and the fact that stock is so low now.

“They put out Spider-Man, now they got Incredible Hulk coming, they got X-Men 2 coming and they also got Spider-Man 2 coming. It is going to jump, it”s going to change! I mean, you know… and this huge frenzy for superheroes… and all the things we can do… I wanna get in before the stocks… we have to jump in now. The timing is perfect.” (ANI)

The defense team received only 3,500 pages of the document.

They may seek to delay the June 14 hearing if the rest of the document is not forthcoming.

Eldest sister says she helped raise Michael Jackson

New York, Apr 19 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s eldest sister Rebbie has revealed that she helped raise her superstar brother.

When she was a teenager, her mother, Katherine, went back to school, leaving her — the oldest of the nine children — in charge of caring for the Jackson brood.

“I’m very much the big sister. I helped raise a lot of them. I took care of them and administered the disciplinary action,” the New York Post quoted Jackson as saying.

Rebbie revealed that memories of her role as caregiver in the family’s Gary, Ind., home came flooding back to her in the wake of the King of Pop’s death on June 25, 2009.

“When he passed, I thought about him the way he was as a kid,” she said.

She recalled the iconic star’s cherubic smile that first brightened stages as a member of the Jackson 5 and later as a solo artist.

After her brother overdosed on the powerful sedative Propofol, Rebbie, who lives with her husband, Nathaniel Brown, in Las Vegas, cancelled a string of performances.

She spent two and half months in California at her brother’s and mother’s estates, comforting her family and resumed her role as caregiver to Michael’s children, Prince, 13; Paris, 12; and Blanket, 8.

“I have to say, for a while, it was very difficult to listen to anything that Michael’s voice was on. That’s pretty tough to escape. Everywhere you go — food markets, departments stores, TV and radio — they are playing his music,” she said.

And now, almost after a year, Rebbie has said that she still wakes up in the middle of the night haunted by the circumstances surrounding his brother’s death.

His doctor, Conrad Murray, currently awaits trial on manslaughter charges for his role in administering the fatal narcotic and facilitating the legendary singer’s addiction.

“My brother had a problem with drugs, and he was in denial. There were many interventions by the family members, and I was involved in a lot of that. It was such a sad thing and it hurt so bad,” said Rebbie. (ANI)

Gaudy Jacko portrait for sale

An over-the-top portrait of Michael Jackson is up for auction online.

The 127 by 102-centimetre painting by Aussie artist Brett-Livingstone Strong is being offered on eBay.

Titled The Book, it is reportedly the only painting for which the King of Pop posed. It depicts Jackson in a red velvet jacket, clutching a journal at his Neverland ranch.

“I’ve had it an awful long time,” said toy inventor Marty Abrams, who acquired the painting with partner John Gentilly in 1992 from Japanese businessman Hiromichi Saeki as payment on a debt owed to them.

“With the positive response to his music and the movie about him after his death, we thought it was a good time to sell it and for the world to see it.”

For over 17 years, Abrams kept the painting in storage in a New Jersey warehouse.

It was briefly on display at the Dancy-Power Automotive showroom in Harlem after Jackson’s death last June.

The painting, which also features the fairy character Tinkerbell hovering in the background, is currently hanging inside Abrams’s home in Kings Point, New York.

Abrams said the painting was appraised by Belgo Fine Art Appraisal and Restoration at $US5.3 million ($5.72 million) in 2000.

He hopes it will fetch more than $US3 million in the auction, which is scheduled to end April 17.
