Madonna joins Israeli PM for Jewish Sabbath celebrations

Washington, September 5 (ANI): Madonna reportedly joined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his family to celebrate the Jewish Sabbath.

The Queen of Pop, who arrived in the country for two concerts as part of her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour, purportedly witnessed the traditional Friday evening ritual with the leader.

The singer was said to have spent two hours at the politician’s home, lighting candles and delivering blessings, reports Contactmusic.

Madonna apparently shares a special bond with the Jewish state as she’s a devout follower of Jewish mysticism Kabbalah.

She was previously reported to have taken on a Hebrew name, Esther, and made private pilgrimages in 2004 and 2007. (ANI)

Madonna holds daily Kabbalah sessions with kids

London, July 12 (ANI): Queen of Pop Madonna is said to be holding daily Kabbalah sessions with her kids.

Madge, 50, asks her children how they have been behaving, and then weighs up all the evidence before dishing out her own form of “judgements”.

Based on a doctrine called Spirituality for Kids, devised by her pal Karen Berg, it’s meant to instil discipline into the home.

“Madonna firmly believes children are answerable for their behaviour and everyday actions,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

“David Banda and Mercy, guided by Lourdes or Madonna, stand about a desk in her office, discussing what they did during the day, and whether they’ve been good or bad.

“Madonna, acting as judge, gives her feedback and if the youngsters lose their tempers, they have to pause, and suggest better ways they could have behaved.

“Madonna is basically trying to establish a code of behaviour in the house according to Kabbalah principles.

“She wants the children to think about Kabbalah throughout the day – not just at the family court. It’s a real hit with the kids – they actually enjoy it.

“It’s based on the principle that if you do good deeds, good things will come to you, and if you do bad things then bad things will happen,” the source added. (ANI)

Madge ‘snubbed 12 Malawi orphans to adopt Mercy’

London, June 28 (ANI): Just a little more than two weeks after being granted the right to take home Mercy James, Madonna has come under fire for ignoring 12 needy orphans so that she could adopt two Malawian kids she really wanted.

Apparently, the 50-year-old – now mum to David Banda, three, and four-year-old Mercy James – was asked to chose from a dozen children who had been chosen for her by the Malawian government.

However, a Channel 4 documentary has claimed that she chose David and Mercy instead despite them having families, reports The News of the World.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the pop diva has got Mercy converted to Kabbalah.

She was able to adopt Mercy earlier this month after successfully appealing a court ruling which refused her bid. (ANI)

London, June 23 (ANI): Madonna is reportedly planning a holiday trip to Jerusalem to introduce her newly adopted daughter Mercy James to the Jewish mysticism Kabbalah.

The singer is allegedly looking to show the Wailing Wall to adopted son David Banda and his new sister on the latter’s first holiday.

Madonna, who has been a devout follower of the faith for the past ten years, was said to be planning the trip to coincide with her final date on her Sticky And Sweet world tour.

“Madonna wants to give Mercy enough time to settle in to her new home. By September she feels she will be ready to take the trip without danger of upheaval,” The Sun quoted a source as saying.

Madge ‘flies Mercy straight to Kabbalah meeting’

London, June 21 (ANI): Madonna’s new adopted daughter Mercy was reportedly flown 6,000 miles from Malawi to meet her new family in London and taken straight to a Kabbalah meeting.

The three-year-old was allegedly whisked to the Kabbalah centre for her first lesson in the controversial Jewish mysticism within hours of arriving.

Little Mercy along with her new mum and siblings Lourdes, 12, Rocco, eight and David, three, was said to have spent an hour at the meeting before heading for the Queen of Pop’s 15-million pound home in Mayfair.

And the reported move to deny Mercy the chance to settle into her new life immediately after her arrival has sparked criticism.

“Taking her to a Kabbalah meeting will be a complete culture shock. She should be kept safe from experiences in the spotlight that will not help with her development,” The Mirror quoted Child psychologist Katherine Fingleton as saying.

Mercy was jetted out of the poverty-stricken southern African country after Madonna won custody of the child two weeks ago.

The singer was previously denied the right to adopt the Malawian tot since she was not a resident of the state.

But the decision was overturned by Malawi Supreme Court, saying that the child, who had been living in an orphanage, would have a better life with the megastar.

Madonna first spotted the youngster at an orphanage during her first visit to Malawi three years ago but chose to adopt David Banda instead after Mercy’s grandmother refused to let her go. (ANI)

Washington, May 26 (ANI): Rumours of Madonna and her alleged toyboy Jesus Luz set to tie the knot have fallen flat after the Brazilian model tagged the singer “nothing but a friend”.

The two first met in December last year at a photoshoot for W magazine, which depicted them in a string of provocative snaps, just days before the Queen of Pop put an official seal on her divorce with Guy Ritchie.

