Paul Gray, 38, was found dead on May 25 at a hotel near Des Moines, Iowa, the hometown of the band who always appear in public in grotesque masks, beat each other up on stage and call their fans “maggots.” Gray co-founded the band in 1995.

An autopsy conducted by the Polk County Medical Examiner’s Office also found that Gray suffered from “significant heart disease,” according to a statement released by the Urbandale police department.

After Gray’s death the eight surviving members of the band shocked fans by appearing in public for the first time without their trademark masks and coveralls to pay tribute to him. They were accompanied by Gray’s wife Brenna who is pregnant with their first child.

Slipknot topped the charts in the United States, Britain and Australia with its most recent album, 2008′s “All Hope Is Gone.” The band won a Grammy in 2004 for its song “Before I Forget.”

The band also became notorious for its performances in which members often broke each other’s bones, set each other on fire, and injured their fans after diving into the crowd.

Winehouse, Fielder-Civil ‘to be given quickie divorce today’

London, July 16(ANI): Amy Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil will be given a quickie divorce today after a two-yearlong tumultuous relationship.

The couple are to be granted Decree Nisi (non-absolute ruling) in the Family Division of the High Court.

However, they need to wait six weeks and one day before their divorce is officially finalised and a Decree Absolute is granted.

The development is expected to relieve the ‘Back to Black’ singer whose marriage was marked with violence.

In fact on one occasion Amy was spotted with her ballet slippers soaked in blood after a fight with Blake at the Sanderson hotel in August 2007.

“She is ready to move on following the end of the marriage. She has not had any contact with Blake for months and is focusing on the future. She’s finishing off her album and in good health,” the Mirror quoted her spokesman as saying.

Meanwhile, on being asked if she was happy to return to England after her long stay in St. Lucia, the Grammy Award winning singer replied “I don’t give a f***.”

The couple had first met in a pub in Camden, North London, in 2005 before they eloped to Miami to get married. (ANI)

Jacko fans pay tribute in Mumbai and Siliguri

New Delhi, June 28 (ANI): Michael Jackson fans in Mumbai and Siliguri paid tribute to the pop star whose musical genius was overshadowed by a bizarre lifestyle and sex scandals.

Scores of fans, including singers like Rageshwari, gathered at Mumbai’s Juhu Enigma where choreographer Sandip Soparrkar and model Jesse Randhawa paid tribute to the pop legend by performing his music numbers.

Depressed fans lit candles, sang carols and observed silence for the music genius, who died on Friday aged 50.

“I did the first launch of Michael Jackson’s music in the country, it provide me great support and whatever I am today it is because of that launch that happened. It was his support that I would say…so I am here to say that I love you (MJ) very much and I always miss your music,” said Soparrkar.

“I was five-years old when I was introduced to Michael Jackson music, I used to dress like him whenever I performed, my musicians, my dancers were great fan of him…my father has translated many Michael Jackson’s songs in Hindi, so for me it is a personal loss,” added Rageshwari.

Fans in Siliguri placed floral wreaths in front of his photographs and observed silence in the memory of history’s biggest pop star.

“I was shocked after hearing the news of his (Michael Jackson) death…I am a great fan of him and I grew up by watching his videos…I never thought that he would leave us so suddenly,” said Sonia Roy.

Jackson dominated the charts in the 1980s and sold an estimated 750 million records, a figure that is likely to rise with the expected posthumous re-release of his hits. “Thriller”, which came out in 1982, remains the best-selling album of all time.

Jackson also won 13 Grammy Awards, made boundary-breaking music videos and his slick dance moves were imitated by legions of fans, and fellow pop stars, around the world. (ANI)

Jacko’s death leaves Pak stars shocked and depressed

Islamabad, Jun 27 (ANI): Pakistani stars have expressed their shock and depression over the demise of King of Pop Michael Jackson.

The stars had nothing but praise for Jacko, and said that the late singer’s style, music and dance had inspired and influenced many in the music industry.

“The showbiz world is shocked and depressed on the sad demise of Michael Jackson, a legend to live in the music industry forever,” the Nation quoted Fakhar-e-Alam, a renowned Pakistani vocalist and anchor, as saying.

“The style of dance and music that Michael Jackson introduced to the world is unmatchable, and is not expected to be repeated by anyone else in the ages to come.

“MJ never compromised on his music, dance and style that is why the best of music and dance came out from his untiring struggle. His high-energy performances used to intoxicate his music lovers.

“He had the honour of having unbeatable world record for selling over 750 million legitimate copies in addition to the pirated ones, showing his all time unmatchable popularity,” he added.

Jawad Ahmed, another renowned Pakistani singer, expressed his grief over the sad demise of Michael Jackson, and said that he was a singer of high calibre.

