announced the addition of the “Outlook of Future LNG Markets- Analysis and
Forecasts of Upcoming 20 Potential LNG Markets” report to their offering.

Outlook of Future LNG Markets – Analysis and Forecasts of Upcoming 20 Potential
LNG Markets

Global LNG markets have evolved strongly over the last decade. With declining
construction and operational costs, the spread of LNG markets is rising rapidly.
Robust natural gas demand coupled with supply diversity advantages are resulting
in an increased number of countries participating in world LNG trade. Between
2010 and 2015, 21 new countries are expected to start LNG trading, providing a
strong scope for companies existing or planning to enter LNG market.

Entry of these markets is expected to result in diversification of global LNG
market and growth in trade volumes. However, the price bases will not alter in

investments for new entrants and existing players but on the other hand, it can
reduce the domination of the existing majors.

Zurich mulls Dublin HQ for life assurance -source

LONDON, June 13 (Reuters) – Zurich Financial Services AG (ZURN.VX) is looking to create a single headquarters for its European life assurance business to be based in Dublin and is in talks with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) regarding the move, a person familiar with the matter said.

The Swiss insurer said in an e-mail to Reuters that it “continues to explore ways to streamline its legal structure & optimise its capital efficiency and we have made no decisions about how this will be achieved within our Life businesses.”

Such a move would mirror a similar decision last October by Britain’s second-biggest insurer Aviva (AV.L) to cut costs by centralising its continental European businesses in a holding company in low-tax Ireland. [ID:nLM469492]

Zurich completed a similar reorganisation of its European general insurance businesses 18 months ago. (Reporting by Myles Neligan and Julie Crust; Editing by Louise Heavens)

Research and Markets: Global SaaS-Based Web 2.0 Software Market 2009- 2013

DUBLIN–(Business Wire)–
Research and Markets
(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/488c24/global_saasbased) has
announced the addition of the “Global SaaS-based Web 2.0 Software Market 2009-
2013″ report to their offering.

Web 2.0 is the term for advanced Internet technology and applications; that
includes blogs, wikis, RSS and social bookmarking. Web 2.0 is a mix of
technology and business process that facilitates conversational marketing. SaaS
or Software-as-a-Service is a new technique in the field of software technology
. It allows to use any software application only when there is a requirement of
such a utility. In other words, it is an on-demand software service provided by
the vendors to its consumers. The SaaS based Web 2.0 software is the on-demand
use of advanced Internet applications like blogs and wikis, to facilitate
collaborative marketing. The popularity of SaaS based Web 2.0 software
applications has increased manifold globally. This popularity is primarily
driven by the application’s capability of providing high services, which
requires less maintenance. The availability of applications on-demand makes it
highly flexible, when the maintenance of the tool is taken into account.
Further, presently, the users are not faced with the constant maintenance issues
when the application is not in use. Moreover, the on-demand service also saves
the complex hardware requirements, since all the applications are hosted from
the servers of the service providers.

Presently, organizations are making use of online services (such as blogs) to
collaborate with the end customers and users. Customer Collaboration is
important to receive continuous suggestions and feedback about the product or
service. Product Management involves marketing and providing product related
support to the customer, which forms an important part of SaaS operations to
move towards closer collaboration with the user base. Over the last year,
integration of customer collaboration and product management with business
operations has been accepted as a standard practice among all the vendors of the
SaaS based Web 2.0 software. Moreover, integration of collaboration tools and
services into the applications as a part of the operations has grown a great
deal.

SaaS based Web 2.0 software facilitates advanced collaboration among different
user groups and communities in the social media. Its applications enable users
to share insights, comments, notes, references, documents, etc. within the user
groups. The implementation and use of such applications enhance employee
productivity, and promote social learning within the organization. Moreover,
since multiple features are embedded into a single application, a SaaS based Web
2.0 software is highly configurable. Configurability allows administrators and
users to set their own preferences, enable or disable a feature, make changes to
user interface, etc. This reduces the need for heavy customization in a software
package.

This report by TechNavio Insights highlights the current and future market
potential of the global SaaS-based Web 2.0 Software market. Further, it
discusses trends, drivers, growth inhibitors. It also profiles a few major
vendors in the market.

Key Topics Covered:

1. Introduction

2. Market Size and Forecast

3. Geographic Segmentation

3.1 Market Size in Americas

3.2 Market Size in APAC

3.3 Market Size in EMEA

4. Market Trends in SaaS-based Web 2.0 Software Market

Research and Markets: Global SaaS-Based Customer Relationship Management Market 2009-2013

DUBLIN–(Business Wire)–
Research and Markets
(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/2df54f/global_saasbased) has
announced the addition of the “Global SaaS-based CRM Market 2009-2013″ report to
their offering.

SaaS (Software-as-a-Service)-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is an
on-demand deployment of CRM software, where the user can access the software
through license or lease as a Web-based service. It provides an alternative to
implementation or maintaining CRM software.

