Having sex is good for heart – even after a heart attack

Washington, May 22 (ANI): Most heart attack survivors avoid sex because they fear it will trigger another attack. But a new study suggests that sex is good for the heart — even after a heart attack.

Researchers say that it is a myth that sex is a dangerous activity for heart patients.

“The likelihood of dying during sexual intercourse, even among people who have had a heart attack, is really small,” Live Science quoted lead author Dr. Stacy Lindau of the University of Chicago, as stating.

Researchers reported at the American Heart Association”s Forum on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke that many people pointlessly become prudes after surviving a heart attack. A third of men and 60 percent of women abstained the year after a heart attack.

In films, mind-blowing sex often becomes heart-stopping sex. But in real life, there is little need for such worries.

Most doctors consider sex safe once the patient is feeling up for moderate exercise.

After all, “sexual activity is a moderate physical activity,” said senior author Dr. John Spertus of the University of Missouri in Kansas City.

In the study of 1,760 acute heart attack patients, less than half received information regarding sex. Women, in particular, were unlikely to receive advice on when, or if, to resume sex.

This lack of communication carried over to the bedroom. Men were 1.3 times and women 1.4 times more likely to report a diminished sex life if they hadn”t been offered advice on the subject from their doctors.

Spertus suggested that doctors, patients and their loved ones should proactively bring up questions about sex.

“The goal is to restore people”s total health. Not only by minimizing the risk of the next heart attack but also by maximizing quality of life,” Spertus said. (ANI)

Animals’ sex-life inspires Nicolas Cage to eat their meat!

London, May 19 (ANI): Nicolas Cage has revealed that he will only eat meat from those animals that have a ‘dignified’ way of having sex.

The Hollywood star, 46, says he won”t touch pork because he doesn’t like the way pigs romp.

Instead, he scoffs poultry and fish because he finds their love lives more tasteful.

“I love all animals. I have a fascination with fish, birds, whales – sentient life – insects, reptiles. I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex,” the Sun quoted Wacky Cage, who won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas, as saying.

“I think fish are very dignified with sex. So are birds.

“But pigs, not so much. So I don”t eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl,” he added. (ANI)

Having sex injures 18 million Brits in a year!

London, May 8 (ANI): Having sex can end up causing more pain than expected – researchers have found about 18 million Britons have injured themselves during or after a romp.

Pulled muscles followed by back injuries, carpet burns and bruised elbows and knees are some of the most common complaints, reports The Daily Express.

Boffins found the bedroom to be only the fifth most dangerous place to have sex.

The stairs came second in the danger list, followed by the car and the shower.

One in ten people or their partner fell off the bed. One in 50 toppled off the washing machine, according to the poll of 1,000 adults by phonepiggybank.com.

Some got hurt making love in the loo, or in a cupboard at work.

Two per cent of the total polled were left with broken bones after sex. (ANI)

Bristol Palin goes clubbing after Prevent Teen Pregnancy event

New York, May 7 (ANI): Bristol Palin went clubbing after spending Wednesday morning celebrating the National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.

“Bristol was there around 1 a.m. with friends,” a partygoer at NYC hot spot 1Oak says. “She was trying to have fun, but she looked like she was terrified that people would recognize her and start gawking. It seems like she couldn”t even relax.”

“For me personally, [abstinence] is the answer,” Bristol said at the daytime event. “And for teens out there, yeah, having sex has consequences, no matter how safe you are.”

Palin, 19, is raising 16-month-old son Tripp alone, reports The New York Daily News. (ANI)

Malaysian man jailed for having threesome with minor

Kuala Lumpur, May 4 (ANI): A Malaysian man has been sentenced to seven months jail for involving a girl under the age of 16 in a threesome with him and his fiancee.

Kwek Yui Lam, 22, admitted to two counts of having sex with the 14-year-old girl last December, and had a third similar charge taken into consideration, reports the Star Online.

The victim’s mother had rented the flat for her to live in since October as the girl could not get along with her mother’s new family, and Kwek and his fiancee moved in from December 1.

According to Assistant Public Prosecutor Olivine Lin, one night, Kwek asked the victim if she wanted to play “3P”, slang for threesome, and the victim agreed.

Kwek had sex with his fiancee, followed by the victim, and then with the fiancee again.

But after the incident, the fiancee told him not to have sex with the girl again as she regretted “sharing” him with someone else.

But Kwek had sex with the victim when they were alone at home on December 24.

