Miller, 28, now wears the faith’s bracelet and attends meetings at the Kabbalah Centre in New York.

According to pals, Miller wants to learn more about the mystical Jewish belief.

“Sienna seems fascinated,” the Daily Star quoted a friend of the actress, as saying. (ANI)

Minogue, 41, who has enjoyed a career spanning three decades, is teaming up with stylist-turned-West End art director William Baker to create a musical.

“Yes, William Baker and I are working on getting the story written. I’m comfortable because it’s not my life story; it’s about the interpretation of my music,” the Daily Star quoted her as telling Elle magazine.

She will be following in the footsteps of ABBA, Queen and the Spice Girls, who have all had their songs turned into a musical. (ANI)

Aussie Saker to coach England bowlers

Former fast bowler David Saker has followed in the footsteps of fellow Australian Troy Cooley and been appointed as England’s new fast bowling coach.

Saker, who spent six years as an assistant coach with Victoria after playing 72 first-class matches for the state and neighbouring Tasmania from 1994 to 2003, is to replace Ottis Gibson, who has taken over as the head coach of West Indies.

“I’ve long held ambitions of coaching at international level so the prospect of working with the England team is something I’m very much looking forward to and excited by,” the 43-year-old Saker said in an England and Wales Cricket Board statement.

“I believe I can offer the England bowlers a great deal and oversee their development at the highest level.”

Cooley was widely credited with helping England’s bowlers to a surprise Ashes victory in 2005, though he has since joined the Australian team.

England coach Andy Flower says he is looking forward to working with Saker.

“We were sorry to see Ottis Gibson leave the position but we believe we’ve found an excellent successor and look forward to David joining us in the lead-up to what will be an exciting and challenging year ahead,” he said.

England hosts Bangladesh and Pakistan before it travels to Australia in November to defend the Ashes.

David Hasselhoff to headline show in Las Vegas

London, April 01 (ANI): David Hasselhoff is set to follow in the footsteps of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra by having a headline show in Sin City.

“I think it’s going to be very soon now that I’m back here with my own show.

“I have a musical show. We just performed it and it went great. We’re getting offers. I’m talking with hotels here.

“Maybe I’ll start downtown. I like it here. It has the old Vegas vibe and then [I’ll] move it to the Strip later,” The Daily Star quoted him as saying.

“I’m the busiest I’ve been in a long time. I’m going over to Germany, where my music business is still extraordinarily big.

“I’m recording a new romantic songs CD and for (US television network) PBS, we will shoot a special in the castles of Ireland, with the Celtic women dancing in unison with me,” said Hoff, who quit his role as a judge on America’s Got Talent. (ANI)

Following in the footsteps of stars like Billy Crudup and Bob Hoskins, the ‘Titanic’ star is in talks to play the powerful role in a new biopic about J. Edgar Hoover, reports the Daily Express.

Earlier, Crudup played the FBI boss onscreen in last year”s ‘Public Enemies’, while Hoskins played the same role in Oliver Stone”s ‘Nixon’ in 1995.

And now, DiCaprio is considering tackling the role in ‘Hoover’.

The film will be directed by Clint Eastwood, according to reports by website Deadline New York. (ANI)

Carey Mulligan to play Eliza Doolittle in ‘My Fair Lady’ remake

London, Mar 26 (ANI): English actress Carey Mulligan is set to play Eliza Doolittle in a remake of the film ‘My Fair Lady’.

Mulligan, 24, will be following in the footsteps of late actress Audrey Hepburn, who had played the part of Doolittle in 1964.

Actress Emma Thompson, who wrote the script for the new version of the film, disclosed Mulligan’s involvement as she attended the premier of her latest Nanny McPhee film.

“I think Carey is set to play it, yes,” the Telegraph quoted her as telling BBC Five Live.

She also said that she was keen for actor Hugh Grant to play the role of Henry Higgins that had originally been performed by late actor Rex Harrison.

“I love Hugh so I’d love him to do it. He might want to, he might not want to, so we don’t know yet. But hopefully we’ll make it later this year,” Thompson added. (ANI)

Love rat Jesse James offered $500K to pose nude for Playgirl

New York, Mar 26 (ANI): Jesse James, who allegedly cheated on Sandra Bullock, has been offered half a million dollars to appear nude for Playgirl.

