He added: “I love Kerry and will always be there for her as a friend, and she is more than welcome to call me whenever she needs to talk. I would never see her as a burden.

Madonna flaunts toned body for mag photoshoot

New York, May 6 (ANI): Queen of Pop Madonna has flaunted her toned body, wearing a variety of ensembles, ranging from an eye-patch to lacy lingerie for a magazine photoshoot.

Madonna, 51, seductively tugged at her underwear in one photo, while in another she sensually rested a crucifix on her mouth, as she posed for the May issue of Interview magazine.

She also spoke to film director Gus Van Sant about how she balances work and life as a single mother.

“I tend to write during the day so I can see my children at night,” the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.

“But if my kids aren’t with me and I have a chunk of time when I’m a single woman living in my house for a miraculous week, I will get to write at different hours.

“I mean, we’ve burned the candle. We’ve stayed up all night. We’ve done it every which way. But generally we schedule chunks of time to be together and work on it,” she added. (ANI)

Madonna puts music career on hold to concentrate on new film

London, May 5 (ANI): Madonna has kept her music career on the sidelines to concentrate on planning her upcoming movie W.E., insisting that she doesn”t have the “time or energy” to sing.

The Pop Queen is preparing to direct the drama she”s co-written and has admitted that her latest project has completely “consumed” her working life.

“I”ve been writing it for the last two and a half years, to tell you the truth. It”s been kind of an obsession of mine. I started writing it when I finished filming (2008 directorial debut) Filth and Wisdom. It was actually an idea I had before that, but I made Filth and Wisdom because I realised that I didn”t really have a right to make a bigger film until I made a smaller film – and learned how to make a film,” the Daily Star quoted her as telling Interview magazine.

And the Material Girl has insisted that she is so busy with the film, she has no time to make any new music.

“I don”t have a record deal right now with anybody. I don”t know how I”m going to get my music out the next time I make a record. I”m going to have to reinvent the wheel. I haven”t really been focused as much as I should be on the music part of my career, because this movie has just consumed every inch of me.

“Between that and my four children, I don”t have the time or the energy for anything else. For example, I do appreciate that lots of people worked long and hard putting together things like the DVD of the Sticky & Sweet Tour that we just released, and I have seen the finished product, but I have got no idea how people are going to find out about it or how it”s going to be sold,” she added. Madonna “cried and cried” watching ex Penn in ‘Milk’

Washington, May 4 (ANI): Madonna wept as she watched Milk – the movie in which her ex-husband Sean Penn played the role of homosexual politician Harvey Milk.

The singer said the biopic reminded her of the gay friends she has lost to AIDS, reports Contactmusic.

In an interview with the film”s director Gus Van Sant in the new issue of Interview magazine, Madonna says, “Milk was such a brilliant film. I cried and cried. I loved it. He (Penn) is amazing… He”s got a fire under his a**, that”s for sure, a bee in his bonnet… I could see why he would be attracted to the role and be able to say yes in two seconds. Watching Milk was such a trip down memory lane for me.

“What the movie triggered for me was all my early days in New York and the scene that I came up in… with Andy Warhol and Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat and Kenny Scharf. It was just so alive with art and politics and this wonderful spirit. So many of those people are dead now. I think that”s one of the reasons I cried.

“I don”t know why I”m bringing all this up, but I guess it”s just coming from that world in Michigan and the trajectory of my life: after going to New York and being a dancer when the whole AIDS epidemic started and nobody knew what it was. And then suddenly, all these beautiful men around me, people who I loved so dearly, were dying – just one after the next.

“It was just such a crazy time. And watching the world freak out – the gay community was so ostracised. But it was also when I was beginning my career.”

She tells Van Sant, “Your movie really struck a chord for me and made me remember all that. It”s a time I don”t think many people have captured on film. It”s a time that people don”t talk about much. And even though there was so much death, for me, New York was so alive.” (ANI)

Taliban wants ‘normal’ relations with India when back in power in Afghanistan

New Delhi, Mar.27 (ANI): Defending the February 26 attack on a couple of hotels in Kabul, in which seven Indians were killed, the Taliban has said that it favours neither Pakistan nor India, but would like to maintain a ‘normal’ relation with India.

In an interview with the Outlook magazine, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said his outfit does not want India out of Afghanistan, but also criticised New Delhi for supporting the western forces in the war tattered country.

“If the Taliban returns to power, we would like to maintain normal relations with countries, including India. It’s possible for the Taliban and India to reconcile with each other,” Mujahid told the magazine in the interview, which can be described as self-contradictory.

“India’s role is different from those countries that sent troops to occupy Afghanistan,” he added.

The Taliban spokesman pointed out that both Kabul and New Delhi have had good relations in the past, and that it was difficult to ask India to leave Afghanistan.

“We are not saying that India should be out of Afghanistan. Nor can India be completely expelled from Afghanistan. The Taliban aren’t in any direct conflict with India. India troops aren’t part of NATO forces, they haven’t occupied Afghanistan,” Mujahid said.

Responding to a question regarding last month’s Kabul attack, which was believed to have been primarily targeted at Indians, Mujahid claimed that the Taliban had attacked the two hotels, as there was information that some agents of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) were holding a meeting there.

He, however, criticised India for backing international forces fighting against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in the country and the Karzai government.

“India backed anti-Taliban forces of the Northern Alliance (NA) and refused to do business with our government. Our complaint is India backed the NA (Northern Alliance), and is now supporting the Karzai government,” Mujahid said.

When reminded that India has undertaken several developmental works in Afghanistan worth millions of rupees, Mujahid said : “If India were so fond of the Afghan people, why did it not undertake development projects under Taliban rule?” (ANI)

Lindsay blames chasing paparazzi for her car crashes

Washington, January 22 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan has held the tailing paparazzi at fault for her string of car collisions.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress has previously landed behind bars for her two DUI charges, including a 2007 incident when she was charged for possessing cocaine, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

The singer has laid the blame of her crashes on snappers who chase her everywhere to get a picture.

“My car accident that I got into, where I got my first charge, I wouldn’t have been speeding up like I was if I didn’t have people shoving cameras in my windows. I was running away from the paparazzi,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Interview magazine.

“Especially late at night, when you’re trying to turn a corner, and then somebody else is speeding up alongside you.

“So, you know, it’s okay for someone to chase me and then try to cut me off so I ram my car into a tree… I mean, I know this guy was trying to do his job, but his ‘job’ almost landed me half-dead.

“Not only that, but they all stand to make a lot more money at it if they’ve got pictures of you in a car crashed into a tree,” she added. (ANI)