He could have been jailed for up to five years and fined up to RM24,000 on each charge. (ANI)

Couple charged over sexual act on tour bus in Sweden

London, April 29 (ANI): A couple, who is alleged to have had sex on a tour bus in front of 50 passengers, has been prosecuted in Sweden.

The two, a female musician and male estate agent, could not keep their hands off each other and began getting “intimate” despite travelling with dozens of passengers who looked on uncomfortably.

A local paper reported how one woman had desperately tried to distract her teenage daughter as groans of “give it to me, big boy” and “full speed ahead, you animal” filled the bus.

The incident in southern Sweden in August last year forced the driver to eventually pull over at a police station where he marched them inside.

They denied having sex and said they were just being “friendly”.

“I don’t understand anything. We did not have sex. She stroked me on my tummy just inside my shirt,” the Sun quoted the male passenger as saying.

The pair has been charged with committing sexual acts in public and face fines if convicted. (ANI)

What women think while having sex

London, Apr 28 (ANI): A Hollywood hunk, ex-lovers, a blue film scene and even what to buy in a grocery store—these are things that women think of while having sex.

Some women have now revealed what really scores with them between the sheets.

Single comedian Shazia Mirza, 34, said that some of her friends revealed that during sex they are mentally writing a to-do list, remembering clothes they have to wash, what they”ve got to buy at Tesco”s or those shoes they love in Selfridges.

And some women even think of men they secretly fantasise of.

“A friend of mine, who really loves her husband, told me that during sex she can”t help thinking about all the men she secretly really desires, like Jeremy Beadle and Jeremy Paxman,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

“I”ve been married twice and had many lovers and to be honest, with past lovers I”ve been so bored in bed, I”ve taken to compiling mental grocery lists and calculating exactly how many shoes are in the wardrobe (82 pairs),” said author Kathy Lette, 51.

“Most wives are taken for granted. But how we”d LIKE to be taken is by a muscular-thighed Adonis with pecs appeal.

“Luckily sex with Johnny Depp is only the flick of a light switch away. Ah, Johnny – a man whose sex appeal is so deadly it should be registered at police headquarters as a lethal weapon.

“Doing the horizontal tango with George Clooney is also amazing – if only he”d been with me at the time!” she added.

Sarah Millican, 33, is in a relationship, and she said: “I never walk out of a film at the cinema. I”m the same with sex. I always think it might get better. To be honest, as long as I”ve got a bag of Maltesers, I”m not going anywhere.” (ANI)

Have more sex to avoid illness, Brazilians told

London, Apr 27 (ANI): Engage regularly in physical exercise, and particularly in sexual intercourse, to fight off chronic illness, Brazil’s health minister has advised the general public.

“People need to be active. A weekend football game must not be the only physical activity for a Brazilian. Adults need to do exercise: walk, dance and have safe sex,” said Jose Gomes Temporao.

It was while launching a campaign to prevent high blood pressure, that the minister gave the advice, reports The Telegraph.

Temporao then defended his promotion of sexual intercourse to journalists, according to the G1 news website.

“It”s not a joke. It”s serious. Having regular physical exercises also means sex, always with protection of course,” he said.

“Dancing, having sex, keeping weight under control, changing dietary habits, doing physical exercise” all help keep blood pressure down, he said. (ANI)

Baseball coach claims he slept with Larry King”s wife

New York, April 21 (ANI): Hector Penate, a former Little League coach to the sons of Larry King, claims to have had a fling with the CNN star”s estranged wife Shawn Southwick.

He added that King didn”t seem to care much about the affair since he was having an affair with Southwick”s sister, Shannon Engemann.

“I still think to this day that Larry is in love with Shawn”s sister,” the New York Post quoted Penate, as telling In Touch mag.

Penate, 31, says he and Southwick, 50, started having sex two-and-a-half weeks after they met in 2007, when he was the baseball coach for the pair”s sons, Chance, 11, and Cannon, 9.

He said: “We had sex in Larry”s bed — a lot.

“I had sex with Shawn while Larry was on TV. Our sex life was real good.”

According to Penate, Southwick wanted to get pregnant with his child.

He said: “She was trying to fertilize her eggs to do that.”

Penate claims Southwick showered him with gifts, including a BMW 7 Series, and even paid his rent.

Moreover, Southwick asked King to co-sign the lease for Penate”s Studio City, Calif., apartment, says Penate.

Penate said: “She controlled him.

“He just sat there and signed it.”

