Himachal Pradesh Govt. moves to produce IT friendly business landscape

New Delhi, Sep.18 (ANI): Recognizing the enormous potential of Information Technology in acting as a catalyst for the Tier – II growth of Suburban India, The Government of Himachal Pradesh (GoHP) is moving to produce an IT friendly business landscape.

To close the technological gap and nab the marquee, various initiatives are being put in place by the GoHP. Tax Breaks, Exemption from various duties and levies and imports are certain defined benefits for the industry to set base at Himachal Pradesh.

The IT Park cum Township falls will come up in Solan District of Solan, about 20 kilometres from Shimla.

The total area of the project is 64.73 acres. The site is located at a distance of four kilometers from Kiarighat. Kiarighat is on Chandigarh – Shimla highway (NH-22) on midway between Solan and Shimla at an approximately equal distance of 23 kilometres.

Conceptualized as an Integrated Development – offering both residential and commercial options, the project’s developmental contours will include built-up IT space of 1.1 million square feet. Built to suit plots for IT in 9.5 acres of land, a township for of 1.31 million square feet, a project cost of 408 crore rupees.

Commercially structured on the Public Private Partnership format. The developer shall be responsible for designing,financing, constructing, operating, maintaining and development of the IT Park cum Township at Waknaghat.

The implementing agency will be the Department of Information Technology, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

To promote the project and the township, an investor Meet will be held in Delhi on September 23. A visit to the site will be organised on September 30, while a pre-bid meeting will be held on October 3, 2009.

The last date for submission of proposal is October 26. (ANI)

Will Sarabjeet be spared the gallows under Pak Govt.’s plans to commute death sentences?

Islamabad, Sep.17 (ANI): The Pakistan government is considering commuting death sentences, but such a step may not help the cause of Sarabjeet Singh, the Indian inmate who has been awarded a death sentence by a Lahore anti-terrorism court in October 1991.

Interior Advisor Rehman Malik said the government has sent a draft to the law division seeking legal opinion on the proposal to commute death sentences.

Rehman, however, said that even if the proposal is accepted there would be no mercy for terrorists.

“They (terrorists) will have to face the death penalty,” The Dawn quoted Malik, as saying.

According to an estimate there are 7000 death inmates in Pakistan at present.

Pakistan security agencies have maintained that Singh had admitted that he was sent to Pakistan to carry out serial bomb blasts in Lahore, Faislabad, and Kasur, and was trained by the Indian Army, and the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Singh was awarded the death sentence by a Lahore anti-terrorism court in October 1991.

He challenged the verdict in the Supreme Court, however, the apex court quashed his appeal in September, 2005, saying that the review petition was not filed within the time period as mentioned in the law.

In March 2006, a two member Supreme Court bench dismissed Singh’s petition against his conviction in the Lahore’s Yakki Gate bomb blast in 1990.

Singh has been languishing in Pakistan jails for the last 28 years, as Pakistan has stonewalled release even on humanitarian grounds, despite continuous efforts by Indian diplomatic channels. (ANI)

Govt. to help grant 150,000 illegal Indian citizens Italian citizenship: Krishna

Istanbul (Turkey), Sep.18 (ANI): In a unique landmark exercise, the Indian Government has undertaken a massive action plan to help over 150,000 illegal Indian immigrants acquire Italian citizenship within the next fortnight.

Revealing this information exclusively to ANI TV, Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna said the Italian Government has given New Delhi fifteen days to formalise the required documentation.

Krishna further revealed that about 50 percent of the over 150,000 illegal Indians hailed from Punjab and a majority of them were doing odd jobs in agricultural farms in Italy.e said the Indian Government has taken the matter up with Italy and the latter has agreed to grant citizenship to illegal immigrants.

Krishna told ANI TV that he has ordered officials from Punjab to reach Italy to facilitate the process, adding that P.M. Meena, a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, would oversee the whole exercise.

The External Affairs Ministry would be issuing over 75,000 thousand passports in the next ten days to formalise a process which is unique anywhere in the world, he disclosed.

