Coming soon: a horror story on American Fritzl’s victim?

London, Sept 20 (ANI): Publishers and Hollywood studios have begun a multi-million dollar bidding war for the rights to sex slave Jaycee Dugard’s horrifying life story.

Fresh details of the American Fritzl’s victim have emerged, including that in the early days of her captivity, the terrified schoolgirl was so hungry she ate bugs and worms in the rambling back garden where she was held in tents and lock-up sheds, reports The Daily Express.

She had to use a garden hose to shower outside, even in winters, say detectives guarding her and her two daughters, fathered by kidnapper Phillip Garrido.

However, the public apparently is desperate for the full story of how Jaycee, now 29, survived after being snatched on her way to a school bus stop when she was only 11.

A New York literary agent, who estimates the book and film rights to be worth up to 12million dollars, said: “You couldn’t dream up a script like this. Americans can’t wait to hear the story from the girl who lived it.”

A Hollywood studio producer said: “Everyone is in the market for this story. Poor Jaycee’s life may have been hell for 18 years but she’ll never want for anything for the rest of it.”

Garrido, a registered sex offender, has been linked to six child abductions and murders stretching back years within a 400-mile radius of the ramshackle home in Antioch, California, where Jaycee was held. (ANI)

US Fritzl told wife “to take the cute blond girl” during “child shopping” trip

London, Sept 13 (ANI): Phillip Garrido, the “American Fritzl”, selected Jaycee Lee Dugard as his prey during a “child shopping” trip because she looked cute, his wife has told police in California.

Describing the precision that went into the abduction of the then 11-year-old Jaycee, Nancy told cops that they decided not to snatch the pretty blond girl with the gap-toothed grin that day in June 1991 because she was walking through South Lake Tahoe along with few school friends.

Instead, they apparently trailed her to her home before returning the next morning to complete their mission.

Garrido allegedly jumped out of their car and grabbed her as she walked to nearby a bus-stop, while her husband remained behind the wheel.

“That’s the one I want,” Garrido told her when he saw Jaycee in the resort town.

“She’s cute, but she’s with the other kids. Let’s come back later and get her,” she added.

After being briefed on Mrs Garrido’s testimony by law enforcement contacts, Michael Cardoza, a Californian attorney and former prosecutor, relayed his coldly calculating words to the Telegraph.

“This was nothing less than a child shopping trip. It just makes their actions all the more horrendous and reprehensible,” he said. (ANI)

US Fritzl’s first wife claims he had sick sex fantasies

London, Sep 2 (ANI): The first wife of American Fritzl, Philip Garrido, has claimed that he had sick sex fantasies, and beat her, stabbed her in the face and begged her to take part in orgies.

Christine Murphy had met Garrido in high school when she was 19 and working in a casino in Reno, Nevada.

The two eloped and got married in 1973, and she described how he then allegedly took LSD every day and became violent when she refused to play out his sexual fantasies.

“Multiple partners is what he wanted, I wouldn’t go for that,” the Telegraph quoted her as telling the US television programme Inside Edition.

“He started to get controlling, he started hitting me. He smacked me, he told me to grow up.

“I was always looking for a way to get away. He’s a monster,” she said.

She also claimed that when another man flirted with her, Garrido used a safety pin on her face, leaving a scar that is still visible three decades later.

After four years of marriage, Garrido was convicted of kidnapping and raping Katie Callaway Hall, a casino croupier and sentenced to life.

“Honestly I was relieved, it was my exit out,” Murphy, who is now remarried with four children, said.

Murphy had no idea that Garrido had been let out of prison until he was charged with kidnapping and raping Jaycee Lee Dugard.

“It made me sick to my stomach. The only person I have anything to say to is the victim. Just be strong, take it one day at a time,” she added. (ANI)

US Fritzl’s victim Jaycee Lee Dugard ‘wanted to be a model’

London, Sept 1 (ANI): Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was in ‘American Fritzl’ Philip Garrido’s clutches for 18 years, wanted to become a model, it has emerged.

Cheyvonne Molino, 35, who owns a wrecking business and was a client of Garrido’s printing firm Printing 4 Less, has revealed that Garrido even handed out pictures of his ‘daughter’ Dugard, who he called ‘Allissa’, to his clients.

However, nobody recognised her as the missing girl who had been kidnapped at the age of 11.

“She was just a normal teenager, she was aspiring to do modelling. Her picture was all over his business cards for the last 10 years,” the Telegraph quoted Molino as saying.