The SaaS-based CRM is increasingly becoming popular as resources are maintained
by a service provider. Further, SaaS-based CRM provides flexible, low-cost
business model to enable its customers focus more on their core business.
Moreover, the businesses can easily meet the fluctuating demands through this
model. Additionally, the SaaS-based CRM service provider gives customers
network-based access to a single copy of CRM application, which is created
specifically for SaaS distribution. Thus, it eliminates the need for time
consuming patches and updates in the software.

The tough economic conditions have resulted in the growth of the SaaS-based
marketing model. This is because it provides the companies with cost-effective
option of accessing a software-as-a-service instead of implementing the entire
package software. Thus, the companies are adopting new technologies such as
SaaS-based CRM that can substantially reduce the cost.

Presently, the credit crunch and small & medium businesses are opting for
SaaS-based CRM as a cost effective alternative by making installment based
payments. Moreover, most of the IT companies are channelizing their product
portfolio and introducing new service offerings (like social networking services
through the SaaS-based CRM). Further, the increasing use of Web-based computing
and popularity of Web-based applications have fueled the growth of SaaS-based
CRM. Furthermore, the companies are exploring new mediums to enhance the
customer experience through the adoption of SaaS-based CRM.

This report highlights scope of the SaaS-based CRM market, along with trends,
drivers, growth inhibitors and a few major vendors in the market.

Key Topics Covered:

1. Introduction

2. Market Size and Forecast

Ronan Keating ‘accused of cheating by wife’

London, May 21 (ANI): Boyzone star Ronan Keating’s marriage is said to be on the rocks – his wife Yvonne has reportedly thrown him out of the house accusing him of cheating on her.

The former model, 36, ordered the singer to leave their Dublin home after a late-night showdown.

The news comes months after the tragic death of the Boyzone star’s close friend and band member, Stephen Gately.

“Ronan left home on Monday after Yvonne asked him to leave. There was lots of arguing again on Tuesday over everything from rumours about other women to his upcoming work in Australia and they decided to split,” The Sun quoted a band source as saying.

“Telling the kids was heartbreaking. They were both just devastated and never thought it would happen. Custody and things like that have not been talked about yet, it”s just too raw,” the source added. (ANI)

Boffins develop ”The Kug”: a kettle and a mug!

London, May 12 (ANI): A mug which doubles as a kettle and features a heating element that can boil water in just 90 seconds to make a cup of tea or coffee has been developed.

Kug is the brainchild of Ben Millett, 21, and Alan Harrison, 22, who came up with it for a design project at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.

The pair had been tasked with creating a product to help people with rheumatoid arthritis when they created the Kug.

“As part of our research we met people with the condition to talk to them about what kind of problems they encountered on a day-to-day basis,” the Telegraph quoted Millett as saying.

“And when we stopped for lunch we noticed some of the ladies trying to pour a cup of tea. After chatting to them we found out how difficult it was for them to lift a kettle that”s how it all started.

“We looked at the whole process of making a hot drink – from the kettle to putting a tea bag in a cup and filling it with water. And after lots of concepts we ended up with this idea.

“It meant one less object people would have to deal with and it wouldn”t be such a strain on the wrists, hands and fingers,” Millett added.

The design even won the Arthritis Ireland Easy to Use Design Award.

The Kug, similar in size to a travel mug, is made up of two cups.

The outer cup contains the heating filament and is plugged into a base, which is powered through mains electricity.

The inner cup, which contains the liquid, can be removed and washed after every use.

Millett said: “It works just like an ordinary kettle.

“When the water”s boiled you just take the cup off the base and enjoy your drink. You can also adjust the temperate on the base so it keeps the liquid warm until you”re ready.

He added: “It”s energy efficient and saves water because you only put the amount you actually need into the cup. It”s also portable so you can have it at home or take it in the car with you and have it on your desk at work. And it”s much lighter than a kettle.” (ANI)

How a stolen piano nearly ruined Bono’s music career

London, May 08 (ANI): U2 star Bono has revealed an incident which he considers one of the big disappointments of his younger years.

””One of the big disappointments of my young life was when the piano was taken from my grandmother”s house,”” he said while in New York.

But, the Dublin-born rock star praised his school”s music facilities for kick-starting his career, reports The Telegraph.

””Luckily for me, I went on to a school with a strong music facility,” he said. (ANI)

Air travellers can face problems as volcanic ash returns to threaten flights

London, May 4 (ANI): Air travellers could face further problems on Tuesday as experts monitored the return of the volcanic ash cloud over UK airspace

The skies over parts of Scotland were closed as a precaution last night after an increased concentration of volcanic ash was detected in the atmosphere, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said.

The ash is forecast to exceed the safe level agreed by the CAA and airlines in the Outer Hebrides today, The Scotsman reports.

Airspace over the Outer Hebrides was closed to all operations at 6 p.m. following advice from the Met Office.

The closures could see flights to and from the Western Isles cancelled, but the situation will be constantly reviewed. Passengers are advised to check with their airline before travelling, The Scotsman reports.

The move came as flights in and out of Ireland, including Dublin, Cork and Belfast were grounded for six hours from 7 a.m. this morning as a dense plume travels across the island

The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) said the decision to ground aircraft was based on the safety risks to crews and passengers as a result of the drift south of the volcanic ash cloud caused by the north-easterly winds, The Scotsman reports. (ANI)
