LiLo denies catfight with Avril

Washington, May 12 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan has denied that she had a fight with Avril Lavigne in Hollywood.

Usmagazine.com quoted New York Post claiming that Lavigne screamed at Lohan saying “Get the hell out of my face, you are fake, you are a loser” at the Chateau Marmont Hotel. “I don”t like false people. Stay away from me and my friends.”

According to the paper, Lohan fumed back, “Don”t threaten me!” before trying unsuccessfully to get security to kick Lavigne out.

But now, Lohan, 23, tells UsMagazine.com, “That is not true.”

“I don”t know why I am such a target, but I think there”s a big misconception of who I am as a person,” she told L.A”s 102.7 KISS-FM. “I”ve just been working a lot, and it”s not a crime to go out and have fun with your friends… I do realize it”s silly of me to give people what they want – to see me out at night.”

Lohan has been involved in other scuffles too. She reportedly threw a drink at ex-girlfriend Sam Ronson at L.A club Trousdale, and was fired last month from ‘The Other Side’ by the director who said they couldn’t secure financing with her in the lead role. (ANI)

Ashley Cole takes a dig at Cheryl after Premier League win

London, May 11 (ANI): Footballer Ashley Cole took a dig at his estranged wife Cheryl by suggesting soccer is more important to him than his relationship with her.

Cole said Chelsea’s victory in the Premier League has made up for the terrible time he had last year, when his extra-marital affairs were exposed.

“I’m over the moon. As everyone knows I’ve not had the greatest of years but this makes up for it,” the Daily Star quoted him, as saying on winning the tournament.

Meanwhile, a source said: “Cheryl has been to Hell and back and has been humiliated. I’m sure she’ll be delighted to know football can make him so happy when she’s still suffering.” (ANI)

LiLo, Avril Lavigne’s bitter feud

New York, May 11 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan has now locked horns with rival starlet Avril Lavigne after the pop star publicly called her a “loser.”

The brawl took place at Hollywood”s Chateau Marmont when Lohan sauntered over to Lavigne to say hello.

“Avril was at a table with friends just over a week ago including her boyfriend, Brody Jenner, when Lindsay came over to say hi.

“But as soon as she approached, Avril launched at her and said: ”Get the hell out of my face, you are fake, you are a loser. I don”t like false people. Stay away from me and my friends.”

“Lindsay was furious and screamed back: ”Don”t threaten me!” She then stormed off to security and tried to get them to kick Avril out. They refused to force Avril to leave. Lindsay eventually stormed off,” The New York Post quoted an eyewitness as saying.

The fight actually started when Lohan snubbed Lavigne earlier at an event.

“It seemed like she was just being friendly to Avril because she was with people Lindsay wanted to impress. Avril is avoiding going to the Chateau Marmont when she knows Lindsay will be there. She doesn”t want any more drama,” the source added. (ANI)

Pietersen flying home for birth of first child

England batsman Kevin Pietersen is flying home from the Twenty20 World Cup to be with his wife for the birth of their first child and is planning to jet back to the Caribbean in time for the semi-finals.

Pietersen smashed a superb 53 against South Africa on Saturday to lead his side to a win that virtually secures a place in the last four.

The confident strokeplayer then said he would be making an 8,000-plus mile, 17-hour round-trip this week to be with pop singer and model wife Jessica.

“I’m flying in the next 24 hours and if there are no complications I’ll come back a day before the semi,” Pietersen said at the presentation ceremony.

“It’s my first child so it’s a hell of an exciting time for me. I’ll be dashing across the Atlantic and hopefully dashing back.”

The only game Pietersen is scheduled to miss is Monday’s match with New Zealand, a game that could be meaningless for England if Pakistan beat South Africa earlier the same day.

The semi-finals will be played on Thursday and Friday in St Lucia.

England all but ensured progress to the semis with victory over South Africa. They have a maximum four points in Group E.

Jordan ‘takes up yoga to beat her pregnancy curse’

London, May 10 (ANI): Katie Price a.k.a Jordan has taken up yoga after doctors warned her she may be unable to conceive because of toxins in her body from Botox and tanning, sources say.

The hottie’s cagefighter husband Alex Reid apparently advised her to do meditation, yoga.

Also, he recommended Emotional Freedom Techniques, which he learned while travelling the globe for TV show The Fight Of His Life.

“Kate was really sceptical at first but after Alex kept nagging she thought: ‘Hell, why not?’,” the Daily Star quoted a source, as saying.

The insider added: “She started with breathing exercises and yoga stretching but was soon asking Alex to teach her more advanced techniques.

“Not only does she now feel like a million pounds, it’s bringing her and Alex closer together.”

Also, Reid said: “I have a deeper connection with Kate as I feel more positive influences are rubbing off on her.” (ANI)

Gordon Ramsay sued for unpaid wine bill

London, May 5 (ANI): TV chef Gordon Ramsay has been slapped with a lawsuit over an allegedly unpaid wine bill.