“He would leave his cards, blonde hair and blue eyes, she was a beautiful young lady,” she added.

it was also revealed that the two daughters Jaycee had with Garrido – Starlet, 15, and Angel, 11 – spent much of their time in captivity watching the television show Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. (ANI)

1988 pic shows US Fritzl, wife as loving couple

London, Sep 1 (ANI): A picture of American Fritzl, Phillip Garrido, and his wife Nancy, taken in 1988, has portrayed them to be a loving couple.

The picture of Garrido, then 37, and Nancy, 34, shows them hugging one another as they posed for the camera, soon after he had been released from jail on parole for kidnap and rape.

Both had met at Leavenworth prison, Kansas, where he was serving his sentence and she was visiting a relative, and they got married in the jail.

After Garrido got out they had the picture taken to send to his father Manuel, who refused to attend the ceremony.

It was signed on the back: “All our love, Phillip and Nancy Garrido”.

“You can see that he is a very handsome man and you can imagine him dominating Jaycee,” the Sun quoted Manuel as saying.

“Nancy was extremely attractive and would have and did do anything for Phil.

“They look like the typical All-American couple – but when you know Phil like I do you know there is something terrible under the surface,” he added. (ANI)

US Fritzl linked to prostitute serial killings

London, Aug 31 (ANI): Police suspect that ‘American Fritzl’ Phillip Garrido terrified Jaycee Lee Dugard by taking her to sites where he may have killed 10 prostitutes.

Garrido kept Jaycee as his sex slave for 18 years and fathered two children with her.

It is believed that his horror tour for the three was meant to make them too scared to flee him, reports the Daily Star.

And it left the mother and her two daughters suffering from Stockholm Syndrome where hostages grow emotionally attached to their kidnappers.

Detectives suspect that convicted rapist Garrido, 58, could be one of America’s worst mass murderers.

It is being said that Garrido may be responsible for unsolved killings dating back to 1998.

The bodies of 15-year-old school- girl Lisa Norrell and three strangled and stabbed hookers were dumped on an industrial estate in the nearby town of Pittsburg where he worked at the time.

Call girls Valerie Schultz, 27, Rachael Cruise, 32, and Jessica Frederick, 24, were mutilated and left in ditches.

Seven other prostitutes also went missing but their bodies have never been found.

And police now know that Garrido took Jaycee and her daughters – named as Starlite and Angel – to the same town just a few weeks ago. (ANI)

US Fritzl wrote sick fantasy sex lyrics during jail stint

London, Aug 31 (ANI): ‘American Fritzl’ Phillip Garrido wrote song lyrics describing his vile sex fantasies during his stint in jail.

Garrido penned the songs after being jailed for four months in April 1993 for violating parole.

It is believed his wife Nancy kept Jaycee under lock and key during his spell inside.

In the songs, Garrido – a keen singer and bass player – wrote about what he wanted to do to kidnap victim Jaycee Lee Dugard, then just 13, when he was released.

He later recorded the songs at his home and handed out the CDs to friends and family.

In one song, the 58-year-old sings about looking forward to getting home to his ‘blue-eyed girl’ and getting ‘down and dirty’ with her.

“I know now that that girl was Jaycee. She has blue eyes. He’s talking about getting out of prison and getting home to the girl he kept in his back yard,” the Mirror quoted a friend as saying.

“In the song he talks about getting down and dirty.

“Phil loved music, he loved to sing and play the bass. When he did a stint in jail he spent hours and hours writing songs about his fantasies and his love of sex.

“At first they sound innocent enough, like any guy talking about his girl.

“But knowing now what I know they have very different and horrible meanings. The lyrics tie in to the kidnap, it makes me sick to my stomach,” the friend added.

US Fritzl held sickening orgies in his secret evil garden

London, Aug 30 (ANI): ‘American Fritzl’ Phillip Garrido held sickening orgies in the same filthy compound where he kept Jaycee Lee Dugard as his sex slave for 18 years and fathered two children with her, it has been revealed.

Mike Rogers, whose home backs on to the convicted rapist’s backyard, said: “At the time I didn’t know what was in his garden. I really tried to keep out of his business.

“But when one of his parties was excessively loud I peered through the fence and yelled for them to keep the noise down.

“What I saw was not normal. Eight to ten men, mostly Mexican, would gather in a line in his garden drinking beer, yelling and screaming and swearing.

