VANCOUVER, BC, Jun 09 (MARKET WIRE) —
On June 29, 2010, Atria Books/Beyond Words, an imprint of Simon & Shuster
and the publishers of “The Secret,” will launch their newest author –
Jeffrey Armstrong — and his new book “Spiritual Teachings of the Avatar:
Ancient Wisdom for a New World,” www.beyondword.com/avatar, at the Unity
Church on Oak St at 7:00pm.
The Academy Award-winning film AVATAR brought into world prominence one
of the most important spiritual words of India, prompting audiences to
wonder, “What does avatar really mean?” Armstrong explains that though
the stories on which the Avatar teachings are based originated more than
5,000 years ago, they have reemerged in the modern world for good reason.
In “Spiritual Teachings of the Avatar,” Armstrong, a scholar and expert
in Eastern knowledge, shares the hidden messages of these historical
Avatars, which offer solutions we can use today to sustain our planet and
elevate our spiritual growth. “These Ultimate Avatars promoted the
sacredness of all life and the secrets of awakening all beings to their
full potential,” explains Armstrong.
The book includes 16 pages of four-color art by award-winning artist
Farel Dalrymple illustrating the two ancient epics Armstrong uses to
illuminate the adventures of the Avatar.