The Hell’s Kitchen star was forced to shut shop and file for bankruptcy in 2009 because of the economic downturn.

Despite staying aboard by pumping 5 million pounds of his own to pay debt collectors, his business empire has crashed because of a series of bills and legal issues.

And now, he’s facing a lawsuit from a U.S. wine merchant, Wineberry America LLC, for failing to settle a 27,267-pound bill for a shipment of booze delivery to his New York restaurant, The London NYC.

The suit names Ramsay, The London NYC and his equity backers the Blackstone Group as defendants. (ANI)

Man decorates jewellery display window to pop the question

New York, April 19 (ANI): A Manhattan man is said to have used an upper East Side jeweller’s display window to arrange a floral wedding proposal for his girlfriend.

Tom DeBourcy, 26, had arranged for flowers and a “Will you marry me Alexandra?” sign to be displayed at the window of Jeri Cohen Fine Jewelry on Third Ave., and for his girlfriend to see it as they strolled by.

“Oh, my God, it is beautiful,” the New York Daily News quoted Alex Routenberg, also 26, as saying, as DeBourcy slipped a 2-carat diamond ring onto her finger.

The two had both attended the same high school outside of Chicago, but didn’t meet until he used the alumni connection to contact her on Facebook.

“I asked who the hell he was, and two and a half years later …,” she said.

Routenberg, a fan of “The Real Housewives of New York”, said she was tickled by the store’s connection to the reality TV show.

“I always walk by and say to my mom, ‘This is the place where Jill Zarin goes!’,” she said.

“This is the greatest idea you ever had!” she told her fiance.

“Well, maybe [after] Facebooking me,” she added. (ANI)

Jordan to replace Cowell as Britain’s Got Talent judge?

London, Apr 17 (ANI): Simon Cowell is planning to bid adieu to his seat on Britain’s Got Talent’s judging panel and has hinted Jordan a.k.a Katie Price could take his place.

The music mogul will take a more behind-the-scenes role next year because he has had enough of sitting through thousands of auditions.

Cowell claims the ITV show can easily continue without him on camera, reports The Daily Star.

Cowell said: “I am looking at whether I have a different role next year. I am considering coming just for the semi-finals. I like the show but it takes a hell of a lot of time.

“You sit there watching horrific acts and you think: ‘I genuinely can’t do this any more.’

“Can I see it working without me? Yes.”

When asked if reality star Jordan could join the show, he teased: “Well those are your words not mine. But Jordan is a friend. It’s too early to say what will happen.

“Whoever takes over has to really know what they are talking about. You have to spot a star, nurture them, mentor them.” (ANI)

LONDON (Reuters Life!) – The regenerations of Time Lord Doctor Who were modeled on the “horrifying” side effects of drug-induced trips, according to archived documents published by the BBC.

Doctor Who, an eccentric TV hero who has fearlessly fought Daleks and Cybermen with the help of his Tardis time machine in the shape of a 1950s London police box, has become a classic figure since the show first aired in the 1960s.

The regenerations started in 1966 to allow writers to replace the lead actor. The series recently saw an 11th actor, Matt Smith, take on the role.

A BBC memo outlining the character describes his metaphysical change over the years as a “horrifying experience.”

“It as if he has had the L.S.D. drug and instead of experiencing the kicks, he has the hell and dank horror which can be its effect,” it says.

US girl, 15, sells stepsister, 7, for sex

London, April 1 (ANI): A 15-year-old American girl has been arrested on charges of selling her stepsister, 8 years her junior, for sex.

According to New Jersey police, the teen took her 7-year-old stepsister to an apartment close to their home in Trenton town where about seven men raped the younger girl.

It is said the teen was paid for bringing her stepsister to the apartment and she was present at the venue when the men raped the younger girl.

All this while their parents thought the girls had run away.

“We”re talking about a kid who told her sister to go into an apartment and let people rape her,” the Telegraph quoted Trenton police Capt. Joseph Juniak, as saying.

He added: “It”s unfathomable.”

Cops have charged the older girl with aggravated sexual assault, promoting prostitution and other crimes. Although her name cannot be revealed for legal reasons, the county prosecutor plans to request the court to try her as an adult.

The girl is currently held at a youth detention centre.

Mayor Doug Palmer said the younger girl had accompanied her sister to the apartment – where the men had thrown a party – because she was worried about her safety.

Once there, the teen encouraged her younger sister to let the men touch her.

Capt Juniak said: “It went from touching to straight out assault and rape.

“They threatened to kill her if she screamed or told anyone.”

Their parents called the cops when both girls didn”t return home by 4:30pm last weekend.

Two women saw the younger girl crying and escorted her home, where the police had already arrived.

The child narrated the whole story.

Police arrested 15-year-old later that night.

