Washington, Sept 18 (ANI): Amy Winehouse has dismissed rumours that she has reconciled with ex-hubby Blake Fielder-Civil by enjoying a date with former boyfriend Tyler James, it has emerged.

The Rehab singer dogged reports of secret meetings with Blake after she was seen stepping out in London with U.K. singer James – her former lover, reports Contactmusic.

The pair was spotted enjoying an intimate date at restaurant Pizza Express, before heading to the British capital’s Jazz After Dark venue.

A loved-up Winehouse even rebuffed a fan’s request for a kiss, telling the disappointed passerby, “Sorry, I’m with my boyfriend.”

The pair dated in 2003, and were labelmates at Island Records, until James was dropped in 2005. (ANI)

Now, unwed Malaysian couple to be whipped for trying to have car sex

Shah Alam (Malaysia), Sep. 18 (ANI): Following the whipping episode of the Malaysian model who was sentenced for drinking beer, an unmarried couple is now being subjected to the controversial canning sentence under the country’s Sharia law for trying to have sex.

Mohammad Shahrin Abd Majid, 29, and his lover Nadiah Najat Hussin, 24, pleaded guilty to attempting to have sex in a car, were fined 5,000 ringgits or 12 months’ jail and ordered to be caned six times each, the New Strait Times Online reports.

Both Shahrin and Nadiah have paid the fine. On Wednesday, the Sharia High Court of Shah Alam granted a stay on the caning pending an appeal following an application by the couple’s counsel.

The Court has also advised both accused to marry as soon as possible.

The couple had claimed that they were to be engaged soon, and scheduled to be married in February next year.

“You are still young… after Hari Raya seek consent from both your parents to marry,” he said.

Shahrin and Nadiah would be sent to prison in order to receive the caning if their appeal gets dismissed.

Earlier, former Malaysian model Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno hogged the international headlines when she was sentenced for canning under Sharia law for drinking beer at a nightclub. (ANI)

Washington, Sept 16 (ANI): Actor Mel Gibson’s pregnant girlfriend craves for ice cream and olives.

Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, who is due to give birth to the couple’s first baby in December, has revealed that she can’t stop eating sweet and salty foods.

“I’ve eaten a lot of ice cream. I eat ice cream and then I eat olives. It’s very strange,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Grigorieva, who has a 12-year-old son, Alexander, from a previous relationship is happy to reveal her cravings, however, remains mum on the sex of the baby.

MJ’s secret sister JohVonnie reveals her ‘snub’ pain

London, September 14 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s half-sister has revealed that the pop legend wasn’t warm to her when she met him during a family get together.

JohVonnie Jackson, whose mum was a lover of MJ’s dad Joe, is close to her father.

She claims that the Jacksons have shunned her for 35 years but was once invited to the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker’s Neverland ranch in 2003 when the clan got together.

Also, JohVonnie alleges that she wasn’t allowed to talk to either the late singer or her half-sister Janet when she attended their concerts.

“I feel rejected by some of my family. It’s upsetting and hurtful,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.

Referring to her meeting with the late singer she said: “It was a big moment for me. But Michael was looking at me and seemed cold. He just said, ‘Hi’ and then he saw my daughter Yasmine and was fascinated with her.”

Jackson made a mistake pronouncing her niece’s name and called her ‘Jasmine,’ which JohVonnie corrected.

She recollected: “He said, ‘OK, Yasmine with a Y’, and that was it. He never acknowledged that I was his sister, there was no hug or kiss, not even a handshake. No physical contact at all.

“I wanted to embrace him. I thought he would want to go some place quiet and sit and talk with me and ask me about my life and get to know me a little better.

“It was very hurtful. He was not interested at all.

“With my daughter he was totally different. She got hugs and kisses, everything I didn’t get. I was a little jealous. But there was a bunch of people there and I never did get a chance to speak to Michael properly. Again, there was this theme that I felt shut out.”

Apparently, JohVonnie spent that night at a nearby hotel and returned to Neverland the next day but she didn’t get to see her iconic half-brother.

She said: “Michael was in the main house. Yasmine and Paris were off playing for hours. Paris is such a sweet girl.”

Though she said she talked to brother Jermaine and sister Rebbie but insists: “None of my other siblings acknowledged me much.” (ANI)

Lover of collapsed MG Rover director paid 1.7-mn pounds for a year’s work

London, Sep 12 (ANI): MG Rover’s director paid his lover 1.7 million pounds for a year’s work, according to a report on the collapse of the car manufacturing giant.

