Steve Garrison to Address Open Automation in Dynamic Data Centers and Best
Practices in Social Media and Marketing Events
SAN JOSE, Calif.–(Business Wire)–
Force10 Networks, Inc., the global technology leader that data center, service
provider and enterprise customers rely on when the network is their business,
today announced that Steve Garrison, vice president of marketing, will deliver
remarks at two separate sessions at Interop 2010, scheduled to run April 25-29
at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
Garrison will address Interop attendees from 11:15-noon Wednesday, April 28 on a
talk titled, “Clouds, Open Automation and How the Network Can Help.” Noting how
timely and topical the session is, Garrison said, “The dynamic data center will
become fully realized only after there is an aggregation of pieces and parts.
Pulling them together is the trick and we think Force10 and its eco-system
partners have cracked the code on how to do this.” This session will take place
in meeting room K at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
Additionally, Garrison will join UMB Tech Web chief executive officer Tony
Uphoff and two other panelists in a session titled, “What is the Future of Live
Media.” Uphoff, as moderator, and the panelists will address best practices
involving web/social media, events, campaigns, field marketing and sales,
measurement and securing executive buy-in. Garrison said that among other
things, he will advise his fellow marketers that leveraging Twitter and/or
Facebook is fine, but unless it`s an integral part of the total marketing mix
and strategy, then the effort runs the risk of being a one-off.
Sponsored by the Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA), this session will
take place from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28 in the Breakers J meeting room
(second floor) at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