Palmer said: “It”s sickening…The police are taking this personal. I know there”s a place in hell for all the people that participated in this and I”m sure they will get there.” (ANI)

Alistair Darling denies he’s too ‘knackered’ to enjoy sex life with wife

London, Mar 31 (ANI): Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling has denied that he is too “knackered” to enjoy a satisfying sex life with his wife.

Darling, 56, was asked by Piers Morgan for GQ magazine whether it was possible to have a good sex life and be a member of the Cabinet, reports the Telegraph.

“I don’t know,” the Chancellor replied.

He went on to deny he was too “knackered” (to tired) to enjoy a satisfying sex life with his wife, Margaret, by whom he has two children.

“There are some things a gentleman doesn’t talk about,” he repeatedly told Morgan.

Morgan also asked him if he ever fantasised about an attractive woman approaching him in a bar.

“You have to be realistic. Who the hell is going to come up and speak to me in a bar?” he stated.

And if he were ever to receive a letter from a woman saying that she was attracted to him, he added he would “assume it was some sort of hoax”. (ANI)

Lindsay Lohan’s dad insists she needs to enter rehab

Washington, Mar 31 (ANI): ‘Mean Girls’ star Lindsay Lohan’s dad Michael has once again come forward to say that his daughter is not fine and that she needs to go into rehab for a prescription drug problem.

Michael said during a news conference, that Lindsay was “not okay” and even told all her enablers to “get the hell out of the way”, reports TMZ.

He also said he did not want Lindsay to end up like Brittany Murphy or DJ AM and would like her to go to rehab on Long Island far from Hollywood.

And apparently his claim of making arrangements with Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley is not true. (ANI)

Becks ‘to soothe WC miss by planning baby daughter’

London, Mar 17 (ANI): David Beckham might have been ruled out of the World Cup, but he has set a new goal to battle back from his injury hell —a baby girl with wife Victoria.

The football ace, with a snapped Achilles tendon, is desperate to give the couple’s three sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, five, a new sister.

David, 34, is expected to be out for at least six months after he was injured playing for AC Milan on Sunday night, reports The Daily Star.

And it is believed that wife Posh, who yesterday flew 6,500 miles to be at his bedside, is game for it.

Friends have said the couple will begin trying for a baby girl soon after he leaves the clinic in Turku, Finland, later this week.

“This injury is a nightmare for David, but he is not the kind of man to buckle under the strain. He knows some good must come out of it,” said a pal.

“A baby girl would make their family complete. They are both so excited and have decided: ‘Let’s go for it!’” added the friend.

Earlier, Posh spoke about her desire for a daughter, saying: “I’d love to dress a little girl up.” (ANI)

“No chance” of Beckham playing in World Cup: Finnish surgeon

Turku (Finland), Mar 16(ANI): The leading surgeon who operated on England and AC Milan midfielder David Beckham, has said that there is “no chance” of him playing in this summer’s FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Beckham was operated on less than 24 hours after rupturing his left Achilles tendon during AC Milan’s Serie A game against Chievo at the San Siro on Sunday.

Talking about the injury, Dr. Sakari Orava said: “The tendon was totally torn.”

Even though the operation to fix it went “smoothly”, the 34-year-old will still be undergoing rehabilitation when the England squad flies out for their camp in Rustenburgto.

Beckham, who had been hell-bent on appearing in his fourth successive World Cup finals, will not even be able to kick a ball for three months.

“This is probably the lowest point he has ever encountered in his professional career. Words cannot express how devastated David is,” The Sun quoted a family friend, as saying.

“Mentally this is disastrous. He thinks he”s being punished for something he must have done wrong in life, which of course is ridiculous,” the friend said. (ANI)

Mark Owen’s wife asks for divorce

London, Mar 13 (ANI): Take That member Mark Owen’s wife Emma has requested a divorce from him after she refused to take him back following his fling with 10 women.

Owen, 38, had hoped to win her back after she agreed to crisis talks at their home, but she told him she does not want him around her or their two children, Elwood, three and 16-month-old Willow Rose.

The singer has been staying at a friend’s home as he comes to terms with Emma’s decision to not forgive him.

“He’s in a hell of state. All life has been sapped from him. He deeply wants Emma to forgive him but she’s made it plain that won’t happen yet,” the Daily Star quoted a pal as saying.

“Mark was desperate for her to listen to his side of the story and try to understand. She agreed to a meeting but it didn’t end well – she just told him to get out.

“His confession has been a total bombshell. Her hurt and pain is still too raw. She’s got a lot of things to take in and work out in her mind.

“Mark has agreed to lie low and give her and the children some space. He doesn’t want Mother’s Day ruined for his kids.

“He still hopes to save his marriage but knows there’s not going to be a quick fix.

“He’s made a clean confession but is really, really nervous about other stories which might yet emerge. Mark fears there’ll be no way back and he could end up being divorced, which will destroy him,” the pal added. (ANI)