Penate says King didn”t mind his affair with Southwick as the telly host was romancing her sister, Engemann, 45.

Penate said: “He told me one time, ”Have you ever seen Shannon?” After I said that I had never met her, he said, ”Oh, oh — she”s really gorgeous!” ”

However, Southwick has earlier rubbished all reports of an affair with Penate, and Engemann has denied having an affair with King.

King”s rep has kept mum over the issue. (ANI)

Brit girl risks Dubai jail by telling cops she was raped after boozy night out

London, April 19 (ANI): A British girl is said to have risked being jailed in Dubai by telling cops that she was raped after a boozy night out.

The 24-year-old trading company executive, who has been identified only as Lucy, said that the 30-year-old Arab man insisted on giving her a lift home after a night out drinking with pals at the Dubai Marina.

And then he allegedly drove her to the remote area and attacked her, before taking her back to her flat and raping her again on her bed.

The accused man told police that she agreed to sleep with him, and now if her account of what happened is not believed, she could face prison for drinking and having sex outside marriage in the strict Muslim state.

“She told police she screamed and cried out begging him to stop during both attacks which were entirely against her will,” the Sun quoted a Dubai court source as saying.

“She went straight to the nearest police station and reported the sex attack at 3.20am the same day,” the source said.

Cops were immediately able to find the alleged attacker, named only as Saif, as the woman had saved his mobile number when they were introduced earlier in the night.

“The case will be heard in full before a judge who will decide who is telling the truth, but the girl may face difficulties if her story is not believed,” the source revealed.

“She is still regarded as the victim at this stage, though she has already admitted being drunk, which is itself an offence in Dubai.

“And if the court finds in the man”s favour, she could face a charge of having unlawful sex as well which might land her in jail for a year followed by deportation,” the source added.

The alleged rape in January is the latest to spark anxiety among ex-pats in Dubai.

A date for the rape trial will be set later this year. (ANI)

Indian-origin Oz doc gets deregistered for having sex with ”nymphomaniac” patient

Sydney, April 17 (ANI): An Indian-origin doctor in Australia is said to have been deregistered after he had a sexual affair with a ”nymphomaniac” patient of his.

When Dr Naresh Parajuli was told by his patient that she “might be a nymphomaniac” he continued seeing her, and even engaged in sexually suggestive conversations with her.

The patient even handed the married doctor her mobile phone number, and during one consultation at the practice in regional NSW, the woman complained of pain caused by sexual activity, but declined to have a female chaperone present during the examination.

She asked him why he had not called her yet and made a suggestive comment before they discussed her sexual preferences.

He called her the following evening and the pair arranged for him to meet at her home the next night, when he arrived with a bottle of wine before they had sex.

The woman continued to visit him at work where he granted her unnecessary doctor”s certificates and bulk-billed her when it was not appropriate to do so.

But the woman”s interest seemed to cool in the last week of June when Dr Parajuli called her up to seven times hoping to arrange more sex.

In early July she made an appointment to see him and arrived with a friend who said she had recorded the pair having sex and would expose him unless he paid 100,000 dollars.

The friend said she had also recorded their telephone conversations.

Dr Parajuli was forced to admit the relationship to the police and was deregistered this week for professional misconduct.

The woman”s friend was charged with demanding money by threat and after pleading guilty was sentenced to a term of imprisonment.

The NSW Medical Tribunal found Dr Parajuli”s abuse of power was likely to be particularly damaging to the patient, who was an illicit drug user, exhibited problematic sexual behaviour and had experienced family law issues concerning her children.

“Far from being a mitigating factor … the patient”s inappropriate sexual advances to the practitioner only emphasised her vulnerability,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted the tribunal as stating.

Dr Parajuli moved from the area and, since 2008, had joined a new practice where he disclosed his past and was being mentored by a senior doctor, the court heard.

He had also consulted a psychiatrist to help him understand boundaries between doctors and patients.

The tribunal accepted that Dr Parajuli was remorseful but it found he did not fully appreciate his misconduct and was therefore at some risk of a future transgression.

It directed that Dr Parajuli be deregistered and ordered him to pay the costs of the Health Care Complaints Commission, which had brought the case against him. (ANI)

Female HMAS Success sailors ‘grabbed and threatened’

A Defence inquiry into allegations of sexual misconduct on board HMAS Success has been told a group of senior sailors believed they were untouchable.

A commission of inquiry is underway in Sydney into claims young female sailors on board HMAS Success were pressured into having sex.