“The popularity he gained is unmatchable. Since early 1980s, he ruled the music world. Even the non-English speaking people used to enjoy his music,” he said.

“His 11 songs remained number one for many weeks on music charts. He won Grammy award for 11 times. Like the music in other parts of the world, he also inspired and influenced the Pakistani music.

“Many of the singers in Pakistan followed his music beats to listeners’ delight,” he added.

Riffat Ara Baig, a teacher at Lahore Grammar School, said that the younger generation was still very crazy about Michael Jackson, and that students at her school arranged a function to pay tribute to him.

The students wore similar costumes like the ones Jackson used to wear, and performed to his music.

“Michael Jackson would be remembered forever,” Baig added. (ANI)

Indian fans mourn Michel Jackson’s death

New Delhi/ Mumbai, June 26 (ANI): Indian fans of Michael Jackson have expressed grief and shock at the sudden death of the Pop star whose musical genius overshadowed by a bizarre lifestyle and sex scandals.

As the news bulletins, radio airwaves and social networking sites remained flooded with tributes for a man called the “King of Pop” and “natural heir to Elvis”, Bollywood actor Govinda recalled that Michael Jackson used to be his favourite during college days.

“I want to say that when we were in college we used to hear a lot about Michael Jackson and used to appreciate him a lot. And we used to talk about him that he is a great star and he reached to that height. We heard a lot about his surgeries and he has always been in news. But all I can say is that god give his soul peace,” said Govinda.

Jacko’s fans in New Delhi expressed grief and shock over his death.

“Michael Jackson death has really shocked his fans across the world. I think he was this century’s greatest singer and dancer. He was also aiming for a return… comeback but I guess that wont happen now. I really feel saddened because of his death,” said Malvin, a local.

“Michael Jackson had fans not only in America but also all over the world. And his death that too at an early age is very-very shocking,” said Akshay Kapoor, another local.

The 50-year-old, whose towering musical legacy was tarnished by often-bizarre behaviour and sex scandals, was pronounced dead on Thursday after arriving at a Los Angeles hospital in full cardiac arrest.

The self-styled “King of Pop,” whose hits included “Thriller” and “Billie Jean,” leaves behind a mountain of debt and an unfulfilled series of comeback concerts set for London in July. Many hoped the shows would rake in millions and erase his financial troubles.

But his preference for the company of children, high-pitched voice, numerous plastic surgeries and life as a virtual recluse earned him many critics and the nickname “Wacko Jacko.” (ANI)

Chris Brown’s ‘Not My Fault’ not about Rihanna, says rep

Washington, June 25 (ANI): A representative for Chris Brown has slammed reports that the singer posted a song online about his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.umours started making rounds after a new set of tunes recorded by Brown appeared online – with one of the tracks, ‘Not My Fault’, apparently hinting at the row on the eve of the Grammy Awards in February (09) that left Rihanna battered and bruised.

However, a spokesperson for Brown’s label, Jive Records, has denied that the songs were recorded around the time of the attack or after the court case on 22 June (09) – insisting they are old demos.

“Countering misleading reports of ‘new’ Chris Brown music: there are no ‘new’ songs from Chris Brown currently being promoted by Chris or his record label,” Contactmusic quoted the rep as saying in a statement.

“There are several old demos circulating that are being falsely promoted as new material from Chris,” the rep added.

Brown has been sentenced to six months community service, five years probation and ordered not to go within 50 yards of Rihanna. (ANI)

Amy Winehouse ‘to move to St.Lucia for good’

London, June 21 (ANI): Amy Winehouse is planning to settle in the Caribbean island, St. Lucia, sources say.

“Amy loves St Lucia and never wants to leave. She thinks the island has done her the world of good and she’s writing more than ever,” News of the World quoted a source as saying.

The Back to Black singer stayed in St Lucia for 71 days last year to avoid drugs she did in London.

Now, Amy, apparently, is trying to get herself officially recognised as St.Lucia’s citizen. We are aware of Amy wanting to live here on a permanent basis. We have received an application and are looking into it,” an official of St. Lucia said.

However, some believe that the Grammy Award winner is trying to trick the English government from paying her taxes since Brits have to spend less than 183 days in the UK to avoid paying their taxes.

“She’s paid tens of thousands in tax already but she sees that she can avoid another huge bill. She’ll be able to keep a larger slice of her fortune this way,” an insider revealed.

However, the citizens of St. Lucia are not too keen on Winehouse settling in their island.

RJ Sam Flood of St. Lucia said: “This woman has brought over all her nastiness to our shores and she is allowed to get away with it.

