MJ’s dad to file wrongful death suit against Conrad Murray

London, Mar 25 (ANI): Michael Jackson”s father is planning to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the King of Pop”s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray.

It is alleged that Murray administered the drugs that ultimately killed the ‘Thriller’ star.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter after Los Angeles prosecutors charged him with administering the powerful anaesthetic Propofol to Jackson minutes before the singer went into cardiac arrest last June (09) and died.

Now, Joe Jackson wants Murray to be punished for his alleged medical malpractice.

And he has instructed his lawyer Brian Oxman to begin proceedings to file the wrongful death claims in Los Angeles County Superior Court next week.

In an interview with TMZ.com, Oxman said that the Jackson family patriarch is seeking an unspecified amount of punitive damages, economic support, loss of companionship and loss of consortium.

However, the legal notice has angered Murray”s lawyer Ed Chernoff, who is confident any such claim will not be awarded.

“That”s like throwing a bucket of water on a man drowning in the ocean,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying. (ANI)

Jackson family fuming over “This Is It” movie

New York, Sept 18 (ANI): They might have allowed release of Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ movie, but the late singer’s clan fears the movie is ‘propaganda’ for promoters trying to prove he was healthy enough to perform 50 concerts.

Joe Jackson had said in July, “Michael told me himself that he agreed to 10 shows. But they went and added all these other shows. I was worried about his health.”

However, promoter AEG maintained that the Thriller hitmaker was absolutely fit.

According to the sources, Jackson family privately fear it will be edited to exonerate the concert promoters, AEG Live.

“They believe the movie only includes the best clips of Michael’s final rehearsals. He supposedly looks fit, together and excited,” the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

“The family can’t speak out because money will be paid to the trust, but privately, they fear the movie is propaganda to back AEG’s argument that Michael was healthy and wasn’t being exploited,” the source added. (ANI)

MJ ‘underwent sperm count-boosting op’

Washington, Sept 4 (ANI): Michael Jackson reportedly turned to medical experts after suffering repeated injuries to his groin area in his youth and underwent a painful procedure to boost his chances of having children.

The injuries believed to have resulted from beatings given by his father Joe Jackson during his childhood days, reports Contactmusic.

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton said: “These injuries prompted Michael to visit a doctor while he was married to Lisa Marie Presley, in order to undergo a procedure that would increase his sperm count.

“We understand that the operation was not only extremely painful, but also may have been unsuccessful, leaving it impossible for Michael to father any children.”

It has been claimed that the King of Pop- who has three children, Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, who is also known as ‘Blanket’ – reportedly confided in his physician Dr. Arnold Klein that he was left infertile from vicious beatings handed out by his father when he was younger and asked the medic to donate sperm to father his kids.

“I mean, if my mother’s fine, we’re all fine. But most important, it’s not about money. It’s not about property. We’re a family. We don’t let that get in the way. That’s not important to us. That’s not important,” he added.
