Julia Roberts thinks working makes her a better mother

Washington, July 13 (ANI): Julia Roberts has admitted that she loves acting because it helps her rejuvenate and become a better mother.

“Going to work recharges me on a whole different level. When I come home to my family, I’m more enriched,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

She said: “When you’re a mum, so much happens within the confines of you home, so when you venture outside for a while, it adds to the colours of your life.”

The 41-year-old actress added: “I still find it fun making movies. I jokingly say that it’s fun to spend time with people who are more than three and a half feet tall.”

She also mentioned that her children provide her a sense of joy.

She added: “When I look at my children I see a real sense of joy. hey’re happy kids.”

Roberts has three children, twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, four, and Henry, two, with husband Danny Moder. (ANI)

Washington, May 18 (ANI): Hollywood actress Cynthia Nixon has announced the she is all set to marry her lesbian partner Christine Marinoni.

The ‘Sex and the City’ actress made the announcement during the the Love, Peace and Marriage Equality rally in New York.

She told the crowd there that she would soon walk down the aisle with Marinoni, reports Contactmusic.

Nixon’s co-actress Kristin Davis, who also loaned her support to the gay rights event, was also there when the announcement was made.

While Nixon made announcement about her engagement, Davis looked on.

The couple began dating after Nixon divorced her husband Danny Mozes in 2003. (ANI)

Washington, May 05 (ANI): Julia Roberts says that the key to staying beautiful is always to be looking at someone who loves you.

The 41-year-old actress has three kids 3-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and 1-year-old son, Henry, with husband, Danny Moder.

And Roberts insists all of them make her look beautiful.

“The key to beauty is always to be looking at someone who loves you, really,” Us magazine quoted Roberts as telling the March issue of Allure.

“One of my favourite things about my children right now, even Henry, who can’t say all the words…sometimes he’ll see me and go, ‘Ma-ma!’ and throw himself on me. Or Finn says he likes my earrings. Or Hazel will say, ‘You look pretty, Mama,’ first thing in the morning.

“And I realize, that’s all my husband.

“They’re seeing the things that he does and the way that he shares his feelings with me, and the way that I share my feelings with him. The coolest thing you can do for your children is to love each other in their presence,” she added. (ANI)

Julia Roberts bans her kids from becoming child actors

Washington, Mar 18 (ANI): Hollywood actress Julia Roberts has forbidden her kids from becoming child actors.

She wants her children to first grow old enough to decide about their career options.

“My first instinct is that I would prefer if my children wanted to be artists that they wait, you know, that they just wait – as long as they can,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Julia has three children with husband Danny Moder twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 4, and Henry 21 months.

Red carpet is terrifying, says Julia Roberts

New Delhi, Mar 13 (ANI): After years of semi-retirement, Julia Roberts says she now finds red carpets “terrifying”.

The ‘Pretty Woman’ star came out of hibernation to star alongside Clive Owen in new spy film ‘Duplicity’, but admits she found the movie’s London premiere intimidating, reports The China Daily.

She said: “The red carpet is just terrifying, awful. It’s scary out there – but it’s nice.”

Roberts retreated from Hollywood life after giving birth to twins Hazel and Finn in 2004.

Since then she has spent most of her time at home with her cameraman husband Danny Moder, their 20-month-old son Henry and the twins. (ANI)

Julia Roberts shocked by ‘Duplicity’ nude scene

London, Mar 9 (ANI): Julia Roberts has admitted that she was shocked when she first went through the script of her new movie ‘Duplicity’ – because it asked for a nude scene.

The ‘Pretty Women’ star has a partial nude bedroom scene in the film – and had to tone down writer/director Tony Gilroy’s original vision.

“I thought, ‘Y’know, just remember you’ve hired me… I’m, like, the G-rated actress,’” the Daily Express quoted her, as saying.owever, the actress has revealed that the saucy scene wasn’t the only uncomfortable moment her – she had to kiss co-star Clive Owen in front of her cameraman husband Danny Moder.

“It’s awkward… When you’re not kissing your true love, it’s awkward,” Roberts said. (ANI)

Julia Roberts keen to invite the Obamas to her dream dinner party

New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Hollywood actress Julia Roberts has revealed that US President Barack Obama and his family top her dream dinner party invite list.

The ‘Pretty Woman’ actress, who also intends to invite Diane Sawyer, Mike Nichols, Oprah Winfrey, Stedman Graham and Tina Fey to her dinner party, says that her invite list begins with the Obama’s placed at the top.

Julia insists that her twins Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter, with husband Danny Moder, can enjoy with Sasha and Malia Obama, if her dream dinner party takes place.

“For sure, we’re going to start with the Obamas. The girls can play with my kids,” she said.

Meanwhile, Julia has admitted that she is a very protective mother, and that she makes it a point to shelter her children from the paparazzi in a bid to give them a normal life, reports the China Daily.

“I think it should be against the law to take a picture of a celebrity’s child. Fortunately, it’s a rare occurrence for us. My husband and I are very protective of our children. We go out of our way to shelter them from the paparazzi and to still live a normal life,” she told Allure magazine. (ANI)