“Our youths need positive role models and people who can make a meaningful contribution to our society and Amy doesn’t fit into this.” (ANI)

Winehouse axes ‘emotionally painful’ UK comeback gig

London, May 23 (ANI): Amy Winehouse has cancelled her comeback concert in the UK, claiming it was too “emotionally painful” for her to perform.

The troubled singer was slated to take to the stage at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on May 31 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Island record label.

But the 25-year-old, who is trying to kick her drug addiction in St Lucia while facing divorce proceedings with hubby Blake Fielder-Civil, was reportedly struggling to cope with emotions and decided to pull the plug.

“Amy is regretful about having to do this but she needs to close this chapter and start a new one,” the Sun quoted a source from her camp as saying.

Her management recently apologised for the revocation, promising fans a full refund for their tickets.

A source added: “Amy is really upset about missing the dates as Island have been so good to her. Amy understands a lot of people will be disappointed.”

The Rehab hitmaker, earlier this month, had shocked many after giving a shambled performance at St Lucia’s jazz festival, during which she could barely stand as she guzzled drinks, forgot her words then burst into tears as the crowd jeered.

The source added: “Singing the songs she sang in St Lucia has brought back too many painful memories. She just can’t face it.”

The Grammy Award-winning star had reportedly landed in the hospital for the third time in three months following another booze bender in the Caribbean.

A pal said: “She is drinking like a lunatic and there was no way she’d be ready to perform. She still has too many demons to fight. It is such a shame.” (ANI)

Yoko Ono holds back tears at press unveiling of Lennon’s NY exhibition

Washington, May 12 (ANI): John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono kept her tears from pouring while speaking about a forthcoming New York exhibition in honour of the late Beatle.

The exhibition, entitled John Lennon: The New York City Years, will feature the singer’s personal possessions public for the first time at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annex.

Items like guitars, a posthumous Grammy Award, and the star’s iconic New York City T-shirt are set to go on public display.

And Ono, who held herself together while discussing Lennon’s love for the city in which he was murdered, continues to get upset when the tragedy is mentioned.

“It (the bag) was hard to include. And I thought it might be criticised as well,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“I know it’s a kind of a sad and very poignant kind of paradox that he loved this place so much and this is where he was killed. I still get affected by it. If it (his death) was a slow a process we could have talked about it or something,” she said. (ANI)

Rihanna’s latest track hits out at Chris Brown

London, May 12 (ANI): Singer Rihanna has finally broken her dignified silence after a long time, as she has apparently lashed out at her alleged attacker Chris Brown through her latest track titled ‘Silly Boy’.

Rihanna’s pal Kanye West has posted the demo track ‘Silly Boy’ on the Internet, which is about a woman who refuses to take back her beau, who does not know how to treat her.

According to the Sun, the lyrics of the track are: “I said I’m not coming back.

You fooled me once but you can’t have that ego turning. Just too bad for you, that when you had me. Didn’t know what to do, she’s over you. Cause you had a good girl, good girl, girl. That’s a keeper. You had a good girl, good girl but didn’t know how to treat her. So silly boy get out my face. Why do you like the way regrets taste?”

There is also a reported message written on one of the photos which appears to read ‘I love you, Robyn. I miss you’.

Her former beau Chris Brown can also be purportedly seen with a pair of pink knickers on his head.

The reports come when Brown faces two felony counts after allegedly punching, choking, and biting Rihanna before the Grammy’s.

The 19-year-old rapper, who could face five years in jail if convicted, pleaded not guilty and is due to return to court on April 29. (ANI)

Rihanna ditches Chris Brown for ‘Love God’

London, May 3 (ANI): Rihanna has moved over her former “beating” beau Chris Brown and is now in the arms of her teen-flame Negus Sealy a.k.a Love God, according to reports.

The R andB lady had allegedly fallen back in love with 24-year-old Sealy, who was said to have been lending his shoulder to the 21-year-old singer after her alleged beating at the hands of Brown.

“Negus was a shoulder to cry on. He’s a really smart guy-clever, good-looking, very cool,” News of the World quoted a friend as saying.

“All the girls adore him and call him the Love God! He and Rihanna were seeing each other before she hit the big time,” the friend added.

Sources further claimed that after getting back with Negus, Rihanna, had told family and pals that she was done with Brown and that he is surely “history”.

The source added: “Rihanna and Negus both realised there was still a strong sexual attraction between them and became inseparable. Whenever Rihanna went to the beach or out partying, Negus was always there.

“They were very careful not to be seen too closely together though as they’re trying to keep their relationship secret.”

Meanwhile, Brown, who allegedly punched, choked, and bit Rihanna before the Grammy’s, has pleaded not guilty to two felony counts in a Los Angeles court last month.
