How to stay fit in flu season

Washington, Sept 20 (ANI): As cold and flu season approaches, giving up junk food for more healthy options would help maintain a strong immune system.

Dr Ara DerMarderosian, professor of pharmacognosy for University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and an expert in nutraceuticals and natural foods, have provided guidance to change how you eat and break habits that pack on the pounds and compromise immunity.

? Don’t play “food police”

Be conscious of what and how much you eat, but don’t overdo self-monitoring to the point that a healthy lifestyle shifts from being a choice to becoming overwhelming, pushing other activities away and interfering with relationships.

? Pay attention to true hunger

Listen to your hunger signals and refrain from eating when you’re not hungry. Eating when your body doesn’t need food can cause you to overindulge.

? Eat slowly

Eat like a gourmet – enjoy each bite to have, chewing methodically, and truly enjoy the taste of your food. Eating slowly gives your body time to break down the food, which can prevent post-meal indigestion and feeling bloated.

? Focus on eating

Do not watch television, read or work while you eat. When you’re not focused on eating, it’s unlikely you’ll notice how much is going in your mouth.

? Avoid eating when stressed

Stress is a well-known cause of overeating and digestive issues, such as heartburn. A relaxing atmosphere, enjoyable company and conversation, and not feeling rushed for time makes for a healthy meal.

? Everything in moderation

Eating food is pleasurable, so enjoy a few morsels of candy, but limit the quantity. (ANI)

Ludhiana hosts seminar on Sufism

Ludhiana, Sep 19(ANI): Ludhiana recently played host to a national seminar on Sufism. This time, the theme was the influence of Sufism on modern times.

The Sahitaya Academy of New Delhi and the Punjab Sahitaya Academy organized the seminar.

The seminar also focused on the ‘pain of separation from God’ and intellectuals, poets and Sufi singers.

“Sufism says that God, whom a man looks for all over, is within him. And once he realizes this fact, he will be free of his ego and will find happiness,” said Vaasthe Mohi, a Sindhi poet from Ahmedabad.

While, Gulshan Majith, a poet from Jammu and Kashmir, said: “When God is everything, so what is the importance of religion and caste discrimination, this is the message of Sufism. Shaivaism, Buddhism and Sufism give same message to the world and consider this world as the manifestation of that supreme power and do not make a distinction with the other. There are no boundaries. Everybody in this world is equal for God.”

The participants also put forth the argument that many Punjabi poets make use of themes from popular Punjabi culture. r. Chandraprakash Deval, a poet from Rajasthan, said Sufism is the paramount method to fight terrorism.

“Sufism is the best way to fight terrorism. If the minds of people can be changed, they will start respecting other religions, humanity and the feeling of brotherhood and secularism will increase, terrorism will be finished then. So to fight terrorism it is important to popularize the way shown by Sufism, adopt and follow that way and spread the feeling of brotherhood,” Deval said.

Sufi singer Balbir Kaur, who also teaches singing at Guru Nanak College in Ludhiana, held the audience spellbound and she also highlighted that school students must be made aware of the great cultural heritage, traditional folk art and literature of the Sufi saints, to promote Punjabi language.

Associating Sufism with any one religion is against its very basic tenets. Underlining this basic fact, renowned Sufi singers Idrim Khan and Skakur Khan from Rajasthan sung the verses of Bulle Shah, Guru Nanak, Kabir and Sajjan Shah. By Karan Kapoor (ANI)

PML-N moves privilege motion against Zardari

Islamabad, Sep 16 (ANI): The Pakistan Muslim League-N has moved a privilege motion in the National Assembly (NA) against the statement of President Asif Ali Zardari on giving the safe passage to the former president Pervez Musharraf.

The motion signed by 91 MNAs has been brought by Hanif Abbasi, Dr. Tariq Fazal and Anjum Aqeel, the NA Members of the PML-N.

It may be recalled that opposition leader in NA, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had announced to move a motion against Zardari the previous day, and demanded Zardari to present all the aspects of the deal – regarding Pervez Musharraf – in front of the nation and Parliament.