There are three types of illegal immigrants (a) those who have left India on their own passport with short term visa and have overstayed after expiry of visa; (b) those who have left India on their own passport to a transit country like Ukraine, or Russia etc. but stayed in Italy without passport or visa and (c) those who have left on some else’s passport or under a fake identity and entered Italy illegally. Pak Govt says it is watching illegal madrassas closely

Islamabad, Sep. 9 (ANI): The Pakistan Government has told the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior that it is monitoring the activities of illegal madrassas in Islamabad.

While responding to concerns expressed by the legislators over unregistered madrassas, Chief Commissioner Fazeel Asghar said there were 140 seminaries in the city, out of which 122 were registered.

The Daily Times quoted him, as saying that the rest were operating illegally and the government was trying to get them registered soon.

The members had expressed fears that a Lal Masjid-like situation may arise if the government doesn’t take action soon.

The members, including former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, said it was a matter of great concern that 18 seminaries were still operating ‘illegally’ despite the government’s orders making registration mandatory. (ANI)

Canadian Govt to challenge racial refugee status decision

Ottawa, Sep. 4 (ANI): The Canadian Government has decided to challenge a decision by the country’s Immigration and Refugee Board, which granted refugee status to a white South African because of the colour of his skin.

Brandon Huntley, 31, who had been illegally staying in Canada from 2006, argued that his safety would be in danger if he returned to South Africa, The Globe and Mail reports.

He also claimed he’d been the victim of seven attempted robberies and called a “white dog” and “settler.” He did not report any of the incidents to police, saying he did not trust them.

His refugee claim was accepted by lone board member William Davis, who noted that Huntley had scars on his body to support his account of the attacks.

The panel’s decision infuriated South African officials who labelled Canada as “racist.”

South Africa’s top diplomat has been urging Canadian officials all week to challenge the decision in court.

On Thursday, a spokesperson for Immigration Minister Jason Kenney confirmed Ottawa will seek leave to appeal the decision that allowed Huntley to live in Canada as a refugee.

“The government is going to be seeking leave to appeal the IRB’s decision to grant Huntley refugee status [to] the Federal Court,” spokesman Alykhan Velshi said.

“Our department’s lawyers, as well as those from the Department of Justice reviewed the IRB ruling over the last several days and we’re going to seek leave to appeal and we’ll be making submissions to the court in the fullness of time, and it would be inappropriate to comment further because the matter will be before the courts.” (ANI)

Deora says Govt tried but failed to get Ambani brothers reconcile

Moscow, Sep. 2 (ANI): Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora on Wednesday said that the government tried to pacify the fighting Ambani brothers several times, but failed to bring about a reconciliation.

“We tried to bring a reconciliation, but we failed. The government had advised several times that they (Mukesh and Anil Ambani) should stop fighting,” Deora told reporters in Moscow, where he is accompanying President Pratibha Patil.

Last month, the Prime Minister’s Office had issued a similar statement.

“The Prime Minister’s general approach has been that instead of fighting, they (Ambanis) should patch up as both their groups contribute sizeably to India’s economic growth,” PMO has stated.

The two Ambani groups command about 10 per cent of collective market capitalisation of the total over 4,000 companies in the country.

“We wanted to put an end to it (gas dispute) so that the work can go on,” Deora replied after being asked about reasons for the government yesterday amend its petition in Supreme Court on the dispute between RIL and RNRL – the two firms promoted by Mukesh and Anil, respectively.

The government petition said: “It is in no way concerned with the private dispute between RIL and RNRL or between the Ambani brothers, but is only concerned with its rights as owner and regulator of natural gas.”

The original petition had sought “(the MoU) should be declared null and void.”

On the issue of gas allocation, Deora said:”We want a committee rather than the ministry to go into the issue.” (ANI)

Pak Govt asked to review blasphemy law

Islamabad, Sep. 2 (ANI): The Pakistan Government has been asked by the National Assembly Standing Committee on Human Rights to re-examine the blasphemy law so that incidents like Gojra’s anti-Christian riot can be prevented.

Human Rights Ministry Secretary Farid Khan told Committee chairman PML-Q member Riaz Fatiyana that the Gojra incident reflected “a complete failure of our system.”