The pair had since then been photographed hopping the world, sparking romance rumours and a wedding in a Kabbalah commitment ceremony.

But the 22-year-old has now blasted the claims, insisting the 50-year-old superstar is just a friend whom he admires.

“She is someone I truly admire, a friend who is in my life, who I have worked with, and who I keep in touch with,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying on Brazilian TV show Fantastico.

“I can’t say anything else besides that. She is a friend, and nothing but a friend,” he added.

Luz further said he was least bothered about being tagged as the diva’s toyboy.

New York, May 18 (ANI): Madonna apparently has Kabblah to thank for finding her Brazilian toyboy Jesus Luz, who was already a follower of the Jewish mysticism before the two of them got together.

The 50-year-old megastar and her 22-year-old beau, both devoted Kabbalists, were said to have become close after finding they shared a common faith.

“When she found out he was into Kabbalah, they really started to hit it off,” the New York Post quoted Leonardo Reis, manager of the Kabbalah Center in Rio de Janeiro, as saying.

He added: “All I can say to you is that Madonna is really, really happy with Jesus.”

Reis revealed that a special Shabbat dinner had been organised for the pair and their pals after they met at a photo shoot last December.

And now, the couple allegedly attend services at the Kabbalah Centre in Midtown every Saturday morning.

The duo was earlier reported to be planning a wedding in a Kabbalah commitment ceremony, but the Material Girl’s publicist blasted the claims at the time.

London, May 10 (ANI): Queen of Pop Madonna and lover Jesus Luz are reportedly planning a “commitment ceremony” in front of a rabbi at the Kabbalah Centre in Manhattan.

According to pals, the 50-year-old and Luz decided they wanted to take a new step in their relationship after her bid to adopt a Malawi orphan failed.

The 22-year-old model has already converted from Catholicism to the Kabbalah religion as a mark of his commitment to the singer.

At the beginning of this year Luz was spotted joining Madonna at the Kabbalah centre with her daughter Lourdes and David Banda, her adopted son from Malawi, reports The Mirror.

He was also Madonna’s escort at a major fashion show in New York last week.

A source said: “They are totally besotted with each other and he’s really helped Madonna through this tough time.

London, Apr 19 (ANI): Amid recent rumors that Madonna had turned to toyboy Jesus Luz for comfort following her failed adoption bid, fresh reports have emerged claiming that the two are no longer an item.

And the person to be blamed for the split is a Jewish millionaire businessman Abraham Moses Schimmel.

Apparently, the 50-year-old singer enjoyed a string of secret dates in London last week with Moses.

London, Apr 17 (ANI): Frail Madonna has turned to on-off boyfriend Jesus Luz for comfort following her failed adoption bid, it has emerged.

The 50-year-old pop queen was devastated after her application to take home four-year-old Mercy James was rejected in Malawi two weeks ago.

The dismissal hit her so hard that she was said to be struggling to eat and keep up with her gruelling exercise and fitness regime. Infact, she reportedly sobbed at a dinner with Kabbalah pals, reports The Daily Star.

But she perked up no end when reunited with toyboy Brazilian model Jesus, 22, in New York. It was thought their split could assist her bid to adopt Mercy after she was told her “moral standing” would be assessed.

Madonna has stopped eating, exercising after adoption-rejection

New Delhi, Apr 17 (ANI): Madonna is so depressed after the rejection of her plea to adopt four-year-old Mercy James from Malawi that she has stopped eating and exercising.

According to reports, the singer’s friends are worried over her condition following the adoption-rejection by a Malawi court, reports The China Daily.

“She has abandoned her strict macrobiotic diet and is virtually eating nothing. She has even stopped training since she returned from Malawi and seems to be in a trance a lot of the time,” a source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper.

Madonna, who is a follower of Kabbalah, has allegedly lost 5 lbs after the court ruling, and has struggled to keep her emotions in check while in public.

The source added: “Madonna attended a Passover dinner in London held by members of her Kabbalah faith and broke down in tears about Mercy. She looked wiped out, telling guests she felt weak from lack of sleep and exercise. She said she felt too low to train which, for her, is unheard of.”

The Material Girl, who recently got divorced from film director Guy Ritchie, travelled to the African country in the hope of giving a home to Mercy at the end of March.

However, her application was rejected because she had not lived in Malawi for 18 months, which is a pre-requisite by law.

Now, the 50-year-old pop star is filing an appeal against the court’s decision, so that Mercy could join her other children – Lourdes, 12, Rocco, eight, and David Banda, three – who she also adopted from Malawi. (ANI)

London, Apr 8 (ANI): After the rejection of her application to adopt Mercy, a three-year-old Malawian orphan girl, pop queen Madonna is planning to “share her pain” over Passover this week with fellow Kabbalah devotees.

The ‘Material Girl’ was forced to return to Britain without Mercy after a Malawian judge’s ruling.

