Kellie Pickler’s flirty relationship with Cowell raises eyebrows on ‘American Idol’

Washington, Apr 9 (ANI): ‘American Idol’ contestant Kellie Pickler’s flirty relationship with music mogul Simon Cowell has raised many eyebrows, especially after the judge called her a “naughty minx”.

The bonding the two shared is said to have caused problems with Cowell’s then-girlfriend Terri Seymour, and for Pickler making a guest appearance on the FOX show has left her feeling nervous.

“I haven’t seen Paula, Randy or Simon since I was last on Idol,” Fox News quoted her as saying.

“But everyone keeps saying that it’s easier for me going back on and not being judged, but everybody judges me. It’s harder – there are higher expectations now,” she said.

But the two have left people wondering about what they talk about, as apparently Cowell can’t understand her Southern speak and she can’t catch his British banter.

“Simon and I always have fun together, but what’s hilarious is the communication barrier,” she said.

“He can’t understand what I say and I don’t understand what he says,” she added. (ANI)

Elton John, David Furnish team up for alien flick

Washington, Feb 18 (ANI): Legendary musician Elton John has teamed up with his partner David Furnish to produce a rather nonconformist alien flick, which will show aliens mixing with Jane Austen characters.

While the Rocket Films production company bosses have given the venture, which will show an extraterrestrial space-craft landing in 18th century Britain, a green signal, Furnish seems thrilled to begin working on the flick aptly titled ‘Pride and Predator’.

“It felt like a fresh and funny way to blow apart the done-to-death Jane Austen genre by literally dropping this alien into the middle of a costume drama, where he stalks and slashes to horrific effect,” Contactmusic quoted Furnish as saying.

Elton will take care of the flick’s soundtrack, and executive produce the movie, which begins filming in London later this year (09).

Meanwhile, Elton was in news for reportedly making a guest appearance on rap icon Eminem’s comeback album. (ANI)

Sir Elton John may appear on Eminem’s comeback album

London, Feb 6 (ANI): English singer songwriter Elton John is reportedly making a guest appearance on rap icon Eminem’s comeback album.

The two had performed a duet together at the Grammy Awards back in 2001, and insiders claim they have reunited to record a track on Relapse, the rapper’s first new album in five years.

Rumours about the two collaborating on an album began to circulate from Eminem’s native Detroit, Michigan last October, after John visited the city while recording for the album was being done.

“No one realised the significance, though the Detroit Free Press did mention that Elton had been in town. Elton really gets his music,” the Daily Express quoted a source as telling British newspaper the Independent.

“Anything they produce will be total dope: some of Em’s biggest records have been collaborations with mainstream pop stars – Dido on ‘Stan’, for example – and they really don’t come much bigger, or more mainstream, than the man with the red piano,” the source added.

‘Relapse’ will be released later this year. (ANI)