Earlier in the day, contradicting media reports over indemnity being granted to Musharraf, Zardari’s spokesman has said that there have been no negotiations with the so-called international guarantors to give indemnity to the former president.

In a statement, Farhatullah Babar said the President Zardari in an informal talk on Monday with reporters had remarked that national political leaders and parties had held negotiations among themselves to chase Musharraf out of office and restore Presidency to the democratic forces.

In the talk with journalists there was no mention of negotiations with the so-called national or international guarantors to give immunity to Musharraf subsequent to his exit, he said.

Zardari’s remarks of negotiations among national political parties to strategise the sacking of Musharraf have unfortunately been distorted and misrepresented as talks with so called guarantors for indemnity to Musharraf, Dawn quoted Babar, as saying.

He said no one denied the holding of negotiations among national political parties to drive Musharraf out of office.

Babar said it was the result of these negotiations that the national parliament and all provincial assemblies adopted resolutions calling upon Musharraf to quit.

It was also the result of these negotiations that the parties joined hands in preparing a comprehensive and historic charge sheet to impeach Musharraf in case he refused to quit, he said.

There was nothing new in Zardari’s remarks about negotiations among political parties to force Musharraf out of office, except for the distortion and spin now given to it, Babar added.

Babar said the noise and din raised over the alleged remarks wrongly attributed to the President is part of the campaign to discredit Zardari for anything and everything that goes wrong. (ANI)

Giant killer Del Potro believes he is the biggest tennis star on the circuit

New York, Sep.16 (ANI): Argentine tennis player Juan Martin Del Potro still can’t believe he has won this US Open, but now believes he is the biggest new star in tennis.

“It’s my best sensation,” he said. “Since my childhood I have dreamed of this trophy. I have realised my dream. It is an incredible moment. It’s amazing match, amazing people. Everything is perfect. Maybe tomorrow, maybe next week I will be believing in this. Now, I can’t believe it,” The Mirror quoted Del Potro, as saying.

The 6 ft 6in Argentine caused a massive upset by beating a fustered Roger Federer in five thrilling sets in the US Open final.

The world No.1, the reigning French Open and Wimbledon champion, was seeking his sixth successive title after winning 40 consecutive matches at Flushing Meadows.

But he was simply battered into submission by the 20-yearold with a murderous forehand making his first appearance in a Grand Slam final. Despite a horrible start, Del Potro triumphed 3-6 7-6 (7/5) 4-6 7-6 (7/4) 6-2 in four hours and six minutes – the longest US Open final for 20 years. (ANI)

Worst Brit footie team ends 90-match losing streak with victory!

London, Sept 16 (ANI): Harraby Athletic, the worst football team in Britain, has finally tasted victory – after a losing streak of 90 matches.

The side has been on a losing spree since three years and was badly mauled in a 19-0 match in 2006.

The team concedes 10 goals a game on an average and their goalie has seen the ball netted over 400 times in less than three seasons.

The under-14 squad celebrated their first win after beating Edenvale Hawks 3-2 at their home ground, Hammond’s Park.

Sky News quoted coach Brett Preston as saying: “Pure determination has got us there and their faces after the game meant everything.

“All week I’ve had other managers phoning me up to congratulate us on our achievement.

“When we lost our first game 19-0, it could have even been a higher score as the opposing manager tried to help us by swapping players around and telling them to ease off.

“They just couldn’t help scoring against us. Gradually over time, the scores have come down, but we’re always bottom of the table and we’ve never even won a friendly match.”

Harraby has only one point in the Longhorn Youth Football League after the opponents did not play the game.

It consists of players who are either playing for the first time or have been rejected by other teams.he coach said: “They know that if they leave, they might not get the chance of a game as they might not get into another team.”

However, Preston also praised the determination of his boys.

He said: “The boys have been prepared to stick at it and been willing to learn. They turn up for training in all weathers and really deserve a win at last.” (ANI)

MJ’s secret sister JohVonnie reveals her ‘snub’ pain

London, September 14 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s half-sister has revealed that the pop legend wasn’t warm to her when she met him during a family get together.