According to E! Online, James, 40, is the latest name to be approached by the mag in recent months.

“We”ll offer him 500,000 dollars to pose in a Coney Island freak show setting,” Playgirl rep Daniel Nardicio confirmed. “We”d do a whole circus-themed freak show, with tattooed men and sword swallowers!”

If James agrees to appear in the buff, he will be following in the footsteps of Levi Johnston, the baby daddy of Sarah Palin’s grandson, reports The New York Daily News.

Meanwhile, Brigitte Daguerre, a photographer in Los Angeles, is the third woman to come forward in recent days claiming having a fling with James.

Bullock and James” marriage was first shattered last week when In Touch magazine featured an interview with Michelle (Bombshell) McGee, a tattooed model who claimed to have an 11-month affair with James. (ANI)

How to deal with husband’s infidelity, by Julianne Moore

London, March 23 (ANI): Actress Julianne Moore has recommended that married women should try talking to their husbands if they suspect infidelity.

The Chloe star, who has been married to second husband Bart Freundlich since 2003, urged ladies not to follow in the footsteps of her character in the film who hires hookers to trap her potential cheating husband.

“Having been married for a long time and having friends who were married a long time I can”t tell you the phone calls I”ve gotten from somebody saying, ”Listen, I have to talk to you about this because I think he”s doing X,”” The Daily Express quoted her as saying.

“You say to them, ”Have you talked to him about it?” and they haven”t. I think women do that a lot. I think we turn to our friends and say, ”He was out really late? Do you think he”s seeing somebody?”

“I think there is a tendency within relationships to sometimes turn out for information with a girlfriend before you talk to your husband about it. I have seen that a lot; people asking outside the marriage for advice,” she added. (ANI)

Smith not quite ready to hang up boots

George Smith insists he has not played his last Super Rugby match, as the Brumbies prepare to blood their highly-rated 18-year-old flanker Michael Hooper against the Chiefs at Canberra Stadium on Friday.

Smith, 29, will end a run of 59 straight matches stretching back to 2005 by missing the Chiefs clash with shoulder nerve damage.

He suffered the injury in last Friday’s 39-34 loss to the Blues in Auckland.

Smith who has already announced he will be leaving the Brumbies at the end of this season, hosed down reports he might have played his last match for the franchise for whom he has won eight player-of-the-year awards.

Having suffered a similar injury before, Smith was aiming to return for the April 10 home clash with the Cheetahs.

With a bye to come between the fixtures against the Chiefs and Cheetahs, Smith was hoping to miss just a single match.

“I’m definitely confident I haven’t played my last game (for the Brumbies),” he said.

“I’ve had a nerve injury before in the past and came back relatively quick in terms of that regenerating, the medical staff are doing great things with me and I will be doing my utmost best and everything possible to get back.”

With Smith sidelined, Brumbies coach Andy Friend had no hesitation in pitching Hooper into the starting openside spot against the Chiefs.

Stepping up

Hooper, who has been promoted from the franchise’s academy program, has signed a two-year senior Brumbies contract.

Friend mulled over moving one of his other back rowers into the openside position, but ultimately opted to give a Super Rugby debut to Hooper, who he described as a “quality young player”.

“I think in the modern game you need a genuine number seven and (Hooper) gives us the coverage,” Friend said.

Hooper is adamant he is ready for his rise in status.

“I’m very excited, big shoes to fill, but great footsteps to follow,” he said.

Smith has a high opinion of Hooper, whom he has mentored since the youngster joined the franchise.

“He’s really impressed me with the way he goes about the game, he’s a very exciting player with huge potential,” Smith said.

“He’s very fast around the paddock, he has an instinctive ability to be where the play is and where the ball is.”

Friend will make one other enforced change to the side which lost to the Blues, following confirmation inside back Christian Lealiifano has suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury.

The injury could sideline the in-form back for the remainder of the season with Friend saying he may be out for up to 12 weeks.

“He’s been probably our star performer in the backline and to lose him is a big blow,” he said.

