Woman in ‘Boobquake’ war with Islamist

Action and reaction was never so hypnotising!

In a ‘busty’ bid to challenge an Islamic cleric”s suggestion that immodestly dressed women cause earthquakes, US student Jennifer McCreight has launched “Boobquake” campaign on Facebook-asking thousands to show maximum cleavage and shake the world.

Iranian cleric Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi angered womens’ groups around the world on Monday when he claimed that promiscuous women were responsible for literally making the earth move.

“Many women who do not dress modestly … lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes,”” the Courier Mail quoted Sedighi as saying.

Jennifer McCreight is determined to prove him wrong.

Since launching the “Boobquake” Facebook page, she has enlisted more than 20,000 women promising to show as much cleavage as possible on Monday, April 26.

And if the world doesn’t then collapse, then Sedighi will have to admit he was wrong.

“On Monday, April 26th, I will wear the most cleavage-showing shirt I own. Yes, the one usually reserved for a night on the town,” wrote McCreight.

“I encourage other female skeptics to join me and embrace the supposed supernatural power of their breasts. Or short shorts, if that’s your preferred form of immodesty.

“With the power of our scandalous bodies combined, we should surely produce an earthquake.

“If not, I”m sure Sedighi can come up with a rational explanation for why the ground didn’t rumble,” she added.

Muslims in Lucknow offer ‘Alvida Namaz’ before Eid

Lucknow, Sep 18(ANI): Muslims gathered in huge numbers at several mosques of Lucknow on Friday to offer the ‘Alvida Namaz’ marking the last Friday prayers of the holy month of Ramadan.

“We prayed to the Lord to raise the financial status of Muslims and also eradicate all their problems. In India, Hindu and Muslims have been living together for several centuries and we want them to be like this in future,” said Moulvi Faizul Rehman, an Islamic cleric at a mosque in Lucknow.

Highlighting the significance of the ‘Alvida Namaz’, Mohammad Sayeed, a Namazi said that it is the reason why thousands of Muslim from across the city gather to offer prayers.

“During Ramadan if we participate in the ‘Alvida Namaz’ and offer our prayers, then we get a reward for it and it will usher prosperity to us,” Sayeed said.

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Hijri lunar calendar, commemorates the revelation of Quran, Islam’s holy book, and has traditionally been a time of religious fervour, settling old disputes and behaving charitably towards neighbours.

Fasting during Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. Considered auspicious for prayers, Muslims observe the month-long fasting named ‘Roza’.

They believe this secures them a place in heaven and also brings them face to face with Allah, the Almighty, on the day of ‘Kayamat’.

Angered Islamic cleric calls Carla Bruni-Sarkozy a prostitute

London, July 1 (ANI): In a bid to hit back at French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s attempts to ban the burka, a crazed Islamic cleric named Anjem Choudary has branded his wife Carla Bruni a prostitute.

It may be recalled that while addressing Parliament recently, Sarkozy had said wearing the burka was not welcome in France, sparking strong reactions from Muslim communities around the world.

Choudary has said that former model and singer Bruni, 41, represents the face of a depraved Western society where women are treated like sex objects.

Writing on the Islam4UK website, he claimed that Muslims were not shallow to treat their women like the President.

“Sarkozy may be content with being wed to a prostitute who flaunts her body to the world believing it to be righteous conduct, but he is reminded that a Muslim is not this shallow and depraved,” The Daily Star quoted him as saying. (ANI)

Jailed Islamic cleric Qatada linked to al Qaeda

London, Apr 20 (ANI): For the first time, the jailed radical Islamic cleric Abu Qatada has been linked to terrorist organisation al-Qaeda by one of the terror group’s own leaders.

Adil al-Abbab, revealed recently as Osama Bin Laden’s head of religious affairs in Saudi Arabia, said: “Free our prisoners and the prisoners of the Muslims. O Allah! Free Sheikh Abu Qatada.”

Qatada, long suspected of being the network’s top European envoy, was respectfully referred to as “Sheikh” which denotes leadership, The Sun reports.

A UK security source said of the web rant: “This is clearly an own goal. These calls for his freedom from a senior al-Qaeda figure end any doubt about his significance to Bin Laden.”

Qatada, 48, is behind bars fighting the Home Secretary’s decision to boot him out of Britain.

He has always dodged questions about his connections to al-Qaeda, but he is wanted in Jordan on terror charges.

Qatada is appealing to Europe against the decision to deport him. (ANI)

Brit Muslim hate cleric leads appeal for jihad cash

London, Mar.15 (ANI): AN Islamic cleric has urged his followers to give cash to front-line mujaheddin fighters as a counter to British troops returning from Iraq.

Anjem Choudary, a self-styled sharia judge and former leader of the banned group Al-Muhajiroun, has been quoted by The Times as telling his followers to stop spending their money on their families and divert it to Muslim soldiers waging a jihad.

Choudary has previously called for British women to be forced to wear burqas and for adulterers to be killed.

The emergence of the tape coincided with the death yesterday of a British soldier in Afghanistan, the 150th to die there since 2001. The soldier of the 2nd battalion, Royal Welsh regiment, was on foot patrol.

Last week Choudary’s followers shouted abuse at soldiers from the Royal Anglian Regiment as they paraded through Luton, calling them “butchers and killers”.

Choudary later called the troops “cowards who cannot fight”.

Patrick Mercer, chairman of the Commons subcommittee on counter-terrorism, said: “It is crucial that Choudary is investigated by the police and if the evidence stacks up he must be charged.”

Geoffrey Bindman, a leading lawyer, said: “There’s an element of ambiguity in the term ‘mujaheddin’ but in the context it’s possible he would be held to be seeking to raise money for terrorist purposes.”

Choudary supporters taped a meeting last year at which he was preaching to disciples. A copy of the recording has been passed to The Sunday Times.

When confronted, Choudary said: “I don’t think I’ve ever said to people ‘raise money and send it to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban’, which is what you are suggesting.”

Imam Abdul Jalil Sajid, a leading Muslim cleric, said: “When people like Choudary say mujaheddin, they mean armed struggle against Britain and America.” (ANI)