JohVonnie Jackson, whose mum was a lover of MJ’s dad Joe, is close to her father.

She claims that the Jacksons have shunned her for 35 years but was once invited to the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker’s Neverland ranch in 2003 when the clan got together.

Also, JohVonnie alleges that she wasn’t allowed to talk to either the late singer or her half-sister Janet when she attended their concerts.

“I feel rejected by some of my family. It’s upsetting and hurtful,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.

Referring to her meeting with the late singer she said: “It was a big moment for me. But Michael was looking at me and seemed cold. He just said, ‘Hi’ and then he saw my daughter Yasmine and was fascinated with her.”

Jackson made a mistake pronouncing her niece’s name and called her ‘Jasmine,’ which JohVonnie corrected.

She recollected: “He said, ‘OK, Yasmine with a Y’, and that was it. He never acknowledged that I was his sister, there was no hug or kiss, not even a handshake. No physical contact at all.

“I wanted to embrace him. I thought he would want to go some place quiet and sit and talk with me and ask me about my life and get to know me a little better.

“It was very hurtful. He was not interested at all.

“With my daughter he was totally different. She got hugs and kisses, everything I didn’t get. I was a little jealous. But there was a bunch of people there and I never did get a chance to speak to Michael properly. Again, there was this theme that I felt shut out.”

Apparently, JohVonnie spent that night at a nearby hotel and returned to Neverland the next day but she didn’t get to see her iconic half-brother.

She said: “Michael was in the main house. Yasmine and Paris were off playing for hours. Paris is such a sweet girl.”

Though she said she talked to brother Jermaine and sister Rebbie but insists: “None of my other siblings acknowledged me much.” (ANI)

Pregnant Heidi Klum bares bum for sexy mag shoot

London, September 13 (ANI): Heidi Klum has left many jaws hanging in the air after baring her bottom for a magazine picture shoot.

The Victoria’s Secret model, who is expecting her fourth child next month, sported a tiny backless snakeskin dress while posing for the camera.

“She might be a mum of three already but Heidi has still got it. Men go wild for her,” News of the World quoted an insider at the photo session, for the New York Post’s Page Six Magazine, as saying.

But the 36-year-old German, married to British singer Seal, may disagree with the suggested popular opinion.

Klum previously said: “The last month (of pregnancy) is unbelievable, how rapidly your stomach goes. It’s huge. The thighs, the butt – everything explodes.” (ANI)

Body double does most of Alec Baldwin’s role in 30 Rock

Washington, September 12 (ANI): Actor Alec Baldwin has a body double for his role in hit TV Show 30 Rock, as he can’t spare enough time to film it himself, it has emerged.

The star apparently works just three days a week, as he needs to travel back to Los Angeles to spend time with his daughter Ireland.

According to sources it has led to the comedy show creator and star, Tina Fey, organizing rehearsals and scenes around Baldwin’s absence, by using a stand-in.

“Tina saves Alec’s speaking lines for his arrival on set, but everything else is shot with a stand-in,” Fox News quoted an on-set source as saying.

Most shots featuring Baldwin’s character are shot from behind or sideways.

The insider said: “Those [body double takes] make it into the final cut of the show. There are many back shots and side shots that don’t show Alec’s face, because it is his stand-in on Alec’s days off.

“The goal is to have everything ready to shoot Alec when he’s there, with as little stress as possible.

“He does not have the desire to be tied to a set six or seven days a week, and Tina was willing to work it so that he could get everything he wanted. Alec can pretty much do anything he wants at ’30 Rock’.”

Baldwin was spotted at the U.S. Open this week watching tennis. (ANI)

‘Osama’s handshake was limp, like shaking a wet fish’

London, Sep 12 (ANI): The handshake by world’s most dreaded terrorist Osama bin Laden has been described as limp, and like shaking a wet fish by a producer of CNN who met the terror mastermind.

CNN producer Peter Bergen, who wrote The Osama bin Laden I Know: An Oral History of al-Qaeda’s Leader, met the most dreaded terrorist in March 1997 when he went to film his first television interview.