Friend also says utility back Julian Huxley, who has played two matches for the Brumby Runners since a two-year hiatus following the removal of a brain tumour, is “pretty close” to breaking back into the Brumbies’ top 22.

Captain and outside centre Stirling Mortlock is expected to return from a neck and back injury.

Tas sailor retraces Bligh voyage

A Tasmanian adventurer is to recreate what many consider to be the greatest open boat voyage in maritime history.

Don McIntyre and three others will follow in the footsteps of Captain William Bligh who was cast adrift in the Pacific after the mutiny on the Bounty.

Captain Bligh sailed a small wooden boat 4,000 nautical miles from Tonga to Kapang on the island of Timor.

Don McIntyre will retrace the voyage with no GPS or charts and survive on rations of less than 400 grams a day

“We’re supporting the Sheffield Institute Foundation which is a motor neurone centre of excellence in England and we’re trying to raise money for them as well.”

“That’s going to be an important part,” he said.

He leaves next month on the 221st anniversary of the mutiny.

Susan Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri strips for TV show

Melbourne, Sep 18 (ANI): It seems budding actress Eva Amurri is following in her mother Susan Sarandon’s footsteps, for she is playing the role of a student who turns to stripping in the latest series of US hit show ‘Californication’.

Sarandon was known for doing similar roles more than 20 years ago- in ‘The Hunger’ in 1983, she dropped her clothes for a controversial lesbian love scene with Catherine Deneuve and has never shied away from nudity in films.

And now Eva, 24- born from Sarandon’s relationship with an Italian director during the Eighties- is kick-starting her own acting career in a racy guest appearance on the show.

She stars as Jackie, a student who moonlights in a strip club, during the third season of the show starring David Duchovmy, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The show sees her writhing around Duchovmy’s college professor character Hank Moody, peeling off a corset to dance for him topless.

And later, she is shown at his place taking their relationship to the next level. (ANI)

Clark hopes next generation of Oz cricketers value country above the dollar

Sydney, Sep.17 (ANI): Experienced Australian seamer Stuart Clark has warned that he can only hope the next generation of Australian cricketers values playing for their country ahead of chasing the almighty dollar on offer in the Indian Premier League and next month’s Champions League.

Skipper Ricky Ponting, who said he expected more people to follow in the footsteps of English all-rounder Andrew Flintoff and pursue the shorter version of the game, backed up Clark.

According to the Daily Telegraph, former one-day star Michael Bevan also weighed into the money-v-country debate when he questioned how much longer cricketers would be prepared to support the Test scene now that there were lucrative alternatives.

“What scares me the most is where does it leave the game if people just go chasing large sums of money for a bit of hit-and-giggle,” Clark told The Big Sports Breakfast.

“I think we as players all owe it to Test cricket to try and keep it afloat. I know the administration is working hard at it, but I personally hold grave fears for where the game is heading,” he added.

Clark said he had noticed youngsters at NSW getting excited about the money at next month’s Champions League in India, which offers a three million dollar purse to the winner and could earn the players 130,000 dollars each – the equivalent of a top-end state contract.

Ponting said more players could snub Test cricket to copy Flintoff.

“I think it probably could happen more and more especially with guys retiring from Test match cricket and wanting to play only the shorter versions of the game,” he said.

Bevan, who scored nearly 7000 runs in 232 one-dayers for Australia, told The Daily Telegraph: “I’d like to hope there is a strong allegiance shown by the players to Test cricket, but up until what point they continue to do that I’m not sure.” (ANI)

Elton John heads off to St. Tropez for holiday

London, Aug 19 (ANI): Brit singer-songwriter Elton John has followed in the footsteps of other stars, and headed off to St. Tropez for a holiday.

John, 62, has been busy with his shows in Las Vegas, and it is only now that he has been able to join his partner David Furnish, who has been at the posh French resort since last month, reports the Mirror.

The singer, who is taking a break before he kicks off a Canadian tour next month, was seen heading for the beach as soon as he got there.

Other celebrities who recently visited the summer celeb retreat were Jack Nicholson, Lily Allen, and Kate Moss. (ANI)

Ferguson backing Rooney to lead in post-Ronaldo era

London, Aug 8(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is backing striker Wayne Rooney to lead the Red Devils from the front in the post-Cristiano Ronaldo world, starting against Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.

