Amelle Berrabah ‘quits’ Sugababes

London, September 19 (ANI): Singer Amelle Berrabah has quit the all-girl band Sugababes, it has emerged.

The beauty was apparently unhappy after a row with bandmate Keisha Buchanan.

“Amelle has been desperately unhappy for a while. She was going to try and resolve things, but it must have got too much for her. They haven’t been able to overcome their row,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

Last week her family had even called cops fearing that she was kidnapped when she locked herself away in her North London home after the argument with Keisha.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen is reportedly set to replace Amelle.

The insider revealed: “Jade is ready to replace Amelle. She is going to be shooting a video with them in Los Angeles on Monday.” (ANI)

Sugababes blast split rumors

London, Mar 10 (ANI): Brit girl band Sugababes have rebuffed claims stating that the band is on the verge of splitting.

The band, which has gone through several line-up changes in recent years, replacing founding members Siobhan Donaghy and Mutya Buena, confirmed that they are very much together.

The band including Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range, and Amelle Berrabah, are currently thrilled about the release of their latest record, 2008′s Catfights and Spotlights.

“It’s complete rubbish that the Sugababes are splitting up. Things are going great – they have a jam-packed diary for 2009,” The Daily Star quoted the band’s spokesman, as telling Brit tabloid The Mirror.

The band’s spokesman also stated that the band is looking forward to making a 7th studio album. (ANI)

Sugababes may not get back together ever

London, March 8 (ANI): BRIT Award-winning pop band Sugababes may no longer harbour plans of getting back together ever.

Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah were said to have given up on the group after their last album, ‘Catfights And Spotlights’, managed to sell only around 100,000 copies.

The group, who has 16 Top Tens and seven Brit Award nominations to their credit, however, reportedly wanted to bid a final goodbye to their fans.

“They haven’t ruled out getting back together in a year but they’re officially on an indefinite extended break,” News of the World quoted a source as saying.

“. . .They want to say goodbye to their loyal fans with a farewell tour,” the source added. (ANI)