The Daily Times quoted Punjab Human Rights Minister Kamran Michael as saying that the government should review the blasphemy law.

He said the law should also be used against those who levelled baseless allegations against others.

PML-N leader Javed Hashmi seconded Michael’s views, and said he regretted that people were languishing in jails for the last eight to ten years under the blasphemy law.

Fatiyana said the killings were a failure on the part of administration and intelligence agencies. He urged the government to take measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

He added that the committee will meet Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, and request him to fix a time period for trial of people arrested under blasphemy law.

Pakistan’s blasphemy law forbids-damaging a place of worship or a sacred object, outraging religious feelings, defiling the Quran and defaming Prophet Mohammed.

The Criminal Code provides penalties for blasphemy up to death and a fine.

Critics have pointed out that the blasphemy law is being used to victimise minorities. (ANI)

Nation would seek mid-term polls if govt. fails to prosecute Musharraf : PML-N leader

Islamabad, Sep.2 (ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Zafar Ali Shah has said the whole nation would demand mid-term term elections if the PPP-led government fails to try former President General Pervez Musharraf under Article Six of the Constitution.

Criticising the Gilani government for not taking any substantial action against Musharraf, Shah said he would again move a petition seeking Musharraf’s trial in the Supreme Court.

“I would again submit a petition seeking a Supreme Court ruling for the government to initiate criminal proceedings against Musharraf for high treason,” The Daily Times quoted Shah, as saying.

Shah, however, said that he had filed the petition earlier in his personal capacity and his party (PML-N) has nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile, PML-N Senior Vice President Javed Hashmi ruled out any possibility of mid-term polls in the country.

Hashmi said the PML-N respects people’s mandate and supports President Asif Ali Zardari.

“We will not support any move for mid-term elections and our party has always given due respect to President Zardari and his party’s mandate,” Hashmi said.

He termed the minus-one formula as the ‘approach of a sick mind’.

When asked about Zafar Ali Shah’s views, he said it was his personal opinion to demand for mid-term elections. (ANI)

Anand Jon’s sister seeks Govt. intervention, threatens hunger strike

New Delhi, Sep.1 (ANI): Sanjana Jon, sister of celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon has appealed to the Government to intervene in the case of her brother, failing which she would observe hunger strike.

On Monday, Los Angeles Superior Court sentenced Anand Jon to 59 years in prison for sexually assaulting aspiring models as young as 14 years in age.

Sanajana said that she would observe a hunger strike, if her pleas for help at the inter-governmental level were not paid heed to.

“My appeal is for intervention and I have said if I don’t get any help, my only resort, last resort would be to sit on a hunger strike till my voice is heard,” said Sanjana Jon.

In Bangalore, Anand Jon’s fashion designer friend and stage artiste, Prasad Bidappa expressed sorrow at the American court’s judgement.

“Anand Jon case, I find particularly sad because I feel he was truly a very good talent; somebody who, I think, was taking India’s torch forward in terms of fashion. I feel very sad that it had to come to an end like this,” said Prasad Bidappa.

Last November, thirty five-year-old Jon was found guilty of 16 counts, including rape, sexual battery and performing lewd acts on a child.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Wesley sentenced Jon to 59 years to life after denying his motions for a new trial.

Prosecutors said the crimes started in 2001 when Jon set up a fashion design business through which he lured would-be models to Los Angeles.

Later, the police got involved in March 2007 after a woman said she was sexually assaulted at his Beverly Hills apartment.on, whose full name is Anand Jon Alexander, denied the charges. His lawyers said the girls and young women were revenge seekers who had made up their stories or who had ‘invited what happened’, and that in the case, there had been least physical evidence.

The Indian-born designer was profiled on the TV show ‘America’s Next Top Model’ in 2003 and selected by Newsweek magazine as one of the world’s most successful South Asians in 2004. (ANI)

Supreme Court issues notices to CBI, Kerala Govt on Vijayan case

New Delhi, Aug 31 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Kerala Government over the state Governor’s permission to CBI to prosecute Pinarayi Vijayan.

The apex court was hearing the petition filed by Vijayan, challenging the governor’s sanction for his prosecution by the CBI.