Ferguson would bring Rooney from his selfless left-sided duties to fill the gap left by Ronaldo, who transferred to Real Madrid in an 80 million pound deal.

“Wayne is a totally different type of player to Ronaldo. I don’t think the responsibility of getting more goals will affect Wayne at all. He’s got the mental strength. He’s proved that time and time again” The Telegraph quoted Ferguson, as saying.

“He will be used as a central striker this season. He goes on these bursts of goals, but if he can do that more consistently over the season he will get to 25 and above,” he added.

The 67 year-old further said that Rooney was an exceptional player and it would be difficult for any player to fill his shoes at the Old Trafford, but believes that if a player has determination, nothing would be impossible.

“Any player, whether Wayne Rooney, Macheda, Welbeck, Nani, all the forwards, all have to say ‘well, this guy was exceptional,” said Ferguson, adding that only the most dedicated can follow in such productive footsteps by having the desire to improve themselves in every training session. (ANI)

Pitt to Kutcher: Don’t photograph your wife’s butt

Washington, July 16 (ANI): Don’t expect Brad Pitt to follow in Ashton Kutcher’s footsteps and take picture of his partner’s booty and post it online.

In August’s Wired magazine, the star is asked what he thought about Kutcher putting a photo of his wife Demi Moore’s bottom on Twitter.

“Don’t take a picture of your wife’s butt. That’s silly. Take pictures of other people’s wives’ butts,” Usmagazine.com quoted him as telling the magazine.

As for online dating, the 45-year-old actor has warned those looking for love on the Internet.

“Everyone lies online. In fact, readers expect you to lie. If you don’t, they’ll think you make less than you actually do. So the only way to tell the truth is to lie,” he said. (ANI)

Kelly Rowland in no mood to follow in Beyonce’s ‘designing’ footsteps

Washington, July 14 (ANI): Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland has no plans to follow in the footsteps of former bandmate Beyonce Knowles and open her own clothing line, after she has hosted a cutthroat fashion competition.

The singer was the host of Bravo’s U.S. reality series ‘The Fashion Show’ with celebrity designer Isaac Mizrahi, and has gained a newfound respect for designers who participated in the competition.

Rowland respects Beyonce’s decision to venture into the fashion world with her mother Tina by launching her range, House of Dereon.

But the singer has claimed that she’s just not passionate enough about clothes to make a move into fashion.

“Designing is not easy. I think clothing lines just pop up (and) people don’t realise there’s so much work and so much detail that goes into creating a whole line. I don’t want to do one. I’ll leave that to the designers,” Contactmusic quoted Rowland as saying.

She added: “I’ll figure out something else to be. You really have to have a passion for it, that’s with anything – but designing specifically.” (ANI)

MJ’s father wants grandkids to be stars like their dad

Washington, July 11 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s father, Joe, wants his grandchildren to become superstar like their dad.

Joe Jackson is willing to share the custody of Price 12, Paris 11, and Blanket, 7 with his estranged wife Katharine, and raise them to be stars like the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker.

He insists that the pair should be allowed to raise the kids together.

“We should keep them all together and make them happy. And feed them like they’re supposed to be fed. And let them get rest… and grow up to be strong Jacksons,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying

Joe adds that at least two of the kids have the potential to follow in their father, uncles, and aunts’ footsteps.

“I keep watching Paris. She wants to do something… (and) Blanket can really dance,” he said. (ANI)

Aniston plans to open own restaurant

Washington, Jul 4 (ANI): ‘Marley and Me’ star Jennifer Aniston is reportedly set to open her own restaurant, and is developing plans for one.

Aniston, 40, is also reported to be testing her culinary skills on her friends, before she commits to following in the footsteps of famous restaurateurs, including Eva Longoria-Parker, Ashton Kutcher and Robert De Niro.

“Jennifer is really passionate about cooking. She recently had a new kitchen fitted and she loves it. She can cook anything from Mexican meals to Italian food to cakes,” Contactmusic quoted a source as having told Limelife.com.

“She does use cookbooks but mainly they are her own recipes. Everyone says she should open her own restaurant and she said she would love to,” the source added. (ANI)