Bergen narrates about the extra security around bin Laden and how they were taken to his hideout at night changing vehicles blindfolded.

The interview took place near the Tora Bora region of eastern Afghanistan where Bergen and his crew were electronically swept for tracking devices, and had to pass through three groups of guards armed with sub-machineguns.

“Bin Laden made no effort at small talk, wanting to get the interview done as soon as possible. Peter Jouvenal, our British cameraman, remembers that bin Laden’s handshake was limp, like shaking a wet fish,” The Times quoted him, as saying.

“I don’t recall shaking his hand but I do remember that he took frequent sips from a cup of tea, giving him an air that was more feline than fierce, and his blistering diatribe against the US for its policies in the Middle East was delivered in a barely audible whisper. After an hour he was gone, as suddenly as he had arrived,” he adds.

He also narrates Abdel Bari Atwan, a London-based Palestinian journalist who interviewed him in Afghanistan in 1996, as saying that Bin Laden, it seems, had prepared for life as a fugitive for years, adopting a monk-like detachment from material comforts.

Zaynab Khadr, whose family lived with the al-Qaeda leader in Afghanistan during the late 1990s, was quoted by the author as saying that he did not even allow his children to drink cold water because he wanted them to be prepared for the day when there’s no cold water.

He quotes Bin Laden as once instructing his followers: “You should learn to sacrifice everything from modern life like electricity, air-conditioning, refrigerators, gasoline. If you are living the luxury life, it’s very hard to go to the mountains to fight.”

In a tape posted to Islamist websites in February 2006, he says bin Laden confirmed his willingness to be martyred: “I have sworn to only live free. Even if I find bitter the taste of death, I don’t want to die humiliated or deceived.” (ANI)

South Africa Sports Minister warns of World War III over Semanya

London, Sep 12 (ANI): The South African government has threatened a “third world war” if the International Association of Athletics Federation bans champion runner Caster Semenya over a test that shows her to be a hermaphrodite, a person with both female and male sexual characteristics.

The IAAF commissioned a gender test on the teenager after her performance levels improved remarkably in the build-up to the competition.

The leaked report that a gender verification test had found the 18 year-old to be a hermaphrodite with no womb was greeted with outrage in South Africa on Friday, with politicians, sports officials and Semenya’s relatives decrying the teenager’s public humiliation.

On Friday the IAAF attempted to diffuse the controversy by refusing to confirm the medical reports, insisting that it would make official comment until after the test results had been verified by a panel of scientific experts.

But the prospect of the teenager being disqualified from future female races drew a furious response from South African Sports Minister Makhenkesi Stofile, The Telegraph reports.

“I think it would be the third world war. We will go to the highest levels in contesting such a decision. She’s a woman, she remains our heroine. We must protect her,” he said.

Semenya was due to run in a 4km race at the national cross-country championships in Pretoria on Saturday, but was withdrawn by her coach Michael Seme on the grounds that she was “not feeling well”.

The IAAF is expected to disqualify the South African from future events and advise her to have surgery because her condition carries grave health risks, The Daily Telegraph report claims.

A source closely involved with the IAAF tests said Semenya had internal testes-the male sexual organs, which produce testosterone.

“There certainly is evidence Semenya is a hermaphrodite. But the trouble is the IAAF now has the whole ANC and the whole of South Africa on their backs. Everything is going to have to be done absolutely by the book, no question of a challenge to the findings,” the source said. (ANI)

Mafia may be behind Berlusconi’s sex scandal, claims coalition partner

London, Sept 12 (ANI): Responding to the sex scandal engulfing Silvio Berlusconi, Umberto Bossi, the key coalition partner in the Italian PM’s government, said he believed Mafia had orchestrated all the dirty activities.

“I think everything has been put in place by the Mafia,” Bossi, the leader of the Northern League, said as he arrived at an event in Pian del Re in the north of the country.

He added: “We have introduced very tough laws against the Mafia.

“I already said to Berlusconi, ‘Look out because the Mafia is involved in that; the Mafia organises prostitution’. I am convinced that the Mafia organised this thing here.”