In May 2000, the Phoenix consortium-John Towers, Nick Stephenson, Peter Beale and John Edwards-acquired the business for a nominal 10 pounds from BMW.

BMW ensured that MG Rover could survive for a few years. But from the outset, it was clear that it had no long-term future unless it could find a substantial business partner within the motor industry.

The report into the demise of the giant compiled by Gervase MacGregor, a partner at the accountants BDO Stoy Hayward, and the barrister Guy Newey QC condemns the consortium which made a fortune out of the collapsed car maker, The Independent reports.

They reported that the four directors supplied inaccurate and misleading information about Rover’s finances to MPs, and singled out evidence Beale gave to the Commons trade and industry select committee.

They expressed concern over the plainly excessive fee of almost 1.7 million pounds paid to Dr Qu Li for advice she gave the Phoenix management about potential business partners in China.

For some of the time Dr Li was paid by Rover, she and Stephenson were having an affair. The report protested about the poor “corporate governance” of the Phoenix team: some board members were not invited to several board meetings and inaccurate minutes were taken of discussions.

Despite the failure of MG Rover between 2000 and 2005, the Phoenix Four continued to pay themselves generously right up to the group’s demise in 2005.

Towers, who led the buyout, was paid 8.96 million pounds, Stephenson 8.98 million pounds and Edwards received 9.02 million pounds. Beale, who is accused of misleading the parliamentary inquiry into the company’s collapse, was paid 8.98 million pounds over the four years, while Howe pocketed 5.71 million pounds.

The report cleared ministers of blame for MG Rover’s demise. (ANI)

Amritsar, Sep.11 (ANI): Defying her age, octogenarian Phulan Rani today stands as a tall figure that inspires the youth by her love for painting and deep urge to give creative expressions to her thoughts and observations of the world around her.

A resident of Amritsar, Phulan Rani works in both oils and water colour and paints realistic landscapes and portraits of local leaders.

“I was born on Dec 12, 1923 and have seen various ups and downs during my life span. I have been inspired to paint from all good things in life and the thoughts and the preaching of the gurus that I have heard,” said Phulan Rani, the painter. She is a nature lover by heart.

“Nature is like an open book as we can see many beautiful things through it. Like honeybees collecting nectar from the flowers and then constructing hives. It inspires an artist to paint. The inspiration also comes from beautiful faces, flowers, landscapes and the teachings of the gurus,” she says.

Phulan Rani is full of pride when she realizes how her work has reached in different parts of the world.

“A person can be successful in any sort of work if he or she gets full support from his life partner and children. You can imagine the work done by me through the paintings hanging on the walls of my house. I have sold a number of paintings, but I had enough time to paint replicas of those sold paintings to keep at home. My paintings have reached across the world,” says Phulan.

New Delhi, September 11 (ANI): A man begged cops at the Beijing airport to stop his ladylove from boarding a flight to Shanghai, after they had a terrible quarrel.

The police officers helped the two lovers reconcile, and they are about to get married soon.

After the couple’s fight, the woman headed straight for the airport to catch a plane to her hometown, reports the China Daily.

Her lover followed her to the airport, and requested the police officers to stop her so that he could talk to her.

The cops’ help led to a brief conversation between the lovers, after which they came out of the airport, and shared a taxi back home. (ANI)

Older Oz women going online to meet new sexual partners

Sydney, Sept 7 (ANI): Women aged 40 and above are just as likely as younger women to meet new sexual partners on the internet, according to a new Australian survey.

Nearly 45 per cent of the middle aged women agreed to snaring at least one new lover in a year.

According to study leader Deborah Bateson, a senior medical coordinator at Family Planning NSW, the internet “seems to be a very useful place for them … It’s great that older women are out there meeting new partners.”

She conducted the research to see whether 40-pluses were able to negotiate safe sex as effectively as their younger counterparts.

“Three-quarters [of sexually transmitted infections] are detected in people aged under 29, but there’s also an increase in women aged 40 and above … entering or re-entering the dating market, perhaps after the end of a long-term relationship,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Bateson as saying.

For the survey, an online dating site RSVP, owned by the Herald’s publisher, Fairfax Media, sent an email to female participants, directing them to Bateson’s survey site.

The findings revealed that older women were more forthright in insisting on knowing a new partner’s sexual history.