Vijayan is the politburo member of Communist party of India (Marxist) (CPM)

A bench of the apex court comprising Justice R.V. Ravindran and Justice B.S. Sudarsan Reddy admitted Vijayan’s lawsuit directly for hearing.

The bench stated that the petition involved several important questions of law.

Vijayan is facing the charges of by passing the regulations while awarding a contract to a Canadian based company, SNC Lavalin for renovating three power plants when he was Kerala’s power minister in 1997.

The charges against Vijayan were filed in a special court after Kerala Governor R.S. Gavai gave the green signal to the CBI to prosecute the stalwart of communist movement in June.

Earlier, the central agency had asked Vijayan to appear before the CBI court at Kochi on September 24.

The Rs.374-crore SNC Lavalin scam, has created a tussle between Vijayan and State Chief Minister V.S.Achhuthanandan. (ANI)

Govt. plans 2,500 model schools on PPP model in two years: Sibal

Koraput (Orissa) , Aug.29 (ANI): Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal on Saturday said the Government was planning to set up over 2,500 model and 200 central schools on public-private- partnership (PPP) basis in the country in next two years

Inaugurating the much-awaited central university in this tribal-dominated town, which often witnesses Maoist violence, Sibal informed that the proposed model schools would be set up in the backward areas to provide primary education to all as “higher education has no meaning unless primary education was strengthened.”

“The schools would be set up in PPP as part of our efforts to strengthen the human resource base,” Sibal said during the function.

Sibal also asked corporate houses to invest in a big way in the education sector.

Corporate houses should come forward to invest in the education sector as developing human resources is the key to the success of any nation, Sibal said.

He remarked that though the country made progress in the field of education in the last 62 years, it required much more.

“About 1.5 lakh Indian students are going abroad for education. We will like to provide all facilities in the country so that students need not go to foreign countries.”

Sibal also said only 12 out of 100 students reach the graduation level in India, while the figure was 85 in the US and added that the Central universities in backward places like Koraput could help students get into higher learning. (ANI)

Govt. efforts and media’s role helped in largely containing Swine Flu: Soni

New Delhi, Aug.29 (ANI): Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni on Saturday claimed that the spread of swine flu pandemic had been largely contained with the efforts of Government and crucial role played by media in educating people about the deadly disease.

Addressing media after inaugurating a two-day film festival of short documentaries by well-known photographer and art historian Benoy K Behl in the national capital, Soni said: “The Government has been successful in providing information to people on swine flu. Even television channels have played a major role in educating people by inviting doctors and experts in their studios every day to provide information about the deadly virus.”

The Minister said the government has taken concrete steps to implement major schemes during its first 100 days in office.

“The government has taken concrete steps on all the flagship schemes introduced by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who is himself monitoring their implementation,” Soni said.

Soni, while seeking greater cooperation from states, said they should make extra efforts to provide benefits of various central schemes to people. (ANI)

Govt. to unveil foreign trade policy today

New Delhi, Aug 27 (ANI): The Government will unveil its foreign trade policy today for the next five years starting from FY10.

It is expected to eliminate or refund taxes and offer cheaper bank credit to recession-battered exporters, besides encouraging them to look beyond the US and European markets.

The policy will address the problems plaguing the Indian exporters, particularly the labour-intensive sectors such as textiles, leather, gems and jewellery.

India’s exports fell at an annual rate of 27.7 per cent in June to 2.8 billion dollars, its ninth straight monthly fall, as economic downturn in key developed markets continued to hurt demand for local goods. (ANI)

Govt. to implement NREGA in a way to benefit drought-hit areas

New Delhi, Aug 26 (ANI): To ensure effective implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, political parties across the board have agreed today to join hands with the government.

This will help in mitigating the impact of the drought in several parts of the country.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi after an all party meeting, Rural Development Minister Dr. C P Joshi said that there was a consensus on the issue and the programme will be implemented in such a way so that the drought hit areas are benefited.

He elaborated that works like digging of wells and other development works will be taken up in the draught hit areas.

Dr. Joshi noted that the focus of discussions remained the extension of benefits of this historical programme to target beneficiaries.