“They normally had a bonfire and I saw them entering the tent one by one. On a number of occasions I saw them bobbing up and down through the window and I thought, ‘My God, there is something sexual going on in there.

“I thought they had a prostitute or something in there. I thought it might have been some kind of sex party or something,” he added.

The orgies were a frequent event, reports News of the World.

“They were different men each time. I just hope that sicko wasn’t pimping out Jaycee or those children. The thought makes me sick,” Rogers said.

Rogers, who lived next to Garrido for four years, said that while he was disturbed by what was happening he did not feel he had enough evidence to alert police. (ANI)

US Fritzl’s secret garden of evil where he kept kidnapped girl as sex slave

London, Aug 30 (ANI): A filthy, ramshackle secret garden, hidden inside ‘American Fritzl’ Phillip Garrido’s house in the small town of Antioch, east of San Francisco, has been revealed to be the place where he kept Jaycee Lee Dugard as sex slave for 18 years and fathered two children with her.

Jaycee – kidnapped from a bus stop by Garrido, 58, when she was just 11 -was just 14 when she had the first of his two daughters, now 11 and 15, reports News of the World.

The kidnapped victim had to raise her undercover family amid the makeshift home of sheds and tents, surrounded by rubbish – topped off with a sign bidding Welcome.

The shocking details emerged as Phillip and his wife Nancy were held for trial after denying 29 charges of abduction, imprisonment and rape – and 29-year-old Jaycee was reunited with her shocked family.

Jaycee and her daughters lived destitute in a maze of interlinked shacks and tents hidden from view by overgrown trees, 8ft fencing and tarpaulins.

The entire area is strewn with their sad array of worn and broken toys and possessions, vying for space with piles of the Garridos’ dumped household junk including discarded cans of chemicals.

A source who visited the Walnut Tree Avenue compound said: “Most frightening are the bloodstains which are everywhere on carpets, tent walls and in clothing.

“It’s extremely disturbing trying to fathom out what went on in that dreadful place and how human beings could do such things.”

“How the children didn’t die of diseases or suffer long-term medical problems is a miracle. Their home was a tip with no hygiene at all,” the source added. (ANI)

‘American Fritzl’ Garrido’s arrest was led by women’s intuition, say cops

London, August 30 (ANI): The two policewomen who finally arrested ‘American Fritzl’ Phillip Garrido, for holding a girl as sex slave with his wife Nancy for 18 years, have revealed that their suspicions were raised by “women’s intuition”.

Ally Jacobs and Lisa Campbell said that they became suspicious after being approached by Garrido at the University Of California, to seek permission to hold a religious event there.

They revealed that accompanying Garrido were two “robotic” little girls he fathered with his victim Jaycee Lee Dugard.

Ally recalled that the girls were pale, as if starved of light, and extremely submissive.

What particularly disturbed her was the way the girls dressed and acted, said the cop.

“I can best describe it as they were dressed monochrome. It was almost like Little House On The Prairie,” the News of the World quoted her as saying.

“They were like robots. The young one wouldn’t move and had this eerie smile and the older one had very rehearsed answers and she didn’t very much like talking to us,” she added.

Ally further revealed that one of Garrido’s daughters even told them that there was a third girl living at his house.

The cop said: “The younger daughter told me, ‘We have an older sister aged 28.’ The older daughter said, without missing a beat, ’29′. And she seemed bothered that was even mentioned.”

Ally said that she and Lisa were certain that the little girl was talking about Jaycee.

She revealed that she even asked the younger daughter about a “tumour- like” bump under her brow, fearing that it could be a sign of child abuse.

She recalled: “She immediately replied with this very rehearsed response, ‘It’s a birth defect, inoperable, I will have it for the rest of my life.’ I’m a mother. I have two young sons and this is when my police mode turned into my mother’s mode, kind of mother’s intuition.”

Ally and Lisa said that they asked Garrido to return the next day, so that they would get some time to check his records.

Upon investigation, the cop duo found Garrido to be a registered sex offender on parole for kidnap and rape.

Recalling a discussion with Garrido’s parole officer, Ally said: “He stopped me when I said he brought in his two daughters. He said, ‘He doesn’t have two daughters.’ I felt sick.”

The discovery finally led to Garrido and Nancy’s arrests. (ANI)

US Fritzl being probed for murder of 10 prostitutes

New York, Aug 29 (ANI): As more details of Phillip Garrido, who kidnapped a girl 18 years ago and made her his sex slave, emerged, police are now eyeing him as the possible serial killer of 10 prostitutes in Northern California in the 1990s.