The ship’s former deputy commander Donna Muller has told the inquiry today that a woman was sexually assaulted and a pair engaged in a public sex act.

Commander Muller said she had been told a junior sailor later grabbed two women around their throats and threatened them against speaking out.

She said as problems escalated, the ship felt so unsafe she was uneasy walking around on deck.

Commander Muller also said there was a drinking culture on board from the start of the voyage.

She told the inquiry how a KFC bucket was found in the garbage containing syringes, steroid packets and bags with powder residue inside.

Four male sailors were later removed from HMAS Success.

Dutch national Heum says he is not guilty

Chennai, Feb 27 (ANI): William Heum, the Dutch national, who was arrested last year in November under the new IT Act for digital child pornography has claimed innocence.

Speaking to the media persons here on Friday, Heum sought assistance from the Dutch Embassy, saying they should help him. He said the embassy is in constant touch with his lawyer.

Heum, 56, was earlier granted bail by the Saidapet Metropolitan Court in Chennai with a directive that he should appear before the cyber crime wing of the Tamil Nadu Police once in a week.

The cyber crime wing had arrested Heum on November 7 last year for uploading child pornographic content on the Internet.

Pornographic CDs and other incriminating documents used in the process were also recovered during the raid.

Heum however, claims he was arrested for being a social worker.

Heum was previously arrested by the Mahabalipuram Police in 2002 and charged with having sex with minors.

That trial is still on. (ANI)

A third of Brits would have sex with anyone for £1m: Study

London, March 26 (ANI): A new survey has shown that almost a third of Brits would have sex with anybody for 1 million pounds.

In the Durex British Sex Survey 2010, 65 per cent said that they would never cheat on their partner.

However, the poll of more than 12,000 people online showed that 45 per cent of have enjoyed phone sex.

“It all makes pretty steamy reading,” the Sun quoted Durex spokeswoman Ruth Gresty as saying.

The study also revealed that 14 per cent of Brits secretly think about their ex when they are having sex and five per cent think about a workmate.

The average Brit now has sex three to four times a week and has slept with between two and five people.

A promiscuous two per cent claim to have bedded more than 100 lovers.

In the survey, 22 per cent confessed to never using a condom. (ANI)

‘Public sex, roid rage’ on HMAS Success

A Defence inquiry in Sydney has heard evidence of steroid abuse, public sex acts and inappropriate relationships among crew members on board HMAS Success.

Lieutenant Dianne Markowski, a Navy equity and diversity officer, is giving evidence at an inquiry into allegations of unacceptable behaviour aboard the ship.

She was sent to conduct behaviour workshops aboard HMAS Success in May last year.

In a statement to the inquiry, Lieutenant Markowski detailed a number of incidents she had been informed about as a result of the workshops.

In one case she was told two junior sailors had engaged in a public sex act in a Chinese bar.

A crew member had overheard two senior sailors talking about the incident. One of them had spoken about using an item in the bar as a megaphone to encourage other sailors to come and watch.

In another incident, a junior female sailor was allegedly assaulted by a male sailor during a steroid-fuelled rage.

The statement also outlined an incident involving a senior male sailor propositioning a female sailor for sex. The woman was allegedly told she would have a bounty placed on her head if she did not cooperate.

There was evidence in the statement about a group of three male sailors being overheard gloating about having sex with their female colleagues.

It is alleged the sailors were discussing details about the genitals of female sailors as a way to confirm they had slept with them.

Lieutenant Markowski said she was also approached by a junior female sailor who was so drunk during a stopover in Manila she could not recall whether she had consented to sex with a senior sailor.

The Lieutenant said the sailor felt extremely embarrassed when she woke up in a hotel room next to the man and she could not remember how the situation had come about.

Feared for safety

Lieutenant Markowski said one male sailor told her he had been threatened by a chief petty officer and he feared for his safety.

She told the inquiry the sailor had been extremely stressed and upset and feared that making a formal complaint would ruin his career.

The chief petty officer, along with three other male crew members, were removed from the ship when it docked in Singapore.

In evidence to the inquiry yesterday, the Commanding Officer of HMAS Success, Commander Simon Brown, said the sailors were ordered off because he believed they had made threats of physical violence against other sailors and he wanted to ensure the safety of his crew.

Under cross-examination, Lieutenant Markowski told the inquiry there was a “ship-wide acknowledgment” that a predatory culture existed on board HMAS Success.

She said the male marine technician Petty Officers were particularly negative during the training sessions she conducted to reinforce workplace values and they did not want to participate.