The meeting focused on the strategy to make NREGA more effective and transparent. Representatives of national parties participated in the meeting.

The Rural Development Minister has made it clear that the feedback and the suggestions from the political leaders will be taken into consideration to make implementation of the scheme more beneficial for the targeted sections.

The Ministry of Rural Development held an all-party meeting on NREGA today. Both the government and the national political parties were of the view that though NREGA has made a huge impact in the rural areas, there is still considerable scope for improvement in its implementation at different levels.

The representatives of the political parties lauded the Minister Of Rural Development for his initiative in political consultation.

Dr. Joshi assured that this would be a continuous process and requested the representatives to hold detailed discussions internally in their parties so that this dialogue becomes broad based.

The meeting is a part of the national dialogue initiated by the Ministry Of Rural Development to ensure the implementation of NREGA in a transparent, accountable and responsive manner so that he benefits reach out to the needy and the poor in the rural areas. (ANI)

Govt. to pay remaining arrears of Sixth Pay Commission

New Delhi, Aug 25(ANI): The Central Government on Tuesday announced that it would pay the second installment of the Sixth Pay Commission arrears to its employees, estimated to be about five million employees.

The step will put a burden of over Rs 17,500 crore on the exchequer.

The Government has so far paid only 40 per cent of the arrears, and in a notification, it asked employees to apply for the remaining 60 per cent of the arrears, which has to be paid as the government implemented the new pay scales with effect from January 1, 2006.

“As in the case of the first installment of the arrears, government servants would be permitted to deposit their arrears in their GPF (General Provident Fund) accounts,” said a Finance Ministry’s office memorandum.It has now been decided that the remaining 60 per cent of the arrears may now be paid to the concerned government servants,” the memorandum added.

About 3.8 million Central Government pensioners (excluding armed forces) as estimated by All India Central Government Pensioners Association (AICGPA) will also get their final installment of arrears.

The memorandum, however, didn’t mention any date on which the arrears would be paid. (ANI)

Maharashtra Govt. challenges revocation of MCOCA provisions in Malegaon blasts case

Mumbai, Aug 24 (ANI): The Maharashtra Government has filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court challenging the revocation of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) provisions in the September 2008 Malegaon blasts case.

The court will hear the matter on September 8. It asked the state to serve a copy of the appeal to the 11 accused.

On August 2, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan said that his government would challenge the verdict given by the Special Court to drop the charges under MCOCA framed against the 11 accused of the Malegaon blast, in the Supreme Court.

Earlier, a Special Court in Mumbai had dropped provisions of the MCOCA invoked against Sadhvi Pragya Singh, Lt Col Prasad S P Purohit and other accused of September 2008 Malegaon bomb blast.

The Court in its verdict observed that none of these accused are part of an organised crime group.

The court also ordered the trial will be heard in a regular Nashik court and that the accused can now become eligible for regular bail.

The Malegaon blast investigations were the first instance of an official probe, which charged a Hindu terrorist group with involvement in serial blasts. (ANI)

Chinese govt. office “too busy to fuss with” public

Beijing, Aug. 24 (ANI): A Chinese citizen who filed an online complaint to a government department was told: “Our office is too busy to fuss with you. Come to the office and face us.”

The shocking reply from the city landscaping office in Yingcheng, Hubei province came albeit a new set of regulations binding government departments to promptly respond to Internet complaints.

The reply has left netizens absolutely outraged about the attitude of government department.

“I can’t believe officials talk so naively these days. This is almost uncivilized language. To tell you the truth, I’m pretty disappointed to see this kind of response from Chinese officials,” China Daily quoted Wu Hai, as saying.

“This is such a disgrace for officials in China,” wrote another netizen.

The Yingcheng government’s reply came after a local resident named “Freezing Smile” suggested that local officials should visit a deserted landscaping site left uncared for along a pedestrian street in the city.

It was posted to the Letters to the Mayor section on the official government website.

“Will the Party and local residents be satisfied with such an inactive government institution like our landscape office?” the post said.

Under public pressure Sunday, the government in Yingcheng apologized and promised to punish the officials responsible.