Nearly 59 per cent of the over-40s would ask about previous partners, versus 43 per cent of the younger women, with a similar discrepancy in willingness to ask about intravenous drug use.

“The older women seemed to benefit from the maturity of years and asked those potentially tricky questions,” said Bateson.

However, 37 per cent of the older women were more likely to agree to sex without a condom, compared to 28 per cent of younger women.

The findings were presented at 2009 Australasian Sexual Health Conference in Brisbane. (ANI)

Jordan furious with Alex Reid for lying about sex film

London, Sep 7 (ANI): Former model Katie Price, a.k.a. Jordan, reportedly got furious when she came to know about her lover Alex Reid’s involvement in a sex film, which shows him naked in a rape scene.

Before the new nude footage emerged, the 31-year-old had publicly defended her boyfriend from porn allegations by saying that he did not strip for the ultra-violent flick ‘Killer Bitch’.

However, Jordan was left red-faced when Reid showed her a censored version of the film, cutting out his X-rated bits..

According to reports, the film almost cost Reid his love.

“She believed everything he said and stood by him, but has been left looking like a total mug. This will leave their relationship in turmoil.

“Kate was all business at Burghley but is set to haul him over the coals for humiliating her once she gets him alone.

“Alex let her make a fool of herself on national TV and it’s touch and go whether she’ll be able to forgive him.

Jaswant’s book on Jinnah selling like hot cakes in Pakistan

Islamabad, Sep 1 (ANI): Expelled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaswant Singh’s controversial book, Jinnah: India, Partition-Independence, which has created a furore in India, is selling like hot cakes in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

The twin-city booksellers had imported more than 3,000 copies on Saturday and sold them out by Monday morning.

Not only intellectuals, but people from different strata of society have also shown interest in the book, in which Singh has praised Jinnah and described him as a leader who had strong faith in united India, while blaming Sardar Patel for the partition in 1947.

The book has created furore in India, as the author has been expelled from his party BJP and reviled as a ‘Jinnah Lover’.

“I have never seen such a response to any author in about 30 years of being in the book selling business,” a shopkeeper in Rawalpindi told Online.

“My basic purpose of buying this book is just to know what compelled the BJP to expel one of its senior leaders having a long association with the party,” said a reader.

The sale of the book is good; in fact it is better than that of any other book at the moment,” said another Islamabad-based bookseller.

Earlier, a famous book store in Lahore sold 100 copies of the book in a single day which indicates how eager the Pakistanis are to know the reason what prompted the BJP to expel the former Foreign Minister and end his 30 year long association with the party.

“We had received 100 copies on last Wednesday. All the copies were sold out the same day. Now we expect more copies on Saturday,” said Rana Saeed, the owner of the shop.

Excited by the response the book has received, its publishers are already considering to bring out an Urdu version of the book.

Jaswant Singh was expected to visit Pakistan to launch the book, but his son Manvendra Singh said his father has not applied for a visa, and as far as he knew. (ANI)

According to sources, the actor has asked his lover to move into his main home Studio City pad in LA.

Ronson is leaving her swanky property due to constant paparazzi attention.

Ashes hero Trott is also a diehard Hotspur fan!

London, Aug.26 (ANI): The signed England shirt and cricket stump will not be the only mementoes on the walls of Jonathan Trott’s Birmingham home.They will be given equal billing alongside his other most-prized sporting possession, his autographed Tottenham top from manager Harry Redknapp.

Trott, whose brilliantly assured second-innings century on his Test debut helped lay the foundations for the triumph, is not just a cricket lover – he’s a Spurs nut.

And he was gobsmacked that Redknapp, boss of the current Premier League leaders, sent him a shirt as a wedding present when he tied the knot with Abi in April.

Trott said: “The shirt says ‘To Trotty, Up the Spurs, Harry Redknapp’. Then there’s a card from him which says ‘To Trotty. Have a Great Day’.

“I love Spurs, I’m a massive fan and it would be fantastic if they could get into the Champions League to go with us winning The Ashes.

“Even during the Test on Sunday, I caught the TV at lunchtime and checked on the Spurs line-up for the game against West Ham, just to make sure Harry got it right. I wanted to know the final score while I was fielding but I never did and only found out after we had won The Ashes.”

Trott now looks a certainty to make England’s tour to South Africa having proved how cool he is under pressure – despite Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting’s claim he could crumble.

