Faith Hill goes incognito in Redbook mag’s May issue

Washington, April 23 (ANI): Country singer Faith Hill has posed as three other iconic blondes for the May issue of Redbook magazine.

The 41-year-old has posed as actress Brigitte Bardot, model Twiggy and actress Grace Kelly, reports Fox News.

On portraying Grace Kelly, Hill said: “Grace is probably the one that I relate to the most in my life and the one that I have most in common with.”

“I have this seemingly high-profile life, like Grace did, and we were both the mother of three children. She epitomizes the all-American girl with a quiet class and inner strength. She was like everybody’s girl-seemingly comfortable and accessible-yet untouchable,” she added.

On portraying Brigitte Bardot: “To be completely candid, I felt least like Brigitte of all three of the women. To me, sexuality is very different from sensuality. And Brigitte possesses this sensual essence that is so powerful. If I could possess that kind of sensuality, I would want to possess it like she does,” Hill said.

On portraying Twiggy: “It was hard for me to look at myself as Twiggy,” admits Hill. “I think she was in her late teens when the original photo was taken. And there’s a very big difference between a teenager and a 41-year old,” Hill said. (ANI)

Jennifer Hudson perfect to sing US national anthem, says Faith Hill

London, Jan 31 (ANI): Country singer Faith Hill has praised Jennifer Hudson for choosing the Super Bowl for returning to the spotlight after her family tragedy.

Hudson is set to perform the U.S. National Anthem in front of millions of viewers before the Super Bowl making her comeback after the brutal murders of mother, brother and nephew in October last year.

Hill feels that Hudson has chosen the perfect event to mark her comeback.

“She is a strong girl, a girl of faith,” the Daily Express quoted Hill as saying.

“I believe to come and perform the National Anthem, which is this country’s favourite song, at a time that our country is stepping up and moving forward for future generations – I think it’s just the perfect choice,” she added. (ANI)

Beyonce to sing ‘At Last’ for Obamas’ first dance at inauguration

New York, Jan 17 (ANI): Singer Beyonce Knowles will be singing ‘At Last’ for Barack and Michelle Obama’s first dance at the inauguration ball, it has been confirmed.

Aptly chosen, the song was to be kept under wraps as per the Presidential Inaugural Committee’s decision, however, the singer disclosed the secret in an interview on Entertainment Tonight.

“To sing ‘At Last’ while [the Obamas] have their first dance is a dream come true,” The New York Daily News quoted her as saying on the show.
And now, a representative for Beyonce confirmed the song choice on January 16.

Beyonce had recorded her version of the Etta James standard for her portrayal of James in last year’s film “Cadillac Records,” and will now present her rendition to welcome the first black President into office.

The ‘Baby Boy’ singer is part of the celeb-packed lineup at the official Neighborhood Ball, which include names like her husband Jay-Z, will.i.am, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Sting, Faith Hill, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder and Maroon 5.
Other A-listers like Denzel Washington, Jessica Alba, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ray Romano, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah and Kate Walsh, will also be seen in attendance.

The event will be televised on ABC.

In an interview in November, Knowles, a proud Obama supporter, volunteered to be part of the inauguration ceremony, saying: “Whatever they want – if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I’m there, and I’m ready.” (ANI)
