Sarenza Employees Turn Models for a Day to Pose for New Women’s Shoes Campaign

PARIS, FRANCE, Jul 05 (MARKET WIRE) —
The online shoe shop Sarenza has enlisted the help of 8 of its female
employees recently, to model the latest shoes and handbags chosen by
their expert buyers in their new campaign.

The women, who all have different tastes, were chosen for this very
reason as they each represent a particular style in the photo shoot. The
company, who have claimed to be very people-oriented in the past, said
that the idea came from realising they have their own fashionistas
in-house.

There are 60 employees altogether working at Sarenza – 45 of who are
women. So when they asked for volunteers to try on the very latest trends
in womens shoes by some of the most exciting designers, there was no
shortage of offers with the women vying for the chance to choose their
favourites to model.

The ages of the women were mixed, plus their job roles too showing such
diversity varying from web design to finance. Sarenza’s aim for the
campaign was to show how the designs can be interpreted into different,
busy lifestyles of women with various persuasions in fashion, in everyday
life and in real jobs instead of just shooting models in dream locations.

The eight themes or styles of the campaign are called Miss Rock n Roll,
Yummy Mummy, Casual French Chic, Fashion Mixer, Classic & Spicy, Dolce
Vita, Retro & Romantic and Preppy Girl. So there is definitely something
for everybody. Each model has been given the opportunity to define their
style in a short paragraph so that visitors to the online shoe shop can
see which one they identify most with. Then customers can view their
‘wish lists’, revealing more of their favourite womens designer shoes
from the site and perhaps suggesting a few more designs they might be
interested in.

The experience has been such a success that the company have stated there
may be more to come – this time trying to persuade eight of the 15 men
who work for Sarenza to model in a similar campaign and maybe after that
a photo shoot with customers. For the time being though, the Sarenza
women are the stars and prove that the company really do love fashion
with these stylish employees carving the way!

Commuters strip off on London Underground to promote new show!

Melbourne, May 18 (ANI): Passengers on the London Underground were said to have been left in shock after four workers rode the escalator and tube without clothes.

The foursome, who covered their modesty with handbags and briefcases, attracted stares and gasps but acted as if the nothing was out of the ordinary

They were out promoting a new TV series, ‘The Naked Office’, which shows workers at struggling companies turning their businesses around.

Despite it seeming a gimmick, Steven Suphi, a behaviour change specialist, said that there was merit in workers stripping off in the office.

“For most people in the UK going to work in the nude is a very daunting prospect,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Suphi as telling Britain’s Daily Mail.

“I believe this extreme process will help them push their boundaries and become a close team that trust each other enough to get naked together,” Suphi added. (ANI)

Lindsay Lohan to design handbag collection for Ed Hardy

New York, Mar 24 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan is in talks to design a handbag collection for Ed Hardy.

According to E! Online reports, the ‘Mean Girls’ star, who was given the boot from Emanuel Ungaro after producing an unimpressive collection for the fashion brand, will be working for the debunked reality star”s favourite clothing line—Ed Hardy.

“Lindsay and the design team at Ed Hardy have mutual friends, and they knew she was interested in looking for a handbag license and partner. They thought she”d be a good fit and so did she,” the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying.

The 23-year-old actress”, who currently has her own line of leggings called 6126, reportedly has three collections in development with the L.A.-based clothing company, with many more expected in the future.

“Lindsay is very directly involved with the project, and she”s always pulling things online and from magazines for ideas,” added the source.

It will be the first time Lindsay will be working behind the scenes on handbags for a brand.

She has modelled for Dooney & Bourke in 2004, and again for Jill Stuart in 2007. (ANI)

Gisele Bundchen expecting baby in December?

Washington, June 25 (ANI): If sources are to be believed, ‘pregnant’ Gisele Bundchen is due to give birth on December 14.

The supermodel’s recent photograph with her hubby Tom Brady leaving a New York obstetrician’s office has been the source of speculation for the pregnancy.

To add to it, she also wore baggy clothes during a catwalk at Sao Paulo fashion week and appeared in a new advert campaign for Loewe with oversized handbags hiding her stomach.

“Gisele has always wanted to be a mom, and she is deeply in love with Tom. This is the happiest she’s ever been,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling Life and Style Weekly magazine.

While on TV show Fantastico, Gisele hinted she was ready to have a baby after revealing she loves helping to care for Tom’s 21-month-old son John from a previous relationship.

Bundchen said: “I am crazy about children. I am an adoptive mother. I’ve already had this experience for two years.” (ANI)

Karl Lagerfeld defends fur industry

London, Jan 4 (ANI): Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has defended the fur industry saying ”beasts” in the wild would “kill us if they could.”

The 75-year-old mogul said in a radio interview that while he himself does not wear fur, an entire industry depends on the trend to make a living.

He added that the animals should be killed “nicely” if possible, reports the Telegraph.

The supreme, who defended the fur practice, saying there was “an industry who lives from that”, insisted that it was “childish” to even discuss the issue of wearing fur in a world where eating meat was normal.

Hunters in the north “make a living having learnt nothing else than hunting”, he said, “killing those beasts who would kill us if they could.”

“I can hardly eat meat because it has to look like something what it was not when it was alive,” he said.

He concluded: “In a meat-eating world, wearing leather for shoes and clothes and even handbags, the discussion of fur is childish.”

In an interview on the Radio 4 Today programme, Lagerfeld also said the issue of size zero models was insignificant compared to the “zillions” of fat people.

But he said: “In France there are, I think, less than one per cent of people who are too skinny.

“There are nearly 30 per cent of young people who are too fat. So let”s take care of the zillions of the too fat before we talk about the percentage that”s left.” (ANI)