“Leaders of the city’s landscape office have filed a written explanation to the Party and the city government. They apologize to all netizens and have already repaired the pedestrian street that the residents have complained about,” a statement from Yingcheng government said.

Official government websites normally run a section that allows residents to file online complaints that have ranged from reports of pollution to corruption appeals.

Officials are required to reply to each online complaint and may get warned or blacklisted if they fail to do so. (ANI)

‘Minus-one’ formula a ploy to weaken, dislodge PPP Govt: Pak PM

Lahore, Aug 24 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the ‘minus-one’ formula was just a ploy to weaken and dislodge the PPP government at the centre.

During an informal meeting with his close associates here on Sunday, a source quoted Gilani as saying: ‘I am well aware of the designs of the opponents of my party. They are giving an impression that our party would emerge stronger and the government would complete its term if I agree to the ‘minus-one’ formula, but they are working to send the whole set-up packing.”

“Efforts are being made to weaken the party, but we will not let them succeed,” The Dawn quoted him, as saying.

Commenting on the issue of the trial of former president Pervez Musharraf, he said: “The matter of Musharraf’s trial under Article 6 is not over yet. However, there can be a difference of opinion on how to proceed.”

Talking to reporters at the residence of Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Sardar Assef Ahmed Ali, he denied that the issue had affected his relations with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif.

“I have good relations with Sharif,’ he said, adding that both the PPP and PML-N had suffered at the hands of dictators.

About the ‘minus-one formula’ he said: ‘There is no concept of minus-one formula in democracy.’

The Prime Minister said he was constantly in touch with President Asif Ali Zardari, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders on all-important issues, including the sugar crisis.

Gilani also said that terrorists were fast losing strength and would soon be eliminated.(ANI)

Govt. orders enquiry into Terminal 1-D damage in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 22 (ANI): Taking serious note of the incident, in which a section of the newly constructed Terminal 1-D at the Indira Gandhi International airport was damaged due to heavy rains and wind, the Civil Aviation Ministry on Saturday ordered an enquiry into the incident.

The enquiry will be conducted by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

On Friday (Aug 21), heavy rains and wind damaged a section of the newly constructed terminal building in the national capital, resulting in disruption of flight operations and facilities at the terminal-1D.

The Ministry has asked the DGCA to fix accountability and suggest appropriate action under its licensing and regulatory powers.

The enquiry would ascertain the cause and contributory factors resulting into the incident and would make recommendations for prevention of occurrence of such incident in future

It would also suggest various measures to strengthen oversight mechanism on development, operation and maintenance of new aerodromes, including expansion of the existing ones.

The DGCA is authorised to take necessary assistance from technical experts wherever required. It will complete the enquiry in two months and submit the report to the Ministry of Civil Aviation. (ANI)

Himachal Pradesh Govt. sets up toll free number for swine flu information

New Delhi, Aug.21 (ANI): The Himachal Pradesh Government has started a toll free number to provide information on swine flu to the general public.

The state’s Health Minister, Dr.Rajeev Bindal, told a health ministers conference here today that a state team comprising of epidemiologist, physician and microbiologists has been trained at national level and sensitization workshops have been conducted at state and district level to raise the awarness about swine flu among health practioners and general masses.

He also said that teams have been formed to treat suspected swine flu patients in the state.

He revealed that so far samples of eighteen suspected swine flu patients had been sent to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) in New Delhi, out of which 13 samples have reported negative while one sample has reported positive.

Bindal requested the NICD to provide a report on the swine flu samples within the next 24 hours so that treatment could be started immediately.

He also sought central assistance for training IEC and to meet other contigencies arising out of the swine flu threat in the state.

The minister appealed to the Centre to provide additional medicines, masks, ventillators and other infrastructure required to treat the patients.

He said rapid response teams,isolations beds, protective equipments and facility to collection of samples have been made at all district hospitals and two medical colleges of the state.

Bindal also welcomed the Central Government’s decision to set up a national level institute for alternative medicine.

Bindal revealed that so far Rs.70.12 crores had been spent under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scheme and added that rupees 11.62 crore rupees had been disbursed to health committees in the state. (ANI)
