Akshay Kumar opens Ritu Beri’s kids fashion show

New Delhi, Feb 2 (ANI): Bollywood star Akshay Kumar launched the ‘Baby Beri’ show which showcased fashion designer Ritu Beri’s kids collection in New Delhi on Sunday evening.

The proceeds of the fashion show will go to The Blessed Hearts Foundation for the welfare of underprivileged children.

Ritu Beri’s collection was segregated into three sub-divisions – Beri Princess, Rock Star Babes and Bollywood Divas, which included both Indian and western wear.

Akshay appreciated the ‘professional’ act put up by children on the ramp.

“I have really-really enjoyed it. I have been to many ramp shows and have sat on the first bench and clapped. But these children have so many expressions on their face. Someone was crying, someone was laughing, someone was frightened, while someone was walking confidently, as if their parents trained them the whole night to walk on ramp,” exclaimed Akshay.

Ritu Beri told reporters that she would readily agree to host events intended for the welfare of needy children in the future.

Meanwhile, Kumar entertained the crowd by talking to them. He good humouredly requested designer Ritu to design for men to introduce variety in the much-neglected mens wear. By Varalika Vij(ANI)