The police are looking over Jaycee Lee Dugard’s alleged abductor’s home in Antioch, Calif., searching for clues in the unsolved hooker murders.

Detectives have long thought the killings in both Antioch and the nearby town of Pittsburg were the work of a serial killer but have never had a clear suspect.

According to the authorities, several of the slain women’s bodies were found near an industrial park where Garrido, 58, worked in the 1990s, and one of the victims was a 15-year-old schoolgirl who disappeared after leaving a party in Antioch in 1999.

Cops had missed the chance to rescue Dugard on November 30, 2006 after a female neighbour called 911 to report that some people, including young children, were living in tents behind the house.

“Garrido was psychotic and had a sexual addiction,” the New York Post quoted her as telling authorities at the time that. (ANI)

Cops missed chance to rescue girl from “American Fritzl” three years ago

London, Aug 29 (ANI): It has been revealed that cops missed a chance to rescue kidnapped victim Jaycee Lee Dugard from Phillip Garrido, nicknamed the “American Fritzl”.

Garrido, 58, and his wife Nancy, 54, had held Dugard, 29, against her will for 18 years, and the fiend even fathered two daughters, now aged 11 and 15, with her, reports the Sun.

But it has been revealed now that cops missed a chance to rescue Dugard after a neighbour of Garrido called 911 three years ago.

Dugard’s ordeal ended earlier this week when she emerged from captivity. (ANI)

US Fritzl describes his crime as “the most powerful heart-warming story”

London, Aug 29 (ANI): Phillip Garrido, the “American Fritzl”, who held a girl captive for 18 years and fathered two children with her, claimed the kidnap and rape ordeal of Jaycee Lee Dugard would be revealed as “a powerful, heart-warming story”.

The convicted rapist, who snatched Jaycee at age of 11, added: “You’re going to be really impressed – it’s going to make world news.”

The 58-year-old was speaking to a Californian TV station instead of a lawyer using the one phone call to which he was legally entitled, reports The Daily Express.

Phillip was arrested after police discovered he had held kidnap victim Jaycee in a compound at the back of his Californian home since 1991.

It is believed she had two daughters with Garrido and that the girls, aged 11 and 15, have never been to school or visited a doctor.

Despite the appalling nature of the crimes, Garrido, who has been charged with kidnapping, rape, conspiracy and committing lewd acts with a minor, did admit what he had done was “disgusting”.

However, he claimed the world will be “impressed” when it hears his side of the story.

He said: “Wait until you hear the story of what took place in this house. You’re going to be absolutely impressed. It’s a disgusting thing that took place with me at the beginning but I turned my life completely around.

“Having those two children – those two girls. They slept in my arms every single night and I never touched them.”

He went on: “You are going to find the most powerful story coming from the witness, the victim – you wait.

“If you take this a step at a time, you’re going to fall over backwards and in the end, you’re going to find the most powerful heart-warming story.”

The arrest of Phillip has brought to mind the case of Josef Fritzl who was arrested in 2008 on similar charges. Both men were accused of keeping young girls prisoner and fathering children by them against their will. (ANI)

US Fritzl’s bro compares him to mass murderer Charles Manson

London, Aug 29 (ANI): Phillip Garrido, the “American Fritzl”, who held a girl captive for 18 years and fathered two children, has been compared to mass murderer Charles Manson by his own family.

The Sun quoted Garrido’s brother Ron, 65, as saying: “It seems bizarre, but I can believe it. I know my brother, and I can believe he did that. He’s a fruitcake.

“My thoughts are with the poor girl. She was held prisoner. She had two children with this idiot. Now she’s got to start a life.”

Ron revealed that brother Phillip was psychologically damaged by using the hallucinogen LSD in his teenage years.

Comparing his brother’s wife Nancy to a “robot”, Ron added: “She would do anything he asked her to. I told my wife, ‘It’s no different from Manson’.”

Manson manipulated a group called “The Family” to commit murders in California in 1969.

Phillip was arrested after police discovered he had held kidnap victim Jaycee Lee Dugard in a compound at the back of his Californian home since 1991.

Dugard is now said to be feeling “guilty” that she bonded with her captor during her 18 years as his sex slave.

It is believed she had two daughters with Garrido and that the girls, aged 11 and 15, have never been to school or visited a doctor. (ANI)