On Thursday, for the first time, Berlusconi admitted that Giampaolo Tarantini, a businessman, had brought “beautiful women” to his parties but denied that he had ever paid for sex, reports The Times.

In May, Berlusconi’s estranged wife, Veronica Lario, had announced that she wanted a divorce from the premier after accusing him of being “not well” and obsessed with young women.

She was apparently furious over his attendance at the 18th birthday party of an aspiring lingerie model, Noemi Letizia.

Later an escort, Patrizia D’Addario, claimed that she and another prostitute had sexual intercourse with the prime minister at his official residence in Rome following a private party. (ANI)

IAAF in a fix as tests prove Semenya is a hermaphrodite

Melbourne, Sep 11 (ANI): The International Association of Athletics Federations is likely to strip champion runner Caster Semenya of the gold medal she won in Berlin last month, as a test has shown that she is a hermaphrodite – a person with both female and male sexual characteristics.

The tests, not yet publicly released, show the 18-year-old has no womb or ovaries.

The IAAF is expected to disqualify the South African from future events and advise her to have surgery because her condition carries grave health risks, The Daily Telegraph reports.

And she could be stripped of the gold medal she won in Berlin in last month, as she has three times more testosterone than a normal female.

A source closely involved with the IAAF tests said Semenya had internal testes — the male sexual organs, which produce testosterone.

“There certainly is evidence Semenya is a hermaphrodite. But the trouble is the IAAF now has the whole ANC and the whole of South Africa on their backs. Everything is going to have to be done absolutely by the book, no question of a challenge to the findings,” the source said.

It is believed that Semenya is unaware the tests has identified her as a hermaphrodite.

Only the certainty of a backlash from South Africa has so far prevented the IAAF from banning Semenya and revoking her gold medal.

South Africa embraced the feisty teenager after the storm of controversy from Berlin, declaring her “Our girl”.

African National Congress MP and National Assembly sports committee chairman Butana Komphela has already lodged a complaint with the United Nations High Commission on Human Rights, accusing the IAAF of racism and sexism.

The IAAF expects to receive the full set of results this week. (ANI)

Oz bosses bringing back 1950s style of management

Melbourne, Sep 10 (ANI): A survey has shown that bosses are cutting costs and dropping the collaborative management style of the early 2000s in favour of the 1950s-style.

Social researcher and leadership expert Avril Henry said that employers are doing everything from cutting out biscuits to banning hot food from the office.

They are also telling employees to snack on fruit outside in a bid to cut cleaning costs and cope with strained budgets, and are also micromanaging and bossing their staff around, rather than engaging with them.

“It sends a signal to employees that ‘I don’t trust you can do the job without being closely supervised’, it equates not seeking input from anybody below senior executive level,” News.com.au quoted Henry as saying.

The South African-born public speaker and author of Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders Today says examples of tight, bossy behaviour began emerging at the end of last year amid the deepening financial crisis.

“In the process of cutting costs we often do things that alienate the employees,” she said.

“You can cut the biscuits and you can tell people ‘we’re not providing tea and coffee, bring in your own’, but we still pay senior executives and CEOs huge bonuses,” she stated.

Henry says the leadership style is putting bosses on a direct collision course with Generation Y.

“Gen Y just go ‘I’m not working for a boss like that’,” she said of the generation born between 1980 and 1995.

“Gen Y will leave a job without another job to go to even in the current environment.

“They will do a job with less money, not necessarily in the same industry they were in, or equating to what they’re qualified to do, to work in environment where they are happy and they feel valued, not only as employees but as human beings,” she said.

Many generation X-ers (born 1965 to 1979), now in management roles, see this as “entitlement mentality”, but Henry thinks it’s a positive backlash to “toxic” workplace conditions.

“I think that (attitude is) what’s going to change workplace culture,” Henry, who is also a trained accountant, said.

“We have too many workplaces which are toxic, by toxic I mean people aren’t valued.

“Every organisation says ‘people are our greatest asset’ – my immediate response to that is then why do most organisations treat their employees like liabilities?” she stated.