“She will be speaking about her pain at the meetings she attends where everyone’s expected to share each other’s emotions,’ the Daily Express quoted a pal as saying.

The friend added: “It’s a cathartic process and Madonna finds it very healing.”

Madonna’s millions raised from Malawi fundraiser go ‘missing’

Washington, April 1 (ANI): Millions of dollars raised from Madonna’s Malawi fundraiser last year have no address, it has emerged.

According to Fox News, the estimated 3.7 million dollars remain unaccountable after repeated inquiries to The Gucci Foundation and the singer’s Raising Malawi charity.

The Queen of Pop had previously urged her fellow celebrities to donate for the cause, which is backed by Jewish mysticism Kabbalah and dedicated to helping Malawi’s one million poverty-stricken orphans.

The US-based channel claimed that fourteen months ago the entire event was alleged to have been underwritten and the amount divided between Raising Malawi and UNICEF.

But, both the Gucci Foundation and Madonna’s non-profit organisation were yet to file a Form 990 tax statement, leaving room for suspicion, according to the channel.

The development comes at a time when the megastar is back in the African country for a second adoption.

The 50-year-old, who adopted three-year-old David Banda from the region, recently pleaded to Lilongwe’s High Court to let her take home four-year-old Mercy James, whose teenage mother had died three years ago.

She will next appear in court for the ongoing adoption process on April 3. (ANI)

London, Mar 15 (ANI): Madonna’s new boyfriend Jesus Luz has moved in with her in New York – just three months after their first meeting.

Apparently, the hunky model has ditched his modelling agency in Rio de Janeiro and signed with elite agency Ford Models in the Big Apple.

And he’s set up home with the star in her Upper West Side apartment.

According to reports, the 50-year-old Queen of Pop has been cooking meals for her young boyfriend most evenings.

The 50-year-old singer reportedly began dating the Luz, 22, earlier this year (09) following her split from moviemaker Guy Ritchie, reports the Sun.

And now the singer has fuelled rumours they are a couple, after she was spotted taking Luz – 28 years her junior – and her kids Lourdes, David Banda and Rocco to a meeting at the New York base of the religion.

Madonna has previously been linked to baseball star Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez.

Recently, it emerged that Ritchie calls ex-wife Madonna ‘IT’.

According to friends, the British director started making jibes at the ‘Material Girl’ hitmaker even before their divorce. (ANI)

Madge, Ritchie’s divorce battle to be made public

London, Feb 20 (ANI): The details of queen of pop Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s much-hyped divorce battle will be made public as they prepare to fight it out in a US court.

As the Material Girl plans a permanent move to the US, she wants the UK deal to be transferred to the States. Unlike Britain, family hearings are open to the public in America.

Madge apparently wants her two sons Rocco, eight, and David, three, to follow her Kabbalah faith, a form of Jewish spiritualism and insists they eat kosher food and worship at synagogues on Fridays and Saturdays.

The court case will take place in New York.

“There is going to be a hearing next month and the papers that have been filed will be available then,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

“The New York hearing will confirm the English proceedings. There will be revelations, but the divorce remains amicable and intelligently handled,” the source added.

The couple have kept most of the details of their divorce secret since breaking up last year.

It has also been said that Ritchie has landed a settlement worth 45million pounds, a British legal record for the amount a woman has given a husband. (ANI)

London, Feb 16 (ANI): Queen of pop Madonna’s relationship with Brazilian male model Jesus Luz is nothing but a publicity stunt, according to pals.

Sources say that the 50-year-old singer is using one of her typical publicity tricks to drum up interest in her tour.

“It’s a classic Madge publicity stunt but suits both parties well,” the New Daily News quoted a source, as saying.

“Despite her advancing years, she looks like she’s still got what it takes to pull a 22-year-old.And Jesus is getting a boost of publicity as well. Everyone’s a winner,” the source added.

The ‘Material Girl’ hitmaker also took him to the Kabbalah centre in New York at the weekend with children Lourdes and David Banda.

“Guy saw the pictures of her and Jesus together and laughed out loud. He sees it as another publicity exercise,” the source said.

“Taking Jesus to Kaballah is a masterstroke as she always historically introduces her lovers to the religion.

“It’s just Madonna for you. She loves being the centre of attention. You would have thought she’d grown tired of it by now,” the source added. (ANI)

The rumours were sparked after she attended a New York screening of her new movie ‘Two Lovers’ on February 11, wearing a red string bracelet on her wrist.

Kabbalah texts cite that the bracelets protect wearers from negative forces and the “Evil Eye,” reports Contactmusic.

The ‘Shakespeare in Love’ star has been spending a lot of time with Madonna, since the ‘Material Girl’ parted ways from husband Guy Ritchie.

In fact, the duo’s partying antics have even raised question marks about Paltrow’s marriage to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin.