His Spurs allegiance was passed on from his English-born dad Ian and, growing up in Cape Town, he never missed coverage of them.

“I had loads of pictures on my wall and I’ve got tons of old Spurs shirts. I used to walk round with ‘Sheringham’ on my back. The first time I saw Spurs live was at Birmingham in 2003. I was in the Spurs end, we lost 1-0 to David Dunn penalty.

Despite being born and schooled in South Africa, Trott considers himself a proper Englishman.

He added: “I had a British passport from birth and can remember travelling to England in 1996 with the South African Under-15 side.

“Everyone else needed a visa and I just walked straight in. Mind you, I had more trouble getting back into South Africa than anyone else.

“My dad was born in England, my parents live in Surrey and my uncle and granddad live in Kent.

“I didn’t come here as a young guy just to try and take the cash back to South Africa. My home is in Birmingham, I’m an adopted Brummie and I’m very proud.”

Trott’s favourite memory of the triumph is not actually his ton.

He added: “For the rest of my life I’ll remember fielding at deep point to Michael Hussey when he hit it to Andrew Flintoff.

“I had a perfect view. Freddie’s direct hit was phenomenal and to run out Ricky Ponting was the defining moment of the game.” (ANI)

Man who attempted murder of West Ham star is his sister’s lover

London, Aug. 24 (ANI): A man who allegedly tried to murder West Ham footballer Calum Davenport is said to be his sister’s boyfriend.

The West Ham defender, 26, was stabbed in both legs early on Saturday at his mother’s house in Bedford.

Davenport and his mother were said to be in a “serious condition” in hospital.

Bedford Police arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder in Derby on Saturday.

According to The Sun, the suspect is the boyfriend of Calum’s sister Cara – said to be five months pregnant with the alleged attacker’s child.

Cara, 28, has been going out with him for about a year.

The attack reportedly came after a “blazing row” in which Calum told Cara that he was concerned about the company she kept.

“Cara’s boyfriend knew Calum would be at his mum’s house so he went round there.There was a row which then spilled on to the drive and down the street and Calum was stabbed. It was a mess,” the paper quoted a friend, as saying. (ANI)

Jordan’s cage fighter lover declares love for her

London, Aug 22 (ANI): Katie Price a.k.a Jordan’s cage fighter lover Alex Reid has for the first time publicly declared that he loves the glamour model.

Reid, 34, was acting as ring announcer at a boxing event when Jordan entered the ring to present a belt.

He gazed into her eyes and gushed: “I love you, lady.”

However, the fans at Hove Town Hall, East Sussex, started laughing.

“You could tell he was clearly upset by the crowd’s reaction,” the Sun quoted an onlooker as saying. (ANI)

Barbra Streisand’s ex to auction tapes of her earliest performances

New York, Aug 22 (ANI): Singer Barbra Streisand’s ex-boyfriend will soon have three recordings of her earliest performances auctioned.

Barry Dennen, who claims to have convinced her to become a singer, had made the tapes almost 50 years ago.

It includes the actress singing “A Taste of Honey” and “Two Brothers” in Dennen’s apartment, with him accompanying on guitar.

There’s also a Sept. 17, 1960, rehearsal at the Bon Soir nightclub, where Streisand sang “Keepin’ Out of Mischief Now,” “A Sleepin’ Bee,” “I Want To Be Bad,” “When Sunny Gets Blue,” “Lover Come Back to Me,” “Nobody’s Heart” and “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?”

He will now be selling it, with bids starting at 1 million dollars.

“I’m a little trepidatious. I don’t know what the fallout will be. I don’t like upsetting Barbra, and I don’t want her fans angry at me,” the New York Post quoted him as saying.

Dennen revealed that he first met Streisand in 1959 as castmates in a Broadway play, “The Insect Comedy.”

Soon they began dating and started living together at Ninth Street and Sixth Avenue in California.

Barry mentioned that Barbra had asked him for the tapes in 1965 as they had broken up but he had refused to give it to her.

He recollected: “I said ‘No. They are the only thing I have left of our collaboration.’ ”

The auction will happen on Web site, MomentsInTime.com

Meanwhile, Streisand reps said: “Our lawyers are dealing with this.” (ANI)

The 29-year-old has been vacationing with rugby union footballer boyfriend Danny Cipriani.

Her eight-year junior lover purportedly lured the beauty into the pool before getting close and personal with her, reports the Sun.

Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Kelly recently revealed her secret to keep their passion alive between the two.