“Bosses who cop a pay cut or ask their staff for thrifty suggestions show they’re ‘willing to share the pain’,” she added. (ANI)

Now, LiLo to play fashion adviser

London, Sept 10 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan has been appointed as the style consultant for French fashion house Emanuel Ungaro.

It is reported that bosses even fired the brand’s top designer, Esteban Cortazar, for opposing Lohan as the choice for the top job.

The Daily Express quoted Lohan as telling WWD.com: “To be in a position where I’m working with a fashion house in Paris sets it apart from every other celebrity brand.”

The Ungaro staff is also delighted to have the Mean Girls star with them.

CEO Mounir Moufarrige said: “Everything we’re going to get is going to be a plus. I think the noise level around Lindsay will be very, very big.”

The 23-year-old Lohan is no newcomer to fashion as she launched her leggings line 6126 in the U.S. last year. (ANI)

A Q Khan’s nukes to Iran claims hold no ‘official status’: Pak diplomat

Washington, Sep.10 (ANI): Hours after disgraced Pakistani nuclear scientist Dr AQ Khan claimed that Pakistan had helped Iran acquire the nuclear technology with the aim to jointly emerge as a ‘strong bloc’ in the region, a Pakistani diplomat has out rightly rejected Khan’s claims.

Spokesman of the Pakistani Embassy in Washington, Nadeem Kiyani, said Khan’s statement has no ‘official status’.These are the views of a person who has been rendered ineffective, and his network has been completely shut up,” The Nation quoted Kiyani, as saying.

Kiyani said Islamabad does not want proliferation of nuclear technology in the region and is doing everything to keep a tab on such activities.

Meanwhile, a proliferation expert has said that Dr. Khan has many secrets regarding the transfer of nuclear know-how’s to other countries, but is not willing to disclose the details.

“Khan has ‘always threatened to tell more, perhaps who authorised the transfer of designs and samples of technology, if not more, to several states,” said Stephen Cohen, a proliferation expert at the Brookings Institution.

Referring to the television interview in which Khan had disclosed that he provided nuclear details to countries like Libya and Iran with an aim to counter international pressure and ‘neutralize’ Israeli power, Cohen said: “Khan appeared to hold back a lot in the interview.” (ANI)

Taller people are happier than shorter ones

London, Sept 9 (ANI): Taller people are much happier with their lives than shorter peers, says a new study by U.S. academics.

The research published in science journal Elsevier’s Economics and Human Biology claimed people of greater height ‘live better lives’ on average, as they are better equipped to deal with life’s problems compared to their vertically challenged counterparts and they possess more of a positive outlook.

To reach the conclusion, scientists interviewed around 454,065 American adults, asking them all to detail their height, their emotions and where they saw themselves on an “imaginary life ladder.”

From analyses, boffins found that taller people reported a range of positive emotions such as enjoyment and happiness than shorter people in the survey, reports The Daily Express.

Men who reported that their lives were the ‘worst possible’ were more than eight tenths of an inch (2cm) shorter than the average man.

Women who saw themselves ‘on the bottom step’ were shorter than the average woman by half an inch (1.3cm).

However, not everything was rosy for leggier participants.

The taller you are, the more likely you are to experience stress and anger, whilst tall women have a tendency to over-worry, the study found. (ANI)

George Clooney’s ex Sara Larson turns private yoga instructor

Washington, Sep 8 (ANI): Former Las Vegas cocktail waitress Sara Larson, who dated actor George Clooney in 2007, has turned into a private yoga instructor in Los Angeles.

There had been rumours earlier this year of Larson having her own Vegas-based reality show in the works, but it seems she has opted for a more spiritually satisfying lifestyle.

“I do yoga pretty much every day. I am a certified yoga instructor, so I actually teach yoga,” Fox News quoted Larson as saying at the recent Reality Cares’ Sizzles Charity Benefit in Los Angeles.

She also revealed that “all of a sudden” guys have started calling out of nowhere for private classes, and she’s now in talks to design her own yoga-inspired clothing line.

Larson, who has found herself a new love, says she doesn’t give a hoot about her ex’s romantic relations.