But the Lieutenant denied she took a confrontational approach to the group and accused the officers of failing to do their jobs.

Jesse James fast catching up with Tiger Woods in sexcapades race

New York, March 25 (ANI): After tattoo model Michelle McGee, a new woman has reportedly come forward and alleged that she had a two year affair with Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James.

The ‘Monster Garage’ star seems to be fast catching up with golfer Tiger Woods who recently apologised for his alleged affairs as many as 15 women.

Melissa Smith, who is over-tattooed as McGee, has claimed that she first got in touch with the TV mechanic through MySpace in 2006.

She insists that they later had unprotected sex numerous times.

Smith revealed that James got physically intimate with her on his office couch when she visited him in California.

“I said, ”Well, I guess I should get going, ‘You don”t have to,’ and moved his chair closer to me and started rubbing my leg. We ended up having sex on his couch,” the New York Daily News quoted Melissa as telling Star magazine.

Meanwhile, James” ex-wife, former porn star Janine Lindemulder, said he had called her two weeks after his marriage to ‘The Blind Side’ actress to tell that he had made a mistake.

Lindemulder told In Touch magazine: “I feel sorry for Sandra because she was so in love with Jesse that she was blind and gullible.

“(Bullock) once said, ”I finally have a man who has my back.” And all I could think was, ”No, you have this man who does it behind your back””.

James and Bullock have been married since 2005. (ANI)

Sailors threatened with ‘mafia-style’ tactics

The former commanding officer of the Navy ship HMAS Success has told an inquiry a small group resorted to “mafia-style” tactics to prevent people speaking out about a sex scandal.

The inquiry had already heard that young female sailors were pressured into having sex and now Commander Simon Brown has said there were threats of violence.

It was rumoured that men who hoped to have sex with new women on board put bounties on their heads.

In April last year, during a goodwill voyage through Asia, three female crew members went to Cdr Brown with complaints of sexual misconduct.

They told Cdr Brown there was a predatory culture on board and younger female crew members were being coerced and bullied into having sex.

Cdr Brown was questioned at the inquiry about how he handled the allegations.

In a report to Navy command, he wrote: “There is a small group at the centre of these activities who feel they are untouchable.”

The inquiry has heard that four sailors were removed from the ship. One of them was Chief Petty Officer Jason Thomas.

His military lawyer, Colonel Gary Hevey, asked whether Cdr Brown had kept notes of his conversation with the three women who made the complaint.

Cdr Brown said he did not because things were happening too quickly.

The inquiry heard Cdr Brown did alert the Navy’s senior command and an equity and diversity officer was sent to investigate.

But Cdr Brown said a small group on board used “mafia-style” tactics to silence people.

He said there were threats of violence and the group was organised.

Colonel Hevey suggested that Cdr Brown was exaggerating, but Cdr Brown said that was not his intent.

Chief Petty Officer Thomas watched on from the front row of the gallery.

Before he was removed from the ship he had had an exemplary record and received a commanding officer’s commendation in 2008.

HMAS Success plays a special role in the Navy, supplying food, fuel and ammunition to other ships at sea.

Success was launched with great fanfare in March 1984 but not everything went to plan; the bottle of champagne used to christen the ship bounced off the hull.

More than two decades later the ship is still sailing but not that smoothly.

In his message to Navy command last year, Cdr Brown said the ship was broken. He said it had a rotten core that had to be removed.

The hearing continues.

Brit girl finds porn on her repaired mobile

London, Mar 24 (ANI): A British student is said to have been left horrified after the mobile she sent for repair came back full of porn.

Lauren Kennedy, 18, found her Nokia packed with sleazy homemade videos of couples and groups having sex and women pleasuring themselves.

The phone contained 13 pictures of young women in lingerie and 10 videos between five and 10 minutes long featuring a variety of X-rated scenes.

Kennedy, from Coventry, says she was “deeply traumatised” by the images she discovered on the handset after she sent it for repair to Carphone Warehouse because it kept cutting out mid-call.

“I was disgusted. I wouldn’t have rubbish like that on my mobile. I’m a young girl, I don’t want naked pictures on my phone,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.

“I think it’s revolting that somebody has had their filthy paws on my mobile phone. They have recorded themselves doing everything.

“You can only see the women and not the person recording it, but you can hear him egging them on,” she added.

The company has offered Lauren a new Blackberry Curve as compensation.

A spokesman apologised and said the firm has launched an “urgent investigation”. (ANI)