“Dating has its challenges and either two people connect or they don’t,” she said.

“There’s a lot of other factors that are involved as to whether it will be a long-term relationship or not, but everything for me right now is new.

“I’m not in touch with George at all. I don’t have any regrets,” she added. (ANI)

Maradona insists he won’t quit, instead will work hard like crazy

Buenos Aires (Argentina), Sep 7(ANI): Argentina coach Diego Maradona, who faces the axe if his team fails to qualify for next year’s World Cup in South Africa, has said that he will not quit rather he would “work hard like crazy”.

The two-time World champions was beaten by South American rivals Brazil, and are currently fourth in their group, just two points ahead of Ecuador and Colombia.

“This won’t break me. I will work hard like crazy. To lose to Brazil is always ugly. We were very motivated about winning and moving closer towards the World Cup. But now we can’t sit back because qualifying will be tough,” The Sun quoted Maradona, as saying.

Maradona further accepted to take the responsibility of defeat against Brazil, and said that Messi should not be blamed for it, as he wasn’t the only on playing.

“I won’t complain about my players, because I threw everything at Brazil. Unfortunately we just couldn’t turn the game,” he said.

Maradona also said that there was now huge pressure on the team ahead of the next qualifier, which will be played against Paraguay on Thursday. (ANI)

Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian’s mood swings terrifies her boyfriend

Washington, Sep 7 (ANI): American socialite Kourtney Kardashian has revealed that she is suffering from such terrible mood swings ever since her pregnancy that her boyfriend Scott Disick is terrified of her.

Kourtney, 30, who is expecting her first child with Disick, admits that her hormones are affecting her temperament, but she is doing her best to try not to be rude to those close to her.

“Scott keeps getting scared. But he’s been great with my mood swings so far. He’s like, ‘Just take a deep breath,’” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“He heard that with the last three months of a pregnancy you have really extreme mood swings so he was joking, ‘Oh, you’re not going to believe the mood swings!’” she said.

But it is not only her partner who has been getting the sharp end of her tongue, her family, including sisters Kim and Khloe and mother Kris, have also been suffering.

“If I’m just trying to pick a fight with someone and if I’m around Scott or my mom, then they’ll probably get it worst,” she told People magazine.

“If someone is annoying me – usually my mom – I’ll call Khloe and it’ll make me feel better because she’ll agree with me.

“I throw b***h fits. The other day, I was like, ‘This house is such a mess! Now that Scott’s living in my house, there’s stuff everywhere! We need to get it organised!’ Everything I had to do, I blamed it on Scott,” she added. (ANI)

Jordan furious with Alex Reid for lying about sex film

London, Sep 7 (ANI): Former model Katie Price, a.k.a. Jordan, reportedly got furious when she came to know about her lover Alex Reid’s involvement in a sex film, which shows him naked in a rape scene.

Before the new nude footage emerged, the 31-year-old had publicly defended her boyfriend from porn allegations by saying that he did not strip for the ultra-violent flick ‘Killer Bitch’.

However, Jordan was left red-faced when Reid showed her a censored version of the film, cutting out his X-rated bits..

According to reports, the film almost cost Reid his love.

“He made a mistake and it nearly cost him his relationship with Kate,” the Daily Star quoted one of Jordan’s friends as saying.

“He’s pulled out of the film and is looking to sue the makers because there has obviously been a very big leak,” the friend added.

Though the two showed a united front at the Burghley Horse Trials, near Stamford, Lincolnshire, the atmosphere between them remained icy as she promoted her KP Equestrian range.

“Despite putting on a brave face, Kate is furious that Alex has betrayed her by lying about the film and keeping secret scenes from her,” a source said.

“She believed everything he said and stood by him, but has been left looking like a total mug. This will leave their relationship in turmoil.

“Kate was all business at Burghley but is set to haul him over the coals for humiliating her once she gets him alone.

“Alex let her make a fool of herself on national TV and it’s touch and go whether she’ll be able to forgive him.

“She’s furious and he’s treading on very thin ice,” the source added. (ANI)
